No mind them, they are too emotional to notice the key words: Multimedia broadcast to AriseTv, which was aired in Nigeria, particularly Abuja; to me that inferred the statement was made in Australia not in Nigeria.

More importantly, if Ihejirika wants to be taken seriously he should also have joined the American Government in the suit, who through its Ambassador wanted him probed for embezzlement of billions of naira it alleged he diverted from military funds meant to fight Boko Haram.

Ihejirika who arguably one of the wealthiest retired Generals allegedly pocketed billions of naira meant for the Army.
According to our source, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle raised the issue when he met recently with President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja. Ambassador Entwisle at the meeting at the Presidential Villa, said the U.S is particularly concerned about the sudden riches of Ihejirika........
The US Ambassador told Jonathan that the Americans who were in Nigeria to assist in the fight against insurgents were shocked to find out that what was on ground did not match the billions allocated under Ihejirika’s watch.

Mumu, we are talking about a case where a known man boldly and repeatedly mentioned Ihejirika as a boko haram sponsor, you are asking why he didn't sue a faceless blog for gossip. Didn't you read where they wrote ''according to our source'' there? What will be Ihejirika's proof that the American ambassador actually made such an allegation?
If you want him to sue the American government, then you should get them to come out and openly accuse him of embezzling money instead of formulating fake stories.

Please do not insult Mr Chukwuma the Innoson guy by attributing his achievement to any Nigerian government policy. Even a simple gesture of using Innoson SUV cars as official car especially when abroad, can Jonathan do that?

Innoson has been around for God knows how many years, planning, hardworking even when Jonathan was still a school teacher. So what you are seeing now is not one of Jonathan's or OBJ'd overnight rich people but product of many years of hardwork and visionary business plan.
Maybe you should ask the man to stop insulting himself.
Innoson consistently attributes his recent success to the good policies of Jonathan's government, he never ceases to do that in interviews.

That is the core of the matter.
More industries and more commercial activities creates more jobs.

This is unlike Buhari, who in his short stint sacked thousands of civil servants and enforced policies that made private companies to close down making those in the private sector to also lose jobs.

PoliticsGeneral Ihejirika Sues Stephen Davies For N100 Billion by Collynzo22(op): 7:19pm On Dec 22, 2014
A former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, has instituted a N100bn libel suit against a self-styled Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davies, for accusing him (Ihejirika) of sponsoring the Boko Haram insurgent group.

Ihejirika filed the suit before a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja.

He is through his team of lawyers, comprising, Chief Nnoruka Udechukwu (SAN), Prof. C.U. Ilegbune, (SAN) and Ben Anechebe (SAN), seeking N100bn as aggravated damages for defamation. The plaintiff’s lawyers said their client has suffered grievous wrong and he has been exposed to scandal, odium, ridicule, humiliation and his character, credit and reputation brought into disrepute, both in Nigeria and abroad.

He had obtained an order of court to serve the process on the defendant abroad.

His lawyers have also on the strength of the court order applied to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enable them to serve Davis who lives on Perth, Australia.

Australia and Nigeria are members of the Commonwealth and a special procedure applies when serving court processes on defendant.

Ihejirika is also seeking an order of perpetual injunction restraining Davis or his agents from
further making defamatory comments about him.

He also seeks an order compelling the defendant to publish a dull and unqualified retraction and apology conspicuously in the front page of a newspaper to assuage the plaintiff for the said false malicious and libelous publication.

Ihejirika said that he retired meritoriously from the military after a successful career and that he served the army without blemish.

He stated, “On or about the 28th day of August 2014, the defendant granted a multimedia and
television interview broadcast to AriseTv, which aired in Nigeria, particularly in Abuja, and subsequently published by numerous newspapers and media houses; wherein the defendant when asked during the AriseNews segment of the interview to name the sponsors of the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria, falsely and maliciously spoke of the plaintiff in the following words, to wit:

‘There is the former Chief of Army Staff, retired January, or actually sacked by the President he is another sponsor. I could give you the names if you like but I have no fear that these were very confident and it is in fact Boko Haram senior commanders who have been naming them.”

He said that the spoken words and publication in their ordinary meaning were understood by
reasonable members of the society who listened or watched the said AriseNews broadcast in Abuja to Mean that he sponsored Boko Haram, a terrorist sect to wage war, insurrection or insurgency against Nigeria. He also said that the publication implied that he did not retire but was sacked by the President and that he had committed treason or treason able felony.

Ihejirika said the public who listened to the broadcast believed that he had conducted himself in a manner tantamount to breach of his oath of allegiance and service as a soldier and senior officer in the Nigerian Army.

In an affidavit he deposed to, Ihejirika said he had suffered grievous wrong and had been exposed to scandal, odium, ridicule, humiliation and that his character, credit and reputation brought into disrepute, both in Nigeria and abroad.

What exactly is the point of the 1 naira subsidy?
They should remove the damn thing entirely.
Paying one nairal less for a litre petrol doesn't improve anyone's life, but when calculated the total amount paid for subsidy still runs into billions.
GEJ AND OkONJO IWEALA shouldn't disappoint us, the billions spent on subsidy should be used for infrastructural projects.

PoliticsPetrol Landing Cost Now Below Pump Price by Collynzo22(op): 1:35pm On Dec 22, 2014
Against the backdrop of the fall in global oil prices, the landing cost of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, has dropped to N82.57 per litre as of Thursday, December 18, from N127.57 on November 3. The Federal Government’s spending on petrol subsidy has, therefore, fallen to a five-year low of N1.06 per litre as of that, compared to N44.94 on November 3, according to data obtained from the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency. Subsidy refers to the money paid, usually by government, to keep prices below what they will otherwise be in a free market system. For instance, the Expected Open Market Price (retail price) of petrol is N98.06 per litre as of December 18, but the regulated price is N97. The difference is subsidy. As of November 3, the retail price of petrol was N141.94 per litre, according to the PPPRA. Nigeria, Africa’s top oil producer, relies on importation for most of its fuel needs as the country’s refineries are in a poor state. The fall in oil price has triggered the decline in the landing cost of
petrol. There have been calls in some quarters on the government to reduce the pump price of refined petroleum products as the price of crude oil, which constitutes a major component in the pricing template, have plunged by more than 45 per cent. Global benchmark Brent crude has lost almost half of its value since its mid-June spike of $115 per barrel, hovering around $61 on Sunday. It recently fell below $60 before rebounding last week. An executive in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, who pleaded anonymity, gave an indication as to why there had not been a reduction
in the pump price of petrol in the country. The executive explained, “Reduction of the pump price of petrol doesn’t happen like that because we don’t know how long this fall in oil prices will be. We had the same situation in late 2008 and early 2009. Oil price fell and we had over-recovery (a situation whereby the total cost is lower than the regulated price). “So, the government went ahead to reduce the pump price of petrol to N65 from N70. The following day, we started having subsidy again because the oil price started increasing. By April of that year, the price had reached N140. So, the market is such that we don’t know what can happen next.” The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Mr. Bismarck Rewane, had in November, when the oil price was still above $80, said that subsidy on refined petroleum products would decline from N2tn by almost 30 per cent. According to energy specialist at Ecobank, Mr. Dolapo Oni, the weakening of the naira by low oil prices has moderated the gain from the 45 per cent decline in prices. “While the spot price of West African grade gasoline (which is much lower than typical premium gasoline blends in Europe) has fallen by about 50 per cent, the increase in value of the dollar has limited the gains for Nigerian importers,” Oni said two weeks ago.

Rochas will be kicked out not because he joined APC, but because he has performed below expectations and there is a better candidate in the person of Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho.
1) Rochas has failed in the area of attracting investments to the state, most Imo youths still head outside the state to look for job. (one area will believe Captain Iheanacho who is a proven industrialist can improve on)
2)Rochas has failed in the area of environmental sanitation and waste management.
3)Most of the rural roads in Imo are still in terrible condition
4)Many of the government schools are still dilapidated
5)Finally, his actions and comments have proven that he isn't interested in governing the state, he just wants to pass time till 2019.
Imolites will not accept that.
