mamagee3:Is he a minor? Report her to the police if he is a minor Otherwise ignore her and advise your brother properly. STDs are real and can derail his life . So can unwanted pregnancies. Especially since it seems like you guys live in the west. He can’t get to run away from his responsibilities. |

ComeToJesus:Thank you for agreeing. It’s not a complex issue. The cultural “underpinning” there is that their culture much like Nigeria’s adopted culture of female subjugation doesn’t favor women. A modern society where divorce rates are high often (not always) but often reflect female exit power. AKA women who are empowered to remove themselves from bad or potentially dangerous relationships. This is progress. Long lasting marriages whose longevity depends on divorce stigma/women’s shame of being called divorcees is not a flex. Nigeria should absolutely have higher divorce rates. So should India. Before people accuse me of wanting broken homes, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m hoping for better marriages. Not bad ones that women are told they have to stick to. |
ComeToJesus:Somehow they happen to be more brazen in societies where men dominate women. One wonders what the correlation is 🤔 https://www.reuters.com/world/india/indias-struggles-with-high-rape-cases-low-conviction-rates-2024-08-15/ |
ComeToJesus:Yet their men rape them and kill them indiscriminately. It shows there’s no benefit to being that way towards a man. He’ll still pay you back with evil. What do you men actually what? |
chidiokay:I believe that unfortunately the majority of these divorces comes from the north where men easily cast aside the children they married in order to marry more children. I’d love to be proven wrong though. The type of divorces our society needs is happening but it’s nowhere near where it should be. I mean the divorces where women aren’t staying in physically, emotionally and financially abusive relationships just because they feel too powerless and financially inadequate to leave. If we say marriage in 🇳🇬 should be limited people who don’t actively hate each other, only 25 percent of the couples will remain married. |

Thousands of residents of Gobir in Sokoto State have stormed the forests to confront bandits and rescue their abducted relations, citing the continuous failure of the security forcesSolid plan. Wondering why they haven’t done it earlier. Other states needs to follow suit |
DelilahMakinde:I know about hepatorenal syndrome. You guys just like to argue on this forum. I said more likely to cause liver failure than kidney failure. That doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to never affect the kidneys. But It’s primarily the liver and it doesn’t always have to end in kidney failure. If this man suffered from alcoholism to the point off kidney failure, he’d have long been sick from liver failure before the kidney transplant. And I don’t know what transplant laws are applicable where he is, we don’t give kidneys to patients with compromised livers. So he most likely had a healthy liver when he got his transplant. Can’t have a healthy liver with alcoholism. Hence my belief that his kidneys failed for different reasons. I didn’t say what I said so that I can be on here arguing back and forth. It was just a simple factual statement that didn’t need a rebuttal. I’m sick of y’all and y’all’s need to counter everything. Even true statements 😫 |
They’ll still blame her |
EponObi:Fake drinks as in laced with stuff that’s not alcohol? So then drugs? |
EponObi:Liver failure doesn’t always lead to kidney failure. So not knowing what happened to him, it’s irresponsible and cruel to litter the comments about alcoholism on his case. Also it’s not the other way around. Liver usually goes first. How can the kidneys go first when alcohol is primarily metabolized by the liver? Some people can develop liver disease, change their ways and their liver recovers . Then they never go on to develop kidney disease if they stay clean. I’ve taken care of so many patients in liver failure from alcohol abuse whose kidneys are still functioning okay. Not in their best condition but definitely functional whereas their liver has already failed. You just want to be right so badly so you can feel great about the judgement you’re passing on him.
|
EponObi:Drugs affect kidneys. That’s a facts. That’s why I didn’t hire the comments talking about drugs only alcohol Z But Alcohol primarily leads to liver failure. If someone develops kidney problem without preceding liver failure, it’s most likely not from alcohol. |
Amigoss:If it makes him feel better, that’s a positive. Chances are he already knows the grim reality of his situation. So he’s not seeking a new kidney from the internet But don’t discount emotional health. If it makes him feel better for one day, then so be it. |
kendrick9: kendrick9:Like I said, not everyone grieves the same way. You’re choosing to have a problem with it and that’s on you! |
BeigJawnson:True. But he would’ve been in liver failure before this. No? |
kendrick9:Maybe words of consolation will from his followers will make him feel better? I need some of you to get off the mindset that’s everything posted on the internet is for validation. What validation? Will any comment or post made in reference to his situation make it any more or less real? It’s already valid regardless of what anyone says. It’s a real situation he’s going through. No one’s post can validate or invalidate it. There’s a reason why people feel better when you commiserate with them. It’s human nature. Get off your high horse |
kendrick9:Everyone grieves differently. He’s actively grieving the possible end of his life. Maybe for you social media is a place of happiness and sharing good news or happy memories. So you can’t understand how someone would share their hard moments on the internet But for some people, they deal with stuff in the moment. They don’t feel like hiding it first then come online after some months or weeks to bring it up again and receive condolences all over again. You don’t understand it doesn’t make it wrong. Besides when is he supposed to post it? When he’s actually dead? What if he doesn’t feel like dying quietly? You can’t tell people how to deal with life changing potentially life ending trauma. |
