Thanks for the contribution.

I read up on the cause prior and also observed like you stated the social media spread of hate and bigotry that led up to this incident.

I used the wrong word “assimilate” because I really don’t expect a Muslim or Christian to dilute their faith because of where they live.

Tolerate is truly the right word and for the life of me I can’t understand why people find it so hard to tolerate people whose ways of life are different from theirs .

Especially when they are in the west where they have the freedom to be who they want to be. Why can’t they just be that thing they want and leave other people the fvck alone.

Konquest:
@Cococandy

Let me step into the convo here. You made some valid points there but let me bring in some more CLARITY to this.

First off, I'm NOT a Muslim but as a well-read and well-traveled man with a love for multicultural experiences, I can say that MOST predominant Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, Somali, North African Arab and Arabian Peninsula Muslim immigrant communities in the UK, United States, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, etc, can NEVER fully integrate because they originally come from largely traditional societies. Their children and grandchildren born in the Diaspora communities end up acquiring STRONG British, French, Spanish or American accents but they remain LARGELY moulded by the conservative Islamic ideals of their parents and grandparents. Islam is a total way of life and culture for them, so, there can be NO full assimilation. Islamic ideals and Western Judeo-Christian and secular ideals don't mix but can ONLY tolerate one another.

Second, the UK protests and subsequent arsons and lootings were most unfortunate and we're fueled by the spread of FAKE news on social media which FALSELY indicated that the 17-year-old boy who stabbed some younger kids to death in a salsa dance class is a Muslim immigrant. The identity of the boy wasn't released by the UK police because he is classified as a minor, but this fueled the rumors by right English wing groups online until things escalated into hooded White British gangs violently protesting, burning some mosques, other properties and looting stores.

It turns out down the road that the 17-year-old boy by the name Axel Rudakubana who stabbed those 3 girls to death and injured others is a British-born teen with biological parents from Rwanda and he isn't even a Muslim or from a Muslim family! The spread of FAKE news on social media by right wing elements most of whom belong to members of the "English Defence League" is largely responsible for that misinformation. I have a former high school buddy who graduated years back from a top University in London (his father is Nigerian of Yoruba descent and mother is White English) who is a member of the English Defence League as well. So, the organization is welcoming of those with mixed English ancestries like my friend, but it could also suggest with evidence now pointing to them that some members have more radical ideologies.

The UK government and police authorities have to move in very quickly to ensure that stricter social media laws are put in place to ensure that the owners of all the social media platforms monitor those who spread hate speech and disinformation. Mosques burned by the hooded mob in different cities must be rebuilt and hopefully those whose stores were looted by the hooded mob have some form of insurance cover.

In the weeks (starting in late July 2024) leading right up to the so-called August 1, 2024 economic protests in Nigeria, I noticed strong upticks online in the spread of FAKE news on social media and then after the protests, arsons, and lootings of private businesses and stores belonging to business owners occured especially in the far North of Nigeria, and these were also being fueled by highly toxic, inciting FAKE news reports and videos on social media platforms including NL which are meant to fuel these tensions. During the lead up to Presidential elections and protests such as BLM in the United States as well, these hate speeches and subsequent violent tensions are fueled LARGELY by FAKE news driven by social media. So, it's very important for all governments around the world to IMMEDIATELY crack the whip and bring the activities of these social media platforms and their owners under stricter CONTROL. If NOT done, "the 3rd World War would inevitably be triggered by online FAKE NEWS" as CLEARLY stated by the iconic Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka during a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) conference in Lagos a few years ago on the dangerous effects of fake news online.

And 20 of them will expect money? At this point I’m wondering if they’re thinking at all
MemoriesAndMe:
Have you ever traveled out of Nigeria before? If you have and you have returned to Nigeria from your trip, you'll understand the guy did the right thing.

Of all the airports I've been to around the world, Nigerian airports are the most frustrating ones. Everyone there is a beggar. Even to use the toilets there, there's someone waiting there to beg. The immigration officers I've ran into, including NDLEA officials will sometimes be up to 20, each of them demanding for money as of they don't get paid their salaries.

I'll record as many of them as possible and post them all on social media. Let them all be replaced by vibrant youths with respect for their jobs and their nation's respect.

You just can't be begging for money from every time, dick and harry because you're working at the airport. It's annoying.

Bitterkola100:
it's sickening, it's not possible for me to give you any money if you ask me at the airport no matter who you are.
I only willingly give you if i like your service.

These bastards almost made my guy missed his flight when he was going to Phillipines for study in 2017, just because they noticed his passport is virgin, come see adult crying and begging for public yet these demons were not moved, we had to involve someone at the benin city immigration service at ramat park by phone before they let the guy go.

That’s even worse because they’ll make you feel guilty for not tipping after they “helped” you.

We are unique sha. A unique set of people

Although I wanted to go alone to Morocco last year and my sister in law talked me out of it. Said it’s a million times worse there and in Egypt. Two places worse than Nigeria in hustlers hustling tourists. So maybe we’re not that bad 🤣
pocohantas:
Hahahaha! They hold on to it like courtesy. More of, let me help you unroll it. I move about with wipes, so I don't pay them any mind. Next they are pointing you to the hand-dryer. They just try to be useful as a way of softening your heart before they strike. That time you are drying you hand in preparation to pick your handbag from the slab, that is when they smile and beg.

I would have thought it is a local airport thing, but they were at the international airport. They are even more entitled there and expect larger tips.😂😂😂

Things are not always what we think they are, especially if it happened behind close doors or where no other persons can see.

As a woman, you must learn how to draw a strict boundary between you and any man that is not your husband. Men rarely get close to the women thay dont like or want, they may not have intention to sleep with them but they are always vulnerable at a slighted seduction. A woman has no business going on private meeting with a man alone behind close door, Men don't have discipline when it comes to the kind of women they want, and this type of free spirited ignorant women can turn a good man to a rapist.

No you started the dance I just met your passive aggressiveness with aggressive aggressiveness because I don’t do subtle when I feel disrespect coming in.

And no I don’t have to address what Harris said to you.
Trump said he’ll sleep with his daughter if could. He said if he’s voted in now, no more elections in America’s future. You guys still support him anyway. And I’ve not asked you to explain to me what he meant. You’re going to support who you want.

Gone are those days when you guys support literal monsters and then turn around to pick apart normal people just because we validated it and gave you the platform to ask us those questions. As if there’s any comparability between the monsters you support and the normal people you’re trying to judge.

Here’s Kamala’s campaign phone number +1 (302) 281-2630. Send them your questions and maybe an intern will get back to you.

kkins25:
She somehow says both. The problem here is the semantics she uses. Kamala does say she wants equal opportunities. However, my problem here is she also says she wants equal outcome. That was why I raised the question. She emphasizes it.

Cococandy, kindly address the point and avoid insults me, because two can tango. What does she mean by EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND EQUAL OUTCOME. At least, what do you take from that? Since you're the rational citizen, I suppose you understand how this would be implemented. Because, i also assumes it's because the plan has been explained to you in detail, and you've chosen to vote because you believe the plan is feasible.

"what does it mean,'equality of oucome'?" That was the original question I asked. I've just listened to the interview, and it's a recurring theme I've noticed in her campaigns from about a year ago.

As you answer, take into consideration the moguls contributing to saints Kamala campaign. Take a good look at that list, then wonder if Kamala isn't sitting on your back with a carrot over your head.

What they did was find tax loopholes that they used to lie and create avenues to hide money and pretend that actually made less than they did thus finding rabbit holes through which they hid their money. Trump did it too and I remember his followers asking us why we weren’t taking advantage of the same loopholes if we hated it so much knowing full well that these loopholes often exist only for the rich.
