Bros you funny o, Buhari tried where?

Those two you are excluding are the most important factors of a country. The economy of a country can only grow and thrive in a secured environment, so where him for try?

If you want to mention infrastructure, the same infrastructure is what Bandits are destroying with bombs here and there, e.g Kaduna-Abuja rail.
kaduna- abuja rail..is the only piece of infrastructure under the mercy of bandit and for your information buhari didnt build that rail..

other rails the government invested it money into are moving on smoothly

mention any bridge proudly being constructed by this govt which is under the control of terrorist..
2nd niger bridge, 2nd ikom bridge, loko oweto bridge, bodo bonny bridge..
mention any?

or compare it to previouse govt ..that is if they built any bridge...
you should even be more bothered about the fact that a single govt built 4 bridges..

mention any bridge OBJ, yar-adua and GEJ built in 16 bloody years..

what about roads,
lagos-ibadan expressway (127km), apapa-oworonshoki-ojota (27km 10 lanes concrete road), ikorodu- sagamu(30km), sagamu-benin, enugu-portharcourt, east-west, lagos- abeokuta, abuja-keffi-lafia-makurdi, abuja-kaduna-zaria-kano (375km)..these are the major construction under this govt..aside abuja-kaduna..which one again is under terrorist?

now compare this no. of major road to what OBJ, GEJ and yar adua did...aside the abuja airport road, and benin ore road..mention any major road those govt built that pass these ones of PMB..

there is no comparison OBJ, yar adua, GEJ combined no reach buhari for infrastructure ..buhari invested more into security than the 3 previous govt combined..

ordinary boko haram gave GEJ nightmares..he couldnt handle it...PMB is fighting 5 bloody terrorist ..boko haram, ISWAP, bandits, herdsmen and IPOB...so far boko-haram has been nearly obliterated.. ISWAP, bandits and IPOB are being dealt with ...and the FG is winning ..sometimes we record losses which is normal because it is a war ..the SE is safer than it used to be..no more sit of home by terrorist..

herdsmen issues were handled diplomatically through the development of ranches..

the economy today is primarily the result of the failures of previous govt especially in ending fuel imports.. this govt is dealing with that issue by support dangote in both FX and support..that was why dangote could start in 2016..plus PH refinery is under rehabilitation.. from 2023 to 2014..we should have reduced fuel imports by over 97%
PoliticsRe: Falcon Eye: Nigeria's Surveillance System Against Piracy (Pictures) by Cognitivereason:

It's not about pirate I think what he is simply saying is that this kind of surveillance and intelligence should be applied on the kidnappers, boko haran, bandits, armed herdsmen and unknown gunmen...if possible they should invest more on attack drones
there are more drones dedicated to land activities than the sea.. the issue is that.. there are way too many activities on land for this drones to be able to intelligently differentiate between friend and enemy..

one single drone deployed to the ocean will be able to quickly detect criminals..because it is the wide ocean..no one can hide any where.. the nature of the sea having a distinctive colour allows the drones to spot anything odd that is operating on it... you also cannot compare the no. of activities on the sea to that of land..most sea activities are properly licensed which aids job of finding the illegal ones

on land it is a whole different scenario..drones can survey an exact spot in the forest where bandits are hiding but will never spot them simply because it is a thick bush.. even in a wide open space.. innocent people also the operate there the same has criminals..how do you expect drones to differentiate them...

drones are very vital and important...but we have to be realistic..

When we call you people zombie and urchins, you say we re insulting you. Power generation as of then was an exclusive right of the federal government and no other entity

when Godswill Akpabio was governor..he built 190MW ibom power plant..
am not suprise they refer to some of you as Obi supporters

there is nothing completely exclusive to the FG especially in infrastructure..states governors if willing can intervene in solving national problems..If state governors can build federal roads why not power plants?

has he told us what he learnt?..he went to eygpt to do photoshoot and came back telling us how that they moved to 4000MW..is that talk?

the only two presidential candidates that has coherently been able to explain to Nigerians what the problem is and solution is Atiku and Sowore...Obi is simply giving history lessons of other countries..I will still prefer voting him though
PoliticsRe: Obi: In 24 Years, APC, PDP Couldn’t Move Power Generation From 4,000 To 5,000MW by Cognitivereason: 7:15am On Aug 15, 2022
it not about the fact that they couldnt...it about weather you will do it and how?...all you have been blabbing about is about how Eygpt increased their power supply, How south africa electricity is, how vietnam etc..how APC and PDP couldnt do anything.no body gives a damn about that now...

what you should tell Nigerians is the problem facing the power sector..break every issue down and how you as president intend to fix it...stop giving us history lessons that cannot hold water

Buhari might have failed to increase power genereation..but that is because power generation is not our major problem...the major problem is the transmission system, distribution and metering..this government has gone 10x ahead of any government in metering..this has addressed revenue issues to many extents for DisCos..this is the reason why many communities that are metered have better power than those on estimated billing..the next step is to address transmission..this is why Buhari signed the Siemen contract that killed Abba Kyari..unfortunately it failed..Obi should tell us how he intends to fix this part of the problem..

only ignorant folks believe that they will get better power if generation is increased..lol...why do you think our installed capacity is 12,000MW but we can only produce 3,000MW to 4,000MW..it is because that is what the transmission and distribution system can handle..this two systems needs to be worked on..the transmission system needs total overhaul and upgrades...it is only when you have done this can you talk about increasing generation.

so far...only Sowore and Atiku have been able to technically admit this issue and propose their solutions
Obi is only whinning himself

no one is discussing Buhari's performance..stay in the lane... the argument is about Igbo people justifying continuous support from PDP but want the same APC to give them presidency ticket and power...doesnt that sound stupid to you..

you smiled at PDP giving ticket once again to a fulani and ignoring the SE they did the same thing for more than 4 presidential elections..but your problem is APC always putting the interest of their supporters first ..yall are getting high BP for the party giving it ticket to the SW and previously to the north..but you wont comment on PDP ignoring you the SE totally in all it elections..

you are talking of the west trying to grab power..the question is..who isnt? that why they study politics and play by the rules and not by emotions like the SE..jealousy is why the igbos refers to them as fulani asslickers but deep down they want to be that same seat..the SE is not likely to win any election in the next decade..especially with what IPOB has done..today biafla, tomorrow igbo presidency, next tomorrow lefelemdum..just yesterday UGM/ESN burnt down Peter Obi campaign bus..that is something you should be more worried about than APC and Tinubu

That is the sad truth you wont admit because of emotions..but not every igbo person is shortsighted as you are...If your shocked am from the SE..toh

Looks like you are suffering from comprehension issues...

Who asked you for all this stupid explanations you are giving? Did anyone say LPG and natural gas are the same thing? The person you quoted was complaining about the government wanting to export natural gas meanwhile cooking gas(which can be gotten from the same natural gas) is still very expensive for her citizens, since we have sufficient natural gas to sell to others why can't they use it to produce more cooking gas that will go round for her citizenshuh
if you can read I understand...you will see where I boldly said LPG can be gotten from crude oil as well....Nigeria doesnt have processing plants to process our Natural gas...what we do is to flare it most times or use it to generate power and export some

there is no need building a separate plant to process natural gas to LPG....that was why i said it boldly that we will get our own LPG in sufficiency from Dangote as soon as he finishes his refinery...even our old refineries produced LPG from refining crude until subsidies killed it

building a new plant now is wasted effort..when Dangote is beyound 70% completion and can supply all the LPG we will need

Insulting you is of no use because you are not not informed. You just confirmed what I said that APC sees the Igbos as its enemy. You just mentioned how APC govt is punishing the Igbos both by infrastructure and employment... Let me ask you one question among these PDP regimes how many of them are Igbos? Non. The Igbos voted for Obasanjo a Yuroba man twice, even dashed out theirs Ojukwu, voted for Yaradua a Fulani man, GEJ an Ijaw man... But they rejected Buhari, this is not the first time they have been rejecting him since 1985 because he is a disaster. Hope you are enjoying your change. The Igbos are the only tribe in Nigeria that can't stomach injustice and disaster, Buhari is a disaster together with APC. Igbos can't support injustice, know it know truth. The only thing APC will do is to find sellouts without honour among Igbos and be using them, Joe Igbokwe and co

Olodo.. so you don't know LPG is gotten from natural gas? See who is trying to form educated lipsrsealed
common sense is your problem..read what you quoted..

LPG can be gotten by processing raw natural gas..LPG can also be gotten from refining raw crude oil...but LPG and natural gas aren't the same thing.. LPG is used for cooking, heating or as a refrigerant only...raw natural gas can be used to produce Urea fertilizer, petrochemicals, plastic raw materials, hydrogen, chemicals, generate power, heating and sometimes cooking(this is not ideal for hot climate in Nigeria..what we used to cook is Butane (LPG)..it has other industrial use as well etc

didirin

what we are exporting is raw natural gas (methane) not LPG the same way we export raw crude oil not petrol or diesel...
olodo

Nigeria will begin producing sufficient LPG from crude oil as soon as Dangote completes his refinery..

In my one line that you responded to, can you show where I mentioned anything about LNG and LPG? cheesy grin but am glad classicfrank4u has taken you to the cleaners on that.

Bro, from your map, pls what is the distance between Nigeria and Europe that you think nigeria can build pipeline from here to Europe in a jiffy? Or you think that it is that close because you are looking at a map?

From what you are saying, the pipeline hasn't gotten to Kano. So which grammar are you speaking?

Look at this..."there are plans to gather funds to finance another stretch of pipelines from kano through Niger and connect to algeria..."

"There are plans....". So the money isn't available and you are running mouth? grin grin
I responded to all your comment on that thread.

your problem is that you do not read to understand..

I clearly mentioned that Algeria already has a pipeline connected to two countries in Europe...technically we are building pipelines that will end in algeria..we then connect to the algerian pipelines that runs to Europe.. We are not building directly to Europe..

2nd bolded

the AKK pipeline project started in june 2020 and should terminate in 2023.. it is 614km..it began from ajaokuta..they have covered the whole of Kogi, abuja..they have gone half past kaduna..and will be in kano next year when the project is supposed to have been completed...there are no delays whatsoever..
note that it is a $2.8bn project financed by loans from China Exim bank

another stretch that will start from kano to algeria next year is what the FG is sourcing loans and partnership for..am pretty sure you saw the news here on nairaland some days ago where MOUs were signed between Nigeria, Niger and Algeria's petroleum ministers..that is the first step.. getting financial partners and banks is what each countries are working on as the next step because it is not a project that exclusively benefits Nigeria alone..
the enter length of the pipeline from Nigeria to algeria is 4,128km..by next year Nigeria would have built 614km..I do not have accurate data on the length of pipelines from warri to ajaokuta...but it no less than 200km.. about 3000km+ to go from kano to the Hassi R'mel field in algeria

My dear, na the same thing I just de reason
am not surprised you would reason so low..

there is an existing pipeline from warri to ajaokuta...this new pipeline connects the old ones from ajaokuta and extends it to kano..

they so far passed the route across kogi and Abuja, currently in kaduna...by the beginning of next year they would have entered kano..

once it ends at kano..there are plans to gather funds to finance another stretch of pipelines from kano through Niger and connect to algeria...Algeria already has a fully built pipeline infrastructure connected to western Europe...but Algeria cant supply sufficient Natural Gas...this is where Nigeria comes in..we are not building anything to cross the Mediterranean as you ignorantly claimed..

and please educate yourself on the difference between Natural Gas and Liquified Petroleum Gas(LPG) also known as Cooking Gas and how each of them are gotten cuz they are not the same..and Nigeria is exporting Natural Gas not cooking Gas..stop disgracing yourself online

You lies about Peter Obi can't hold water. Umahi was doing well when he was in PDP, immediately he decamped to APC he changed from ordering shop owners that they will loose their shops if they stay at home on Mondays to using Ebubeagu to terrorize the citizens to non payments of workers... Just because he entered APC, a party that sees the Igbos as their enemy. Mention one responsible Igbo leader from APC that controls respect among the Igbos? You purposely dodged Supreme Court governor, Rocha's and Co.
Betray your people and be rewarded in APC that is the mantra. It's the sole reason non of them will ever find his/her foot. And in return, people would rush to invest in refineries, and associated businesses...which would lead to imports ending. There would be some improvement in the value of the naira, (not to N1-$1 MIND!) and there would also be enough cash for other things...plus if we do it right, we can do as some other countries have done and funnel it into targeted plans to ease the strike...like increased public transport spending.
these are achievements we will see atleast a decade after subsidies have been removed.. there is no Nigerian that will respect the government if it takes that approach at the expense of their sufferings for over a decade.. mind you the value of the naira will not improve...the rate at which it depreciate will reduce and probably more supply... remember the naira is guarded by the CBN instead of it to be floated..

funny enough if we dont take that approach.. our sufferings multiply more somewhere in the future... but like I said if you can accept and bear buying fuel for N500/litre with other services and commodities increasing further...will others do?

these are the works of government officials in cooperation with oil companies... from the article...it not just a crime perpetuated by Nigerians alone, but Oil companies including the almighty Shell which has been accused of extreme amount of corruption including under reporting their oil production, Oil marketers are also involved as well as foreign countries..

If Nigeria isnt aware of such things you cant tell me where ever this shipments end up..the host countries arent aware..they also protect these loots to their advantage and stylishly discourage what ever will bring an end

There is also a much bigger scam in petroleum importation and subsidies...the day Ngozi Iweala wanted to expose this..It cost her the death of her mother...GEJ had to bow to pressure and pay the subsidies that were withheld at that time..

Corruption is deeply rooted in Nigeria..sometimes fighting it brings greater problems especially when It is not a sector government as exclusive ownership over, it is better you fix the problems that created room for corruption...in terms of petroleum importation...Dangote needs to finish his plant , same with FG and the portharcourt refinery...and subsidies has to be removed..once the prices synchronizes with our neighboring countries then ..there will be no need for any one to fake papers for petrol he didnt imports..

something synonymous can be done in the upstream sector where oil and gas is produced..No one is saying this thing do not exist..
the over 4 trillion we are spending on subsidizing fuel...if any one thinks that is the actual amount then that person is a phool..
will you now say Buhari should fight the petroleum marketers by withholding funds ..what do you think the marketers will do..

fix the problems first before you fight those who advantage of your problems and monetized it to suit themselves.. this is what Ngozi Iweala didnt do ..she ended up paying the subsidies after losing her mother..

besides this is happening in states that spits fire on APC and the FG..what are their governors doing..such thing cannot happen if there isnt something entering the state government's hand... state governments in this current decades is where the vast majority of corruptions occur because..they are the least investigated and the media pays zero attention to them obviously cuz their 36 in number..it easier to throw full weight on the FG which attracts clicks..

Yes, subsidy removal will cause some immediate and perhaps severe pains, but it's a burden we must face squarely.

You are kidding yourself...the only result you will get is inflation if you can bear it to get the actual results.....

if Nigeria is to stop borrowing today...someone with the guts has to end subsidies which cost us 4 trillion a year and channel it into something productive...in the process of doing that...petrol will shoot up to N500/litre and people will suffer more plus inflations will quadruple...
what ever peter obi channels that subsidy money to will take nothing less than 5 years till we see the fruit of it...can you bear buying fuel for N500 and all the economic woos that follows it?..

dont worry...as much as i want Obi to win..when we get there..Nigerians will now see what we will face if he truly implements his policy..

remember we dont have power...we manage 3,500MW average when we need nothing less than 40,000MW... tell me where is Obi going to see money to build new transmission lines of such capacity as well as power plant..you think say na beans.. ordinary mambila power plant which is 3000MW from planning had to be scaled down to 1000MW because of the cost...

As the first civilian governor in this 3rd republic, he allocated to himself a larger part of Lagos economy and you want him to replicate it in the country. Kindly think it through.

If Tinubu has anything to offer, he is the chieftain of the party, he supported Buhari twice, meaning he believes in Buhari, so if that's his sense of judgement. I am not a party to it.
anambra geographically can never host a sea port...go and google search what a sea port is and areas where they are built..

only ogun, edo,delta,bayelsa,akwa-ibom, calabar and rivers can host seaport...anambra can not accommodate more than a river port...which GEJ built but left it useless

I believe it won't.
it will because people think peter obi will cast some spells that will make Nigeria stop borrowing and generating more revenues...some bigger phools think...the country can generate more revenue to cater for it needs without taxing the citizens more.. they think we can stop subsidizing petrol and still keep the price constant...they think we can increase the value of naira without floating it..some dunce dont eve know the disadvantage of floating the currency..

if peter truly means well about rebuilding our economy nd not borrow..he will have no choice than to end fuel subsidy...it is that time people will bless buhari more..
