I was discussing with a lady friend yesterday. And she said she was so happy that her fiancee is from Anambra. That Anambra men aside from being very intelligent are hard working and know how to take good care of their women. This lady is not from the South East neither is she related there. In my mind, I was like "as nwa Anambra wey I be, so I be hot cake now". Ndi Anambra kwenu................

The parrot newspaper 12th October, 1960 qouted Ahmadu Bello saying "The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory and never allow them to have control over the future". With all the recent happenings, do you think that the President is trying to live us this deluded dream? |
The year 2015 will be over in 57 days..... Surprised? maybe, maybe not. But one thing that will surely come to mind when such statements are heard is to know if one's set goals and objectives for the year was met. As 2016 approaches, it wont be a wrong idea to start preparing ahead for it. Success or failure is built out of habit, and the earlier you re-position your mindset and adopt a new and positive habit, the better and faster it will be for you to begin to realize your potentials. Below are some tips I wish to drop for someone. Read, meditate and act it. I believe it will helpful for someone. 1. 90% of our success is in the head and 10% is in the hand. 2. You don’t become successful because you work hard, you become successful because you work smart. 3. Smart people always hire hard working people. 4. If you want to be successful, don’t take advise from failures. 5. For those in paid employment, your future is after 5pm. Life begins after 5pm. What you do with your life and time, after the normal office hours goes a long way in shaping your life. 6. Most successful people build their successes when others are sleeping. 7. Don’t look for money, look for problems. Because problem solvers are relevant and once you are relevant, money will keep coming even after death. 8. There are many dead people earning more money yearly that most people can earn in a lifetime. E.g Michael Jackson has made $115million this year and an aggregate of about $999billion since 2009. In like manner, Bob Marley and Paul Walker has been making till date since they died years ago. The challenge here is to find out what they did and you too can do same. 9. That you are not there now does not you don’t have what it takes to get there, it could be that you have not applied that which you have in you to enable you get to the places of your dream. 10. Use your head. Identify a problem. Solve the problem. And you will be celebrated…. Good morning. |
Lets laugh off the stress.

This question may sound awkward, but I ve been battling to get answers not after what I saw today. On my home from church, just opposite Forte Oil Petrol Station at Apapa Road, Ebute Metta lagos, I saw a young man between 27 to 29 years old fully unclad. Just standing there looking lost. A drive further down I saw people gathet around a pack of clothes on the floor searching a bag. I figured this could be related to man I saw earlier and it arouse my interest to find out what exactly is going on, so I pulled over at tje closest space I saw and came down from the car. I joined the people and according to what I heard, that the guy stood on that spot and suddenly shouted twice and started removing his clothes till he waw completely unclad and trekked down to the spot where I saw him. Questions were asked to find out if anyone knows him but nobody seems to know him. We were just monitoring his movement. He later walked in the middle of the road and suddenly shouted aloud and all of a sudden got himself and held on to his pe.nis to hide it and then ran to the closest shade to hide from the piercing eyes that are focused on him. On seeing that, his clothes were quickly taken to him. He wore them, boxers first then shirt and trousers all by himself. When he was fully dressed, he was asked his name. He said his name is Tawheed (I may not get the spelling right). That he stays around Adeniji Lagos Island. He even mentioned that house number and street name. The he said he knows that he has this problem and burst into tears. That his mother is late and the dad has abandoned him. That someone promised to help him with money to transport to Osogbo to see a Pastor for deliverance. He was on his was when this incidence occurred. I have to give him something, I was touched and felt real sorry for him. This is a young man that has a lot ahead of him. I have been trying to find answers. What causes madness? I didn't take pictures of him because I believe it will be morally wrong to do so. |
Of those who have diabetes, around 10 per cent have type 1 diabetes (where no insulin is produced) while around 85 per cent have type 2 diabetes (where insulin is produced but isn’t used by the body). The other five per cent are women who have diabetes triggered by pregnancy. Type 2 diabetes is strongly linked with being overweight – especially carrying too much weight around the middle, and with being inactive. Having a family history of type 2 diabetes also increases your risk. The signs and symptoms of type 2 diabetes aren’t always as obvious. It’s often diagnosed during a routine check-up at the GP. And, although the symptoms are often mild and develop gradually over a number of years, there are a few tell-tale signs. If you have any of these symptoms – or you know someone who does – go and get checked out by your GP. 1. Hunger and fatigue Your body and brain cells rely on a tiny sugar called glucose to provide the fuel they need to function properly. Your body tries to regulate your blood glucose level and keep it within very narrow limits. To physically enter the cells and provide nourishment, your body needs the hormone insulin. Insulin ‘holds hands’ with glucose to get it into where it needs to be. If your body becomes resistant to insulin, which can happen when there is too much fat in your cells (this distorts the shape of the membranes making it difficult for insulin to enter them) and the hormone can’t do its job and your cells become deprived of nourishment. The result? Hunger and tiredness. 2. Thirst and frequent trips to the loo Your body likes to hang on to the nutrients it receives and so it will reabsorb glucose. But when there’s too much glucose circulating around your blood (if insulin is absent or not working properly, for example), your body can’t reabsorb all of it. To get rid of the extra glucose, your body makes more urine. But for this to happen, it needs more fluid hence an increase in thirst. Drinking more means you need to urinate more, too. The glucose spills out in urine (diabetes means siphon – to pass through and the Latin word mellitus means honeyed or sweet!) 3. Dry mouth and itchy skin Because your body concentrates on trying to get rid of the excess glucose in your body through urine, there’s less fluid to go around for the rest of your body. The result can be a dry mouth and/or a strange, lingering taste. This can be due to less saliva production (saliva is your mouth’s natural cleansing system). Dry mouth can make dental problems worse so as well as seeing your GP, keeping up with visits to your dentist is vital, too. Also, because your kidneys are using so much fluid to get rid of excess glucose, there may be less fluid around to reach your skin. Dry, annoyingly itchy skin can result. 4. Blurred vision As your body battles with fluid and glucose, the fluid in your eyes can be affected. Dryness can mean that the lenses in your eyes alter in shape making focussing more difficult and leading to blurred vision. 5. Infections Millions of microorganisms live in harmony in and on your skin and that includes yeast organisms. But, if circumstances are right, yeast infections like candida and athlete’s foot can flourish and grow out of control since they love glucose and moist, warm conditions. That’s why recurrent yeast infections may be a sign of diabetes. 6. Slow healing of cuts and wounds Blood carries the nutrients and infection fighters needed to promote wound healing. But, fluctuations in blood flow caused by fluid levels can slow down wound healing. On top of this, high levels of blood glucose can affect the nerves leading to poor blood circulation. All of this makes it harder for blood to reach the wound or cut, which slows down wound healing. Diagnosing and treating type 2 diabetes is very important. Your GP can give you a quick check-up and test for diabetes. And, treatment can help you stay well and help you avoid nerve damage, heart trouble, and other complications later. http://www.startsatsixty.com.au/health/six-tell-tale-signs-you-may-have-diabetes |

Breaking news from BBC!! The Earth will experience 15 days of total darkness between November 15 and November 29, 2015. The event, according to NASA, hasn’t occurred in over 1 Million years. Astronomers from NASA have indicated that the world will remain in complete darkness starting on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 3 a.m. and will end on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 4:15 p.m. According to officials, the ” November Black Out” event will be caused by another astronomical event between Venus and Jupiter. Charles Bolden, who was appointed to head of NASA by President Obama, issued a 1000 page document explaining the event to the White House. According to the report, on October 26, 2015, Venus & Jupiter will engage in a close parallelism, only being separated by 1 degree. Venus will pass to the southwest of Jupiter, causing Venus to shine 10 times brighter than Jupiter. The light from Venus will heat up the gases on Jupiter causing a reaction. The gaseous reaction will release an unprecedented amount of Hydrogen into Space. The Hydrogen gas will make contact with Earth's sun at approximately 2:50 a.m. The amass amount of Hydrogen making contact with the sun will cause a massive explosion on the Sun’s surface. The explosions will cause the Sands surface temperature to increase to 9,000 degrees Kelvin in an instant. The sun will then attempt to cease the explosions by emitting heat from its core. The heat will cause the Sun to dim to a bluish color. Once the sun reaches the bluish color, it will take approximately 14 days to restore its normal surface temperature, returning its normal color to the Red Giant. While the sun is cooling the surface, the light from the sun will be much dimmer. Because it takes anywhere from 7 to 8 and a half minutes depending on the Earth’s rotation for light from the sun to hit Earth, people will not know the event has happened until 2:58 am on November 15th. Some areas of the world may experience brief moments of light for 7 to 8 minutes, but the Earth will then go back to complete darkness until the Sun’s surface temperature has been restored. Can this be Matt 24:29-31 coming to pass? Let us remain prayerful. https://newswatch33.com/science/nasa-confirms earth-will-experience-15 days-of-complete-darkness-in-november-2015/ |

I am in a fix, though I currently work in an organization where the salary is not bad and there are prospects for career growth. Now I ve been introduced to another organization where it was made clear that they won't be able to pay as the place I am currently working but they promised an intensive training and there major focus is to change young people's mindset and in time watch them grow. What would you advise I do? |
