Our children need to be taught History... I am shocked at this revelation.

Yoruba children be awake now!

We need to fight the curse and form a common front to rewrite history in positive vibes. We are not scoundrels, We are not sqaurandrers, We are Yoruba, Nothing changes the fact of who we are!

From Osun to Oyo, Ekiti to Ondo, Lagos to Ogun and others Òkan ni Yorùbá!

Proudly Yoruba

God bless Awolowo
that document was before 1960 independence and was one of the reasons the Yorubas pushed for Nigeria's independence.

After 1960, each region received at least 50% of their revenue until the Ironsi changed it..

Stop barking like a dog..... wasn't igbos alone but majority igbos. Look at the map and the figures and stop disgracing yourself.
vasel155 is right..

eastern region is not only Igbos infact the document you posted you should and must add Southern Cameroons 1,330,000 to the eastern region 2,750,000 allocation and you'll get the entire eastern region allocation..

The Yoruba's have two enemies and it's igbo and fulani/hausa.......zik fought hard for ilorin not to be given to the south west....... what's happening today is karma and more igbos will die for ziks actions....more will die.
Yorubas have no enemies they only have to learn to protect their interests as a collective.

still doesn't answer my question as to whether the reason is because west benefited from other regions? well what ever it is, i seriously believe nigeria needs to breakup. this setup is not and will never work from all indications. again just saying

Yes, I saw what the west generated and the paltry sum they were given as allocation. So now you know when we say Nigeria is a british business and that we weren't joking. And when we cry that Nigeria is marginalising us, we are not denying others reality and not stopping anyone else from shouting too. Imagine the posterity that would have followed the likes of Awo if they had fought those injustices and yorubas gain back all that truly belong to them. It is not a contest between east, ss, south west or the north who is more marginalised or provides more allocations but allowing commonsense to prevail. Which is that everybody should have a right to their own resources and be governed by themselves.
Sincinnati:
So because Igbos and Fulani are the same that’s the reason your fathers were too dumb to confront the British?

Was Yoruba generated revenue allocated to Igbos?
How did this thread meant to be an eye opener on colonial dominance years turn to Igbo bashing to you yoruba boys?
BSsniffer will have to also look for FG allocations after 1960 because after 1960 each region got at least 50% of it's IGR.

With this I say there was no need for Awo or anyone to fight any injustices because after 1960 the Brit:ish had left and stopped fully governing N:igeria only their companies remained and there was no Br:itain to hold responsible.

Well how football works is you earn a call up to the National team from your club side so if Nwakali can’t step up on club colors, he might never get that call up
Okoye wasn't playing 1st team football when he was called.

Nwakali plays first team football.. he wasn't born in Europe so SE can boost his profile.

The earlier you people accept that in as much as you are looking for loyalty from these players, that football is their job, that is where they get their daily bread, that is what they do for a living and who wouldn’t want the more juiciest offer in this life. To be honest these players are not blind, they go on social media too, they read the news and their dad been Nigerian too
If you as a Nigerian after you don finally find means japa, God do am for you, you were able to leave this country, you have dual citizenship one way or the either with maybe UK or Europe. If you son happens to be a footballer, common with the way the country is, let’s even just focus on the footballing side, they are not blind it is on news that this county owe players, no be today, I won’t be surprised if any news comes out today that Mikel is still been owed, it is on news how this country treat their ex players. Maybe we just use our emotions to yab this players because they chose to fight for a better future, in as much as sports is fun, it is their job, that is what they feed on and grow their life with and no one like to be owed, everybody wants a better life too. We can put aside our emotions, if I think I am good enough to fight for a starting shirt for England or France and co, I will put up that fight, you think I want to be owed. This is a sport where anyone can go on one year injury. This is my job, what happens if I gets injury of such, you think I just want to be forgotten. You people can abuse them all you want but deep down you would not blame them for putting up the fight to play for a better country, everyone wants a better life

But the fact that they chose to fight for a better country, a better life does not change the fact that they are better than what we have.
To be honest Billing is good enough to make that Denmark squad but if coach no rate you, he no rate you or probably the coach no like you or whatever reason the coach no dey call you just like Laporte, he was also waiting for France call up, and he didn’t get, he moved on, he changed his mind as he could represent Spain. Spain no do agidi because they knows he is better than all what they have
If Billing waited for Denmark and he didn’t get and he decides it time to move on, if he is better than what we have, why make dem no call am? And to be honest except Ndidi, he is better than any other DM we have.
Zaha self was 25 before he converted to Ivory Coast so make dem come reject am because he was fight for English shirt before ba?
You can call them names all you want but that is their job and what they feed on and you are telling me I have the opportunity to fight for a country where I will be owed salary or the one I won’t be getting my pay
The risk of my job is getting injured, so you are going to just leave me if I get injured
They are human beings too, they think about all these things
You guys talk about how you will be bagging up deals once you put on the England shirt and you are expecting them not to to fight to put on that jersey
You should cut them some slack, it doesn’t change anything. If they decide to represent Nigeria tomorrow, they should be called if they are good and better than what we have
There are a lot of Nigerians with dual citizenship in down of English isthman league or national league, so if anyone of them decide early in their career that they would want to represent Nigeria even if they are not up to standards they should be the ones we should be calling abi because they made commitment to Super Eagles early in their career, all that one no follow
You people keep making a case for Nwakali, instead of you people to leave the lad let him show that he is better or even as good as you guys hype him here, una no go allow us hear word. Note, I am not saying Nwakali can’t be better but he has been exposed to the so called world class facility since entering Europe after the U17 World Cup so what is still his excuse. Osimhen, Ndidi, Chukwueze have all step up their game since then so until Nwakali prove that he is better than whoever you guys claim he is better than, he isn’t, no be by make una dey tell us for here say Nwakali is good at this or that, let him show us on the pitch
You guys keep shouting the players should make their decision and when they do, you start saying they were using you to catch cruise before so you don’t want when they still have solid good number of years
Nwakali needs national team call up to upgrade himself.. the same way goalkeeper Okoye fortunes upgraded once he started playing for the SE.

That's one of the reasons it's important to reduce the quota of foreign Nigerians in the SE.

haven't you also asked yourself why in 1914 when southern Nigeria was making loads of revenue the british did not build planned housing estates, schools, hospitals, sports centers e.t.c all over southern Nigeria but they decided to join it with northern Nigeria and use part of the revenue from southern Nigeria to govern and finance northern Nigeria...

planned housing estates in southern Nigeria in 1914 will have eradicated mud houses in southern Nigeria and the catastrophe of unplanned housing you see in ibadan, ogun state and other places in Nigeria..

they could also have given southern Nigeria social benefits like unemployment benefits, free education, free healthcare e.t.c.. it was Awolowo that started free education.. if the b:ritish had started it there won't be so many Nigerians without formal education in 2021..

You say the British are bad yet they are caring for a place in Nigeria ravaged by Nigerians (bokoharam).

You said they are bad but when they handed over the country to you in 1960, it was better than now.

You said they are bad but they handed true federalism to you but you ruined it.

Perhaps if they had insisted on continued colonialism until year 2000, that would have been better in hindsight
it was worse in 1960...

in 1960, Nigeria had only 1 university, primary and secondary schools were only in some places.

they didn't hand "true federalism" to Nigeria, Nigeria had to practise regionalism because of its diversity therefore Nigeria created the federalism for itself..

If they had continued colonialism until year 2000, only key parts of Lagos Island will be developed the rest of Nigeria will be total trash worse than Nigeria even had in the year 2000 of its 40th independence...

Putting this proposed ICAN University in Abuja is a big mistake which they will regret.
If you like, put ICAN University in Sokoto or Jigawa, Northerners won't attend. They prefer to do ANAN which is a certification for blockheads.

Those who form the bulk of ICAN's customers won't attend because of the distance and those who ICAN is trying to please won't attend because they lack the intellectual capacity to pass ICAN.
Nigeria's current president is from the north so everything will be sited there. Unless southern governors speak up and demand one each in the SW SE and SS.

And by how much will the economy be boosted, by National team players? Sometimes the way una dey reason eh cheesy

Can you tell me one country that uses quota system for their national team?

Let me tell you the truth, the mentality of our home grown players is the problem here. Not foriegn based or being biased. Many of the talents we had fizzled out due to inconsistency and lack of motivation. When an average Nigerian starts living and earning good wages abroad, it's hard for them to maintain focus and hardwork and improvement. That one was even celebrating passport the other day should tell you how they reason. Some didn't even finish school.

Should we now blame NFF for that? It's their fault alone. Any player that indicates interest for Nigeria and is eligible and of adequate performance should be invited, whether born in Mars and Raised in Pluto, I don't care. The only thing I don't like is endless pursuit of someone who has eyes elsewhere.
every country uses quota system...

they check the highest goal scorer in the elite league in their country, the highest assist, the highest tackles, highest chances created... statistics was and is built to pick the highest performing person in any field and that's quota system..

most Nigerian players from the 90s till early 2000s were using football age and they "fizzled out" due to their body not being able to continue with the pace of the league they played in.. o:simhem, c:hukwueze , i:heanacho, n:didi, a:woniyi, o:dey, o:layinka, u:zoho, z:aidu e.t.c. have not fizzled out and will not fizzle out in the 5 - 10 years..

yes N:FF is to blame for not picking players with real age, mikel, martins, odemwingie, ike uche, o:binna nsofor e.t.c. all had long careers even the likes of o:kocha, kanu, finidi, yekini, oliseh, babangida, ikpeba e.t.c. had long careers...

Are you aware that some of the parents of these "Foreign based" players you guys are hating on paid their dues for Nigeria before they left?? Going by your logic - the children of the homegrown players who are born abroad should be not be priority despite all their parents did for Nigeria.

This envy some of you have for Foreign born players need to stop. Don't blame them for the incompetence of NFF...all it does is make you look/sound like a xenophobe.
yes Mikel, Amokachi and other SE players who married non black/African removed value from the Igbo and Nigerian community because most of their children will end marrying non-Nigerians and their wealth goes with them but Mikel, Amokachi and other SE players who married non black/African also have families and businesses in Nigeria that they will maintain until they pass on.

yes the children of the homegrown players who are born abroad should be not be priority despite all their parents did for Nigeria.

its not envy, its about boosting the Nigerian economy... some Foreign countries use a quota system of the amount of non-natives in their national team.. Nigeria should have a quota of at least 30% - 40% foreign Nigerians in the national team.
