Sammyfemy:he's done some work but has a LONG way to. i haven't been impressed with his slow pace |
Oshiomole has been a BIG dissapointment!!!! he is soooooooooooo overrated. and NO, there is NOTHING wrong with setting our standards a bit higher and drawing REASONABLE comparisons as far as infrastructure is concerned. some nigerians sure like mediocrity |
one man's trash is another man's treasure why is this a surprise to anyone? nigerians are lovers of mediocrity. but seriously, nigerians like to underrate themselves and their value. Julius Berger co. is considered low-end in Germany. They are NOT the cream of the crop over there but we treat them like gods here They could never dream of earning what they do here over there |
mikewills:VERY VERY well put. |
BUUUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank for all the pic Eko Ile Fashola is too much ![]() |
congrats to him!!! african queen was a trending topic on twitter, so kudos to him! it's not easy ooo |
another question: though i'm a british citizen, i'm not settled there (though the intention is to do so). anyhoo, i don't have a national insurance card/# (though i'll request for one upon my arrival there) looking through the application that my hubby has to fill out, i'm seeing that this is something they're requesting for. i was told that it wasn't necessary for me to have in order to sponsor my hubby. can anyone confirm this for me? that holding the passport was enough |
hello all i'm going through the application (my hubby will soon apply) and i'm having a difficult time understanding if he needs to take that test or any other english language requirement test. please advise and please please provide additional info if need be. i'm following the links and still not getting it ![]() stress wan kill me die, i think i'm losing it lol |
dis guy: thanks |
i haven't adopted his name in canada yet but our baby has his name (which is obvious, i guess lol) anyway, he will definately get the letters and documents from his office in nigeria, no problem any idea as to how much we should have in our accounts? as in savings? and yea, he can definately state that he's just there to visit me while i'm also there and will return and that he won't stay because i'm also returning to canada i was going to get my uncle to send him visitation letter ![]() |
@all: please, i'm a canadian and british citizen with a baby who is also a canadian citizen (and soon to be british). my hubby is in nigeria and i'm in the process of sponsoring him to canada. we can't stand to be apart but the travelling back and forth between canada and nigeria has become exhausting and much too costly (i've been back and forth 4 times since late 2009 and plan on going back in april) long story short, i'm not settled in the uk and have no real intention to settle there with family. we much prefer canada. but since that process takes a bit of time, we figured we'd try to get him to the uk (either on visit or by me sponsoring him as a spouse) so that baby and i can see him without going all the way to nigeria. in other words, he'd still be based in nigeria and i'd be based in canada but with a visit visa to uk, we can meet up there periodically until his canadian papers (permanent residency) are approved. we'd normally go straight for entry clearance to uk (2 years) but we don't feel that we have enough savings or real strong ties to the uk yet, other htan job offer and reasonable accomodation for all of us upon arriving there. we're nervous that he'd get rejected if they think we might end up depending on public funds or assistance in any way because our savings are really lacking. would a visit visa be better becasue my hubby just got a new job in nigeria and i have strong ties to canada so he can say that he has no intention of staying in uk, only to visit? please advise |
^^^^ thanks dear i'd want that answer as well ![]() |
@tenhap: please, your advice for first time applicants. what savings and ties to nigeria do you recommend? i'm told they make it difficult for young men and i'd really like for my husband to go htere and have myself and our baby visit him there, |

can someone also clarify the accomodation and financial requirements? i didn't see anything about this anywhere (except for here) thanks |

help please: i'm a dual citizen (canada and uk) but live in canada. my hubby lives in nigeria. we got married last year and i'm in the process of sponsoring him to canada. on average, the canadian sponsorship takes about 12-18 months (though we're hoping for less). long story short, someone suggested that i sponsor him to uk in the meantime, until his canadian papers come through. this will make it easier for us to see each other more frequently (if I decide to return to canada). in essence, nigeria is no longer an option for us. we simply do not want to be there for many of reasons and are now exploring the best option for us to be together outside of the country my questions and issues are as follows: - don't work or live in the uk . no real strong ties to uk/proof of living there (such as bills, work or bank statements) but but can provide proof of accomodation (with relatives) and job offer letter in the uk I was told to apply for my hubby anyway and just state my intent to live there. I was told NOT to mention my applciation for canadian sponsorhip (though they could still make enquiries) my questions are as follows: 1) are my chances good? providing I cite a job offer and reasonable accomodation (though the accomodation would be shared with relatives) 2)what info can anyone provide about the language test requirement. is Nigeria not considered an English-speaking country? Is there a fee for the test? My hubby is a university graduate. does that count or do they absolutely need the test? 3)do you guys think the fact that i'm already applying for canadian PR status, will harm this uk application? thanks |

Ifygurl:that website got it wrong. again, people make mistakes all the time on unofficial sites like those b/c they post pictures from google without doing proper research. they just googled her name, clicked "images" and literally posted the first close up pic of a black woman that showed up even though it wasn't her. you can check the girl's facebook, official MBGN and official miss universe pics and see with a NAKED eye that she looks NOTHING like the one whose pic u posted. height, complexion, nose, cheek bones, breasts, it's pretty obvious. it simply isn't the same girl. period. if it makes you feel better, you can go ahead and think so ![]() |
