maasoap: There was one thread last week about the border closure and we ended up discussing Dangote and cement, some dudes were accusing him being monopolistic in nature. I challenged them if Dangote prevent any other rich or wealthy Nigeria from investing in manufacturing sector, they couldn't say anything. I told them about his failed tomato paste company that had shut operation twice in the past due to absence of raw tomatoes to feed the company. That was to show them that not all Dangote businesses venturing succeed, the man is just relentless. I didn't even know that he had already taken this step to ensure continous supply of tomato fruit from the farmers. You know what one idiot said, he called me one of his employees. Lol That's their stock in trade on this forum. The minute you beat them with facts and logic you are instantly labelled BMC or Afonja or one on the payroll of whatever you lend your support towards. Primitive minds. |

Politics › Re: Why Can't Sowore And Yoruba Meet 100m Bond? Nnamdi Kanu Met 300m In 24 Hrs by Commentor: 5:48pm On Oct 06, 2019 |
candidtalk: Don't mind these brainless IPOBian cretins. If Sowore has problem raising 100 million Naira bail bond then how is that an indictment of Yoruba lack of wealth or indication Igbos having more money because Kanu secured the money to gain bail? Last I checked, Yorubas still dominated the list of ten richest Nigerians and I am sure they would likely make 40-50% of the richest 100 Nigerians.
Top 10 richest lawyers in Nigeria are all Yoruba and I can show a link but I am sure we all know how to google for info now.
Once again, IPOBians are too dumb to see what is playing out here. While Igbos blindly back their own, whether he is a criminal or terrorist and even a kidnapper like Evans, Yorubas are committed to supporting who/what is right. How many Yorubas are multi-billionaires in Nigeria that mere 100 million would be an issue? This is about Yorubas not wanting to associate with someone they think did wrong whereas Igbos have no such dedication to right and wrong once their own kinsman is involved. They celebrte criminals, give them Chieftancy titles and marry off their finest daughters to crooks.
This is why they will talk of Python dance and human rights violation, as if they are victims, without the decency or moral backbone to admit the Python went to look for Kanu after he was explicitly told not to do certain things (gather a crowd for example) yet their Ohamumudike went ahead and did such.
If Kanu is Yoruba, we will not defend him. We will ask him to go and clear his name in relation to breaching his bail conditions because we respect the law and feel every man should be bound over by it. Man should not choose when to respect or disregard the law as Igbos show a fondness for. Have you seen Adeyinka Grandson enjoying the support of Yoruba? Yorubas are silently telling Sowore to face his wrongdoing. Hope he learns. Not about money at all. It is about principles and how a people (Yoruba) have it in spades while others (Igbos) lack it. You have said it all. |

But fools still believe that he is a man of integrity. Rubbish story. You attempt to travel to UK with a fake European passport and see what would happen to you. In addition, have just 20k pounds in your possession. Even if the story is true as remote as it is, is he not a man to bear his own cross? Zombie. |

"Why should someone very close to the president be using a fake passport. Why should he carry huge undisclosed cash?"
Ur comment is saying something else. I insist if he was using a fake passport, he would be detained. Since there's no evidence of this it means it is a non-story. He is close to the presidency but they couldn't get him a diplomatic passport? Abeg make una dey think am. |

fabienjoe: They didn't arrest him because he was not carrying a fake UK passport. The passport was said to be Maltese. The money he had was only confiscated because there was only a suspicion of money laundering. No evidence it was proceeds of crime. Confiscating the cash and denying him entry was enough. It doesn't prove the story is false. That is not to say the story itself is enough proof it actually happened. Carrying a fake Maltese passport and he wasn't jailed? Carrying 200k in pounds and it wasn't considered proceeds of crime? If it wasn't considered proceeds of crime, why are you shouting yourself hoarse? |

mrvitalis: Was there a Yoruba man on the ballot ...yes why didnt u vote him
Why didn't u vote sowore in 2019
Why didn't u vote Yoruba in 2011 Yorubas had good reason to vote APC. It was a grand alliance of AD with the old ANPP. In fact, after the 2011 election which PDP won, they mocked Tinubu, the AD stalwart and claimed he was a sellout on the eve of that election. This further strengthened the resolve of AD and indeed the good Yoruba people to unite for 2015. In addition, a relation to the Great Awo, in the form of professor Osinbajo was on the ballot as VP. The rest as they say, is history. |
