Sentiment apart, keshi did not die in active service. FG has no legal obligation to sponsored the burial. He died when the mean man(PMB) is behind the wheels. Otherwise FG would have sponsored the burial, regardless of whether he was in active service or not. |
[quote author=Edunews post=47956073]that's true, though, and thats the reason why this injustice can also only be resolved at the Federal level. this is a publication by the aggrieved students And I can't really answer for them, but if I check properly, you would agree with me that UNN is not the one paying N10,900, the students of UNEC are the ones paying. the members and Senators are not representing UNN, nor the Federal government, they are representing these students of UNEC who Voted them. Even OAU too is a federal University, and its issue was taken to the Senate, where it was resolved. pls, when else would the student receive the dividends of democracy if not for situations like this. it is the Senate of the Federal republic of Nigeria, and not only Senate of the West. I believe they took and bold step, and obviously they must have tried other means like writing to them, etc. before this. put yourself in the student shoe before you condemn them for the sake of party[/quo If I understood you correctly, then I have to say these: 1. There is no difference between UNN and UNEC. Just that the former is Nsukka campus while the later is Enugu campus. 2. If they had written to any senator directly, they would not have failed to capture it in that write up. Am a super lion. I was on UNEC campus too. |
Can't you write and seek for redress without threat? What has party got to do with your desire for federal government intervention to the issues you raised? Remember UNN is a federal university, so should not be seen as a south east whatever as your write up suggests. Writing to any senator in Nigeria will be more effective than the rants you posted up there. |
No 17 got me cracking. Words of wisdom |
Perpetuity ![]() Ekiti state house of assembly equally shares the blame for approving such an huge indebtedness at the time. Rubber stamp legislators. |
Deen77:If GEJ was like PMB, you think the sound ministers he worked with will not do a better job relative to what obtains in this administration. GEJ had knowledgeable ministers but he could not get the best they had to offer. Everything starts with the head. That's why your head came out first on the day you were born. |
I wish PMB was younger, sophisticated and liberal. Things could not have deterolated to this level. We got it all wrong the moment a single criteria( ability to fight against corruption) was used to select him. Embezzlement of public fund is on the decline and the economy is on the decline more than proportionate. It does make sense. GEJ had better economic team but he compromised the standard due to his second term ambition. Is Nigeria not an error? |
This country is tiring. On daily basis you see reasons to migrate. |
Today is really a black Sunday. I almost crushed an okada carrying two grown girls to death in Lagos today. I swarved and flew past a wide drainage then smashed a school fence and that was it. |
It appears yaya isn't friendly. I haven't seen him associated with in this kind of outing. |
To what end is this new policy if i may ask? Put an end to the negative consequences of hawking? Or part of Lagos aesthetic design? Any policy devoid of human face, amounts to human inhumanity to man. Poor homes are invariably unaesthetic and Lagos is one poor home and you cannot force it to be beautiful. You must attain it. |
pippimp:Too much movie. Cut it down. What's your experience with crime investigation in America? People commit crimes and walk away undecteted on daily basis. The law enforcement agents there are quite advanced but people still outsmart them. |
plaetton:Wish i could give you one million likes. |
Days when primary school students, most wearing rubber sandal with Nigeria's flag standing under the sun by the sides of airport roads just to welcome the head of state or his wife. You stand and hungry but with hope of seing mr. President. Only to see tinted convoy speed off without any form of acknowlegement whatsoever. Then you go home arguing with your friends on which of the vehicles carried the president. |
Where is the location of this centenary and gulf city in Enugu? I can't belief a have been away this long. |

ted1741:You just called us all the despicable names one can think of. To me, that was equally wrong. And two wrongs they say, cannot make right. You made good points with respect to wrong interpretation of professional decorum as an invitation for sex. That was very correct but calling us names, was equally wrong within the corridors of civility. Thanks |
Was the defence cooked up? Experience shows that when one is accused of an offence one did not commit, often, one does not react vehemently in protest Though it does not apply in all cases. May be she belongs to a few who do. |
What is the naira - dollar cycle Inflow: 1. Oil export 2.reparterations from Nigeria experteraits 3.other non oil exports( agricultural products) 4.expertrates coming into the country for tourism and investments etc. Outflow: Import of goods Payments of fees in dollars abroad etc. The point is if the difference was negative naira will continue to suffer. Fact is; the economy is such that no foreign investment will be attracted and the incessant changes in government policy among other factors will continue to scare foreign investment. I see a deeper exchange rate |
Decision taking in exasperation is bound to be regretted. Labour union in Nigeria is dead. Very soon groups will stop protesting their grievances out of fear of possible backfire. This is the height of suppression. |
In all institutions in Nigeria, down to individuals, no matter how educated and exposed, whenever it comes to taking critical decisions, Tribalism and Religion become the only decision making criteria. He ordered them back to clear the road off miscreants. And that amount to taking their lives. If they were to be from your creed, would you shoot them to clear the road? That was a commemoration that could only last for 24hrs. And everybody retires to their homes and businesses but the bad elements capitalised on it to unleash their hatred on Igbo. Indeed is saddening. |
Mr President sir. May the hand of God be upon all that are happening in your administration. Nigeria! Moving in circles. History is quicker to repeat itself in Nigeria. Na wah! |
Companies have the right to hire and fire employees in line with due process. Mass retrenchment is one of the hallmarks of recession. And Nigeria economy is in recession. Oga minister. Do not bite more than you can chew. |
Jirate:Na wah!! |
That was simply a diplomatic statement. When you address such controvacial and sensitive issue, you do your best to strike a balance between what you belief in and that of others. He had finished the job the day he signed against it. |
Bottom line is, be kind to them by way of gift and facial expression. E no easy hustling under scorching sun |
See how muscular they are. Wicked men. What attracts you in an eight year old?¹) |
This very annoying. The resolutions made in that conference, were made by Nigerians. Not the government in power at the time. Why should people be pleading for its implementation. Our elder statement are either cowards or complacent. They should take over the media and compel Mr president to implement the resolutions. What we suffer today in Nigeria is a structural problem. The problems will remain until we restructure. Why are we moving in circle? Yesterday was bloody in the north, today was bloody in the east. Tomorrow north central etc. Is this a country someone will raise his children in.? Is more demoralizing when solution is no where on sight. |
We will not appreciate any document that is of no material benefit to us. We want the names of enemies of the state. You accepted what they brought. So tell us who brought them. Otherwise, keep all to yourself. |

Champions league goals: Messi = 4 Suarez =8 Neymar =3 Total = 15 Cr7 = 16 Final equation MSN + 1 = CR7 If Ronaldo = 16 Messi. = 4 Neymar=3 Suarez =8 Then 1. Messi² = Ronaldo 2. 4(Messi)=Ronaldo 3. 4(Neymar)+Messi=Ronaldo 4. 2(Suarez)=Ronaldo 5. Suarez = ½ Ronaldo 6. Messi = ¼ Ronaldo 7. Messi = log2(Ronaldo) 8. MSN + ln(e)± log 1= Ronaldo |
