We will supply Dangote the crude oil to refine for us. He will only charge refining fee. We have the oil here.
We suffer from oil importation because we are exposed to oil price variations and international logistic costs, which fritter our forex away. lol supply crude oil for free? if I may ask who is is going to supply crude for free? is it famfa oil owned by foloronsho..or shell or chevron.. u think the oil is pumped for free? |

I specifically said state owned and put STATE in capitals specifically for people like you. Clearly my efforts were in vain. u clearly do not know why our local refineries failed in the first place are our dead refineries not state owned? besides is english ur problem look ..weather you want local government to own refineries as far as they are not going to make profit or deregulated ..then they will still need subsidies to keep going . |

SIRTee15: buying from dangote will free up our forex. dangote will sell to local buyers in naira not dollars. 2. dangote will buy crude oil from nigerian govt who can sell to him at discount/fixed rate if they want to continue indirect subsidy. Thats how its done in saudi and iran. Threre's a big difference between buting from local refineries and foreign ones. the only savings from buying from local refineries is forex...it ends there government will still subsidize dangote directly on indirectly tell me the difference between paying dangote 3 trillion naira yearly in cash to keep PMS at N165 and giving dangote N3 trillion worth of crude oil please I await the difference do you know NNPC doesnt pay for subsidies entirely in cash ..they sometimes do something called oil swap.. where crude worth billions are given to foreign refineries in exchange for reduced price on PMS to over all N165 per litre..does it change the fact that subsidies are still paid? think naa |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Speaks On Petrol Subsidy by Cognitivereason: 3:03pm On Jul 06, 2022 |
rant19ade: The best way we can survive without subsidy is to have our refineries working at a capacity to service the full country. We can't be exporting oil and still be buying at rates higher than those without crude.
Another alternative is to have adequate power supply to lower the demands on oil for the daily economical needs of the nation. the bolded is not true.. dangote can service nigeria and Cameroon fuel needs once it starts running but he can never sell PMS for even N300 per litre he will sell at the international rate which is atleast N400 meaning we need to subsidize dangote and any other local refinery coming onboard |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Speaks On Petrol Subsidy by Cognitivereason: 3:00pm On Jul 06, 2022 |
casualobserver: A man who aspires to be president that doesnt have a clear position on subsidy is clearly not ready to govern Nigeria. Subsidy is costing us too much but it is clear it cannot be removed until the local STATE owned refineries are working. You dont require a Ph.d to realise that. All that "we will study" what are you studying that you havent studied since Occupy Nigeria subsidy protest?
if you dont have a clear position on subsidy, security, restructuring, economic growth, state police (on all of which this impostor has none) you are not ready to be president of Nigeria and you should not grant interviews until you do.
I dont know how a man in labour party wants to remove subsidy when it is the same labour movement that will grind the country to a halt. i dont know how you want to execute any economic blue print when we spend the equivalent of 33% of our federal budget on subsidy! 2023 subsidy alone will build lagos ibadan rail 5 times. That is how crucial subsidy is and 7 months to an election you dont have a clear position?
This man is a joker!!!! rest..u seem to be a bigger joker too who told you local refineries will stop subsidies or make it convenient to stop subsidies,... you clearly do not understand how it works the same money diverted to foreign refineries for petroleum product is what we will divert to dangote when he begins production in order for him to sell at N165.. no local refinery will last 2 hours selling PMS at N165 everyday is an opportunity to remove subsidies ..we do not need to wait for local refineries to spring up |

It is only God that will have mercy on you! In as much as you hate Peter Obi candidacy, don't use propaganda to dispute an obvious truth! Oil subsidy in Nigeria is a scam! You protested against it with Buhari now he is in power, you have changed! What are you? Chameleon. The amount spent on subsidy is to offset ASUU bill, help more in security and health sector. Obi told you that he has alternative that will save money for Nigerians, you don't what the country to get better because you gaining from its corruption. The answer is that he will fix the refinery. Nigeria will be refinery crude, we will not sell crude at cheap amount and only to buy refined oil at higher price. No that regime has passed. you dont know what ur saying.. fixing the refineries will not alleviate subsidy what is the special alternative obi has in mind..electric vehicles or hydrogen powered vehicles? the alternative buhari gave is CNG.. where vehicles will be converted to run on gas..BRT wanna switch from diesel to gas..NNPC, zamfara government and a road union ordered thousands of gas vehicles. biko what is Obi's alternative to this |

I am not saying we have the best security architecture but certainly.. if buhari was in his convoy..he would definitely be in a fully fortified armoured vehicle. you will also have several gun trucks before and after his own vehicle.. there are bomb detection vehicles very close to the official vehicle..also he travels in a fleet of about 40 vehicles..atleast 30 of which are field with armed soldiers ,police and DSS officials... like I said as far as bubu was confortable in his official car..definitely it unlike for the terrorist to succeed without heavy resistance.. even president john F kennedy was murdered in his convoy in the US..a whole america |
