@bold, But not every Muslim man married more than one wife. If he didn’t tell her before they signed the marriage contract that he will definitely be marrying again in the future, then he’s 100% at fault. IDC what their religion says. As long as there’s a possibility he made her believe she was going to be the only one and then switched decades later is so foul I can’t quantify it.

Yes to the rest
BRATISLAVA:
If they're Muslims then she knew it already. Every Muslim woman knows this.

Problem is his arrogance in believing he could buy her compliance, and telling the whole Twitter in a bragging manner. His logic is painful. He expected a colony of misogynists to back him up, forgetting that X is not nairaland home of the incels. Clearly he hasn't given her as much as she believes she can be bought with, and he can't meet up.

The good news for him is that like most oppressed women, like most women who want to be beaten to prove their value as good women, she will like to reconcile with him and finally accept her religion.

But I feel like even if it were remotely true, it’s not reputation damaging to need help once in a while. No one has it all. I don’t know what they hoped to achieve by sharing that. If someone occasionally needs help, does that make them a bad person?

this is only possible when you directly quote someone ..

From the screenshot, I clearly wasn't the one that quoted her .

So how did I make that happen??

Would I have quoted her and responded that way??

No ..

You guys are doing everything to bail her out even when she's still peddling ..

Ask her to provide the receipt to the school fees she paid.. that's how you know if she's being truthful or not ..
Guy I don’t know what y’all are up to on this forum so don’t ask me anything. How could you have done that? I don’t know.

Maybe that other account is yours? Maybe you are saying the truth? Maybe she’s saying the truth. Maybe maybe but I don’t really care.

I just care that it’s possible to alter someone’s post and attribute it to someone else in this manner and that’s concerning to me.

The rest of the hullabaloo is none of my business. What am I supposed to do with the information you’re posting claiming she asked for money? Is that supposed to make me judge her or what?

Okay
cococandy:
this is false. You can only edit a person's quoted comment, You cannot edit their moniker.

That part is simply untrue.

For example, I edited your comment here

If you say that person somehow got her account details and posted it as an edited post of hers, that is a different thing. But she had earlier said there was nothing like her account details on here, until her recent response to Poco where she talked about a time when her deets were here.

Anyway anywho...

He didn't clone your account. He quoted another person and changed the username to yours. When you click on the supposed comment you made, it takes you to the original comment, which wasn't by you. It is a simple, but malicious thing to do on NL.

Do you have the energy to argue with a man that believes praying or doing whatever possible to secure her marriage is ritualism? If she had done it for his promotion at work or ease his ill health will he refer to It as ritualism?

I don't believe racism towards black men exist, people didn't just wake up and decide that a black man is inferior. Go to quora and other Caucasian dominated forums and spaces. And the quality of comments you will wonder if its the same God that created naija men and western men.

1. What Jarus represents at his best moments is way more impactful than the damage he has done at his worst. How have you impacted your immediate society other than rallying fellow women to seen themselves as victims of men? Do you know what the guy has done for people including your gender?
you’re trying to get me and Jarus into a dick measuring contest? Tell us what’s so special he did that gives him a pass to be a violent abuser? Only a brainless doofus like you will see someone advocating for women as encouraging them to be victims. That’s why no one takes y’all seriously. You don’t understand the concept of anything that’s outside of your egotistical bubble.

And oh my what good little fan boy you are. Someone told me no one worships “rich men” more than internet bros and it’s so disgusting to see.

2. A ritualist is 100x worse than someone who hit a woman. This is why it is easy for me to ignore the DV part.
just because you termed it ritual doesn’t make it so. And even it were a ritual, your religion has its own rituals too. Don’t switch up now. live and let live
3. If he were your Son or brother, would you honestly be happy with that woman? Which would bother you more, the fact he gave her a few slaps or the fact she has a shrine in her house?
anyone my kids marry can practice whatever religion they wish to practice. I’m not as deluded as some of you

4. Yes she is entitled to her religion but that was not the agreement at the time of marriage. He would not have wifed her if he knew she is a diabolically inclined person. I’m not against her religion, but I am aggressively against her practicing it deceitfully.
touché. Hopefully next time you run face first into the point, you’ll get it that time

5. How would you react if you discover that your own husband is giving spiritualists your personal info?
if I chose to break his heart by marrying another man while still married to him? Then it’s fair.

6. If your husband were to decide to marry again, would u recourse to ritualists?
no. Simply because I don’t believe they have any power. I believe in physical power and that’s how I’d solve any problems that require physical solution. If I believed there’s any power in all those supernatural stuff and I feel threatened, then I’ll use it to defend myself. She did what she thought was her best defense.

Notice how i’m trying to personalize this so that i can help you view this without the lens of gender. To you, it’s a random monicker or male but to someone else, it’s their friend/brother/son
You really thought you did something there 😏

The woman fell from the sky. No one loves her. She’s no one’s friend/sister/daughter.

But who am I kidding? Most of you lack the ability to see women as humans. That’s why you are so detached in supporting hurt and violence against women
Family › Re: Popular Nairalander Sir Jarus Admits To Domestic Violence On Twitter by cococandy(f): 2:03pm On Jun 29, 2024
You can’t be serious
Iamblessed85:
DV is wrong but a victim is not an angel either. Question is, what did she do to provoke such a peace loving guy into violence? Can you imagine how it made Jarus feel to have to go to such extent? I think he is even the real victim here. ?

Lastly, if Jarus were your brother or son, wouldn’t you be happy that the evil woman has been exposed before you reprimand him for hitting her?
Family › Re: Popular Nairalander Sir Jarus Admits To Domestic Violence On Twitter by cococandy(f):
No. slavery hasn’t been outlawed by Christianity.

Slavery was outlawed by the secular state. The government which is separate from the church outlawed slavery . It wasn’t done on a religious basis.

Bigamy which is the act of marrying more than one wife is also outlawed by the secular state but people like you make excuses for Muslims who practice an illegal act simply because their religion permits it. As if their religion comes above the law of the land. But Christian religion doesn’t.

What you’re saying is the same as when someone reads the law against owning slaves and then turns around to say they support a Christian doing it because their religion permits it.

You really don’t have an argument.

We made a law but chose to exclude Muslims because we’re afraid they’ll rise up in violence

But the law against slavery will pertain to Christians because obviously people like you only support Muslims right to choose. Lol
Gerrard59:
I do not support slavery in any form neither based on religion because in Christianity, my religion, it has been outlawed. By whom? Christians. Muslims should do whatever they want in Islam. It is their religion. I respect their right to do what they want provided it is legal in the country. In the country's constitution, it is permissible to marry more than one wife as a Muslim. In fact, in parts of Delta where Christianity is the dominant religion, three wives are permissible. Marrying another wife is not a criminal offence.

I have outlined solutions to the main issue. Korean women are doing theirs. Nigerian women or American women did not tell them what they to do. Muslim women should do what they want. They have the right to choose, just as their men. I will always support people's legal choices. I don't have to like you, but I will support your right to choose.

Family › Re: Popular Nairalander Sir Jarus Admits To Domestic Violence On Twitter by cococandy(f): 1:46pm On Jun 29, 2024
Gerrard59:
Again, Ms Coco, that is the business of Muslims. I am not a Muslim neither are you one. Muslims who wants to change/reform Islam are free to do so. Non-Muslims who want to the same should convert to Islam. Reformists within Christianity reformed Christianity. Muslim reformers should do so, not outsiders.
Obviously it’s their business
But I’m referring to your post of supporting what people do if their religion permits it. Would you support a Christian slave owner? Clearly Christianity permits it.

Why are you cherry picking which religion you’ll support?

I am not defending him because I like him. I am defending his right to do what his religion supports. I don't have to like Islam or any Muslim, but I will support your right to do what is legally permissible by your religion.
Will you support slavery because the Bible allows it? Even to the point of saying the servants should submit to cruel masters because God commands it. I mean it’s clearly outlined in different versions.

Do we not practice religion anymore with a heart and conscience rather than hurting other people because a man from many centuries ago told us that’s what God told him?
