Pros:

Cons:
1. Higher cost of living than Nigeria.

petrol sells for 3.64 cedis per litre, that is about 350 naira per litre.
Electricity tariff is so high that some small businesses have collapsed.
Most items are more expensive in Ghana than in Nigeria when you do the conversion from cedi to naira ( i only buy a few things in Ghana, i buy most of the items i need when i travel to Nigeria. Even my Ghanaian colleagues give me money most times when i travel to Nigeria, asking me to please buy several items for them from Nigeria). Naira has far more purchasing power!

2. Many Ghanaians do not like Nigerians because they feel Nigerians are domineering. It's like the annoyance u av for a domineering "big-ger" brother. Don't be deceived by the slow and steady xter.. it's a guile.. you can be had.
You may be loved for the money you bring, after which the love disappears.
Nigerians (both sexes) have more love from Ghanaian women than their men because we are lively and usually show a higher sense of family camaraderie.. some responsibility. Some say it's because we spend better than their men

In conclusion, seeing is believing. Nothing beats experience.

If you earn in dollars, you would find both Ghana and Nigeria quite nice to stay. If you earn in the local currency, Nigeria is more probable a better place to live.

In short, its all about the Benjamins.

Guy..I live here and I can say from experience that its messed up...the economy slowly sucks all your cash for basic living expenses and you barely get anything back. Its all hype. The power supply thing and relative safety is a plus tho but asides that, forget it.

By the way, I am interested in becoming an internet marketer...fiverr, amazon publishing and all that. Can you teach me?

If you call a man defending his culture as hogwash then you clearly need to sit down, think and ask yourself. Am I an Ibo or wherever you're from first or a westerner? And by that I mean (American, European). I'm sure you actually have an identity crisis.

I have read all the posts here and I can say I am indeed saddened by the responses of this young generation including some of mine. Especially the female folk and some kitten whipped males.

They have been so brainwashed by western media and feminist ideals that they have abandoned everything African and adopted the white mans culture as their way of life all thanks to movies, novels, music, talk shows and the likes.

There's a good reason China and Russia censor everything coming from the West. This is to forestall brainwashing and eroding of their own culture which is what is happening to stupid Africans post colonization. Go to the Middle East and see if they've not held on to their culture and values to produce strong family ties and homes.

The West calls it oppression and defines theirs as liberation. Yet what have they to show for it? Highest divorce rates in the world, emasculation of men, single parent homes, pornography, $exu@l perversion, increase in paedophiles, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy etc

All the OP said was in Yoruba tradition under which the two were married, this is what obtains. People have been ranting about what the culture takes away and all that. Our Nigerian women have been so brainwashed into thinking every aspect of the culture our forefathers built before Beyoncé was even born to sing "single ladies" is suddenly oppressive. Culture that kept the home and marriages intact. Marriages where they did not even court before ending up together yet stayed for 70 to 80 years and the man loved out grannies to death. Ask these blindly led feminist girls to pay for your date at an expensive restaurant as they do in American culture and they will shower you with abuse.
