How can a governor post pictures of children in one of the several dilapidated schools in the state he governs waving at him as an achievement?

Aregbesola is busy posting pictures of people waving at him as a sign of his popularity.
All I see is
Poverty

Poverty

Poverty

And more poverty

Politics / Re: APC Suggests New Counter-terrorism Strategy by collynzo2(m): 11:58am On Jul 23, 2014
The APC said what was needed to effectively tackle the Boko Haram menace in the country was to embark on a new initiative that would put children back to school, give the youths life-enhancing training and
put the army of unemployed beyond the reach of the extremists.
Another of the poorly thought out statements we have come to expect from APC.
These are policies that will take years before we start seeing results, by the way what exactly could that ''new initiative'' be? While the children are being sent back to school (if they agree to) what will the government do to ensure those schools are protected from Boko haram attacks? Isn't it the same military offensive with weapons?
Since they are policies that will take time to yield results, will the APC refrain itself from lambasting the govt for every single boko haram attack that takes place while the scheme is being implemented? I don't think so
APC has previously declared through several of its members that insurgency will end ''once they take over power'', is it these same measures that they will use to bring an immediate end to insurgency? Hell no!
''Talking of new and imaginative thinking, it is generally agreed that the root causes of the Boko Haram crisis are deep in the years of bad governance that have created an army of unemployed youth in the North-east, which is the epicentre of the crisis; the years of bad governance that have meant many that
millions of youth are uneducated and unemployable; and the years of bad governance that have resulted in dilapidated infrastructure, lack of social amenities, inadequate schools and a total disconnect between the government and the governed," the statement said.
They know the problem has been due to years of bad governance (by northerners), so why do they expect Jonathan to solve it in a day?

Aregbesola was busy jubiliating and gyrating in the midst of poverty. It shows that he is very much comfortable with the status quo.

Compared with that of the incoming governor Omisore who was very sober in the midst of poverty. You can see disgust and anger in his face, he is surely going to do everything within his power to alleviate the people from poverty.
First step will be to burn down those slums (entire Osun) and start all over again.

We all know boko haram has anti-aircraft weapons, they shut down the NAF plane that crashed in Bama and will shoot down more if they aren't careful.

thegoodjoehunt3: The website only contains list of players that have full professional contracts with the club. Nacho (Iheanacho) and Bruno Zuculini do not have full contracts yet. So they are not listed on mcfc website.
Iheanacho will sign his professional contract when he turns 18 by October.

What lies? Why will they arrest her just to release her immediately and allow her to fly out? Does it make sense?
The whole shît is obviously a publicity stunt from an attention seeking liar desperate to tarnish the image of the government.

God punish anyone who compares Mikel and Iheanacho again!
Mikel never scored the kind of goals or got the kind of assists Iheanacho got at U17. I can't even remeber Mikel scoring at U17 or U20 level except for a penalty

jobsat34: [s]i read most comment about iheanacho, i guess yu pple are expecting too much frm this guy, forgettin he is just 18.. he still has like 2 yrs of extensive training to psych him up to become are starlet and then pro.. for now, he is just a prospect like every other kid out there..
mind you, dont expect him to break through like raheem sterling cos iheanacho is not english. no coach would take such risk or let me say, no top team coach will.

i think i like his choice of mancity. talents from big club are usually a target for other teams with low budget. at 20, he can easily get his move to porto fc (whether on loan or co ownership) and design his own fate from there..

Mikel should have done the same thing at chelsea but he choose to stay and allow himself to be converted just to please the coach..

perseverance is the key word, it works for falcao at porto, diego costa at athletico madrid, it can equally work for him too..[/s]
Absolute trash!

Yeah, I just said rare, even you the famous madcow can't deny how your people run the illicit underworld business everywhere. 9 in every 10.
The only thing rare about this crime is that it made Nairaland front page, we know how threads like these are hidden in the crimes section while those of other tribes esp Igbos are quickly moved to front page.
Yorubas even broke a record by being the first Nigerian tribe to take kidnapping abroad but such a news worthy thread didn't make front page.
