candidtalk: Oga, you will never be a winner in life if you don't learn to isolate problems and focus on the solution needed for that problem alone.
This is nothing to do with politics, unitary system and other bullcrap you want to 'quick sand' yourself with.
This is simply about African leaders realizing the continental and climatic advantage they have in a global universal disease pandemic economic downturn to then leverage on that proactively to the economic benefit of Africa.
Keep Africa open, working and profiting. It is what the West has always done to profit from wars, leadership turbulence, ethnic strife, disease proliferation and other challenges in Africa they were immune to in their 'far away continent' .
Why can't we Africans show we have the brains to be proactive and economically cynical, as the west is, for once instead of reactionary, greedy and self-destructive? A fairly simple concept. I hope you are not insulting me with your first statement. if you can't understand that once you can't get simple things right it is impossible yo get the hard and complicated things right. All the thingd you wrote up there doesn't make sense except your last paragraph which agrees with what I am trying to tell you. You want daft leaders to comprehend a complicated statement like this "This is simply about African leaders realizing the continental and climatic advantage they have in a global universal disease pandemic economic downturn to then leverage on that proactively to the economic benefit of Africa. And asking, Why can't we Africans show we have the brains to be proactive and economically cynical, as the west is, for once instead of reactionary, greedy and self-destructive? A fairly simple concept. I am telling you useless leaders can't even practice simple democracy as copied from the west you are talking about them finding a solution to complicated issues as how the pandemic has affected our economy. Economy that supposed leaders already wrecked even before the pandemic. The solution they have found is what they are practicing at the moment. The tyrants and dictators. |

candidtalk: Not a fan but Bello is 100% right that covid-19 is a marketing strategy in Nigeria certainly.
If not, why is the Government not trying to forge ahead with a solution based on our own unique and fairly mild experience with the virus after almost a year of living with it in our cramped and very overcrowded communities?
By Feb 2021, Nigeria would have been dealing with covid-19 for a year now. More than enough time for us to have fashioned a unique approach based on how covid affects us in Nigeria and Africa rather than always sneezing automatically when USA and Europe catches a covid cold.
Why always trying to paint the picture we are in the same situation as USA or Europe if not that some have realized that this is an opportunity to cash in and rake in billions through unjustifiable scaremongering ? Your points don't make any sense in Nigerian setting. When has the govt forged ahead with a solution on anything based on our unique circumstances? You think one year is enough for them to fashion a solution peculiar to us but we have been practicing a useless unitary system of govt but call it federal system and expect things to work. We copy the western world with everything but to copy them where they practice real democracy with everything that comes with it, human rights, freedom of speech etc or true federalism like its done in the U S they decide to not do that. Bello and the govt are all dumb asses. |

Most people dont realise businesses are the core of every society.
If more people build businesses, unemployment will reduce So who will you employ? when those you want to employ will also be trying to build their own business. Reckless statements like this from pastors is a shame. Is it everybody that is business oriented. As if the church itself hasn't employed people. |

No one is immune to criticism. Let's stop acting like we can't criticize our players. Nobody said no one is immune to mistakes but there is a difference when one player consistently makes mistakes while another does it once in a while. Its harder to criticize a player that makes minimal mistakes to one one that does it regularly. Just saying. |

nitrogen: I do understand your point. Fact however is that Bruno might be too driven and he probably wants people to be at his level of dedication, passion, drive etc. It’s going to be tough, there are different personalities in the team, and using methods like that to get everyone on board won’t work. There is a reason very few managers yell at footballers these days. It affects dynamics of the team and makes you go back to the drawing board (as a manager) every time. He needs to find a better way!
BTW, I don’t think it’s fair to say that some players are doing nonsense. You can’t have 11 Brunos on the pitch, so we have to live with fuvk-ups and imperfections. The manager should be the one to find a way to make sense of everything. The coaches demeanor can be considered here. I don't think I have seen Ole shout or scream at anyone but a Mourinho fit curse person papa sef Again e be like say some players don dey do nonsense consistently and its getting to him. I agree he should tone it down but sometimes that kain thing can pain when someone is consistently doing nonsense. There where times here that we wanted to crucify the likes of Lindeloff, Pogba, De gea and Martial for "doing nonsense" |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 12:23pm On Dec 26, 2020 |
nitrogen: I disagree with everything you’ve said. Let him win trophies first, the stats are BS if we don’t win trophies on the back of those. How does he want to win trophies when supposedly talented players are being sloppy? The anger is that he believes a/ some players can do better than they are doing and wants them to up the ante. Maybe doing it too much is not so good but when you are passionate about getting result and giving your best its hard to control emotions when others are being lackadaisical or consistently making school boy errors. Ordinary set wey we dey play sometimes dey make person vez talkless about what is at stake here. Even we fans wey no dey play dey vex anyhow when the likes of Rashford, Pogba, Martial, Matic and De gea decide to do nonsense and you expect make the thing no pain Bruno. Compare how many times we have abused those players I mentioned for being sloppy with how many times we have berated this same Bruno on this board and you would see that he probably has been ignoring a lot of their nonsense, hence the frustration he is showing. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 9:00pm On Dec 25, 2020 |
nitrogen: It’s a different era. Also, I don’t think Bruno has earned the right yet, he met these players at Utd, and it’s not like he’s won major trophies prior to coming to United.
I like what he is trying to do, but he should take it easy, else there will be factions and friction in the team. The fact that he is playing for united now regardless of whether he had won trophies before or not even makes it imperative that he shows his passion by screaming on any player that supposedly is sloppy. How would it look like for him to have played for a whole united for about 5 yrs or more and end up winning nothing because some players who have already won something are dropping sloppy performances on the pitch, especially when he Bruno is at least being consistent with his excellent performances. If Maguire wey be captain fvck up for pitch they should shout on him. . Even mctom supposed fit slap Maguire and Bailly if they mess up Only players who are consistent earn the right to scream at other players for their sloppy performances. And Bruno IMO has earned that right. |

Academicwizman: I am not an economist but I feel that Naira will become valueless in the nearest future and unemployment will become worse.
It appears that the government, through this policy has abandoned the hard work of proping up the economy through increased productivity but banking on foreign remittances to help the economy.
Dollarisation of the economy will be the order of the day. One would expect that the naira should become more valuable since there will be more dollars in the economy but preference to hold dollar over the naira and even trade with it internally will drive the naira value down unless the FG ban dollar as medium of exchange internally.
The cost of goods will skyrocket in naira value with devalued naira.
The inducement for foreign remittances will be lost and sending money home may become less attractive. My thoughts exactly. Instead of stimulating the economy into productivity so that we can earn $ from export while diaspora remittances be an added advantage, these ones want to rely on diaspora remittances as our supposed source of foreign exchange. How this will pan out I really don't know because Naija is a strange place. |

Nigerian presidents fail because they are so disconnected with the masses
If this man had visited that school where this kidnapping took place he would have seen things with his eyes and know how bad the situation is ( that will be different from when somebody is just briefing him and sugar coating everything) When he sees things with his deemed eyes, will his brain be able to process how bad the situation is? Him going there or getting briefed really doesn't make any difference. Who do they think they are deceiving with the kidnap, Miyetti Allah negotiations or Matawalle ordering the bandits/boko haram/herdsmen to release the boys and they were released, only for zombie aids to post picture of bubu receiving a call as an achievement. |
