1. If you are already in Netherlands; you don't need a visa to kickstart your life in Germany ( even if you don't have admissions yet ) 2. i doubt if people keep that amount of money in the bank without investing it. 3. What is the 20k for if i may ask? the amount sounds too much for a german uni per semester ( even if its private ). Krissy01: Hey guys pls this is urgent. For those people that went to Germany through Netherlands I want to ask how you guys transfer your financial guarantee to the school without any banking issue because now my deadline is close and the bank is telling Me that the money is too large for them to transfer. It's 20,000euros btw so I tried paying in portion what I was able to transfer was just the tuition deposit transferring the rest part of the money is where the issue is, the bank said they can't do it. They did give me the option of buying dollars and funding my domiciliary account which i did.... but thee person that did the transfers, sent the money in cash now they're saying cash transfer has limit of 5000usd per month and my deadline is tomorrow. Without the complete payment I won't be able to get my visa and school starts in September what do I do? I've already reached out to the school but they're yet to respond. I'm studying marketing management at hanze university of applied science I can't be the only one experiencing this problem. Send help cause I'm about to cry |

Is bonn that big? Contrary to your assertion. Bonn is Not even among the top 15 by size or population. I wouldn’t say it’s big. Tho I will agree that is better than Göttingen. You can make a round trip from the Tannenbusch to the end of Bonn in 40 mins or even less by car. Jobs are not easy to come by even in the big cities during this COVID 19 . #The hidden truth. So get ur kit of skills before falling in. Bonn is quite a cool city. It was formal capital of Germany and still houses some of the Govt agencies. The big employers are DHL (global Hqtrs). Deutsche Telekom, Postbank. But there are also manual jobs around which I don’t have idea. Bonn shares same airport with Köln. Bonn over Göttingen anyway MrAAA2: Bonn is close to Cologne, one of the largest and most populace cities in Germany. For diversity and Student jobs, Bonn is better I think and there are many schools near the city too.
Good luck and don't forget to buy me a beer if you make it to anywhere near Bonn. |

Contact the school to defer the admission to Winter Semester You need ample time to prepare for the journey ahead. Unless you have a tight timeline to finish your program then maybe u can start it online. My 2cents Grüße shawnmich: Thanks for your advice, maybe I should contact the school to defer my admission to winter because I can start the program online....or maybe I should wait if there is still hope this month. Thanks |

Hmm Get your facts right. Even the Americans, Brits, etc are here. Germany is a good study destination. There is racism everywhere. Mind you Germany is the power house of Europe. Apart from studying here, the social care Model is envied all over the word and/or other system like security is second to non. In cooperate Environment you have Upper hands to deal with any racial profiling (we don’t joke with this here) One love Nzealibaba: If not because its cheap compared to most countries, what are Nigerians going there to do . With their high rate of racism, they don't even speak English |

Yes you can get it there. I think the difference in price is quite infinitesimal. I got mine at the embassy then. There are official courier offices there. Tips: Get everything ready before the interview date. If you re on low budget or say you want to save money. Use a Lagos address of someone you trust. Delivery within Lagos is cheaper than outside Lagos. Then your contact can send it via normal/transport courier very cheap to you. ( lol… Sense will not kee me) Grüß TonyyS: I believe prepaid courier envelope can be gotten at the Embassy, right? |

Easiest way to pay uniassist is via friends living in diaspora… it’s not worth it disturbing bank and paying swift/other charges for few euros. Anybody in Europe with IBAN can help you do this while you remit into their naija account Cheers daambassador: Plz I need help on this |

Not really true! I funded my block account with form A ( tho it was half of the block account I was able to access because I was impatient to wait for the other part) I also had friends who funded completely via Form A. Don’t believe some of these bankers they don’t know how some of these things work. If possible get in touch with one of the Managers NwadiNK: No, it's not. According to the banks, form A is usually for direct school fees paid into the school account and not for a blocked account which is personal acct of the student. |

Hmm! Berlin for sure! There are lots startups in berlin and most times require no german proficiency. But Munich ain’t bad! Having lived in both cities I will choose Berlin any day anytime. Invest 6 months in If (already a developer){ 1) DevOps ( containerization —- docker/kubernetes ) 2) cloud computing ( aws and/or azure) 3) language ( at least u can get upto A2 german) } Else { MERN stack is hot here Data Science /Machine learning is also good } If (student){ As a man .. learn how to barb yourself and/or others Ladies learn how to style urself ( twisting etc ) and or others } Learn to cook very well! Learn time Mgt Regards GreatMage: Between munich and Berlin, which is preferable for job opportunities in the tech field?
And what will you advice a person that has 6 months to enter Germany to do?

hmm! this is quite subjective. it depends the bank. generally transactions within the country takes 2 to 3 working days tho the new generation banks are a bit faster. so for international transactions it could take upto 5days (biz days). 7days is not unusual. if its Deutsche Bank i could help via my bank officer otherwise you just have to chill. Regards Punkydude: Good day House, please i want to ask. How long does it take to get a confirmation of blocked funds from a German bank? |

Sometimes the difficult routes are the best ways. Go for uniassist schools. I strongly suggest TU Berlin( job opportunities are second to non because of avalanche of startups). I bet you don’t want to study where u can’t hustle. If u get admission in berlin.. I will be happy to cook pepper soup and house u for one night only . Anyway shoot for the best Regards Punkydude: Am applying. Considering TUM and TU Berlin plus other schools as i heard TUM is very competitive and kinda difficult. But the most important thing is am also looking for schools not using UniAssist and even if they do, require ONLINE-ONLY application (to ease off the stress of verification and the rest). Though TUM is my first choice and hence i cnt avoid UniAssist, but i want to have plan B, C, D, E. (yeah, five schools). |

save your self the stress/money and buy red oil from afro shop. 500ml cost about 2euros and some cents. I did all those freezing/wrapping and was still nabbed. Tho i ended up talking myself out but out of three bottles oil, I ended up with only one and I was the last person to enter the ✈️ where I was negotiating/ dragging a bottle of oil. For me it’s not worth the stress. Annestacia: Thanks for your response... Please don't be offended by my next question. You mean wrapping up the whole bottle in cellotape? Is it the transparent tape or brown one? |

Maybe because they have mountains and they re also super rich. Most of the big companies are headquartered either in Bavaria or BW. Audi, BMW, Adidas, Puma all in Bayern.. Hugo Boss, Daimler, Bosch.. all in BW. Thegamingorca: I really don't understand why the south is so uptight. Maybe cos of the thick dialect. Still sef they are more liberal up northwest than Baden Wittenberg and neighbouring bayern. |

Düsseldorf is one of the best cities to study and/or work in. I envied students studying in that state when I was interning in the state. Their semester ticket takes you even beyond the state as far as Hannover, Osnabruck, Kassel just to mention few. In terms of accommodation, Düsseldorf is ok when compared to Munich or even Stuttgart or Hamburg. Not just about student job only, even after graduation there are lots of professional jobs.
I will give green light to Düsseldorf any day any time! Bless up bro!

I will say both! Only docs originating from you like SOP need not to be certified/ notarized. Happy OktoberFest Engrphilips: Hello and good morning FAM. I have some questions to ask 1. I sent my documents to uni assist before for 2019 winter, I got admission but there was no appointment date till now and the school enrollment deadline is October 30th. Now I want to apply for summer 2020 and one of the school's requirement is 6.5 overall score for English proficiency test or English proficiency letter; I had 6.0 but now I want to use English proficiency letter since is accepted, my question is will I post the certified copy to uni assist or just upload it in my uni assist account? 2. If there is person here that want to apply to any of these schools, should pls message me so that we can work together; T U Munich, Deggendorf institute of technology, Frankfurt university of applied science, Leibniz University, Philipps University, Magdeburg Stendal university of applied science, or Otton Von Guericke university. Thanks and God bless. |

Patience! Patience dear! With patience you will cook stone and it will soften ! I understand the feeling! I have been there before after breaking all odds to fund. At a point I even gave up during my time. I was supposed to get my Visum in Sept. Only for my AM to land in November. But that was the best thing that happened to me. I then started in summer as early bird. And it really helped me to hit the ground running because I was 100% ready. No need to worry. Just prepare your fufu, Amala, etc the soup is on the way. imoriafe: Pls guys I need answers to my question.. How long does it take Stuttgart alien office to release AM? |

Let me highlight things not important to bring or things easily obtainable here. Rice( even milk rice avail ), tin tomatoes. Better to buy most of ur clothings in Nigeria until you start earning in euros . Just chat a friend if u have doubt of what to bring because the list can go on and on. Vic13: Please for those who are in Germany for a while now, I would like to ask what are the important things one needs to travel with. And also like to know the things one can get easily there instead of taking much loads when traveling to Germany. |
