bin gbagbo: once again, Ghana remains the only African team left. You are yet to play your match, when you cross this round, we can come to that conclusion. |
Enangson: and you think that is the best solution. The experience Names on the NFF list will include: Osaze, Yobo, Taye, Martins, Uche, Shittu, Obodo, Kaita, Yakubu, etc.hahaha, isn't that what most Nairalanders are asking for? Complete failure of a team. |
Boneda: My point is dat keshi needs to have a plan b in place for everything he is doing, emenike and moses are quality players and their return will be a big boost, but what if....they are still match rusty or d injury still reoccures. He didnt have dat in mind dat was why he could not get a replacement for onazi at confed. Same with egwuekwe at afcon who both went d tournament injured.Yes the issue of Keshi taking injured players to tournaments has to stop, we should have our FULLY fit 23 man squad next time. As for the strikers, who do you think should be in plan B? Please don't mention anyone who has been tried and failed. |
joseph1013: Beats me the way you guys treat these guys as though they are doing the country a favour by playing.very horrible! With all our strikers fit, he'll be 3rd choice at best. |
John Obuh should be sacked before they even come home! Gone are the days when Nigerian coaches can blame lack of preparation for bad performances in competitions. They've been in camp since like forever and participated at the Toulon tournament where they should have noticed their lapses and correct. Obuh has no excuse for failure, he should be sacked and never recycled. He should not come anywhere close to any of our teams again. There was no positive from this team, no player to invite to the senior team, no player to be signed by a good club where he can at least improve. No positive whatsoever. Winning under age tournaments is not a must, with that in mind, if the players showed promise that would have landed them good clubs it would have been better, but nothing at all! |
These guys lack all the basic skills a footballer need, simple ball control they don't have. I know 50 year old men who train close to my house and they have better ball control than these players. Passing is another problem. How can you have a team mate 5 metres in front of you and still give a wrong pass? They were guilty of it throughout the competition. I am better than many of the guys in this team, all I need is to get my fitness to a maximum level. I am not a professional footballer but I can never give the kind of misplaced passes I saw from these guys, I can never fail to control a simple pass given to me when am unchallenged. Never! The fact that some of them are in U20 world cup for the second time shows how poor they are. No player should play the same age grade competition twice. |
pazienza: How about giving siasia another chance to prove himself again to Nigerians. Sack useless Obuh, bring in siasia.Sia Sia failed woefully in Egypt 2009 which Gayna won. Forget him |
Time for all out attack, even the keeper should join. |
Is this keeper a converted defender? |
stechi: Flying eagles are really making my night with a splendid display of quality football.Bros don't exaggerate. |
Agent8706: has anyone noticed that our defenders have been trying ryt 4m d begining?Yes the defenders are good. |
That kond of goal is very good at demoralizing the opponents, just like what Forlan's goal did to us at the Confed cup. They should make use of the advantage. |
thegoodjoehunt: He is a good.player but he will never be in the class of Suso or Oliver Torres of Spain. We need to take scouting seriously and find gems like Kanu and Finidi. How did you come to that conclusion? Pessimist |
Very evil goal from Kayode, what a shot!!! The winning goal will still come from an Ibo guy as I said earlier. |
Banku&Tilapia:Illiterate. |
Banku&Tilapia:God punish your bleaching President and wife. |
We'll still win this match, the goal wll be scored by an Ibo guy. Up Nigeria!! |
Garri_Activist: Someone should please tell silverbird tv to broadcast di dayum game.... Abi na crime not to have dstv? Fuuuckkin place called a country! Abi na Tinsel I waan chop? So mi haffi spend money fi watch mi national team play world cup fi dat matter! Fire burn dem babylonians!!NTA dey show am na! |
abdulkayus: u are a bigot. Wat has tribe got to do wit football playin? Wen ideye was playin rubbish, who abuse his tribe?I was the one who liked your comment, I love how you used the 3 major Nigerian languages to insult me. |
I am not known for tribalic posts on Nairaland, but I have to say this, no Igbos no football in Nigeria. |
Too much Hausa boys made this team to lack coordination. No brains |
But why is Hausa guys always guilty of such tackles in our team? |
Never a red card! |
kingthreat: Pastor Taribo, please did you lie that you were 28 when you were 40 years old in order to keep playing football in that club? Better come and tell the truth, we'll understand why you did it. Else like many others, we'll see you as a controversial Man of God.what if there is no truth to tell? How many people can play football at 40? Get real |
I don't even fancy that Anichebe guy too much. If goal scoring is our problem Anichebe isn't much of a soulution if we go by his records for club and country. 1 goal in 11 Appearances for Nigeria, 18 goals in 130 appearances for Everton. Our best goal scorer was IK uche but it seems like he lost his hunger somewhere, I don't really know what his problem is. While Keshi is calling Anichebe he should also call Ezekiel Imoh please. As the saying goes, if you are good enough, you are old enough. Messi was already world's best at Ezekiel's age so his age shouldn't be a problem. We sould be looking forward as Keshi said. |
