TravelRe: Nigerian Students In Germany..how Do You Survive?? by Cnwag: 11:42pm On May 14, 2019
Thanks...Already enrolling for Azure training as well as CCNP..
Bless you

pompido:
CCNA and MCSA are primarily customer facing certifications as they are entry level certifications and as such would require fluent German to get offers easily in these areas. Of course there are offers out there that do not require German for such roles.

My colleague at work is still trying to write his ICND 1 though his German is pretty good for a French guy.

A CCNP friend of mine has a contract till at least next year in Hamburg earning well over 1k per month while still being a student.

My advice, try to gain some production environment experience before you land in Germany and package your CV well. Also try to learn AWS, Azure or Kubernetes as a add on.

You will be glad you did wink
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In Germany..how Do You Survive?? by Cnwag: 4:30pm On May 14, 2019
What of someone who is trained in CCNA and MCSA. ?

pompido:
In the cases I have seen, one does not need to start from B.SC. Most of them simply take up learning programming on the side with whatever they are doing, try to get werkstudent jobs to help with experience in that field and post degree apply for jobs which they get. I do know someone that simply started assisting an Indian small IT business in order to gain IT experience, he has since become an IT professional. Most IT firms especially startups will employ anyone with programming skills irrespective of the educational background.

Also, there are english taught B.Sc courses in IT. Example is Information Engineering in Hamburg. I am sure a little research can reveal more. I think Dolpaz's school has a B.Sc course in english for computer science also. This is if you really want to go the B.Sc route.

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Cnwag: 8:07pm On May 06, 2019
From what I read and understand category A is for people with their Admission letter and B is for those waiting for their AL.
Not sure but little inquiry to the embassy will clarify things.

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Cnwag: 8:24pm On Mar 02, 2019
What of people who are trained in courses like ccna server and cloud computing?
devmantic:
Having a good knowledge of the German language prior to graduation is important although most international companies in Germany (e.g. Siemens, BASF, German Aerospace Centre [DLR] etc.) are more than willing to hire young foreign graduates who speak English and have limited German language skill upon graduation. On the long run, one is expected to learn German over time if he/she wants to work and live in Germany. The main challenge in landing a job after studies is skill-related. Imagine having a skill that is on-demand yet rare to find (e.g. programming with Python, C++, Java or being a specialist in MATLAB, AutoCAD, PDMS etc.), everytime you submit a CV, I can guarantee you that you will be given an opportunity for an interview in English. So my advice to those coming to study in Germany will be to focus on STEM-related courses and DO ALL YOU CAN to master a software skill (either in Nigeria or in Germany via internships or HiWis). I hope this was helpful.

Bro what idea do u have about these schools uni cologne and Bielefeld uni.?

honourableseyi:
Lol. Then your nigga is not telling you the total truth. He is either not going to school anymore or he has taken a semester leave. If you are thinking of coming into Germany on a student visa with the mind of doing 50hrs per week job, I will advise you to erase it from your mind. I hope you will get here very soon to experience it firsthand and not what your "nigga" has told you. Shalom

Does anyone know any University open for admission this November?

Thank you in advance.
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Cnwag: 12:19am On Oct 22, 2017
The course I am going for no public uni is offering it and its just collegium civitas that's offering that course.
Its a Masters in Criminal justice so what do you suggest I do?
I read through their partnership they have quite a good number of partnership outside Europe countries like USA and Canada for exchange program.
chuman33:
Lots of private universities in Poland are frowned upon. Unless private university whose recognition is well known outside of Poland. Best to stick with government. Even cheaper.
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Cnwag: 8:15pm On Oct 19, 2017
Bro what's your reason for saying don't go to private university..
Fill us in about that
chuman33:
You welcomed. I'm not 100% sure. But I think you get a year extension after studying. Also if your course is business degree or IT/Engineering, then you stand high chances of getting a job. Lots of Nigerians stay in Poland based on after-study permit. Just don't go to private university.
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Cnwag: 8:17am On Oct 18, 2017
Hello bro how true is this that there is high level of racism in Poland..
Also what if u are not been retained or have a job when your done with studies can u still stay back and look out for jobs.
chuman33:
It applies to everyone. Lots of Ukrainians are studying in Poland. And as per staying back after studies, that depends on whether you get hired and retained by a firm. You don't need a special work permit to take up employment in Poland, your normal student resident permit is covers working, and there's no limitations to the number of hours you can work, but the knowledge of Polish language is required almost everywhere for work.
To travel to Canada or US might be more easier in Poland and surely more difficult in Ukraine.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Cnwag: 1:37pm On Oct 16, 2017
Bro you can as well try Poland coz its relatively cheap and they also have quality and recognized universities cost of living as well is also cheap compared to other European countries..school fees is between 2000€-3000€.
You can as well check others too.
fowlyansh181:
thanks a lot for this . It's blunt but the truth lol. If I am to embark for another b.sc which school / country would best meet my criteria and budget? Also what will I need to start immediately as I intend if thinks go successful to start almost immediately
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Cnwag: 12:22pm On Oct 09, 2017

TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Cnwag: 10:40am On Sep 16, 2017
Well thanks for the insight
chuman33:
Collegium Civitas is a private university, not that it's not good but it will be better to source for admission in government owned universities that are well known because this will play s crucial role in your visa application. You have to legalise your BSC and WAEC Certificates. MOE and MFA. You can get admission with that. During Visa application you can then legalise your BSC and WAEC Certificates in the Embassy.
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Cnwag: 3:02am On Sep 16, 2017
Hello can I ask u a question since you have so much info about Poland. Well I m about to put in for admission for masters in collegium civitas for November intake.
My question is this the documents to legalize is just my bsc degree result or is there any other thing to legalize?.
Also how is Poland in general and do u know anything about this university?.
Thanks as I await ur response

chuman33:
OK. Apart from the small difficulty in securing visa I don't see why lots of people sweat so much on other countries for admission and flying to another country to apply for study visa. Poland have as cheap as €2000 per year tuition fee and maximum of €3000. If you are a good student which lots of Nigerians are, they get 50% or more discount on their next year tuition fees. Sometimes the rector can completely waive your tuition fee, including fees for university dormitory. Also traveling from Poland to US and Canada is so much easy. Someone who manages themself well can survive on €100 per month on feeding. Hope my information with assist others.
