Blackking98: Ah why are you lying After igbos and hausa, Akwa ibomites are the most travelled group in Nigeria. So many of us don't live in Akwa ibom, infact they used to say for everyone one Akwa ibomite u see in Akwa ibom, there are two more outside the state. . I'm an example. that became a new occurrence due to the hardship they suffered under the eastern region forcing them to look for economic relief outside, BTW we are not known to SETTLE in other people's land. Check most of them out, when they are done with city life, it doesn't take a blink before they start returning home. You wonder why Uyo is getting filled up these days, even those working in Ph are rushing to build houses in uyo. |

AmuDimpka: . OP is stupid...trust me , the ibibio came from Cameroons and Ghana ...they settled somewherere between Efik and Aro...the Aro with their Igbo fighters ..the machineries came , fought them, enslaved them and chased them out to their present location...that was then but today
Ibibio and Ibo are best of friends and they are more of cousins and in-laws today They never enslaved them, the way Igbo language is with different dialects, is the same with Ibibio but the whole see themselves an igbo. That was quite different in Ibibio, there is even a proverb that Ibibio doesn't recognise its own, that's why the oron and annang, even if they are from the Ibibio always see themselves to an extent different. The Igbo's came to arochukwu as usual to do business, they saw there was rivalry between step sons and used that opportunity to take over the place with the cooperation of the rivalling step son, some of the Ibibio people stayed back and others left. You guys are known for land grabbing, even the people claiming Igbo in Akwa Ibom are settlers, the entire azumini river was Ibibio land, if not for the creation of Nigeria, the entire Akwa Ibom would have been Igbo land, they would come as traders and later start fighting for power. It was the same style Jaja used to collect territories. It's so funny today that Bonny that was a popular trade place for the british and was known for enslaving Igbo people is today being claimed as an Igbo land. You guys could be so funny. same with Igala land. |

MetaPhysical: Maybe the OP doesnt know history. This is first time ive heard such nonsense about Ibibio owning Igboland.
But it shouldn't surprise annybody though. Is this not the same game you Ibos play when you lay claim to other peoples ancestral land and claim it to be yours? It's not nonsense, it's the truth. A large part of Abia State were Ibibio land. your ancestors came as traders and begged to settle. the history is there and not hidden. |

AmuDimpka: Is it ibibio people that migrated from Cameroon and Ghana.... Are they stupid that they don't know their ancestral land
Aro and Igbo warriors fought them, enslaved them and chased the remaining ones to the fringes who gave you that distorted history that we migrated from there? the truth you Igbos are hard to face is that you are truly not an ethnicity save for the Imo people. you're mostly a mash up of different ethnicities combined. that's why you don't have a uniform culture. |

It gave you the avenue, which you've been looking to call out Igbos, immediately. My elder brothers are happily married to akwa ladies, with wonderful kids,, If in the future their name hits the headline with good reason and some tried to recognize the two ethnic group due to the name combination, it means Igbos are dragging akwa ibom and SS. What does and average akwa ibomite have that Igbos are lacking or is not akwa iboms that are known to be living in slums and Batcher houses and doing menial jobs in Portharcout again? Which their girls are very cheap to bleep in Portharcout? You guys should stop this madness of calling out Igbos at every slightest opportunity. You guys should go and sit down pls. which tribe in Nigeria can match Igbo girls when it comes to prostitution I ask? |

RedboneSmith: While it is quite true that some border Igbo communities were formerly "Ibibioid", some of what you wrote is just plain ridiculous.
Why on earth would an ethnic grouping be called feather? You think because a word means something in YOUR language it must mean that same thing everywhere you see it?
Can I claim that Eko (Lagos) is Igbo because Eko means bellows in Igbo? Can I claim that Ikenne in Ogun state is Igbo because Ikenne means strength of the mother in Igbo?
Aba is a name that is found widely dispersed in Igboland in compound forms: Abateete (Aba Teghete, i.e., Nine Abas), Abakiliki (Aba Nkaleke, i.e., the Aba belonging to the Nkaleke clan) etc, and seems to be an archaic word that denotes settlement.
And by the way, YES, there are a few Igbo villages belonging to the Ndoki sub-ethnic group in Akwa Ibom State. They are not Igbo villages, they came in as settlers, don't distort the truth. |

dont draw Your conclusion from Ipob dat have been Rejected by Well meaning Igbos
Nigeria is One and we can inter marry anytime anyday twice on a Tuesday because the Igbo's came and settled in those areas, after some time, in their usual way, they displaced the original owners of the land, but couldn't push away their culture, so assimilation occurred. |

who has had an online experience with the company called betbiga? They have beautiful offices in uyo that would raise your confidence level on them, but after I won two days back, they've been acting funny to process my withdrawal. You are made to first undergo verification before your first withdrawal, I sent my voters card to their K.Y.C mail address to that effect and for the past two days, they have been claiming they've not seen the mail.
Suspicious of their antics, I then went online to inquire and found man complaints of similar line.

pazienza: Above is what Saro Wiwa, an Ogoni man called Ndokis in Rivers state.
Ogonis are Ndokis. and Ijaws neighbors, and so know who is who.
And to make matters worst, Ndoki land has no border with Ijawland,
Ndokiland is separated by Imo river from Bonny and Opobo, both of which are traditionally Igbo lands. Bonny was a successful land before the outside world even heard about the Igbos. |
Politics › Re: Tonyebarcanista Is A Dullard, We Ndoki In Rivers Will Never Be Ijaws. by comfokon: 6:09pm On Nov 13, 2020 |
pazienza: Lol! Even the Ndoki that were balkanized into Akwa Ibom still hold tight to their Igbo identity, and are seeking to re unite with their kin and Kith in Abia.
Even Akwa-ibom government recognize them as Igbos.
But the land grabbing Ijawman will tag a people who call God Chukwu, Chineke, and not Tamuno Ijaw.
You think these Ndoki people are like Igboids that you play those silly games of you are not Igbo with. They will chew and spit you out if you bring your Ijaw expansionism plan to their lands, ask Ogonis what happened at Okoloma. My dear, don't turn history upside down, it is a known fact that part of Abia was traditionally an Ibibio land. The igbo's you see in Akwa Ibom are settlers, they are not indigenous. |

pazienza: Lol! Ijawcitizen was so battered and slaughtered in that thread.
Infact, it turned out that the founders of Bonny and Opobo were Ndoki Igbos.
So, in essence, Opobo and Bonny via Ndoki land is Igboland. It was the Igbos who were Ndoki Igbos in that founded Bonny and Opobo, but since the minority Ijaws in Opobo now claim Opobo, they get deluded when Ndokis speak of being related to Opobo, thinking Ndokis speak of Ibanis, not knowing that Ndokis speak of Original Ndoki Igbo inhabitants of Bonny and Opobo islands. you're a blind lier. bonny was never founded by an Igbo. Jaja of opobo was enslaved to bonny and it was already an established trading town, vey successful. Read about the war and exile that jaja faced when he wanted to rise as a king. Oko Jumbo and other indigenous native rejected him. |
