Health insurance can be ready in hours

Axa mansard can suffice and u can get it few hours after application digitally.

Your visa approval entails you to submit

a. Health insurance
b. your passport
c. Date of departure ( must not be far from ur resumption date)

Visa approval can take upto months but usually 4 to 6 weeks.

Seriki222:
Good morning, please,
1. when is the appropriate time to apply for german health insurance: after visa interview or after visa approval email?
2. How long does it take to receive visa approval email after interview?
3. What is the type of health insurance required by an international student to travel to Germany?
4. How long does it take to receive health insurance papers from the date application is submitted?
Thank you.

I have a feeling the Nigerian embassy has not pushed ur file.

Zinny07:

Hi please I'm new here I just joined this forum, I have applied for my German Student Visa, I actually applied with my toddler last year. My application was in September and my son's Application was in December as his passport was not available during my interview.

My blocked Account has been fully funded, I have submitted all the necessary documents requested by the Consulate.

But up till now I have not received any response from the Consulate concerning my application. Each time I call they say they are still working on the application. The last VO I spoke with over the Telephone said that my son's Application was affecting mine as his own is a Family Reunion Visa.

Please what can I do, my University went as far as getting in touch with the Federal Office in Bremen to find out the status of my application but the FO informed my University that my application was yet to arrive to Bremen that they haven't received it.

I'm sincerely sad and I need help. Please if anyone knows what I can do, because it's been 6 months since I applied and yet no response.

Hmm hope ur relative is aware that international students in Baden Württemberg pay school fees.
Accomodation shouldn’t be a factor here. By the way Schwaben ( BW ) ain’t got that cool! Look for schools down north or west. Accomodation ain’t expensive like that.

EpicOracle:
So I've made up my mind that by God's help I'll be in Germany this year, however I need guidance as I already made the first mistake of going for verification without an application to any school.
I have a few questions please.

1. I have a relative in Ulm, Baden Wutternberg who says to look for uni around there so accommodation won't be an issue. Please who knows any school around Baden Wutternberg that doesn't require IELTS?

2. After verification of documents, what's the next step and how does one use Uni assist?

Finiks:
Is you and your friends application B.Sc or M.Sc?

Cos I don't understand why a later date gets before an earlier date.

AM/Visa approval has nothing to do with bsc or Msc. The city in germany you re heading to and the person in charge of your file are the major players. Also there are lots ukrainischen immigrants.

I did Five years ago!
They were horrible. I nearly missed my connecting flight at Casablanca. Layoff time was too short.

I was without my luggages for two weeks.

Positives:
They are quite cheap.

Tips: make sure you have your important documents/things in your hand luggage.

If the layoff is in minutes. Don’t walk. Run so as to catch up your next flight.

Safe flight.

Your best option is to enter Wg-gesucht or search for your school forum on facebook. You will see students who want to sublet their apartments or rooms for short term.

Good luck

Hey

I did this some years back via zenith bank:

I can send you a snapshot of the forms I completed via email.

These are some of the details:

Purpose of payment: school fees/semester fees/maintenance (after all you ll still be paying semester fee twice a year)

Beneficiary name: my name

I attached my admission letter, confirmation of monthly expenses as determined by the Deutsches Studentenwerk ( I will send you a copy of this, it was also signed by my school ) ,
Account opening letter from Deutsche bank,
My certificates

Tips:
Find a way to connect with the bank manager because some of the bankers are rookies and are oblivious of forex, some are even afraid to get involved if it’s complicated

Try smaller states or branches ( I used Zentih bank Umuahia )

Again it took some time even with my connect ( I was always at the bank drinking coffee lol)

Best wishes

Ekessy:
Hello guys

I seriously need assistance! If you have done blocking through a Nigerian bank or you know someone who did and the person will be willing to guide, kindly respond.

From this platform, I learnt that Sterling and Access were the best plug. But since May, 2021 I have moved from Sterling to Access and Keystone bank trying to block without success. The first two told me after I contacted them a little after a month of submission of Form A and relevant documents that the transaction was declined because it is a blocked account. Access bank went further to request that I provide a document from my school. The school obliged and sent a document acknowledging the fintiba account I opened. They added that it's a prerequisite for Visa application but this changed nothing. Keystone on the other hand gave me false hope when they debited me on Wednesday only to call yesterday morning to say that they cannot pay into the account since my name is the beneficiary's name. They also said that I wrote 'study fee' on the Form A while the money was for upkeep. And they would prefer I provide an account whose beneficiary's name will reflect the name of the school. A friend who works at the bank made further inquiries and got back to me to cancel study fee and write upkeep. Now I discussed this with the manager of the branch but she insisted that she's not processing upkeep with form A before I cause her to lose her job.

At this point, I am confused and I don't know what to think or do. Am I making a mistake in the filling of the form? Can I actually have an account with Fintiba that can combine the name of the school I am going to and my name as the beneficiary's name? Is there a change in bank policy against funding of German blocking with form A?

Please anyone with useful information should help me. I trust you will be helping some others sooner than later.

Apologies for the lengthy write-up. God bless!

You are spot on man!

For the benefits of others: When choosing a city to study. How big or financially endowed a city is shouldn't even come to play.

i will Choose BRS ahead of FAU

The immigration office in Nuremberg aint friendly at al. After ur first year you might be forced to block the complete money again ( It happened to me ). as a foreigner one of the most important things is to get your immigration matters right.

Also the semester ticket for any school under NRW state is second to non ( u can travel from anywhere in NRW to as far as hannover ( northwards ) , to kassel ( southwards ). you dont wanna miss out on NRW semester ticket.

Accommodation in Bonn and its environs are way cheaper than Nuremberg/Erlangen. As a student you will get 20hrs per week in Germany, so think about this.

As for opportunities, studying in a city doesn't mean that ur destiny is tied to that city. I studied in a very small city but worked in the big cities afterwards. All you need is a student job which u can find in most places.

Bonn has so many big employers like DHL Global hqtrs, deutcshe telekom, postbank, etc

You can be in Sankt Augustin campus in less than 30mins from bonn central station. you can even ride to school.

Having lived in both cities. I will choose Bonn anyday anytime.

Ingenieur1:

Hi!
Unfriendliness does not equate to racism smiley
Economically Bonn > Erlangen and also there are bigger cities like cologne Düsseldorf Essen and Duisburg.
Cheers

No city is bad in germany but some cities are better than others.

Did you check if it’s tuition free? The State BW introduced tuition fee sometime ago

Student Jobs May be Limited cause it’s not among the top cities

But u can focus well there. There other big cities around the state like Stuttgart ( home of Benz ) to look for something

I hope I helped

Don’t notarize or certify your original docs.

It’s even not ideal to laminate your original docs.

Make copy(copies) of them and then certify or notarize

I hope this helps .

Tips:

If you can walk someone through your cv and SOP(motivational letter) without looking at it. You are half way there.
QED: A good motivational letter is all u need to pass all ur interviews ( be it embassy interview, job interview, school interview ).

Please pay attention to ur bachelors thesis. Many questions are likely going to come from there.

What are the nodes that connects ur previous study with ur intended study.

Finally also talk about the environs ( famous Oktoberfest, Allianz Arena, bmw headquarters, media alle, erding).

It’s just an interview ( just flow ).

I can help if you are IT inclined.

All the best

So spot on.

You nailed it.
Aafiyah:

I have never had an interview with this school in particular, but I'll give a list of likely questions from experience.

Tell me about yourself. What do you do?

Have you read about the course modules? What semester do you find most interesting and why? Why do you want to study this course?

Read your motivation letter/SOP and CV well, and be ready to defend whatever you have written. Why so so career etc?

If you failed any course, you might be asked why

Go through your undergraduate thesis. You might be asked questions about it.

How will you contribute to the program? What are your research interests?

Are/were you involved in any extra-curricular activities?

Also, you might want to Google some on your own

AOK, barmer, Tk are public insurance. They re diff from mawista ( private ) you dont need to pay until u re in germany.

SpongeBobSP:
Senior man! How far?
So these ones you mentioned, I mean the private insurance, are they the same as the AOK that odogwu mentioned earlier, in that I don't have to pay until I get to Germany?
I'll still contact the university tomorrow.
Thanks.

Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by computaholicGoc(m): 11:36am On Jul 13, 2021
Regions?

I don’t think so!

Any insurance can suffice; so far as you re eligible for private or public.

Tho some schools have their preference but re not obliged to use a particular one.

OdogwuEkeke:
Well, I have a letter from a health issurance company and I did not pay for it.

You need to send a mail to the international office of your school and ask them for preferred health insurance companies after which you would need to contact them (insurance company) requesting for a certificate of some sort you would give your sponsor.

Kindly note that regions have insurance preferences.

Hey!

Go for PKV - private Krankenversicherung (private health insurance ) if u re over 23 but under 30.

Public insurance like AOK and Barmer are quite expensive tho is worth it if u re working / plan to retire in germany and/or u re sickly.

I once used mawista ( 37 euros pro Monate ). U can google it.

All the best

SpongeBobSP:

Hi bro, so my sponsor said his state in Germany is asking him for health insurance of the person he is sponsoring (me). I don't know what type of health insurance I should get cos I don't even have much money to pay for that now, so is there any you can recommend, and do you know anyone who needed health insurance to get sponsorship letter?

Just desist bombarding them emails. You could try other Eu states too.

I beg to differ. This story doesn't add up hence misleading

No one will reject a programmer for using a particular device. By the way most mobile application framework uses same codebase for both development of android and ios eg. react native, flutter, etc.

And Germans are civilised

Simply don't register for exams for summer semester.

it's not like Nigeria where you will get a carryover or fail for not writing exams when others re writing.

And don't bombard the embassy with bookings.

Lastly you can also write or consult ur course coordinator
