Dr Kema Onu, a reproductive health expert, has warned that the practice of MouthAction increases the risk of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). Onu, who is the Site Coordinator of Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF), an international NGO, gave the warning in an interview in Abuja on Friday. According to him, MouthAction is when someone puts his or her lips, mouth or tongue on a man’s penis, a woman’s genitals, including the clitoris, vulva or the anus of another person.

Onu said most STIs, including chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis could be spread through MouthAction. “Herpes is a common STI, which can result to ulcer in the anus; that is why MouthAction is not always accepted. “An individual could transmit what is in the anus down to the mouth and result to oral herpes,’’ Onu said. However, he explained that the chances of giving or getting STIs during MouthAction could be lowered by using a condom.

Onu pointed out that the human body was filled with billions of micro organisms with different bacteria resident in various parts of the body. “The bacteria in the mouth is different from the ones in the ear or any part of the body. “The ones in the mouth is called commensals, they naturally live in the mouth. If in any case the bacteria in the mouth finds its way to another part of the body it becomes pathogenic and affects one,’’ he explained. Onu said that diagnosis of STIs was very difficult, as they evaded the immune system and would only be noticed after they have caused damage to the system.

“STIs have mechanisms for invading our natural immune system yet some of them do not have vaccines,’’ he said. Besides, Onu explained that most STIs were treatable while some have no cure, such as herpes, genital warts and HIV. The coordinator said that many STIs could lead to related conditions such as pelvic inflammatory disease, cervical cancer and complications in pregnancy as well as socio-economic consequences.

He said the treatment of most infected women with such infections would drastically reduce the chances of transmission in the environment. “The most common of the infection is syphilis; women have a higher chance of contracting STIs from men than from women to the men. “Every woman experiences a vagina discharge but it is important to know if the discharge is normal or abnormal.

“When a woman begins to experience a foul smell in her discharge, itching, watering in texture that one have to use a pad, such is abnormal. “However, normal discharge is white while an abnormal is pinkish, yellowish or greenish in colour,’’ he said. The coordinator, however, said that early diagnosis, curative or suppressive therapy and promotion of safer sexual behaviour were some measures to prevent transmission.

For decades, Sweden has offered a safe haven to people who have fled from military conflict but as the current refugee crisis hits an unprecedented scale, the question arises, how much longer can the country continue to offer hospitality?
Sweden is currently experiencing an ever deepening housing crisis. It is believed that to accommodate everyone in need of a place to live by 2020, the country would need to build the equivalent of “another Stockholm”. For now, refugees from Syria, other Middle Eastern countries and Africa are being housed temporarily in tents, on boats and even in a Wild West amusement park.
RT Doc’s correspondent, Marina Kosareva visits the High Chaparral theme park. Every summer it welcomes thousands of tourists but during the winter off-season, it is being used to provide temporary accommodation for some of the many refugees in need. Here, the government strives to create the best possible condition, including food and Wi-Fi, as well as organising a school for the children. But they’ll all have to go before the tourists return.
Meanwhile, the waiting time to process applications for refugee status keeps getting longer because of ever increasing numbers and can now take over a year. Applications though can be, and often are, refused, there have been many cases of immigrants being deported.
The situation is aggravated by crimes being committed by a minority of war refugees who now live in Sweden. Such crimes are often underreported and that has undermined Swedish trust in government policy and lead to a growing sense of unease about immigrants in general.
Some feel that Sweden changes its own character just to appease people of a different culture causing concerns that the country will lose its identity in pursuit of multiculturalism. In the most extreme cases, Swedish nationalists have been known to attack refugee camps. +
While the current High Chaparral residents simply try to forget the horrors of war while adjusting to a new lifestyle in snowy Sweden, the sheer scale of the problem puts the host country under pressure while testing its famous hospitality to the limit.

He may be the founder of Ikea. But frugal billionaire Ingvar Kamprad has revealed he buys his clothes at flea markets to save money, in a documentary being broadcast on Swedish television

Kamprad, who turns 90 on March 30th, already has a reputation for penny-pinching, which he claims helped Ikea to become one of the world's top brand names.

“I don't think I'm wearing anything that wasn't bought at a flea market. It means that I want to set a good example,” he told Swedish channel TV4, according to business daily Dagens Industri which viewed the documentary ahead of its release on Wednesday evening.

“It's in the nature of Småland to be thrifty,” he said, referring to Sweden's south-eastern agricultural region where he comes from and where he first started his now global furniture empire.

Kamprad is estimated to have an accumulated fortune of about 610 billion kronor ($72 billion), according to recent Swedish media reports. But it is difficult to separate what belongs to him, his children and what is held in a family foundation in one of Europe's most infamous tax havens, Liechtenstein.

In 2006, the American business magazine Forbes listed him as the fourth richest person in the world. However, he dropped off the list this year,with his sons instead claiming the 1,694th spot.

Kamprad's modest spending habits have made headlines over the years. In 2008, he told newspaper Sydsvenskan that a 22-euro bill in the Netherlands had broken his barbering budget.

Normally, I try to get my haircut when I'm in a developing country. Last time it was in Vietnam,” he explained at the time.

In 1973, Kamprad fled Sweden's higher tax structure for Denmark, before seeking even lower taxes in Switzerland.

From 2010 onward, he progressively retired from the family company to make way for his three sons, finally returning to live in Sweden in 2014.

Barnevernet has been under fire from the international community for years, accused of targeting immigrant families for child removal due to cultural misunderstanding and prejudice. A website called StopBarnevernet profiles dozens of stories of children being taken from families who immigrated from Lithuania, Brazil, Czech Republic, United States, Slovakia, Russia, India, Turkey, Sweden, and Iraq. Families who have had their children taken by Barnevernet also connect on a Facebook page called “Norway, give us back the children you stole.”

The Anti Juvenile Justice Agency (AJJA) is a European information agency that reports on the dangers of countries defining “juvenile justice” apart from the nuclear family.

“The main dilemma [in modern democratic states] is how to provide for and protect children without intruding on the parents’ rights of privacy and their right to a family life of their own choosing,” AJJA reported.

The Bodnariu’s story went viral via social media and church networking. Friends and family organized a variety of campaigns, from emailing Norwegian government officials to street protests. Mass demonstrations drawing tens of thousands have been held in over a dozen countries, with more planned through the end of the month. Cristian Ionescu started an online international petition on the family’s behalf. It had over 56,000 signatures as of today.

A delegation of 11 Romanian officials met with Barnevernet officials Wednesday to advocate for the release of the Bodnariu’s children, reported NRK, a Norwegian broadcasting company. But so far, the children remain in the custody of Barnevernet.

Thomas Sutherland posted on StopBarnevernet that he was a victim of the agency when he was a child. Now an adult and living in England, he stated he recently started therapy to deal with his childhood trauma and discovered he wasn’t alone in his experience.

“I would love to help in this cause, and I wonder if my story could help in this battle [to] ensure other families do not have to go through the same thing,” Sutherland wrote. “I know from first hand experience how most children feel [due to that] proposition: unwanted, confused and alone.”

On Nov. 16, the Norwegian child welfare agency, called Barnevernet, removed the Bodnariu’s two daughters from school without their parents’ knowledge. Later that day, police arrived at the Bodnarius’ home and removed two of their three sons, leaving the 3-month-old baby with Ruth. Marius rushed home from work, and he and Ruth went to the police station to find out what was going on, but received no answers. The next day, police came again to the home and removed the baby, claiming Ruth’s display of tears at the police station the day before posed a danger to the child, according to a relative, Cristian Ionescu.

Two days later, Barnevernet officials informed the couple the children were “integrating well” into two separate foster homes. The Bodnarius were accused of “Christian radicalism and indoctrination.” One of the officials allegedly said to Ruth, “The kids don't even miss you. What kind of parents are you?” ChurchMilitant.com reported.

On Dec. 2, Daniel Bodnariu posted on Facebook the couple had finally received documents detailing what led up to the removal of their children. The investigation started when the principal where the girls attend school notified Barnevernet she had concerns about how the girls were disciplined at home because the parents were “very Christian,” as was the extended family. She said the family had “a strong faith that God punishes sin” that “creates disability in children.” The principal noted although the girls were creative, intelligent, and showed no signs of physical abuse, she believed the parents needed “help and guidance” in raising their children.

Barnevernet workers interrogated the girls at school regarding their home life. The girls reported they sometimes hid things from their parents for fear of being punished by getting an ear pulled or slapped across the behind or upside the head, but neither was afraid to go home.

One of the girls gave an example that the baby reached out and took Marius’ glasses off, whereupon he shook the baby “as a rag.” But Marius reports the story differently: He leaned over the baby and was thrilled when, for the first time, the baby reached out for him, so he took him in his arms and bounced him.

“Children can see things differently, and sometimes misinterpret some of our actions, or certain events,” Daniel Bodnariu wrote. “You can easily manipulate a child to say something that is not true. The law in Norway gives almost total credibility to the child and none to the parent. Some situations are seen differently by children [and] it seems a monstrosity to exploit this to the detriment of the family.”

The documents also revealed the baby received X-rays and a CT scan that showed no signs of abuse. In a follow up interrogation, the daughter reiterated Marius shook the baby, but then said, “I am tired. I don’t know what else to make up.”

When Marius and Ruth Bodnariu sent their daughters off to school one day last fall, they had no idea they would not come home. And they certainly never imagined their three sons would also be gone before the next sundown—all five children seized by the Norwegian government because of their parents’ Christian beliefs.

Tens of thousands of citizens across the globe have joined in protesting the Norwegian Child Welfare Agency’s seizure of the children after a school principal reported their parents for “indoctrinating” their children.

The Bodnariu family lives in Naustdal, Norway, where Marius works as an IT engineer for the mayor’s office and Ruth is a nurse at the local hospital. Marius is Romanian and first met Ruth, who is Norwegian, when they both served at Open Doors Foundation, a Romanian Christian charity that serves disadvantaged children and families. They were married and became members of the Philadelphia Pentecostal Church in Bucharest. The couple eventually moved to Norway to raise their children in Ruth’s hometown. But their idyllic village life turned into a nightmare last November, according to a Facebook post written by Marius’ brother, Daniel Bodnariu.

A 48-year-old man from the Jutland town of Randers was found guilty on Friday of running two websites that encouraged users to sexually abuse children and then share videos and photos of the attacks.

The man was charged with playing a key role in administrating two websites, ‘Hoarders Hell’ and ‘The Love Zone’, that catered for paedophiles from around the world.

When he was arrested in 2014, the Danish National Police (Rigspolitiet) said that the 48-year-old was likely one of the most active Danish paedophiles on the internet. Investigators determined that he was responsible for uploading 3,696 photos and 116 videos of child pornography.

“It means that one must attack children themselves. It becomes some sort of currency that one carries out attacks and delivers the material,” Kjærside told broadcaster DR in October when the trial got underway.

The Randers Court gave the man a six-year prison sentence on Friday despite prosecutors pushing for him to be locked up indefinitely, a sentence that was handed down to another paedophile last month.

Berlin doctor 'recruited mentally-ill man for Isis'
German police on Thursday arrested a doctor suspected of having recruited a man of limited mental capacity to fight for the Islamic State organisation in Iraq.

Investigators accused the 33-year-old German doctor of brainwashing the 24-year-old man with jihadist videos and later paying for his one-way ticket to Syria and Iraq.
The younger man, also a German national, subsequently blew himself up in northern Iraqi city Baiji, killing at least 12 Iraqi soldiers, said prosecutors in a statement.
"Findings by investigators showed that the suicide bomber was mentally restricted and easily influenced and had therefore been assigned a carer," prosecutors said.
"Whether the attacker was deliberately singled out by the accused because of his mental deficiency is the subject of further investigations," they added.
The Berlin arrest came during raids of four apartments in the German capital and the southwestern city of Mannheim, where police seized an optical device for a firearm, documents, mobile phones and electronic data storage devices.
Thousands of Europeans have travelled to Syria to fight for the IS group, and concern is growing over the threat these jihadists pose on home soil when they return home.

A group of women at an emergency shelter in Cologne have accused the security personnel there of spying on them naked and even trying to blackmail them into sex.

“The sports hall is no emergency shelter for us - it’s a prison,” the refugees said in an open letter to the city seen by the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.

Around 200 people are currently being housed in the sports hall at the Georg-Simon-Ohm College.

Asylum seekers complain that beds lie next to one another without screens to provide privacy, that there is rubbish strewn across the hallway, and that there are only six toilets and two showers which aren't divided by sex.

The women meanwhile accuse employees at the security firm which runs the emergency shelter of filming or photographing them while they shower or while they breastfeed.

The security personnel ambush the women and try and convince them to have sex with them, the letter claims.

One young Syrian woman, who has been living in the sports hall for slightly more than a month, told the Kölnische Stadt Anzeiger “one asked me if I’d go with him, saying he wanted to be alone with me. When I told him I was taken and I wasn’t interested, he told me I’d soon be kicked out.”

The woman was one of around 70 asylum seekers who showed up in front of the Office for Migration and Refugees to hand in two letters of complaint.

One of the letters demanded that their asylum applications be processed more quickly and an improvement in their living conditions.

The other was from sent only from the women, and complained about “the sexual abuse and harassment from the security personnel” calling for their replacement.

Police who were at the scene of the refugees’ demonstration said that they had to make complaints in order for them to be able to investigate.

A representative from the security company Adlerwache , which controls the hall, defended his employees against the accusations.
“I am outraged by the accusations. I am certain that they are completely unfounded,” Bernhard Deschamps told the Kölner Stadt Anzeiger.

Ulrich Prößl from the Cologne Refugee Council said that “it would be a catastrophe if the accusations turn out to be true”.

He called for shelters to appoint an independent person to take inhabitants' complaints, saying that “otherwise no one knows what’s going on in there.”
