I understand perfectly what Oliseh tried to do with the captaincy issue at the time he gave it to the most consistent club football Nigerian player which was Musa at the time. You can not have a captain who is a perpetual bench warmer in his club. It is not good for the morale of the team but it's OK now that Mikel is playing consistently in his club.
do you know what the word "perpetual" means?

Prof. Abioye Isaac

“Academic excellence is overrated! Did I just say that? Oh, yes, I said it.Being top of your class does not necessarily guarantee that you will be at the top of life. You could graduate as the best student in Finance but it doesn’t mean you will make more money than everybody else. The best graduating Law student does not necessarily become the best lawyer. The fact is life requires more than the ability to understand a concept, memorise it and reproduce it in an exam. School rewards people for their memory. Life rewards people for their imagination. School rewards caution, life rewards daring. School hails those who live by the rules. Life exalts those who break the rules and set new ones. So do I mean people shouldn’t study hard in school? Oh, no, you should. But don’t sacrifice every other thing on the altar of First Class. Don’t limit yourself to the classroom. Do something practical.

Take a leadership position.

Start a businessand fail. That’s a better Entrepreneurship 101.

Join or start a club.

Contest an election and lose. It will teach something Political Science 101 will not teach you.

Attend a seminar.

Read books outside the scope of your course.

Go on missions and win a soul for eternal rewards…
Do something you believe in!

Think less of becoming an excellent student but think more of becoming an excellent person. Make the world ur classroom!”

Just like the proverbial ostrich, keep burying your head in the sand, hiding from the truth.

Was it not your president that made the following statement in 2001?

“I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria, God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country,” Buhari said.
It does not matter what he thinks and wishes for himself, Nigeria and the entire muslem community. If wishes were horses, beggars would have built mansions. the fact remains that it impossible. Stop worrying yourself.

banmee:
You are living in lala land. There is no way you can work and still school in Nigeria. Not with the way the educational system is set up. One of the two will suffer. Unless of course you decide to do a part time programe. In the west, you can stay in your room and not see the inside of a university and still earn a degree. All you need is a computer and internet access. You can decide to work one year, take the next year off to work and go back to school the year after. Can you honestly do that in Nigeria? Nigeria is not equipped to support work and school effectively. Not to mention that in the area of internet services and accessibility, Nigeria is still disgracefully behind a lot of countries. You need affordable and available internet support to make work/school possible. Nigeria is not ready for it.
You made a valid point. the design of academic programs in Nigeria is outdated. it products are not relevant in this present day information age. You leave school and you are thrown off balance. Nigeria needs to overhaul the current design to bring it at par with realities on ground while she creates room for continuous improvement.

sweetgala:
Really, I'd advise you cut off your tentacles cause they ain't feeling anything.

The prime reason Nnamdi Kanu otherwise regional support has expanded so greatly was because of the defeat the SE majority suffered at the polls over a year ago. Suddenly many indifferent Igbo decided they were being marginalized in a APC government they had little representation in at the party level.

Please stop trying we are not deceived, If some SE fellows wan biafra they should compel their elected representatives to being their case to the right body to deliberate such an issue, the senate !, otherwise they can elect those who will come 2019.

The president does not have the constitutional authority to break a certain part of Nigeria up, does not have the power to enforce Federalism, does not have the constitutional power to declare a referendum, all that is under the purview of the NASS

Any IPOB member who wants Biafra has a representative in the NASS, you know where their constituency office is, do what is truly necessary.

The Nigerian state has every right under all international laws, to see any violent uprising which does not seek the above path as a national security threat that can be put down with military force.
you are very correct.

As an Igbo man, the approach to achieving Biafra will never achieve the desired result. Our politicians (Igbo politicians) must be
on the vanguard, while IPOB/MASSOB should follow. Only then will i support the agitation.

PoliticsBREAKING NEWS: Patience Joanthan ARRESTED On The Order Of Buhari by collinsVP(op): 11:02pm On Mar 06, 2016
We can confirm this afternoon that Dame Patience Jonathan has been arrested in the United States on orders of President Muhammadu Buhari for gross misconduct and misappropriation of State Funds. The News was broken by a close aide of the former First Lady who pleaded anonymity. The embattled First Lady was picked up at the JFK International Airport in New York by Men of a Special Unit of the DSS attached to the Nigerian Embassy in USA.

According to her aide “President Jonathan is covered by immunity but Mama Peace isn’t. So the way I see it, she might pay for all her husband’s misgivings”. Dame Patienece was arrested without offering any resistance, however she had this ti say

“The wucked ones have come for me but their plans will fail. Aisha, God is seeing you. Sai Baba, God is seeing you. There is God in heaven. He will release me because I am innocent”.

President Jonathan has declined to comment

SportsMikel: Hiddink Has Made Chelsea Players Relaxed by collinsVP(op): 11:20am On Feb 27, 2016
John Obi Mikel has hailed Guus Hiddink's return to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea’s interim manager, as the Blues look to extend their 10-match unbeaten BPL run when they visit Southampton.

Hiddink has led Chelsea to a significant improvement in form since succeeding Jose Mourinho, with a 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie their only loss since his appointment until the end of the season.

"The players feel more relaxed, people know what their jobs are and people are getting on with their jobs in a more relaxed way," Mikel said.

"He has given responsibility to people and expects them to thrive on it and make sure they do it in way where they feel comfortable. I think that is what the players are showing now."

Let me explain if you lose ur job and cant buy food, polish ur shoes, sew ur cloths make/barb ur hair etc have those ppl doing those things not lost thier job with you? For instance we hear women complain of lack of husbands is it that there are no more men? no it means the men have no jobs to sustain marriage and so they put marriage on hold. Next is that hoteliers will complain that no one books thier halls and some workers are affected again. It goes on and on
That's the ripple effect. So sad.

Christianity EtcRe: Catholic Bishops Attack Father Mbaka For Anti-jonathan Prophecies. by collinsVP: 1:44pm On Feb 15, 2016
lastpage:
One of the reasons given by the Catholic heirachy and those in favor of discipling Fr. Mbaka is that "their church does not interfere in politics and their pastors should be apolitical, hence the need to sanction Fr. Mabaka.
This is utter rubbish!

God, throughout the Bible, uses Prophet to pass messages to "Political Rulers and Kings".
As a matter of fact, prophets like Samuel, were "king makers" who selected King Saul, King David, e.t.c
These Prophets were also used to admonish "political rulers", like when King David coveted the wife of Uriah and Prophet Natan was sent to him, to admonish him, deliver God's judgement to him (just like Fr. Mbaka delivered God's judgement to Ex-President Jonathan).

So, it is a blatant lie and hypocrisy, to say men of God cannot "intervene" in politics or deliver God's revelation to the political leaders.
Interestingly, if you read the statement of another priest, bishop Onaiyekan, (quoted above) who has been the Bishop of Abuja dioceses since the days of Obasanjo's Presidency, almost 16years ago, one would see that he was doing exactly the same thing that the Catholic heirachy is using as an "excuse", to sanction Fr. Mbaka! ...... dabbling into political terrain, advising Govt and asking the church to "partner' with the Govt to ensure a better country!
Will they now transfer Bishop Onaiyekan to a "smaller parish"? will they uproot him suddenly from his parish, on the excuse that "transfer is a normal routine"? I guess they wont! I guess they cant shocked shocked

Every reason they have tried to put forward, to justify their "human failings", since it is obvious majority of them want President Jonathan to rule for another 4years, irrespective of his performance level .....("na our Brother syndrome"wink and a minority of them are just simply jealous of the "public love and reverence" that Fr. Mbaka now enjoys, through no fault of his own (maybe they should blame God that chose to give Fr. Mbaka the prophecy and not people like bishop Ajakaiye!) ..... has fallen flat on its face and shown that afterall, these catholic Bishops/priests are "Humans and Nigerians", partisan like everyone of us and subjected to the same human emotions and failings! grin grin

The heirachy of the Catholic Church in Nigeria should do the honorable thing: Apologize to Fr. Mbaka as a sign of meekness and respect to the holy spirit, put him back in his station and pray that God continues to use "one of them" to move is ministry forward.

But then, Pride is one of the "cardinal sins" of temporal beings and l am sure, like King Pharaoh, the catholic heirachy cannot and may not be able to humble itself to doing what is right is the sight of God.

But let them make no mistake about it, God is able to preserve its own, even if Fr. Mabka were de-robed today, it does not mean the end of his Ministry or God's association with him.....rather the beginning of greatre things to come.

Your observations are correct.
Most Nigerians suffer from mental slavery, hate, bigotry and narrow mindedness. most of us do not have a clear picture of what we say, especially when it has to do with people we do not like.

After the prophesy and before the election, Bishop of Abuja Arch Diocese, John Onaiyekan issued a statement that said, "if Mbaka was to be under my Diocese, i will sanction him".

Compare Mbaka reasons for kicking against Goodluck and what John Onaiyekan said here-Speaking earlier at the sermon, during the opening mass, Bishop of Abuja Arch Diocese, John Onaiyekan, said Nigerians have a right to be angry at the ‘criminal corruption,’ which led to diversion of funds meant for the purchase of arms, stressing that it is the hope of all well meaning Nigerians that such fraudulent acts are now a thing of the past.
“Our gallant troops must never again be left with inadequate resources to carry out the dangerous acts imposed on them on our behalf,” he said.
Mr. Onaiyekan called on the current administration to keep up its legal efforts to thoroughly investigate the crimes of the past, transparently prosecute accused persons and hold the guilty accountable according to the law.
He reiterated his earlier call for collaboration with the church and religious bodies in the effort to bring about a transformation of minds and action by Nigerians.
As part of its annual practice, Mr. Onaiyekan said the CBCN will make suggestions at the end of its session on January 17, on ways to move the nation forward.

You will agree with me that he displayed high level of sycophancy before the election to buy favour from the then president and today, he dances to the tone of the current president for whatever reason known to him.
