My parents keep disturbing about church,bible,evening service,evangelism. It has got to the point that I'm stressed out,angry and depressed.
I want the right to choose whether to go to church.or not or chillax at home on a sunday if I want to.
I want the right to make my choices. But they treat like a child going as far as calling me to the family room twice today to warn me!
I don't want to go to church sometimes! Yes,I've said it. I believe in prayer and I also believe in hardwork and growing steadily. One way my family use religion to bully me is to quote testimonies of people getting miracle jobs in oil companies,people flying abroad and girls getting married. So my lowly job in a school is not a 'real job' and its beneath me.
Me,I hear about the miracle jobs and I wish them well but not everybody will work in oil companies. They seem to be really unrealistic in their thinking and expectations.
I guess religion does that to you.
I am tired. Everyday,I pray to be able to get my own place and leave. I will rather soak garri in my one room in peace than eat chicken where there is no joy.

Yes it should encompass all but women have been suppressed for long and their roles limited (i dont think any unbias person can deny this). Now, there is nothing wrong with men inventing so many things, for all we know, women may not be the centre of their intentions for doing so, rather to make life easier. Like Stupedinluv has said men and women are different but not unequal, i see from your posts that you are contradicting this. If we are different and our roles not the same, why the comparison then? Men are built to work, women to nurture.

You think men do better taking care of the home, in which continent?

Calm down women are not trying to usurp you, we are not trying to beat men's inventions.

As I am now,one company is enslaving me and I know very well but I can't leave the job.if I mention the useless company name,u will know what am saying.the company is owned by a Nigerian who they say is not up to 30 years.it is into logistics selling different fake products to people...no salary, commission of #400 on deliveries which most time wont be more than one in a day and you have to travel through state to deliver don't even know what I am enjoying right now in the company..the company Is a controversial company here on nairaland.who can guess....

Before NYSC, I worked in a Cyber cafe/ Computer School where my "boss" at one time paid me #700 after three weeks... What!

Around that time, I remember trekking a distance whose transport equivalent is #150: 45 mins trekking...with a less than minimum wage sal

After NYSC, things began to change....Looking back nostalgically, I can't relate to those years of hustling and bustling. We are still in the game though...How time flies!

I got to the party it went well but coming back home I was involved in a motor accident though I survived unhurt it was this morning I started to read meanings into all this. Infact on Sunday, she told our house assistant to fetch some box of matches from the nearby shop. The house assistant was yet to come and I saw my wife cooking rice.

I asked her if she has found some matches, she said no. I don't know what came over me I was dumbfounded. How in the world did she light the gas? Without a match. I did not ask her because I am afraid to ask her. It's as if she can read my thoughts. I was planning on a silent divorce with one lawyer I did not tell her yet. She came to me and said i want to divorce her..hw did she know?

Please if I start counting all this tin it will take a whole day. Please I don't know the section to post maybe religion i don't know.

Yes we Guys keep complaining about this day in day out but we never seem to learn. When the money comes, we share the money. We spend on people who won't add any value to our lives and impress people who are just there to ruin us.

MY EXPERIENCE
There is the girl I was dating when I was I secondary school some 10years ago. I really loved this girl with all my heart (she is a nairalander and I know she would know herself once she reads this story, I don't mind). After leaving school and gaining admission into the university, we lost the vibe and only stayed casual friends. I got admission 2 years before she got admission into her own university (lautech).
Fast forward to her year of service and coincidentally she was posted to the state where I worked. Coincidentally, I got a multi-million naira contract. Life was good!
We started our relationship over again. I made sure she enjoyed my little money. We were even talking about marriage and life after her service. Then disaster struck. I entered a business agreement with a collegue and contributed all my savings into the deal. The new contract we were pursuing never come through. This girl's warm reduced immediately. Within a month she came up with the excuse of having a boy friend she was engaged to. Later learnt the guy had just gotten a good job.
Interestingly, I had a Neighbour, also a single lady who sold shoes and stuff. She was all nice to me when the money was flowing. All of a sudden she stopped asking after me.

Now I got my juice back and she is all nice again.

It is a FACT, women are calculating, they look for the greenest pasture. You got money? You got their heart.

Spend your money on your family and close guy friends, they will be there for you in your down time.

To the women, you may think you are smart, but you lose in the end. I have at least 4 ladies who think they are my girlfriends. They all abandoned their poor boyfriends to be in relationship with me. Guess what. I only use them. Can't count how many I have had in the last one year. You won't command any respect from a rich guy once he knows why you are in relationship with him. It's amazing how easily ladies with boyfriends abandon their guys for richer ones.

To my guys, you don't even have to spend. Just show you got money. They will do anything and cry at the end that you are stingy. Laugh and move on to the next gold digger

A friend is in the situation described below:

Lived in Lagos until 2006
Got married in 2005 in Owerri.
Moved wife from Owerri (she was working there) to Lagos in 2005.
Moved wife from Lagos to Holland (2006-2008). He was studying for MSc; she could not work
Moved wife from Holland to UK (2008 - 2012). Obtained his PhD while wife did some okay paying, although not so great jobs.
Moved wife from UK to Minnesota, USA (he got a job with a sponsored H1 Visa) in 2012; but wife could not work with her H4 visa
Became a Green Card holder with wife in 2014. Wife started working and settling down in Minnesota.
Then he goes for a bigger job in Pennsylvania; moves wife along to Pittsburgh in 2015. Wife took several months to get a job because she is not as educationally advanced as hubby.
Now he wants to move to Washington, DC, for even a much bigger job. Wife says ''no way. This is becoming crazy. I have a life too''. I'd rather divorce than move this time''.

What do you think he should do?
