Babanla magic ear.

In decades and centuries to come, books, documentaries and movies will be made about these magical events and much will be revealed with time.

I never trusted that event for one second.
Because you have discernment.

I knew she was lying. Na Coco wey too dey pity people you go tell this one.

Truly the govt needs to step in because I don't understand why anyone would want to trend with an illness or something negative.
These yeye people that do silly stuff like this surely want humans to stop valuing and empathizing with each other.

That has to be their reasoning.

Otherwise, why would she even orchestrate such an insane plot

unfortunately nigerians have taken social media to an even crazier place

the govt will have to step in because it is already out of hand
This makes no sense at all.

Why would she even do that?

My condolences. May you find strength to bear the loss

Roland17:
The past month has been an incredibly difficult period for me and my family. Nigeria happened to a beloved and close member of the family and this one hit really hard.

I am still struggling to reconcile the harsh reality that she is gone. Imagine speaking over the phone with someone one day after something that brought extreme joy to the entire family and 2 days later the person is gone. The entire family is devasted and the pain no be here.

A very big thanks to everyone who reached out, I no fit mention everybody, including those who left mentions on the forum, I am really grateful. Once again, death puts a lot of things in perspective for me. Life is too short, do the best you can and find happiness in little things.

That was going to be my next line of thought.

In addition to looking like he’s 12 years old, which is already a big ick on its own, how’s the disability not a red flag to them that this is illegal?

How can they not know it is unlawful to contract a marriage for such a person?

They should call her his caregiver, that is what he needs alongside treatment. Not a spouse.
Exactly. I don’t know why they even advertised a wife position for him. When they should’ve just paid for a caregiver indefinitely like they’re promising to the pay the wife.

Unless they don’t intend to pay after a while. I don’t trust these weird arrangements.

This part. As a bonafide born and raised in Nigeria, I don’t even feel confident yapping on and on about the current politicians and their policies. Basilica wants to lay behind his keyboard and tell me what’s going on in my Californian neighborhood. Same as Ono. Just a set of ridiculous people.

I know I dislike the effect of tinubu’s policies but I can’t confidently outline each of them and say specifically what it is about them I dislike since I’m not that conversant with the details.

I’d feel stupid going back and forth with someone about their lived experience.
IjeBos:
So, how can you tell me? Did you march with MLK? Do you understand the history of the African American civil rights movement? Do you have an understanding in what helped bring about the success of the civil rights movement? Have you been in a movement which changed social/governmental policy and led to legal equality of anyone?
Again, tell me what experience or expertise you relied on in saying any of this?

Yes, and of course you can’t really know something without experiencing it. That logic is drivel for uneducated minds who like to speak about things they have no experience in.
You know infinitely less about the US than I know about Nigeria. Though I am a Nigerian citizen and spend considerable time there, I don't even feel comfortable offering political opinions on Nigeria.
You know little about the US. Acknowledge that and maybe true learning/understanding can begin.

We’re seriously under reacting

Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f):
Amusing to watch the people who fought so hard to foist this evil of Trump on us now backtracking after it’s already too late.

Tucker Carlson
Israel somehow is in control of the course of this war, and they have been since the beginning.

We learned this week, for example, that the decision to go into this war and to kill the Ayatollah in the opening hours of this war was made on the basis of intelligence supplied to the U.S. Government by Mossad, the Israeli intelligence, not from the CIA. The CIA, which no one wants to defend, but in this specific case sounds like it was a voice for restraint. That's why we have intel agencies: so they can advise the president about what to do next on the basis of the best available information. That's the idea anyway. And apparently the CIA was telling the White House, “No, you can kill the head of Shia Islam, but that probably won't topple the government, and there probably won't be in the aftermath of that killing this spontaneous creation of a liberal democracy in southwest Asia. Probably not going to happen.”

But Mossad had another scenario. They believed, or said they believed, that knocking off the religious leadership—the head of the snake in this theocracy—would result in spontaneous regime change, and we wouldn't have to really get involved beyond just the initial bombing campaign. That's very appealing to Americans who fought wars from the air for a long time. And at this point, pretty much the only thing that the American public will accept: a low risk, very expensive, but low risk operation that doesn't take very long, where you achieve your objectives by killing the right people with bombs.

But nobody in the United States, well, almost nobody, has any great desire to send U.S. troops. In fact, in June, when the government of Israel and its many paid spokesmen in the United States were pushing for what became the 12-day war, we're just gonna take out the nuclear sites, there were people who said, “No, that's not what this is. This is a regime change effort. And if pursued, it will wind up with boots on the ground, with the commitment of American troops. And once that happens, it's kind of hard to see how to extricate them. And a lot of them could get killed.” And anyone who said that at the time was denounced as crazy, a conspiracy theorist, a grifter.

Nine months later, that's exactly where we are today.

The head of Mossad, a smart seasoned guy, said that he believes, apparently said this, that he believed regime change in Iran, which is apparently another state goal, will require at least a year to change the regime in Iran. So that right there is Israel saying we're going to need the commitment of American troops. Americans are going to have to go there.

And surprise, surprise, Americans are going there.
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by cococandy(f):
As usual. Send American kids to die for Isreal’s ambition while their children get to stay in their country benefiting from universal healthcare that we pay for.

Same healthcare we tell our constituents “ it is socialism, therefore, it is evil”.

Israel will not commit troops if the United States launches a ground operation inside Iran. This reflects a calculated division of roles: Israel continues to operate through airstrikes and intelligence, while avoiding the highest-risk component—boots on the ground inside hostile territory.

The imbalance is operational. Ground war in Iran carries extreme risk—casualties, entrapment, and prolonged occupation pressure. By stepping back from this phase, Israel limits its exposure while still benefiting from pressure applied on Iran. The United States, however, absorbs the direct burden: manpower, logistics, and escalation management.

The criticism applies to both sides. Israel’s approach prioritizes strategic gain without proportional risk-sharing, reinforcing a pattern of indirect engagement. At the same time, the United States appears willing to escalate into a high-cost ground scenario despite unclear end-state conditions, repeating a model of entering complex conflicts without defined exit pathways.

The implication is structural strain. Unequal burden-sharing weakens alliance coherence, while escalation without clarity increases long-term instability. In a conflict already shaped by the Iran war, such dynamics do not resolve tensions—they redistribute risk while expanding it.

This!!

There’s active dissonance required in order to practice ANY religion and I say this as a born Christian who still practices Christianity (for my own personal reasons).

But it requires some self awareness to even admit it.
There’s no way you’re reading parts of the Bible that you can clearly see makes for serious WTF moments, rationalize it and then tell yourself you are not being dissonant. Please 🙄🙄

Same with Islam and all the other religions.
budaatum:
This is very gracious of you.

Most religious people have evolved from literal readings of their religious books, is what I've found, and even need a form of dissonance from some of it to remain religious or the majority would have thrown the books out with their dirty water.

I'd be calling for the death of even their imaginary gods myself if they hadn't evolved, and I wish they'd evolve much quicker where the word "believe" is concerned.

A 100–0 vote and somehow it’s still the other side’s fault. That’s exactly why people are so fed up right now. At some point, both sides agree to fix a problem, but the messaging afterward by republicans turns into finger-pointing instead of accountability.

It is obvious that they care less about solutions and more about controlling the narrative. If everyone agreed, then own it. That’s what people actually want, less spin, more honesty. They can’t be honest to save their own lives. Compulsive compunctionless liars.

You are a clown.

Trump and Bessent last week lifted sanctions on Iranian Oil.......something that has not been done by any President since 1996 and furthermore in 2012.

These sanctions are set to earn Iran over $14bn dollars, which will now go into the development of more hypersonic missiles which the US has no defence against.

Hehehe. A departure from handing them money 🤑

Republicans genuinely believe their followers are steupid, that’s why they’re do stuff like this. They say something different to them in public but when it’s time to actually act, they’ll do the opposite of what they claim they want. And then call them dvm to their faces without losing votes.
