jaytee01: Absolute nonsense too!
How many of the thrash you posted here has not occurred under the present govt? I thought the topic was about Buhari? Why tell us the policies he implemented without explaining to us whether those policies made Nigeria better or worse. Typical Buharists, always deflecting away from the topic when the truth about the coup master is told. |

Ask him what were the effects of all those Buhari policies up there. Did he create more jobs? No, the opposite was the case. Did the economy get better? No, it got worse. So what eye opener? |

Absolute nonsense. What was the result of all the long tripe you wrote up there? Employment: Thousands of civil servants were sacked by Buhari, thousands more lost their jobs in the private sector as companies were folding due to Buhari's policies.
Economy: Inflation was at an all time high, prices of goods were rising astronomically, people were queuing for basic food stuffs like they queued for petrol under OBJ.
Human rights: Nigerians lost their right to free speech and movements, people were living like prisoners.
He made sure most things were worse than he met them before cowardly handing over power to Babangida. |

eaglechild: Beautiful decorations at government house/rockview round about.
Also something similar at heroes' square.
I wish Rochas can invest more on street-lighting.
The quality of street lights in Owerri is poor in terms of intensity and many major roads are not lit at all or functioning.
Street lights help tremendously in terms of security and night life and invariably the economy of the state. You are right on the street lights. Most of them produce white instead of the usual yellow lights, I have no problem with white lights infact I prefer them, but the ones Rochas uses are so dim you wonder what difference they make. |

Why do people change phones, clothes, cars, work etc? Probably because they want fresh air,new experience etc.
I just wonder why we that call ourselves giant of Africa cannot take a bold steps when it comes to CHANGE
So my good people, I'm not here or on a sponsorship by anybody to campaign for Buhari but to let you know that change is the only constant thing in the world.
If we can endure for the past 16years of the rain of pdp I think 4 years is not too much in the hands of Buhari.
Spread this news across.
And all we are saying is; we want CHANGE
Thank you all.
Over to you all. So if you change your cloth or phone, yo will go and pick up the ones you dumped in the 80's? What is fresh about that? Under Buhari, there was no freedom of speech or movement, people lost jobs in the public and private sectors, inflation was at an all time high, prices of goods were soaring. Is that the kind of change you want? |

berem: Collins, stop your ignorance and face reality. Igbos have always been the greatest casualities when there is an uproar in the north. In all the past riots and mayhem that has happened, how many times have you heard of a reprisal attack in the east when Igbos are being slaughtered in the north? Even the biafran war is a perfect example. Igbos must not be made to be sacrificial lambs just because an Ijaw man is being hated by the northerners. Jonathan will not fight for you when it starts o! Shut up, there are always reprisal attacks in the east, but how would you even know when you are no where near Igbo land? The social media will only hlep the message spread fast this time around. I thought you said it ie easier for Hausas to flee the east, I asked you how oly for you to come up with this trash. So if Jonathan is being hated by northerners, we shouldn't vote for him right? Madam minister of Igbo affairs, you were very much on Nairaland when you Yoruba brothers were using boko haram attacks to taunt Igbos as being suyanized, sacrificed etc. What did you say or do about it? Please keep your useless hypocrisy to yourself. |

nigerianvenom: mention one divisive statement GEJ made.? just mention one. why are guys full of propaganda? when buhari said that any attack on d boko haram is an attack on d north, didnt u read it? what crime has gej comnitted?is it a crime to hail from a minority tribe? why are u people so sentimental? u re saying gej has done nothing but u benefitted from gej increment of over 100% in d amount paid to corp members. u've benefitted from the rail ways across d sw,yet u cant acknowledge it because the northerners and oligarchies have made it looks as if he has done nothing They cannot. They will only mention statements made by others, meanwhile notherners like Buhari, Junaid Mohammed, Nyako etc have said far worse things. |

Posts like this will only win more Igbos on Jonathan's side, we will support him and there is nothing anyone can do about it. One thing you Yoruba guys don't know is that there are many Hausas in the east and they continue to troop in because of the insecurity in the north. If you head to some parts of Aba and Owerri now, you would think you are in Kano, okada business in the outskirts of Owerri has been completely taken over by them. Ikengawo: with the volume of threats that Buhari supporters are sending to people and openly preaching in the street, it will be FAR worst.
I made this thread because I have realized the north doesn't have the resources, numbers or popularity to actually win a fair and free election. So they have to resort to scaring people into giving them power by force. In the past they can just do coup after coup and I don't doubt that coups have been attempted in GEJ's administration (remember the upheaval in Abuja by troops this summer?).
This is all they have left. Telling people that if you down concede to them you will die. If you come out to vote you will die. If you don't enforce Sharia, you will die. Everything is a death threat. The blood of the dogs and the baboons, killing and butchering. This is all they have left and it's the mark of a desperate people.
All they have done is make voting in the north for christian and muslims a suicidal exercise. My guy you have nothing to worry about, I keep saying that the election will be FULLY militarised this time around, even those fighting boko haram might be withdrawn to secure polling booths. Only those who have evil plans lament against the deployment of soldiers during elections. Police have failed us in the past, but the soldiers and policemen combination in recent elections have proven to be a success, PDP only won one out of the four so the thought of intimidation is non-existent. People will vote who they want in 2015 and anyone who tries to harass them will be shot dead, it won't be like 2011. |
