Ghana can teach Nigeria quite a few lessons on civilized living. 1. Electrical power outages hardly if ever occur in Ghana, while in Nigeria, electricity only exists today as the abstract subject of wistful nostalgia by grey-haired old-timers, who refer to the good old days of yore when electrical power came via overhead transmission lines, and not from smoky, roaring portable generators in the back yard. 2. Crime is so low in Ghana that it is perfectly safe to travel the highways or walk city streets at ANY hour of the day or night, whereas in Nigeria , road travel at night carries a 90% risk of armed ambush. 3. Vehicles plying the roads in Ghana look as new and roadworthy as those on UK roads, thanks to rigidly enforced car registration laws, in contrast to Nigeria where any moving object with turning wheels is deemed street-legal, just as long as the requisite bribes are paid to the men in uniforms. 4. Corrupt government officials are prosecuted and jailed in Ghana after being forced to cough up the loot, but in Nigeria, public officials who do NOT steal from the state treasury are regarded as eccentrics to be ridiculed and reviled for the rest of their natural lives, while successful embezzlers become the toast of the town, provided they are generous in spreading the loot about as they go. 5. Ghanaians, along with citizens of other CIVILIZED nations of the world will peacefully form neat, orderly lines in bus terminals, train stations and airports, as opposed to Nigerians who will cram up into each other crotch to butt-crack while screaming curses at line-jumpers, even as they scan for openings to jump the line themselves. My initial reaction to this was laughter but in reality, I should be Nigeria will is a sorry excuse for a country |
she is definate big by pageant standards but she is actually fit. she was runner-up just yesterday in the miss world sports competition (i don't believe a black girl has ever won this event, it's usually the europeans or american that win it). she had to do activities that included a 50 meter sprint, cricket match, soccer/football and building a raft i was shocked when i heard she had done so well, really |
chidichris:nice to hear the other side of the story. i'm sure there's a little truth on both sides (Ribadu HAS gone after a few big men from OBJ's crew) @ creativity: you failed to put into words what the above poster did and THAT'S why you were singled out. |
@ cre8tivity: you talk about having a civilized conversation here but you have yet to actually answer the question posed by many, what exactly has the man DONE that warrants him to be subjected to " the rule law"? what crimes do you actually think the has committed? |
Miss World at Miss Top model (she's come on at 1:52) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uynJALtG0y0 Congrats on her also making top 2 (1st runnre up) in the sports competition (I'm shocked and impressed, I must say). Had she won, she would have automatically qualified for the final (top 15) she seems to be getting more and more attention. here are two more videos of her joking around from South Africa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6uN3qO585o (she's at 30 seconds in) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9oB-6amjm8 (she's at 17 seconds in)

Ogidiboy: the one that's in all the pictures I posted Anyway, with the auburn/redish/brownish hair, light skinned girl |
she's definately not the 5'7" that was required to even ENTER the MBGN contest |

Thought some of you guys would like to see what she's up to/looking like. I'm honestly not that impressed, she's gained a lot of weight. I never thought she should have won in the first place, to be honest. Oh well. Best of luck to her. She IS a Nigeria after all, so I'll send her a vote either way. Hello my fellow nairalanders I was born and raised outside of Nigeria and have recently completed an Honours B.A. Degree in Political Science from a good Univeristy in Canada. I am looking to get into politics in Nigeria ( I have quite a bit of family connections) but I am told to first obtain my Master's degree and to get my feet wet within the country first. Some are suggesting I do so in Nigeria, as to become increasingly acclamated to the country, and its politics. I was curious as to what some of your thoughts were on this. It WOULD in fact be a cheaper option for me for the time being (I'm basically broke) as getting one in Nigeria is FAR less inexpensive than getting a Master's here. I would also have to serve (NYSC) shortly thereafter and I'm thinking this might also aid in facilitating that process What schools, if any, do you guys recommend in Nigeria? I'm looking for unbiased opinions as my family would love nothing more for me to FINALLY show some interest in my home country (I haven't had any whatsoever until last year) Your opinions and suggestions are welcome Thanks |
no games. just testing. i don't believe all the promo stuff is even gonna end up on the final cut of the full album (gist i heard from a reliable source )p.s.: rock steady's "bad man rise" (or whatever it's called) track on the album is AMAZING as well |
it's called "sharp bad guyz" and the new 2face song is the business!!! very good. 2face always does this. releases rubbish on the short/promo album before coming out with the stronger stuff later on ![]() |
@ trooe: tell it like it is o!! @ poster above: it's just a matter of telling it like it is. not a matter of hate |
Speaking of robbers in Nigeria: Armed robbers have attacked 2face's longtime girlfriend Annie Macauley Rumour has it, she lost thier baby (she was six months pregnant) Check linda ikeji's blog for more |
tpia:abi o!! |
LMFAO at d banj winning a grammy u guys are hilarious asa, 2face and maybe 9ice further down the line OMG at d banj though the boy will fade into oblivion in the next few years. he's already getting overshadowed by wande coal and people have been taking notice of his little talent as a result the koko thing is beyond played out and he has little international appeal so i don't know on what grounds you guys are basing this on his performing ability won't get him a grammy, LOL |
peter is mid to late 20s actually but yea, he's nowhere near ready to settle i hope for her sake, when he is, it'll be with her (but i woulnd't hold my breath if i was her) |
na wa o!!! I pity the girl sha! She sounds so foolish IMHO ![]() By Niyi Tabiti Chief Reporter Lola Omotayo has confirmed that she is indeed pregnant for Peter Okoye of Psquare, one of Nigeria's most popular hip hop group. She confirmed the pregnancy story in an interview published in this week's edition of Encomium, a leading soft sell magazine in Nigeria.Peter also confirmed the gist too.He, however, said he is not ready for marriage yet. http://www.niyitabiti..com/ gathered that Lola, a staff of top marketing outfit,FK:G2 owned led by Biodun Shobanjo is very happy about the pregnancy and she is ready to go any length to take of it. As regards marriage,Lola went philosophical. In her words "There is so much that completes a woman and marriage is not it.I've never focused on that.I'm not afraid to be alone. I pray, I am not going to end up alone for the rest of my life,I want a life partner. But the tag, marriage is not something I think is the ultimate.I would take my time rather than rush into marriage only top later discover that it is not what to expect. And Peter as well is dealing with his won career and he wants to focus on that and you know, maybe in a year's time,I'd be ready to get married and if he's not, then we may get to go our seperate ways. The truth of the matter is that mnarriage is not in the picture for me now" Lola is 35 while Peter is still in his 20s.Lola believes love is the ultimate and not the age difference bewteen them. They kicked off the relationship about three years ago.Since then, they have been together.Recently, the issue of another girl coming into the picture almost caused them to seperate. Now, Lola believes she has to take charge of her man by making sure she attend functions more often with him these days. http://niyitabiti..com/2008/04/lola-omotayo-confirms-she-is-three.html |
Why the hell would she go there ?!!!!Medical care isn't exactly the greatest Anyway, she's the one who had his first child some two years ago (a girl) Rumour has it, it's boys this time around Annie Macaulay's about to pop as well!!! That'll make the total 5 babies and three mommas Though these ladies are foolish imho, I wish them all well and say congrats on the twins!!!! http://niyitabiti..com/ |

we should change the forum's name to "tufaceland" lol |
why us anyone surprised? ![]() i never understood his appeal, other than looks the "koko" garbage is played out he's not vocally talented, just mediocre at best his music is redudant and uninspiring. not even guilty pleasure type of good music wande coal continues to outshine him he'll be done soon imho wande needs to step out of his shadow willingly because he's always being forced out by fans and the industry and it will only be better for his (wande's) career if he freely does it rather than having people push him to take the spotlight |
