Yea but do they sell the ones 90% of Nigerians in abroad eat? I know Samsclub does but Walmart? Perhaps the ones in Atlanta just don't have it, either way Basmati, really? ***Looking at you funny***
Walmart owns samsclub . They carry mostly the same products.

Work on your taste buds . Basmati is beautiful rice.

Cool cool
Dyt:
Sure
I use black eyed beans for mine

When I tell people
They hardly believe
Mariangeles:
Brown beans is best for it, especially honey beans.
If don't have any problem with sugar, add a little amount to it. That's what sets it apart from ordinary cooked beans, coupled with the pepper sauce.
It's best eaten with soft bread or fried plantain.

Yes I love basmati rice. Very very much. kiss

Walmart does sell parboiled rice too in case you’ve never been there. And since Costco is out, they are naturally my next choice because of their big size and likelihood of having supply.
Health › Re: Coronavirus: What Is The Fate Of Nigerians Abroad? by cococandy(f): 5:06pm On Mar 13, 2020
I went to buy rice . Even Walmart is out of rice.
Costco is out of toilet paper and all the stores even online are out of cleaning solutions and sanitizers.
As of today, All major activities closed and schools closed. But healthcare workers must go to work unless they are sick or have symptoms.
All we need is zombies and the apocalypse will be complete.

Thank you smiley

Even Mari has shared the recipe with me before. I’ll make it soon. Soon.......... grin

Can I make it with brown beans?

Dyt:
Not so hard
Just mash the beans when it's soft

Then the pepper
Fry it with palm oil till it turns **blackish** not burnt cos you won't like the taste

I use oil for mine but still comes out like it's palm oil
And that's not plantain it's fried banana

Btw
They said someone stole pictures
It's aproko that carried me reach here

I’m feeling this lunch.

If you use a pressure pot to cook your beans, it cooks in less than 20 minutes and doesn’t get sticky. That’s how I like beans for regular stew.

I keep planning to make ewa goin (hope I spelled that right) but liver dey cut me. Never tried it but it looks like something I’d love to eat.

Usually not one of my top choices

It works for me atleast.
cook your egusi separately, fry the ogbono separately and add to the egusi and meat stock. I used onugbu in place of ugu.

Small to test it out. If I like it, I’ll let you know.

Abeg stay safe and stay away from those tempting Italian restaurants for now. Keep posting from your kitchen. grin
I haven’t been to an Italian restaurant recently. And that was next on our to-go list since we are sampling whatever piques our interest.

I’ll just stay away from the Italians for now.

I had some Indian few days ago. It was sublime.
Indian food is second only to Nigerian food.
With Chinese in third place.

Maybe it’s because of nurture but Nigerian food has been the winner in my opinion

First pic: Ogbono and Egusi mixed together
Second pic: Okro soup
Does this combination work?

I have some ogbono that I’m about to throw away because I don’t like ogbono by itself.

We’ve been doing some kind of mini food festival.
But at this point, it’s back to the kitchen henceforth. (Especially because of corona)
Let me go and clean my pots.

1) burgers and fries with a cocktail.
2) shrimp curry with coconut rice (the yummiest).
3) eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon and hollandaise sauce.
4) char broiled steak on coleslaw.

He’s not ready to treat the child she had with another man as his own flesh and blood.

Isn’t that the very easy expectation y’all have when it comes to step moms?
Family › Re: My Husband Doesn’t Want My Son To Come And Stay With Us by cococandy(f): 5:48pm On Mar 12, 2020
OP if not that you guys already have kids together I’d tell to divorce that man. It might be too much for your kids.

However in all honestly (unless he has a change of heart) you’re better honestly of without that man. How you want to achieve that is up to you.

I better be dead and rotten before a man comes between me and my child.
Family › Re: My Husband Doesn’t Want My Son To Come And Stay With Us by cococandy(f): 5:43pm On Mar 12, 2020
Oh really?

The man is not a jezebel in this case?

Una hypocrisy study for havard. I salute you.

Davash222:
Your siblings that are your relatives doesn't want the boy but you want your husband that is not your relative to accept the boyhuh
You should learn to attend to your responsibilities and mistakes. Don't drag your mistakes to that innocent man. He has done more than enough for you.

Marrying a Nigerian girl with two children(not even one) is not what every man can do. That man deserves peace and respect from you.
