CrimePolice Nab Serial Rapist In Oyo by cnwokike(op): 7:43am On Jun 12, 2016
The Oyo State Police command has arrested a notorious serial rapist, Akinlolu Ogunlade (65), who specialises in abducting female teenagers and keeping them in his hideout permanently as sex slaves.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, while parading Ogunlade along with other suspects, said one of his victims, Edelaga OlabisI (11), left home on the night of May 27, 2016 for a vigil at Abidi-Odan area of Akobo and did not return home on Saturday May 28,2016 as expected. Based on information, police detectives later traced the victim to the hideout of the suspect at Abidi-Odan.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, a known habitual rapist, forcefully abducted the victim in the morning of May 28, 2016 while returning from vigil and kept her in his room until May 30, 2016 when she was rescued. Certified medical report disclosed that the suspect had sexual intercourse severally with the victim. The suspect will face the law in court appropriately,” Oyebade said.
The suspect confessed to the crime while talking to reporters, noting that he only raped the minor twice.
Similarly, the police boss said that on May 15, 2016 around 4pm, a report was received that one Alhaji Adamu Auta left Igangan town on his way to Abule-Tapa, but was kidnapped by unknown gunmen. Oyebade noted that the kidnappers later called the family of the victim on phone and demanded a ransom of N2.5 million to secure the release of the victim.

HealthTragic Skin Condition Is Turning 11-year-old Boy Into Statue by cnwokike(op): 4:29pm On Jun 09, 2016
He suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Harlequin ichthyosis that causes the skin to grow faster than normal.

When Nar Kumari delivered her son, she believed that her baby boy was perfectly healthy like most other children. However merely 15 days after she took her son Ramesh Darji home, she noticed that her son’s skin began to peel and was turning into thick, black scales. In fact, Ramesh’s skin condition, known as Harlequin ichthyosis, has now gotten so bad that it has caused the 11-year-old boy to be unable to walk and talk – just like a stone statue.

“His skin started peeling off 15 days after he was born and then the new skin began to grow very thick,” Nanda, Kumari’s husband, told MailOnline. “It hardened and turned black; we had no idea what to do about it. No one helped us.” Instead doctors in Baglung, the remote Nepalese region where the family resides, simply said that this was a ‘fungal infection’ and that they could offer no help. The child suffers from Harlequin Ichthyosis, which is an extremely rare and severe genetic disorder, that causes the skin to grow seven times faster than normal. Kumari shares that by his fifth birthday, Ramesh had begun to complain about experiencing pain and couldn’t even walk. His grave illness has confined him within the walls of their home, which is why he has never been to school. As Ramesh’s father is a poor labourer, the family had a tough time trying to meet the child’s medical expenses.

Fortunately, a video about the little boy that was circulated on social media, led a charitable trust help them pay for Ramesh’s hospital bills. He is currently receiving treatment at the Kathmandu Medical College where doctors at first removed the scales from his body. Dr Sabina Bhattrai, assistant dermatology professor, says, “He was in a really bad state when he was admitted. We had to remove the scales from his body and it was painful.” After that Ramesh was given antibiotics for a period of two weeks to prevent infections. Medicines and moisturiser were also applied on his body to remove the dead skin.

Doctors are hopeful that physiotherapy sessions will enable Ramesh to walk again as his bones and muscles are not weak by birth. Nanda admits that he still feels guilty about not being able to do something sooner. “I feel really sad and helpless to have failed him. Since the layers of skin have been removed he’s even able to speak better. As parents we failed him. My only wish is to see him walk again now,” he says.

Christianity EtcRe: I Want To Convert To A Muslim by cnwokike(m): 2:30pm On May 24, 2016
falcon01:
In Islam, Allah is the supreme god or deity. He is
the creator and described as the “one and only
God.” It is the name the supreme deity chose to
identify Himself in the Koran. Allah is the Muslim
counterpart of the Jewish Yahweh and the
Christian God the Father.
Allah is considered to be true, perfect, and
unique from other beings. Unlike the Christian
supreme deity, Allah cannot be considered as a
“the father” or any annexed names or figures
because He is above among all beings. Islam
teaches that it is unacceptable to compare Allah
to other beings unless in Allah’s role as Creator
and supreme deity.
On the other hand, Muhammad is an actual
person that lived and died. In Islam, he is a
prophet, messenger, and leader. He is also
Islam’s founding father. His name means
“praiseworthy.” In Islamic tradition, he is the last
and most important prophet of Allah.
He is known by many epithets like “The Prophet
of Allah” and the “Seal of the Prophets.”
Other religious prophets like Adam, Noah,
Abraham, Moses, and Jesus are also considered
as prophets, but Muhammad enjoys prominent
status and recognition in Islam. This special
status also affords him the position to be a
mediator between Allah and a Muslim. Muslims
also look to him as a role model in life and faith.
Muhammad was born in Mecca to a prominent
and powerful family. He was orphaned early and
was raised and protected by his grandfather. He
had a family; a wife, two sons, and four
daughters.
How many wife (wives) did you say Mohammed married? Chai, you can lie ooo

FamilyRe: 7 Surprising Habits That Are Costing You Money In Lagos! by cnwokike(op): 10:46am On May 24, 2016
5. Hitting The ATM: While it’s always good to have extra cash in your wallet, minor ATM fees add up over time. Sometimes we tend to grow the habit of being overly dependent on the ATM even when we should hold back and watch them 65 Naira keep racking up till we averaging like 3000 per month or cumulative atm charges.
6. Buying Exclusive Big Brands: While brand recognition is reassuring, many generic food products, medicines, and household products are just as good as their fancily packaged counterparts. They’re way cheaper, too.
7. Smoking : A pack of cigarette goes for 200 to 250 Naira at street price and way more expensive in club or bourgeois settings. A regular smoker would most likely consume from a pack to four packs everyday and could spend as much as 2,500 per week or way more just on burning cigarettes.

Family7 Surprising Habits That Are Costing You Money In Lagos! by cnwokike(op): 10:43am On May 24, 2016
Ever wonder why your bank account is never as full as you’d like it to be? If you’re not buying big expensive things, taking exotic vacations, or dining at using cocaine, it could be because you’ve picked up a few bad habits that are costing you money. Here are 9 behaviour patterns you should avoid if you’re trying to save cash.

1.Sports Betting: Many people especially of the male gender are football club supporters, with ardent following and commitment especially in Nigeria. It has transcended just supporting the football clubs though because the new wave is actually trying to cash out from the habit of supporting the clubs so they play it on a regular with the hope that they will eventually cash out at some point. You can and up spending from 500 to 2000 every month or even more depending on how frequently you bet.[img][/img]

2. Yellow Cabs:
“Cab man Cab man Cab man them boys up to something” You can never take as short walk even if where you are going somewhere that less than 2 kilometres. While I’m not saying you should not enter cabs at all you cant take bikes or buses sometimes while you save to buy a car. If you time it right BRTs are quite comfortable in Lagos and would get you from Point A to Point. A cab from Lekki to Ikeja could for as much as 5000, But depending on your bargaining power.[img][/img]
3. Clubbing: A bottle of Hennessey goes for as much as 35,000 is some clubs to at least 15 to 20,000 in lesser profile clubs but it goes for 5,000 at street price. Imagine having this as a regular habit every Friday! The lowest thing you probably buy in a club is a pack of cigarette which goes for 500 or 1000 in some clubs .[img][/img]
4.Skipping The Gym: Gym registration costs in Lagos vary from 5,000 to 10,000 depending on the gym and location. It is actually more expensive in other areas but that isn’t the issue, skipping the gym is. About 3,000 to 7,000 of these registration fees will most likely go to waste due to underutilization.[img][/img]

RomanceShort Joystick Vs. Long Joystick: Which Is Better For Sex? by cnwokike(op): 9:16am On May 23, 2016
Is long better than short when it goes about penile size? Find out what women think about it.

Nigerian men take special pride in the size of their male organs and consider this factor crucial for sexual satisfaction in the relationship. But it is true that short penis is something that can prevent you from making a woman happy in bed? Or does long penis provide valid advantages for sex?

The key factors in sexual satisfaction of a lady

A research has been carried out in Nigeria with many women and men partaking in it. They answered questions about short joysticks and sexual satisfaction, as well as about the role of penile size (length and widths of it) in their sex life. It turned out that the size is not the top factor.

In some cases, women indicated that having sex with men with large joysticks was not a pleasant thing. If a man does not know how to properly handle his male organ to please a woman, he may even hurt her or cause pain.

A short or a long penis which is better?

Some women stated that this does not really matter. They prefer wider organs to long ones. The width has more to contribute to their sexual satisfaction than the length. And size is not enough for great sex. What women really expect from men in Nigeria is to be good lovers in bed. They should know how to explore female bodies and find their erogenous zones. (And that is not their vaginas!)

PoliticsNigeria Is Ready For Nuclear Energy- FASHOLA by cnwokike(op):
The Federal Government on Wednesday, said Nigeria was ready to commence the production of nuclear energy. The Minster of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, who made this known at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum in Abuja, said Nigeria had secured the necessary certification from the International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA). Fashola Fashola said: “`This thing has protocols and standards; we are already in it; we are not venturing into it; we started a nuclear programme 17 years ago. “We have gone through the training level; we have produced 25 graduates of master’s level under certification by the International Atomic Energy Agency. “We have found the sites; the sites have been approved, two sites have been approved by International Atomic Energy Agency. “We have started the design for the financing; that is the stage we are now; once we conclude that, we move to the design for the construction. “If all things go well, by quarter four of next year – that is the schedule that I met – we should have started construction, so that is what I meet.“ Fashola said it was important for Nigeria to focus on the gains and safety of nuclear energy as obtained in other developed countries. He said that since the whole world was moving toward a cleaner fuel and the use of more sustainable form of energy, Nigeria could be an exception. He, however, said that the developed countries could only share the technology with countries ready keep to the standards in the utilisation of the technology. The minister further said that diversifying the nation’s energy mix would lead to the utilisation of the various forms of renewable energy sources in the country. This, according to him, will ultimately make electricity cheap in the country. “What we are thinking about is long-term solution. We need a solution that will endure for generations to come. “When you design a power solution, design it so that the next coming generations can use it. He said the ministry and other agencies under his supervision were working hard to ensure that Nigeria obtained the best in the electricity industry through strict regulatory responsibilities. On the monthly meeting with stakeholders in the industry, Fashola said it was designed to evolve better ways of managing the industry, adding that it was yielding the desired results.

TravelEgyptair Flight 804 Vanishes Off Radar With 66 People Aboard by cnwokike(op): 7:57am On May 19, 2016
EgyptAir Flight 804 vanished off radar on its way from Paris to Cairo with 66 people aboard, an airline official said Thursday.

The plane was flying at 37,000 feet when it disappeared with 56 passengers and 10 crew members, the airline tweeted.
Dozens of somber family members gathered at the Cairo international airport, seeking word on their loved ones. Buses ferried them to a special hall, where doctors and translators awaited.
The Egyptian navy is conducting search and rescue operations with help from Greek authorities.

What we know so far:
Passengers on board the Airbus A320 included three children, said Capt. Ahmed Adel, a vice chairman at EgyptAir. Earlier, the airline said 69 people were on board. It was unclear why there were conflicting numbers.
The flight left Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport at 11:09 p.m. local time and was supposed to land in Cairo at 3:15 a.m. Thursday. Both the departure and arrival cities are in the same time zone.

The location of last contact was 173 miles (280 kilometers) from the Egyptian coast, the airline tweeted. That contradicted earlier information provided by the airline.
The Egyptian navy is conducting search and rescue operations in the area it vanished, CNN's Ian Lee said from Cairo.
There was no special cargo on the flight and no notification of any dangerous goods aboard, Adel said. There was no confirmation of a distress call either, he said.
The plane entered EgyptAir's service on November 3, 2003, he added.
Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail has arrived at the command center at Cairo airport. The airline also provided phone numbers to the relatives of family members seeking information.
The plane's captain had 6,000 flying hours while the first officer had 4,000, Adel said.
Routine maintenance checks on the plane were done Wednesday in Cairo, before it left for Paris, an airline official said.

More about EgyptAir

Nationalities of crew and passengers
Those on board came from various nations including France, Egypt, Britain, Belgium, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Chad, Portugal, Algeria and Canada.

Analysts weigh in
CNN aviation correspondent Richard Quest said the plane vanished while cruising -- the safest part of the journey.
"Planes just do not fall out of the sky for no reason, particularly at 37,000 feet," he said.
The fact that it entered Egypt airspace and did not report in is highly significant, CNN aviation analyst Mary Schiavo added.
"Since they were 10 miles into Egypt airspace, they should have reported in. If anything had been going on they would have reported at that time," she said.
Experts said while it's too early to determine what happened, the first priority is to find survivors.
"Find the plane, find the people, see if there are folks that could be rescued," said David Soucie, a CNN aviation safety analyst.
"Safety people are looking at safety issues, maintenance people looking at maintenance issues, security people looking at security issues.

Weather conditions
Conditions were clear and calm when the plane crossed over the Mediterranean Sea, according to CNN meteorologist Pedram Javaheri.
"The area in question in the eastern Mediterranean is currently under clear skies, but computer models suggest a storm system may impact the region as early as Friday afternoon," he said.
"Once the plane reached the Adriatic Sea, several hours into its journey, clouds were beginning to clear and it remained that way for at least another 1-2 hours before the plane's final known location."
If there are any survivors, there's still a window to save them.
"The water temperatures in the eastern Mediterranean near Egypt are in the low 20s Celsius [mid to low 70s Fahrenheit]," Javaheri said.
"Survival times in such waters range from 2-7 hours for the elderly or individuals in poor health, while they range anywhere from 2 to 40 hours for healthier individuals."
