Yes. out of 365(6) days in a year, I bathe before going to bed at least 350 days (cold showers). This has nothing to do with the number of baths I have had during the day. It makes me sleep better. That's all. |

finallybusy: Me and a few work colleagues had a heated debate last week.
I was of the opinion that in 2024, English was the superior language for any citizen. The benefits are too numerous to mention. Nelson Mandela claimed you could appeal to a man’s intellect when communicating, however communicating with him in his mother tongue appeals to his soul. In the same way, since business is international, a Nigerian-bred proficient English speaker can carry out trade hitch-free with Caucasians. At the very least, the Nigerian can scam them — showing that his/her fluency in the language is on par if not superior to theirs.
All of the responses they gave revolved around living in Nigeria while skipping the fact that over 250 ethnic groups already exist. I found them unsatisfactory.
It is 2024, why should I teach a two year old child his/her native language? Is this a joke or you're just trolling |

There's enough info on nairaland for you to make millions online. The people making serious money online are many on nairaland. But they are not going to reveal their secret to you.
Leave romance and other sections and trawl the webmasters section. There are gems there that may look outdated but works till today.
To make money, you need time and/or money. If you have time, use it to get info and take action. If you have money buy courses and get a mentor.
My 2 cents.

Romance / Re: These Are The Things I Consider Better Than Sex(photos Included) by ComputerOperato: 9:27am On May 25 |
Goodlyhrt: Nothing is more enjoyable than sex unless you have really low libido.
Satisfaction from sex especially with a really sexy hottie is what some people give anything in this world to have.
Go to your history book to find out that satisfaction from sex have caused or stopped so many wars, enterprises, earth shattering events.
Stop living in self denial unless you are of low libido or effeminate.
The creator perfectly put it in place following how the earth is self sufficient in that we can never run out of humans or any other resources because of that hunger and satisfaction from procreation embedded deeply in us both plants and animals.
The best satisfaction comes from anything that is related to creation because that is our original dna and we are a copy of our creator.
Life is the highest creation. So sex actually gives the highest satisfaction.
I believe when all good things are of equal measure, sex towers over all other and everyone will agree with this. End of Discussion. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Military Uncovers Over 50 Illegal Refining Sites In Bayelsa Forest by ComputerOperato: 12:44pm On May 13 |
brain54:
The key word here is "upgraded..."
Take note of the word.
The major reason why those illegal refinery sites are that way is because they are stealing crudeoil and can leave at a moments notice and they have not been certified to meet environmental laws and standards.
They are just there to steal crude and don't care about the environment because of course they operate illegally.
The point is you can clean up those sites were they operate, upgrade them to modular refineries and make them legal. That way you solve the damage they cause to the environment.
Now this upgrade would involve legalization, cleaning up the site they operated, infrastructure upgrade, technology upgrade, training of staff, regulatory compliance etc.
Don't be dramatic with your virgin and prostitute analogy.
It doesn't apply in this circumstance!
I don't know how that poster equates this with virgin issue. You have a valid point 1 Like 1 Share |

The mentality in that your number 10 is what led to the death of many at Ejigbo during the ikeja bomb blast. People ran into canal knowing they couldn't swim and without seeing what they were running from, they just ran with the crowd into their death. Foolishness. Good point. |

Preamble: Lagos is a melting pot of different cultures and ethnicities, with people from various parts of Nigeria and other countries residing in the city. The city has a vibrant music and art scene, and its streets are filled with colorful markets and bustling shops. The city is also home to several historic sites and landmarks, including the National Museum Lagos, Lagos Island, and the Slave Trade Monument.
Lagos is a bustling city located in the southwestern region of Nigeria, in West Africa. With a population of over 20 million people, it is the most populous city on the African continent and one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. Lagos is known for its vibrant energy, rich cultural heritage, and dynamic economy.
But: Despite its many positive attributes, Lagos faces several challenges, including traffic congestion, inadequate infrastructure, and high levels of poverty. However, the city's resilience and entrepreneurial spirit have enabled it to thrive and grow, making it one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in Africa.
1. On a bus, When you sit by the window. Never operate your phone, It will be snatched from your hand. This is a quintessential occurence in some surbuban parts of Lagos such as Agege and Mushin. In fact, anywhere in Lagos.
2. Whenever someone greets you on the road, Do not answer him or her especially when he approaches you from behind.
3. If you see people fighting, Mind your business!!. I repeat MIND YOUR BUSINESS!!
4. You must learn how to argue with a bus conductor, when he tries cheating you. And please whenever you do. Please don't use Standard English. You must have had a good knowledge of Pidgin before you come to Lagos. If not I can teach you.
5. Walk with a known Nigerian, on the first weeks of your stay in Lagos. He'll show you the ropes or else you go suffer.
6. Whenever you're walking in a deserted area in Lagos. Walk like a gangster, not like a responsible person. If you do, Miscreants will feel you're defensive and wouldn't come close to you. Street sense ✌
7. Anything you did not find on your head, Please don't pick it. (You understand what I mean).
8. When you're crossing the road. Turn into a Ronaldo. Cars come in massive droves. They won't hit you but you must learn how to dribble them.
9. When you want to buy soft drinks, Buy soft drinks from people hawking in the traffic. It is believed that the drinks taste sweeter than the ones bought from people in shops😅. Just a belief!!
10. When you see a large number of people running, don't wait or ask questions. Just run with them. RUN RUN RUN!!! Ask when it is safe!! Run o
11. Never leave Lagos without taking a ride on Third Mainland Bridge. It is a sin😅
12. Don't dance to any music you hear, never stare or laugh at people. Don't speak to anyone in the bus until they speak to you first.
13. Whenever you walk in a crowded area, hold your phone firmly in your hand, not in your bag or pocket or else Sope oti lo.
14. Whenever you want to ask for Directions, say this. "Sorry, Please, Excuse me...then ask your question". It is compulsory to say all of them. Don't omit any. Everybody is angry in Nigeria.
15. It's often said that the number of people who are mentally normal in Lagos aren't up to 5. In essence, If a Lagosian teases you, don't take him serious. Just be cool to prevent issues. We're mad in this Lagos!!. I am the only normal person in my area.
16. There's one popular "Den of scammers" in Lagos called Computer Village. It is the most popular place for buying and repairing electronic devices. But please and please open your eyes very well before you buy fufu package in a phone case or buy a swapped electronics.
17. And lastly LAGOS is a comedy centre, you will love the drama you will be seeing around.
Lagos, Its mix of tradition and modernity, combined with its rich culture and entrepreneurial spirit, makes it an exciting and attractive destination for people from all over the world. Lagos is very very fun and sweet once you understand the system. It's not a bad place to be, it's just a place to be SMART and WISE!!
Bia op, why you wan burst my belle with laughter? Number 10 and 14 is so funny. Number 16 is so true. By the way only 2 people normal in Lagos. 1 Like |
