Why is Chaka apps very poor in updating prices? even the Mobile app and the Online viewing will report different figures as if they were not getting their data from the same database. Even if you refresh it as many times as possible it will not update or is this only me?

Pre market is basically trading before the main market opens, I don't how they pick who is able to participate in pre market but advantage of premarket is that one is able to react faster to any news about a company, negative or positive.

Sometimes but never always, pre market gives indication of the market direction.

The implication as far oas is that when market opens oas Wil be worth 0.97 dollars, if you bought shares, your shares will rise in immediately as makert opens but doesn't mean it will stay that way.

Right now Oas is just about 0.67 dollars, it has significantly dropped , those who will benefit are those who withdrew very early today

If the pre market was below 0.67 , as makert open, your stock price will immediately drop.

when it happens like this, it means the price has changed, most of the time, the stock you want to buy has increase or decrease in price so you may need to refresh or logout and login again and it will be fine. Hope this helps.

Keeping it simple, say you bought at $500.00/share; you decide there and then that all you need is $100/share gain on this stock.
It hits $600.00/share and you sell without regretting if it moves to $750 after you have sold.

That's your exit plan executed.

I am new to stock completely and i mean i dont know jack!!!!
but have been following on all the great comments of the Masters here.

i want to start with about $500, my major aim is long term as i saw that the 52 weeks high of some stock are very good compared to what they are now, so if i buy now definitely when the pandemic is over at the long run things will pick up to nearly their 52 weeks high, i dont mind it may be 2 years.

On the other hand i read comments of some Masters here making some gains during this time all stock are going down, cos of the small amount i have now is there a way i can add to this?

1. What application is best to start with, read transactions delays and get stuck in Trove, i also checked Chaka looks like their user interface is a bit poor. anybody using any other good ones please help
2. What stocks can i buy to add some short term dividend in this short term, i can always check here every time if you want me to.
3. What best stock can i buy with this little amount that will bring something good on the long run
4. And we never can tell, some good people may say this is a small amount and they will like to add to it, you are welcome and will be appreciated
I will really appreciate your answers to this?
Remember i know nothing about this but learning fast. Please be so specific to give a name eg buy MSFT-Microsoft and not the sector or family name like you can buy Technology stocks.

EVERY ~TRANSACTION I have raised their platform since March 19th has failed. I have over $1,000 sitting in their "wallet".

This evening raised the question in the group cheapen telegram, why every transaction has failed irrespective of my rate, yet two of the same transactions at the same values on Chaka has gone through?.

My comment was promptly deleted and i was restricted from commenting in the group.

Whenever people are unable to answer basic questions about their products or processes, I RUN.

Why delete my question and restrict me?. It is a simple enough question.

This is the second funny issue with them.

Trove is just failing failing and failing for transactions.
Is there a particular time or way to do this maybe their site is overwhelmed now or what could have been the cause.

If you have followed the discussion on this thread so far, varied number of Mutual Fund Operators have been mentioned such as ARM, STANBIC MMF, Investment One, FBN Quest etc. You can make your choice among the many and be doing the monthly commitment.... Go the MMF way and make a choice that meets your investment goals.
Note that you can get the emails of these investment houses and make your direct and specific enquries as regards their modus operandi.

Since what you want to do is more savings, mutual funds will be your best bet.
Although they are a couple of investment firms you use my preference is for stanbic ibtc mutual funds. You can open it online by sending them a message and they will send you the forms and the kyc requirements, in less than a week you are ready to start putting a part of your income inside it. I do hope you have the discipline to follow through with your plan and not default after 2 months because this is not like school where you get punished for not submitting assignment, instead in this case as in all investments, you are your own supervisor.
