PhonesSee How Much It Took Apple To Make The $799 Iphone 8 Plus by CodecJay(op):
The new Apple iPhone 8 Plus is the most talked about phone in the smartphone market right now.

While Apple customers are still trying to decide whether to buy the iPhone 8/8 plus now or wait until November 3rd for the sales of iPhone X to start, It might interest you to know what it actually cost Apple to put together one single unit of the device and then; don’t get shocked when you compare it to how much it’s been sold right now.

IHS Markit, a world-class analytic company after their annual teardown on iPhone production cost stated that the Bill Of Manufacture cost for the device which comes with 64GB of NAND flash memory costs only $288.08 to make.

In comparison, the cost to make iPhone 8 Plus is $9.57 higher than the iPhone 7 Plus as of the time of its release.

Meanwhile, the Bill of Manufacture cost will make you want to jump out of your skin after finding out that the $288.08 is not even up to half the money you will be paying for the phone.

One would have thought, with the features iPhone comes with that the BOM would have been higher than $288. Am I the only person thinking that the profit margin Apple wanted for this phone is quit too much?

While this explains the reason why Apple’s iPhones have always been so expensive more than any other phone on planet earth. We understand Apple still needs to cover enough profit so as to remain the best in the smartphone industry and maybe cover what it took them to get their new fancy HQ up and running.

Let’s move away from iPhone 8 Plus a little bit.

IHS Markit, also stated that the iPhone 8’s BOM is 247.51, and it’s $9.57 higher than the iPhone 7 as of the time of its release.

IHS claimed that the higher cost of the BOM cost for the iPhone 8 plus can be tied to the slower annual component cost erosion tied to its additional features which include the increased NAND flash memory content, the new wireless charging components and the back glass.

After the Nigerian civil war. The government had problems rebuilding the country because of its depleted finance spent on the war.

I know nothing about warfare but one thing I know is that to finance one costs a lot of money and even more money later on when you are fighting against your own people inside your own country.

You have to buy a lot of weapons, armored tanks, planes and helicopters and their specs should be at least more than the stuff inside your enemy’s arsenal. You also have to pay your soldiers.

The Nigerian Government spent most of the country’s money financing a war against the Biafrans and when it was time to rebuild, the country was in a very tight corner financially. So people’s suffering continued even with the international aids.

The most affected people were the Biafrans. With most of their homes destroyed and the intense starvation which followed them from the war to the post-war period, life was so miserable for them.

The civil war, till date is the most catastrophic events ever in the history of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, somewhere within the part of the country that ones had the name Biafra. Mr. Chinedu Akubuko, who was a teacher before the war, then fought for a while on the Biafran side before he was injured by an explosion that sent a shrapnel right into his skull. He managed to survive the war.

He was driving his old, rickety, brown colored Volkswagen A.K.A the beetle from Enugu to Imo state after a failed interview in a company in Enugu.

While driving along the lonely road, he was thinking about what will become of his life now, it was quite evident that frustration has gripped this young man.

Suddenly, he started feeling pressed. Whenever such unplanned situations occur here, the normal thing was to stop the car, look for a suitable place inside the nearby bush and set the whole thing free there but in Chinedu’s case he couldn’t stop because the car because of fear for bandits so he decided to hold onto the poop until he gets to a military checkpoint or somewhere safe.

Image result for black man taking a poop meme

At a time, the muscle around his asshole couldn’t hold onto the poop any longer. He was sweating profusely, feeling so uncomfortable and the thing was affecting his driving. He involuntarily stopped the car, jumped out and headed right into the nearby bush not minding the danger of being robbed.

After dropping two to three rods, he noticed the presence of some people few meters away from him. He stood up to take a look but ducked low when he found out they were soldiers still putting on the defeated Biafran military uniform. They had bags with them filled with something.

Chinedu watched them dig a spot there and buried the bags.

When they left, he waited for some time, then he came closer slowly, unearthed the bags, they were 8 in number. He opened one and it was filled to the brim with Nigerian currency notes.

He took the bags he could carry with his two hands, rushed to his car, stacked them inside his trunk, then reversed his car nearer to the spot and moved the rest of the bags into his car.

He drove off quickly and that was how frustrated Chinedu turned a millionaire. He had the money to take himself to a real hospital where the shrapnel that was still in his skull was tended to properly.

He finally got married and gave birth to six intelligent and smart kids. I was so lucky one of them became my very good friend.

Mr. Chinedu died a rich, happy and fulfilled man on January 2017, just because he respected the call of nature and took a poop at the right time not minding the danger that might be lurking around.

PoliticsThe Real Problem With Nigeria And How It Can Be Solved [must Read] by CodecJay(op): 9:24pm On Aug 10, 2017
Come to think of it. The problem with this country is inside each and every one of us.

It includes:
Religion
Corruption
Greediness
Lack of vision
And illiteracy.

Let me explain:

I was of the notion that all Northerners are evil and even the Hausa man that sales sweet and biscuit inside a qiosk down my street is evil and is carrying dagger around looking for who to stab. That's a my idea until I sat down and realised that he is even more lovely and caring more than my fellow Igbo brothers and I guess most of us have experienced the same too.

Go to the north, the Igbo corpers there are reporting back that the northerners take care of them more than they can even imagine possible. Those causing this problems in Nigeria are those illiterate, religion biased Northerners that have allowed poverty to deprive them from their God's given sense of humanity.

Tell me how somebody will decide to wear a bomb vest willingly and blow himself up just because of religion and the promise of 7 virgins in heaven. Am I the only person thinking such person is so so so retarded?

Religion is good but when you believe the wrong thing, religion becomes deadlier than a nuclear bombs.

Secondly, to the Igbo's shouting Biafra biafra, I assure you that if the Biafra you crave for eventually comes, the same problem that has been crying will still continue crying. This is because, we are not even at peace with each other, corruption here and there. Nobody can help you do something unless you are related to them or you have something important to offer, selfishness everywhere.

Go to states, especially, Imo state, Owerri, you will see that the governor is just living ontop ppl's rights and happiness. The masses are suffering and the government is pretending as if everything is fine and nothing is happening.

Is this how we are going to rule ourselves when the Biafra comes?

Or do you think when Biafra comes the corrupt politicians will turn a new leaf? No they will continue, they will continue looting our money and preserving it for their generations to come at the expense of the masses.

Thirdly, Lack of vision and focus, the average Nigerian youth knows nothing apart from to carry laptop and start looking for an oyibo woman to scam, apart from that, he knows nothing again.

Everybody wants to drive a flashy car, carry girls while they have nothing doing. No skill.

These are the people that will be the future leaders of the country tomorrow, or even the leaders of the so called Biafra when it comes.

And the ones that are too humble enough not to join the happening G-boiz depend whole heartedly on their university certificate. You will be disappointed.

I am not against the fulfillment of Biafra, but what I am saying is that, unless we all change our ways as Nigerians, come together and build this nation from scratch in peace, love and unity, it will continue like this.

Even if the country is divided into 60 and each ethnic group forms a country, this particular problem will follow all of us to our various new countries.

Nigeria is our home. You don't run away from your home or split your family into groups, let's say, mummy and daddy forms one separate family and takes one room while children takes one room and forms a separate family.

If we consider this country as our home, which we should, because we don't have any other place to run to, we should all join hands and build it up.

Look at Syria, most of the citizens of lucky to be alive have forgotten what it was to be inside your country, living inside your home with your family alive and well.

Mr politician stop looting our money and taking it abroad, ppl elected you, serve them to the fullest.

The aboki that doesn't know what to do rather carry out violence on innocent Nigerian citizens in form of religion. Mr Aboki please focus on your cow and rare it well, it will keep you busy and focused.

You that just finished school or you are still studying, find your passion, develop yourself in it, let it be your skill, figure out how you can use it to the betterment of the country. You don't need to wait for the Government to give you a job, rather should you decieve one old oyibo woman and scam her money away. You are better than that.

This life is so simple, it is us that make it difficult. Nigeria is so blessed, it is us that make this country look like what God created on the day his wife broke his heart.

We can do better than this. When I look at things that happen in this country I just weep. Even my own Igbo brothers are not even making matters calm, look at what happened inside the church in Anambra state. We are not even safe inside our own state even with our own brothers and sisters.

I rest my case. Good night all.
Romance32 Reasons Why Most Guys Can't Get A Girlfriend by CodecJay(op): 3:45pm On Jul 10, 2017
1. You make too few attempts

Best way to get a girlfriend is to make as many approaches as possible, until you succeed.

95% of guys who ask Google why can’t i find a girlfriend merely make too few attempts.

Here’s how it looks like:

An average guy approaches a girl and gets rejected. Then he waits for half a year to try again.

Fear of rejection may hold you back, but reiteration is literally the best way to get a girlfriend fast.

Walk up to a girl you like no matter which circumstances you may find yourself under, have a quick chat and ask for a phone number.

If you perform the above sequence of actions enough times, you’ll definitely get a date, which is the confident prerequisite for everything else.

2. You wait for The Princess aka Perfect Someone

Probably you have an unclear silhouette of a perfect girlfriend in your head. Perhaps, you even may describe her characteristics. Are you sure such a person really exists?

3. You give up too fast, after the first rejection

You ask a girl out for coffee. She says No. She says she’s busy. Then you give up.

What if I told you, she might be actually busy that evening. Why don’t you try again in a week or two?

Intersexual relationships may be tricky sometimes. No means Yes, and all that. But why don’t you make one more attempt just to make things clear?

4. You live with parents in your late 20s. You can afford living on your own, but you do not move out because you’ve chosen to stay in comfort conditions of parental home.

This is a big red flag for most women, who may consider you as an eventual boyfriend.

If you have income which covers your basic needs in food and room, think of moving out of your parents’ home as soon as possible.

Living on your own is among the best ways to get a girlfriend.

5. You are a “nice guy”. And it’s not a compliment.

6 You have appearance issues you can easily solve (bad breath, dirty close, etc.)

Sometimes it’s banal negligence that makes a girl not want to consider you as a boyfriend.

7. You obsess over physical aspects of your body you can’t change (height, weight, bald head, etc.)

This is quite a widespread excuse for no girlfriend. A man finds some flaw (which may not really be a flaw) in his body and focuses on it.

The image of a handsome, finely dressed man is propagandized by companies, the only goal of which is to make you buy their products.

If you take a walk along the street you may notice that there’re all types of couples.

8 You try to be the best and the most perfect one.

People actually love imperfect ones.

9. You expect a girl to make the first move. You do not initiate social interaction.

While there are cases when a woman initiates communication with the romantic purpose, there’re too few of them to be considered as the way things actually are.

Most women still prefer a guy to approach them. These are just the rules of the game.

10. You hang out with the group of people who dominate over you, so your personality is not seen.

It may happen that people you usually hang out with tend to relate to you as someone less important. Or someone whose opinion can be easily ignored. They may assert themselves at your expense.

Such social group may be the cause why you cannot get a girlfriend. A woman sees that you occupy an inferior position among other males in your group. This fact makes you less desirable to her.

11. You avoid public places (where most social interactions take place, including social networks)

12. You dwell on your past mistakes as well as on bygone glorious victories

People have a natural tendency to ruminate over their past.

Sometimes you may remember some shameful public situation or a goofy mistake you made long ago. That’s OK. That is how we use our experience to achieve better results in the future.

However, if you focus on the negative side of your past too much, you may start catastrophizing those events and bringing in unproductive definitions as always and never.

“I always make fool of myself in public.”

“I never do anything right.”

The opposite extreme is to concentrate on your victories only. You may shape a self-image of a highly successful person who always wins, which is based on your thoughts and impression of your bygone days (not actual facts).

This will result in unrealistically high expectations, so every failure you’ll ever experience, will cause unnecessary pain.

In the case of getting a girlfirend problem, you may dwell on one regular rejection too heavily, and come up with a delusional idea, that your next attempt will end the same way.

Or, when you were in the elementary school, you were popular among the girls — usually they made the first move.

Now you project those events onto the current circumstances.

So when you do not get desired results, you get confused and unhappy, because your expectations were not met as you thought they would.

13. You complain way too much. You’re hooked on self-pity emotional junk

“I find it fascinatingly stupid for average dudes to sit around in a mediocre forum discussing how they will die virgins, and all of them will come back to such place to consume more and more of such negative energy!”

14. You are not disciplined to approach women on a regular basis

15. You are too picky

You find a flaw in every girl you meet. I’m pretty sure, you’ll find a drawback or too in The Princess you’re waiting for as well.

All people have one or another negative attribute, you including.

16. You’re too focused on your study/job, and do not make time for the romantic affairs

Perhaps, it’s just defensive mechanism, or you really do love studying/working so much that you completely ignore other areas of your life.

17. In the beginning of an acquaintance you do not state clearly that you see the girl as a romantic partner. So you find yourself in the friend zone eventually.

18. You wait for the perfect moment when you feel emotionally, financially, physically great to approach a girl (which never ever happens).

You believe that public success, fame, money will make girls longing for spending a date with you. Partly it’s true, but it’s unlikely it will get you the girl you really want.

19. You’re afraid to reveal your personality traits in public

20. You build walls instead of bridges. You avoid straight ways like simply walk up to a girl you like and say Hi.

You come up with messy  plans how to get that girl. However, you will not get any score for the original approach. You delay the results you want, and it’s just ineffective.

21. Too much of glamour inside to meet a real life girl. You’ve seen too many photoshopped pictures and watched too many polished videos and anime to be attracted to a real woman.

22. You overthink things

23. Some girls find you attractive. You miss those opportunities.

They aren’t good enough for you, are they?

24. You draw fast conclusions why this or that girl does not suit you without even talking to her, just by her appearance

25. You get too close too quickly

26. You read and theorize way too much. You want to know how things work before trying them first-hand.

27. You do not have other interests in your life

28. You avoid touching a girl by all means

29. You’re afraid to compete with other guys

30. You’re looking in the wrong places (nightclubs, if you don’t like to dance, crowded groups of friends if it’s hard for you to communicate in such environment)

31. You’ve built a fake image of yourself and are trying to sell it. You present yourself as rich when you’re broke, as confident when you are not, etc.

32. You do not think for yourself. You rely on someone’s else experience and opinion, this list including, instead of getting your own hands-on results.

PhonesSamsung Galaxy J7 (2016) Explodes In The Hands Of A 4-year Old In Pakistan by CodecJay(op): 5:54pm On Jul 05, 2017
It looks like the era of exploding Samsung devices is not yet over.

A new device explosion case has been reported involving a Samsung’s Galaxy J7 2016 which exploded in the hands of a 4-year old.

According to the report, the accident occurred in Pakistan. Although it did not cause any serious injuries on the 4-years old girl.

The Mother, Naureen Ahsan, gave her Samsung Galaxy J7 to her daughter who wanted to play Talking Tom game. Not too long after that, the device overheated and exploded in the girl’s hand.

While nobody can tell exactly what happened with the Galaxy J7, Parents are advised to keep their children away from mobile phones.

The case of Naureen’s Samsung Galaxy j7 exploding might be an isolated case and not a widespread flaw in the smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 incident that occurred last year.

Considering that the phone is one of the most sorts after in most countries thereby the number of units being sold and circulating is high and non have been reported to explode.

It is most likely an isolated case.

Let’s wait and hear what Samsung will say about this accident.

Thank you for using that word "Responsibly" It means alot.

See, it is cool to copy and copy responsibly, but it is foolish to copy and not add your own unique touch to what you have copied before bringing it out to the public. The outcome is that your copied product can never be greater than the original if you fail to add your own touch to the finish.
Phones6 Smartphone Brands That Couldn’t Stop Themselves From Copying Apple by CodecJay(op): 9:04am On Jun 29, 2017
The world’s Technology field has passed the level of technology brands copying designs and ideas from each other, we all need companies that will go to their design and planning tables and come up with unique, amazing designs and technology that will WOW the whole world.

It feels so frustrating hearing that a new phone has been announced; rushing to take a look at the phone only to realize that it looks like a phone you’ve seen trending somewhere else in the smartphone market.

In this post, I want to draw up a comprehensive and detailed list of 6 Android producing smartphone brands that couldn’t withstand copycat natures from copying Apple.

Huawei

This company seemed to be ripping Apple off bit by bit by copying them mercilessly. Take a look at the photo below.

It is so pathetic how Huawei copied iPhone down to the last screw on its new P9. The picture below is not two iPhones stacked up on each other, that’s actually an iPhone on the new Huawei p9

Though they tried to differ in a way by migrating the fingerprint sensor and eliminating the mechanical home button, the two phones share the same styling and finishing.

Again, the company also copied Apple back in 2015 when they first released their Huawei mate S. They launched it with a feature called force touch.

The force torch was first released by Apple on their Apple watch and will later be seen on iPhone 6S as 3D touch.

Huawei’s force touch has the same functionality as the one from Apple which allows screens to detect different levels of pressure.

Oppo

While Oppo’s name is still yet to become a household name in the West, they’ve built an empire in the east to the extent they knocked out Apple and Samsung to take over the Chinese smartphone market.

Maybe it is because the Chinese technology market is really a place where nobody gives a heck where you copied your phone design from. Oppo has achieved a great feat even with its incessant copy of iPhone designs.

Take a look at Oppo’s R9 and it will remind you of how talented Apple designers could be.

Oppo R9 and R9 Plus officially unveiled: the most blatant, shameless iPhone clones we've ever seen

Also look at the new Oppo F1 plus

It’s good to know that the company has been dishing out good phones with good specs and there marketing strategy in China is second to none. But they should know that they cannot conquer the western world with this type of copycat strategy.

Lenovo

Back in 2014, Lenovo joined the leagues of iPhone copycats when they released their S90 Sisley. The phone has the same rounded metal edges and overall design as the iPhone 6. The speaker placement is exactly the same.

Although Lenovo is the fourth-largest smartphone vendor in China and they have shown off their prowess on this phone by making it superb in its level of smartphoness, the phone still falls into the class of iPhone look-alikes.

Compare the Lenovo S90 Sisley with the iPhone 6 below.

The S90 Sisley came with a 13-megapixel camera while iPhone 6 came with an 8-megapixel camera. Lenovo’s phone was a lower resolution 720p screen compared to Apple’s phone. The display is also slightly larger at 5-inches as opposed to the iPhone 6’s 4.7-inch screen.

Lenovo’s phone appears to be just as slim as Apple’s, but it comes with a much more larger 2,300 mAh battery compared to the iPhone 6’s 1,810 mAh battery.

OnePlus

How can I talk about iPhone copycats without including the latest dude that just joined up? The OnePlus 5 was released few days ago and it looked exactly like iPhone 7 plus. The similarities can be seen more from the back around the dual camera area.

OnePlus 5 Specs

Looking at the two phones from the front too, you can still see some similarities popping out.

From the front, the OnePlus 5 (right) also looks strikingly similar to the iPhone 7 Plus.

Although the OnePlus 5 looks like an iPhone, the company put in so much effort into this one to make sure that the smartphone stood out from other iPhone look-alikes and can be able to fend for itself in the smartphone market without the influence of its iPhone look alike design. The features are impressive and it is worthy to be called a flagship phone.

Read: Scratched, Bent and Burned: OnePlus 5 Passes Through The Dreaded Digital Drill Test

So, if you love the design of the iPhone 7 but you prefer Android to iOS, consider the new OnePlus 5.

Xiaomi

Xaiomi is a Chinese company that started 5 years ago. After producing ROMs for the Android freaks, they decided to dive into smartphone production.

Their phones are good, powerful and a force to reckon with in the Chinese and Indian market, but some of their smartphones and even their UI looks similar to that of Apple’s iPhone.

Right from the start, Xiaomi’s smartphone designs have been influenced by iPhone but that’s to an extent. I want to draw your attention to Xiaomi’s UI and how it’s very similar to that of iOS.

Samsung

Apple’s biggest rivalry in the smartphone world. Samsung won’t copy iPhone’s design like the others do and expect to go scot free. Samsung will steal not only design but ideas from iPhone and include them on their phones. An obvious example of Samsung stealing from Apple is the iPhone 4’s glass back panel which Samsung used on their Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5, and Galaxy S6 Edge also features a similar glass back panels.

Some new Samsung phones come with an all-glass back just like the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

Also, the original galaxy s phone even looks like an iPhone.

It is just obvious Samsung copied a lot of ideas from Apple on its way up to become a Smartphone giant.

Samsung loves to copy Apple and being a big rival, they’ve been hunted so many times because of that. It’s about 5 years now since they concluded with the last case of patent infringement lawsuits for of Samsung copying the overall look and feel of the iPhone. Samsung agreed to pay the to pay Apple $548 million in damages for infringing on a number of iPhone and iPad patents. While Samsung is still owing around $149 million, the remaining $399 million balance has been wiped out but will certainly be recalculated in the lower courts.

Conclusion:

Apple hires the best designers in the world, and they produce the best designs for the Apple smartphones and that is why they are at the top in the tech industry and 9th largest company worldwide according to Forbes.

The fact is, so many young smartphone companies are taking inspiration from iPhone. They want to start from what’s already working in the smartphone industry, implement their own technology at least have a say in this ever growing industry. But while everywhere seemed calm and anybody brand can pop up, copy and do smartphone design malpractice on another brand and still make sales, will this always be the same every year in this industry?

Charging your phone from zero to 100%
I came across a blog post on scienceAlert. The post was about a study carried out by Battery University; a leading resource for information about batteries. The report stated that Li-ion Batteries does not need to be fully charged, nor is it desirable to do so. This is because a high voltage stresses the battery and wears it away in the long run.

Li-ion batteries are one out of two types of battery found on Smartphones today and might be the one in your phone right now. Keep them charged 50% or most of the time but not up to 100%. Whenever it drops below 50%; top it up a little. A little charge few times a day seems to be the optimum to aim for.

Charging your battery overnight
While charging your phone overnight is not going to cause any damage to your Smartphone battery by means of overcharging it. In our today’s Smartphone technology, that word, “overcharge” doesn’t exist anymore. Smartphone’s have a chip that automatically disconnects the phone from absorbing any extra electrical current once the battery is fully charged.

Does charging your phone overnight ruin the battery?

No, but the main problem with charging your phone overnight has to do with the amount of charge/discharge cycles a Smartphone battery can go through. The cells in a Smartphone battery were not built to last forever, but at least, two or more years of being in perfect condition is okay.

Businessinsider reported that the companies that make your smartphone batteries say they should barely last a year.

Battery University stated that your smartphone’s lithium-ion battery have at least a lifespan of 300-500 charging cycles.

If the normal daily charging and discharging of the Smartphone battery over time can wear off the battery leading to a reduction in the amount of charge it can hold. Charging and discharging more frequently will quicken the death of your smartphone battery cells.

That’s just con in charging your Smartphone overnight, when it drops 1% your charger will fill it back up immediately, reducing the charging cycle drastically.

Charging and using the phone at the same time
Is it bad to use your phone while charging?

You must have heard this question countless times.

Imagine playing that wonderful game that hooked you up to your Smartphone, then all of a sudden you ran out of battery and you probably need to charge the phone or stop playing the game if the battery finally goes flat. What will you do?

The normal Smartphone user will quickly plug in the charger and continue playing the game. Everybody is guilty of this one.

Everybody is guilty on this one.

We should all learn to desist from this practice; I know will be very hard to do.

While you will not notice any immediate damage to your Smartphone’s battery but the damage will come over time.

First, the battery will start overheating and when it does, your battery starts swelling up gradually and a swollen battery is never as good and healthy as its previous self.

Secondly, every Smartphone battery has its designated time to charge to 100%. A 2000mAH battery will take around 1hr to be fully charged. If you are charging your battery and using it at the same time, it will take longer to charge. The result is that the battery heats up and its components heat up too.

I will talk about temperature and how it can damage your battery later on this post.

Using any Charger that comes your way
Even looking at your Smartphone’s manual, the manufacturer wrote that you should only charge with chargers meant for the phone. They are not trying to be wicked, they are just trying to make sure you enjoy your phone for a very long time and also secure their brand name.

There are so many fake and original chargers in the market today, and while the original chargers meant for your phone can be very expensive, you might be tempted to go for the cheaper fake ones.

Your charger is the most important Smartphone accessory your Smartphone has. It stands in between your precious Smartphone and the massive electric current that wouldn’t waste time to blow up your phone into ashes. Whether lower or higher than normal, the charger takes in any amount of power presented to it and outputs the absolute amount of power your battery needs to charge and function properly. This is because your original charger was built with your Smartphone’s battery in mind, but the fake charger out there wasn’t and it will not feed your battery the optimum power it needs and in some cases, this might cause the slow and steady death of your Smartphone’s battery.

Leaving the battery without charge for too long
If you are going to leave your phone for a very long time, don’t leave it with a 0% or a 100% charge.

According to Techadvisor.com, try to leave it at around 40-50%.

Li-ion batteries tend to drain at about 5-10% a month when not in use. If you leave the battery completely discharged for a very long period of time, the battery may eventually become incapable of holding a charge whenever you come back to it.

Some people believe that leaving a battery 100% charged for a very long time might make the battery explode, no proof has been drawn up to back up this belief but I think it is possible if the battery is kept in a place that the temperature will rise beyond normal.

To be on the safer side, just leave the battery with 40-50% charge, Li-ion batteries retain charge a lot at that level.

The effects of low and high temperature on Smartphone batteries.
Let me start with how high temperatures can damage your Smartphone battery and maybe your Smartphone too.

These days; all the Smartphones around the world must have either one of the two types of batteries found on smartphones; a lithium-ion battery (Li-ion) or a Lithium polymer battery.

Smartphone brands that want to embrace the new revolution of technology and produce slim weightless smart phones will always go for the Li-ion battery; this is because the latter adds more weight to your pocket when used in a Smartphone.

But, the Li-ion battery with all of its advantages doesn’t fare well with high temperature while Lithium polymer batteries don’t have any problem with high temperature unless it is frying.

The Li-ion battery was cursed with a problem whereby a rise in temperature will promote even more excess heat and finally leading to overheating issues. This process is called “thermal runaway” and I will elaborate more on it in another post.

Well, not just a rise in temperature. A drastic fall in temperature can also cause severe damage to your Smartphone battery.

Smartphone batteries were designed to fare well in low temperatures more than high temperatures, but a temperature as low as -40 degrees will cause so much damage to a Smartphone battery.

Smartphone studies have shown that Android phones perform better in the cold more than its Apple counterparts.

In cold temperatures, your battery will always drain out rapidly and when this repeats itself, it might damage the battery very fast. The device may shut down spontaneously with a drained battery. This is because the cells are not in the normal temperature that will help them function properly.
PhonesDoes The New Nokia 3310 Have The Same Toughness As Its Old Version? by CodecJay(op): 11:45pm On Jun 10, 2017
When HMD took over Nokia on 01 December 2016. They have so many things in mind in which they will use to bring the old and dead mobile phone giant back to life. One of these strategies is the resurrection of the old and tough Nokia 3310.

Back in the days when this phone existed in its ancient form, the phone was very strong and tough, and that was exactly why everybody loved it.

HMD brought it back to life although in a new form and additional modern features so that they can lure back Nokia’s lost fans. The phone since its release is doing quite well. It is available in so many markets in different countries and affordable too.

But, a question always comes to mind. Does the new Nokia 3310 have the same toughness as its older brother?

To answer this question, a French blogger carried out some experiments on the Nokia 3310 version 2017. In these experiments, the new device was exposed to the experiences of falling from low altitude and high altitudes. It was also shown to be climbed by a car tire several times, and except for scratches, the phone continued to work perfectly.

Inasmuch as the phone is a younger version of its older version; built in an era where brands have abandoned the hunt for durability and toughness and instead they are hunting for sleek design and amazing features, the phone is expected to be less tough. But, Nokia did a great job on this one and I hope the phone helps them fulfil their plans.

The phone costs 19,000-20,000 Naira in Nigeria, and you can get it from our online and offline stores.

In the police station...

It took me some time to recognize my friend Phil. His face was different. Although, there was no mark on his face or swollen Koko on his head or face to show that the police had battered his face already. His face was looking so rough as if the policemen used a fake sand paper on him. Phil is a handsome guy, but now the handsomeness is nowhere to be found.

According to Phil, he collected his neighbor’s three hundred thousand Naira new Dell laptop to transfer some movies to his laptop.

The owner of the laptop left him with the laptop and left for his afternoon lecture.

Phil, being a Hollywood action movie freak kept transferring the guy’s tons of new movies until he got tired and hungry. He needed to go and buy tin tomato to prepare spaghetti. So he left the laptop that was still transferring the movies to his external hard disk, he locked his room, ran downstairs and out into the street to get the tin tomato.

On getting back, his door was still locked and intact. But when he came inside his room, his neighbor’s laptop was nowhere to be found, his hard disk was there present and unplugged, and his laptop was there too. He didn’t need to put on a virtual reality headset to see that it was only his neighbor’s laptop that was missing.

According to him, blood started flowing down into his legs. His brain reduced in size and sweat combined with goose pimples covered his whole body. His testicles developed some pain as if another egg was added to the brown wrinkled sac.

Nobody believed him. Everybody called him a thief that he is very wicked. The owner of the laptop didn’t hesitate to put his uncle on call. His uncle being a senior police officer didn’t hesitate to send his boys down to round Phil up. The police officers; loving this type of case didn’t hesitate to show up as it gives them the opportunity to show their annoying presence to the general public.

Phil was trying so hard to hide his fear and confusion by painting the whole thing with his sharp sense of humor so we can all laugh about it. But looking at his face, his facial expression gave him out. You can easily read his fears as it was written all over him.

“Please, whatever happens, leave my mom out of this, don’t tell her” Phil pleaded.

Phil is the only issue of his single mom, and the mom is not even well to do.

Jerry and I finally met with the DPO to talk about Phil’s bail. The DPO blatantly refused bail our bailing request.

He insisted that Phil is a hardened criminal and will be treated as such. He said that he is not ready to let such a criminal out since they were only able to catch him by sheer good luck. But the real truth is that the powers that kept my friend there are greater than what Jerry and I can dialogue through. Even the money in my pocket couldn’t speak for me.

The DPO was so hardened; beating around the bush with so many reasons why he will not grant Phil bail. Our dialogue entered through one ear and came out through the other. He eventually succeeded in wasting our time till it was 6.O’clock and at that time, it is impossible to get a bail. We had to start begging the DPO and other officers present.

“Sir, our brother is a good man. I bet you; this is just an accusation labeled onto him!” We kept on lamenting to the DPO

When he was bored hearing our pleas, he ended up ordering three junior police officers to throw us out of the police station.

They left u so roughed up. I bet you; those policemen were so hard on us. I don’t want to use the sentence that they beat us out of the police station so that your hatred for the Nigerian police will not increase. When they were satisfied with the distance, they’ve beat us to away from the police station they left us. Jerry and I stood in front of the gate adjusting our clothes.

One of the policemen turned back to us while others left. “Something tells me that your friend is innocent, but in a country like this, innocence is just a catalyst that will facilitate one’s death.” He walked closer to us. “In case you don’t know, this case is a high priority because of the family involved, they are very wealthy and highly influential, and they like trampling on the poor for no just reason. The laptop is expensive, but I bet you it is nothing to them, they will just want to deal with your brother, it excites them to see the poor suffer. Anything you know you can do to prove your brother’s innocence, you just have few days to do so before the case is fully taken up and I bet you, if it does, your brother is in a big mess.”

Sure, the laptop is expensive, but they can replace it without boring holes in their bank account, but they will not take it easy when dealing with your brother. Anything you know you can do to prove your brother’s innocence, you just have few days to do so before the case is fully taken up and I bet you, if it does, your brother is in a big mess.”

Anything you know you can do to prove your brother’s innocence, you just have at least five days to do so before the case is fully taken up and I bet you, if it does, with their influence your brother might end up getting a huge sentence.”

“What do you suggest we do sir? I asked the police officer.

He gazed into my eyes, “Prove he is innocent by finding what happened to the laptop. You guys keep talking about bail; don’t waste your strength on that because we will be sent to pick him up again on Monday if he was lucky to have made it out of here this evening. ”

As we walked back home to our hostels, I had only but one thing in mind, Phil is innocent, and I can swear on my life that he is. I believe somebody is trying to mess him up. If the thief had the full intention to rob Phil’s room, he should have taken along with him Phil’s laptop too and other valuables inside the room. Something smells fishy somewhere. Somebody or some evil people have got Phil on their radar, but I am not going to let my friend’s downfall put joy on their faces. I will fish them out no matter what it takes and when I do, I will make sure they pay with the last drop of their reputation.

They started the game. I will show whoever is behind this thing why he shouldn’t have disturbed my friend’s peace and deprived me of my first sexcapade with my girlfriend this semester.

I had already concluded to ignore the call because of the happy moment I was into, but the loud ringtone made it impossible.

Jenny rolled over and got the phone for me from the table. Handing it over to me, it was Jerry, one of my best paddies in school.

“Jay, where are you!?” He yelled over the phone.

Let it not be that he is currently nursing the intention of coming over to my room. He should know that Jenny came around.

“Yea, am at home,” I replied waiting for the next thing he is going to say.

“Guy, police just nabbed Phil. He is currently at the police station.”

Phil is my second best pal. The three of us roll together right from the day we took the entrance exam into this school. We are now like brothers. If you have such friends, you will understand how entwined you guys will be. They just understand me like they’ve got the remaining part of my brain.

Jerry said that he is coming over to my house to feed me in on what happened.

After I had dropped the call, I lost appetite on what Jenny and I wanted to do, and after telling her what happened, she too lost hers.

We disengaged, she dressed up, and within minutes Jerry arrived sweating and breathing heavily like he just swallowed a swig of concentrated acid.

“The way it happened, you will be very sure the accusers are correct he did it.” Jerry completed his narration of what happened to Phil.

“Today is Friday, and it is already 3 o’clock PM, we are already late if there is anything we can do to get him out of the police station today,” I told Jerry. “I think we should rush to the Police station to see if they can grant him bail so that would not sleep in the police station till Monday.”

“Anything Paddy, I don’t know anything about police cases, will they let him go for today? I don’t want him to sleep inside the cell, heard that place is terrible.” Jerry said looking scared

“So terrible, you will not even wish your enemy that type of environment.” Jenny chipped in.

Jenny stayed behind; I rushed out with Jerry to the police station.

We stopped by the ATM stand, and I withdrew some money in case if the need arise.

I could feel all my sexual hormones come alive as Jenifer took off her black top while standing in front of me. The look on her face made my condition worse. It was written all over her. She needs it.

The semester just started a week ago, and students just resumed school. I came back to school five days ago, and Jennifer just made it back yesterday.

She missed me; I don’t need a sorcerer to reveal that to me. It was written all over her face the moment she stepped into my room.

Within minutes she was out of her clothing and was climbing slowly on top of me. She sealed her lips to mine, and we started kissing vigorously.

Her nipple; moving randomly around my chest and her bare thighs coming in contact with mine gave me the sensation I couldn’t help but grab her breast with my cupped palms.

Still kissing, she was making her way to my zipper. My brain was vibrating so vigorously. I have missed this part of life for a month since the school went on their long vacation.

Suddenly, I felt my zipper go down and…

My phone started ringing.

They should nt think that this is the 60's and 70's where they killed igbos like fowl in the north.

The type of igbos existing now are not the type that existed those days.

I believe if this news is true. It should be coming from some brain washed, illiterate northerners that don't have any value for life.
