Like I said earlier, maga fall guy man chop.

We should justify it because it is a man eat man society.

Keep that mindset when it comes to all those black yahoo boys swindling people out of their hard earned money with promises of more wealth in return.

After all, according to your logic, it’s their fault for believing in the scam.

How many people are on Facebook offering useless courses like forex trading, Some charge an arm and a leg $100 an hour for what you can easily teach yourself.
I challenged a Lagos guy one day to go live and execute a forex trade I got insults.

If your clientele can afford to pay $100 an hour, why not charge them?
A dentist can charge you $250 to extract a milk tooth,in Africa you shake the tooth and pull it out , then gargle a salty solution
.I would pay the dentist comfortably if he also taking my $100 am hour courses.

I analyze things logically.
Through the lenses of Trump worship but yea logic 🤣

All those banks didn't suddenly discover he was crooked.
or like they said, after months of investigations. But I’m sure that went over your head
New York got all his bank records and the only crime they found was pathetic to say .
Allan Wesselberg the CFO was living in a company condo and had a limousine at his service that weren't declared as benefits.
Can you imagine someone with hundreds of bank accounts and over 500 companies ,the only crime they could get was the renumeration to the CFO after going through every record of the parent company Trump Org.
Those cases are all a sham coordinated. ,I believe there's a nerve centre somewhere in DC that coordinated all that lawfare.

Letitia James used the tax assessor value of properties to determine it's worth. For instance Mar a Lago, she gave it $ 21-27 million then charged him for obtaining loans ten times that
That figure is purely brick and mortar ,sitting on 17 acres of prime Florida paradise Homes on 2 acres have been sold for far more than the value .she gave Mar a Lago. Madness.
Fodder for those easily swayed.
Why don’t they employ you to oversee the case since you have more banking experience and knowledge than the bank executives?

No black man on earth could get away with these levels of scandal and still remain in office.

WOW: Capital One told a federal judge, under oath, why it closed more than 300 Trump Organization accounts: MONTHS of internal review amid concerns about money laundering.

The bank says its anti-money laundering team, staffed by people with "decades of law enforcement experience," flagged the accounts.

This is the first time any bank has formally connected money laundering concerns to Trump's family business in writing.

The filing comes after Trump's company sued Capital One, claiming it was ‘debanked’ for political reasons tied to January 6. A judge already tossed the case twice for lack of evidence and gave the Trump Organization one more shot to prove it.

Capital One's answer: it wasn't politics. It was compliance. They say the Trump Organization got months of notice, plus extensions.

JPMorgan closed Trump's accounts too, after Jan. 6. Deutsche Bank's own compliance staff reportedly flagged suspicious transactions years earlier — and got overruled by executives.

Banks don't usually put something like this in a court filing, under oath, unless they're confident they can back it up.

While we are still on the topic, another one goes on a shooting spree in Idaho. In their usual manner.

I’m sorry for the dead and injured but a bit relieved that he’s not a black person. otherwise all of us would’ve had to answer for his crime.

Since he’s not black, he alone will be held responsible. There will be derogatory campaign against his whole race in conservative media and spaces. All parents from his race will not be chided for not raising their sons right.

If you don’t see the pattern, it’s willful at this point.

This is serious. Race really is an issue in the US. As someone who has never suffered racism, but has only suffered tribalism in this yeye Lagos during house search, it is very unfortunate that people's lives are being ruled and ruined by the colour of their skin.
And if you’re lucky you might never suffer overt racism. Because racists know how to operate now with plausible deniability.

But the reason why it’s good to know things like this is for one’s own protection. Sometimes as immigrants we crave acceptance and for people to not see us as playing the victim or the race card.

Those are all good but one has to be careful in the process of doing that to not sell themselves short or miss opportunities because they can’t recognize subtle racism and discrimination when it in their face. It’s also important to know because if one plans to raise children in America, they have to learn to stand up for themselves.

The kids have to know how to be safe out in the society when you’re not holding their hands. So many black kids are ending up dead when they’re in the company of their all-white friend groups and not one person in the group can agree that they know what happened to that black child.

It’s never meant as a way to tell anyone not to work on improving themselves. And it doesn’t mean to live in fear that everyone is after black folks. One doesn’t say that because racism exists therefore, “I won’t work hard and try to improve my life. After all, racist white people won’t let me do it”.

Far from it, the majority of people who recognize these social issues have high education, work great jobs, belong to successful communities and are flourishing in their own personal lives. But that doesn’t eliminate systemic racism and sometimes successful black people get shocked when they get caught up in it because they thought working hard and elevating themselves will make them exempt. It doesn’t.

The only reason why race relations and discrimination improves is because we keep shining a light on it and pushing back on the racists. That’s the only thing that keeps their racism sheathed. Denying it doesn’t.

Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f): 4:37pm On Aug 02
It’s propaganda my sister.

There is no race that doesn’t make poor choices. But when one black person does something bad, conservatives make it the responsibility of every black American to answer for it. The news you’re watching that tells you of what’s happening in America is run by right wing propagandists.

All the things they say black people do also occur in white communities and they watch it without the magnifying lens they put on black people. White girls shoplift like crazy at the beauty stores like Sephora and Ulta. A black kid caught doing it gets charged criminally and the white girls get let go with a warning.

White people kill each other but there’s no term known as white on white crime. The white fathers are constantly annihilating their whole families and themselves to avoid going through a divorce but we don’t even have a name that labels them all criminals.

But when a black person hurts another, it’s black on black crime and they use it to dismiss what the system does to the black community. As if black communities have to be perfect to deserve protection and justice. It’s a case of giving a dog a bad name so that whatever you do it will feel justified by bystanders.

If the justice system were really not emotional in America. A man with Trump’s criminal activity would not be president. In fact a black man with such a record would probably be locked up where the sun don’t shine.

If we’re asking why Karmelo went to a sports event with a knife, Kyle Rittenhouse went to a protest with a gun. Across state lines (a crime), and killed people. He’s free today.

There are countless instances of blatant emotional components of miscarriage of justice in America and the emotion that fuels them is the hate of black people. I could continue but I don’t want to make it too long.

It’s already long enough. lol
Ishilove:
This is a very interesting take. I have always felt that black people in the US play the victim card all the time when paying for their poor choices. I watch and read the news about a lot of these happenings in the US, and at no time have I felt that blacks and minorities are victims of systemic racism in recent times. It may have been an issue in the past, but presently there have been a lot of efforts to reduce the race disparity in different aspects of the society. In this particular case, the Karmelo individual deserves the punishment he got. I do not know the facts about the other case so I cannot come to a concrete conclusion except for what I read here.

This part in bold. You won’t believe what some friends and family back home tell me about what’s happening in America whenever we chitchat.

Me I’m like where?😩. They’re even the ones telling me what my kids’ teachers are teaching them in school 🤣

And how “godly people” are harassed in the streets to “believe in the liberal agenda“. I blame the missionaries. They’re the ones carrying the right wing narrative far and wide.

Also hindsight is 20:20, so I won’t really pretend like I don’t understand the mindset. It starts really young and gets ingrained in us from birth, church etc.

I used to argue with a former Nairalander about stuff like this, even though she had been in the US years before I even dreamed of traveling.

I was never conservative but I had that moral superiority Africans have towards African Americans (aka AKATA) and I couldn’t believe anyone was saying the truth outside of what white people said.

How does one know that they’re better than a whole group of people without ever interacting or living amongst them? Yet I and many others held tightly onto that indoctrination. Oh well. We grow and learn.

MacDaddy01:
Don't stress yourself. It is unfortunate that many Nigerians are ignorant or unexposed to racism or international politics.

Many people in Nigeria do not fully understand racism until they travel out of their country.

Secondly, right wing media is loud. Many get exposed quickly to propaganda before the truth.

Also, colonial people have been dividing black people to conquer them. They like to pit Africans against African Americans. So when racist things are happening to African Americans, the Africans won't see it as something that can happen to them also
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f): 2:26am On Aug 02
A lot of times, I’ve noticed black people in order not appear biased like to err on the side of “well the law is the law” and every punishment dished out in a court room must be fair. But We have seen how many cops lie and innocent people get locked up unless someone else comes forward with exonerating evidence.

There are so many minorities still locked up till today (for decades) due to marijuana and similar minor drug offenses. While rich white kids party had on hard drugs and own marijuana dispensaries.

You can’t objectively and logically explain away ingrained racism. The people doing the policing and sentencing are emotional in their hate and dislike for minorities. Shrugging and accepting it is not going to make them think better of non-white people.

Every single day there’s a new case of debunking lies told by police in their interactions and arrest of minorities. The judges are not exempt from the bias either. Studies have shown minorities get harsher sentences for similar offenses.

So while one may want to apply logic and emotional detachment in the understanding of justice and law enforcement in America, the enforcers are very much emotional in how they go about it.

They act scared for no reason. They shoot unprovoked. They get agitated and physically aggressive at unarmed people at the slightest sign of disrespect. These are not logical people. They are hyper negatively emotional and giving them grace won’t make anyone who’s a minority exempt.

I think the crimes are different. Involuntary manslaughter for Jason the white teen, while homicide is for Karmelo. They carry different sentences.

Emotions aside as the law is not emotional, who carries a knife to a public sports event? And what kind of "self defence" will warrant you stabbing someone in the chest in a very public area?

The law is not emotional.
Does 6 months sound like a fair amount of time for taking two lives in a deliberate speeding crime?

Speeding is a choice. And he made the choice to go that fast. One can argue that they do not deserve the same sentence. That’s a valid argument. But the difference is very ludicrous.

6 months for 2 lives and 35 years for one.

The law is not emotional but this was clearly an emotional sentencing based on the hype surrounding the case
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f): 1:22am On Aug 02
This part
Black teen kills white teen in self defense—gets 35 YEARS in prison

White adult kills two Black adults while driving 100mph in a 45—gets 6 MONTHS in jail.

This is just another example of systemic white supremacy in our criminal injustice system. A reminder that a system cannot fail those it was never meant to protect.

Bottom Line Is This.

It doesn’t actually matter if you think Karmelo Anthony acted in self defense or not.

Whatever you think of the Karmelo Anthony trial, if you think it was just, you should be calling for at minimum 2X his sentence for an adult who killed two people. But funny how those happy about the Karmelo Anthony conviction are silent on Jason Anthony Scott conviction of only 6 months for a double murder.

Also notice how media headlines mention Karmelo Anthony by name and don’t mention that he is a child, but simply label Jason Anthony Scott as a “19-year-old” and don’t mention his name. This is deliberate. This is how media further enables white supremacy.

America’s stockpile of missile defense interceptors is shrinking so much that military planners are weighing whether they can continue the current cycle of limited retaliatory strikes.

Iran’s strategy appears to be targeting U.S. bases, forcing the U.S. to deplete its advanced missile defense interceptors, such as Patriot and THAAD systems, and compelling the Pentagon to accept greater risk in defending U.S. troops as the conflict drags on. Iran appears to believe this is its best hope of outlasting the U.S. military.

my heart breaks for everyone locked up unjustly because the police lies against them and there were no witnesses at the time to help them tell their side of the story.

The rate at which video footage has been disproving the blatant lies of law enforcement agencies is mind boggling. The kind of bold lies they tell and their willingness to send people to prison or death for their lies is truly astonishing to me. No conscience whatsoever
A former Texas Department of Criminal Justice correctional officer says cellphone video recorded by his 12-year-old son contradicted a Huntsville police officer’s courtroom testimony and ultimately led to his acquittal on two felony charges.

A black man, Jafari Elisha Stewart, 39, of Huntsville, was found not guilty July 28 of assault on a peace officer and harassment of a public servant following a jury trial in Walker County. Two misdemeanor charges—resisting arrest and interference with public duties—remain pending.

According to Stewart, Huntsville Police Officer David Cross testified that Stewart grabbed him, pulled him into a wall and spat in his face. Stewart said District Attorney Phil Faseler then asked Officer Cross to step down from the witness stand and physically demonstrate how the incident occurred, and Officer Cross reenacted the events as he had described them.

Stewart said his attorney, Benjamin Jefferies, then confronted Officer Cross with cellphone video recorded by Stewart’s son during the encounter.

According to Stewart, Jefferies asked Officer Cross whether the video matched the demonstration he had just given the jury. Stewart said Officer Cross acknowledged it did not. Jefferies then pointed out, according to Stewart, that the video appeared to show Officer Cross pulling Stewart toward him rather than Stewart pulling Officer Cross into the wall.

Stewart believes the video, which he says officers did not know existed before trial, was the key evidence that resulted in the jury acquitting him on both felony charges.

Following the verdict, Jefferies wrote on social media that Stewart had faced up to 30 years in prison and alleged officers fabricated events after believing their body cameras were not functioning.

“My son saved my life,” Stewart said. “As a father, I’m supposed to be the one protecting him. Instead, he protected me.”

Stewart was arrested March 28, 2025, and charged with assault on a peace officer, harassment of a public servant, resisting arrest, failure to identify a fugitive with intent to give false information and interference with public duties.

According to Stewart, the incident began after Huntsville police responded to his apartment for a reported domestic disturbance. Stewart, a single father of three, said the original 911 caller reported hearing an adult female yelling at a small child.

Stewart disputes that account, saying he had just returned home around 10:54 p.m. after working a 16-hour shift. He said the 911 call had been placed at approximately 10:22 p.m., more than 30 minutes before he and his children arrived home.

Stewart said neighbors living below his apartment repeatedly called 911 over several months to complain about noise. He said officers responded to his apartment more than 12 times between Dec. 17, 2024, and the March 28, 2025, incident, but never attempted to enter his home.

According to Stewart, Officer David Gonzalez knocked on his door and advised police were investigating a domestic disturbance. Stewart said he explained he was a single father living with his three children and that no adult female was inside the apartment.

Stewart said Officer Cross later arrived, began banging on the door and warned Stewart that officers would enter if the door was not opened. Stewart said body-camera footage shows he was already opening the door with his left hand while holding his cellphone in his right when Officer Cross made the warning. According to Stewart, the video does not show him refusing to open the door but instead shows he was already complying while telling officers he did not consent to them entering his apartment.

Stewart said officers later claimed in reports that he invited them inside multiple times. He disputes that claim and also disputes officers’ assertions that trash and displaced furniture justified the entry, saying those items were knocked over during what he described as the forced entry.

Stewart maintained his innocence throughout the case. He said TDCJ disciplined him for off-duty conduct shortly after his arrest and that he ultimately resigned in lieu of termination in October 2025 based on the allegations against him. He also said the incident forced him to move his children to a different school.

Employment records show Stewart was hired by TDCJ in October 2023 and worked at the Wainwright Unit in Lovelady.

Requests for comment were sent to Huntsville Police Chief Darryle Slaven, City Manager Scott Swigert and members of the Huntsville City Council asking whether Officer Cross’ conduct or testimony is under investigation, but no responses were received. A separate request was sent to District Attorney Will Durham asking whether he intends to prosecute Stewart on the two remaining misdemeanor charges, but that request also went unanswered.
