Tuesday, 13 September 2016 Rochas praises contractor behind Concord Junction tunnel, blames flooding on rain
Governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha has shunned critics of the newly-completed Ikemba Ojukwu Tunnel at Concord Junction in Imo State, alleging that the flooding within the tunnel was caused by unusual heavy downpour of rain in recent days.
According to a press release signed by Sam Onwuemeodo, chief Press Secretary to the governor today:
The governor has therefore called on other Avengers or militants operating across the nation to also drop their guns and embrace peace in the overall interest of the nation and the citizenry.
Governor Okorocha also commended the contractor that handled the Tunnel at the Concord Junction called Ikemba Ojukwu Tunnel, for doing a good job and explained that the heavy rains have been the reason for the somewhat water log being experienced at the tunnel once it rains heavily. He said the contractor has gone back to take care of that.
The governor also announced that Imo State and whatever that is in it belong to God and not to any deity or ghost and advised those talking about deities or ghosts owing our market or any other establishment in the state to stop such uncivilized claims against the state.
The first citizen of the state equally appealed to Imo people to do away with the spirits of hate and bitterness, and have the spirits of love and peace and appealed to churches to always preach peace and love for one another instead of dabbling into politics that has already done a lot of harm to some churches and priests.
On Ekeukwu market, the governor reiterated the government’s resolve to ensure the relocation of the market to a more comfortable place using every legal means available and the essence is to achieve the government’s urban renewal programme, fix Douglas road and other adjourning roads, establish a model shopping mall and health centre, and all these will invariably raise the values of all the properties around the place. He then urged all and sundry to support the lofty idea of relocating the market.
The governor remarked that in line with his campaign promise since 2011, to take government to the grassroot by decentralizing power, the State Development Councils (SDC) will soon be inaugurated. And the SDC will carry out government’s functions and take official actions on behalf of the government including payment of salaries and pensions, and handling of projects to achieve the governor’s enviable desire to make the wards extensively feel the impact of government.

Sunday, 11 September 2016 Today's pastors love money, they are not like Jesus Christ - Freeze
Barely a week after he slammed COZA overseer Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo for rocking a N1m Gucci bag, OAP Freeze is back with a lengthy article to compare Jesus Christ and his so called "modern day pastors."
Freeze wrote: Most pastors today are not serving God, they are so unlike Christ, and many are just business men in Pentecostal suits! Imagine tithe paying members of a church cannot afford to send their children to schools that those churches built; it’s a shame! Jesus and his disciples did not have the flamboyant lifestyles our pastor today live.
Here’s a deep insight into how the disciples lived and died!
Jesus’ death on the cross, as described in the New Testament, has become one of the most famous events. But what happened to the 12 disciples who were his closest followers? Not as much information has survived about their fates, but here is what’s available from various sources, including the New Testament itself, apocryphal texts, early Christian historians, legends and lore.
• Simon, AKA Peter: Simon-Peter, who was appointed by Jesus the leader of the new sect, is viewed by Roman Catholics as the first pope, was eventually martyred in Rome during the reign of the emperor Nero. As the story goes, Peter asked to be crucified upside down, so that his death would not be the equal of Jesus and the Romans supposedly obliged. • Andrew: According to 15th Century religious historian Dorman Newman, Andrew—the brother of Peter—went to Patras in western Greece in 69 AD, where the Roman proconsul Aegeates debated religion with him. Aegeates tried to convince Andrew to forsake Christianity, so that he would not have to torture and execute him. But when that didn’t work, apparently he decided to give Andrew the full treatment. Andrew was scourged, and then tied rather than nailed to a cross, so that he would suffer for a longer time before dying. Andrew lived for two days, during which he preached to passersby. • James (son of Zebedee, AKA James the Greater): Acts 12:1-19 says that James was killed with a sword. The newly-appointed governor of Judea, Herod Agrippa, decided to ingratiate himself with the Romans by persecuting leaders of the new sect. After James was arrested and led to place of execution, his unnamed accuser was moved by his courage. He not only repented and converted on the spot, but asked to be executed alongside James. The Roman executioners obliged, and both men were beheaded simultaneously. • John: John was the only one of the original disciples not to die a violent death. Instead, he passed away peacefully in Patmos in his old age, sometime around 100 AD. • Philip: Philip, the first of Jesus’ disciples, became a missionary in Asia. Eventually, he traveled to the Egyptian city of Heliopolis, where he was scourged, thrown into prison, and crucified in 54 AD. • Bartholomew: Bartholomew supposedly preached in several countries, including India, where he translated the Gospel of Matthew for believers. In one account, “impatient idolaters” beat Bartholomew and then crucified him, while in another, he was skinned alive and then beheaded. • Thomas: Apparently Thomas preached the gospel in Greece and India, where he angered local religious authorities, who martyred him by running him through with a spear. • Matthew: According to legend, the former tax collector turned missionary was martyred in Ethiopia, where he was supposedly stabbed in the back by an swordsman sent by King Hertacus, after he criticized the king’s morals. • James (son of Alphaeus, AKA James the Less): According to Foxe, James, who was elected by his fellow believers to head the churches of Jerusalem, was one of the longest-lived apostles, perhaps exceeded only by John. At the age of 94, he was beaten and stoned by persecutors, and then killed him by hitting him in the head with a club. • Thaddaeus, AKA Lebbaeus, Judas or Jude: According to several stories, he was crucified at Edessa (the name of cities in both Turkey and Greece) in 72 AD. • Simon the Canaanite AKA the Zealot: Simon preached in Mauritania on the west coast of Africa, and then went to England, where he was crucified in 74 AD. • Judas Iscariot: According to Matthew 27:3-6, the treacherous apostle quickly felt remorse over his betrayal of Jesus and went to the Temple to recant. When the high priests ignored his plea, he threw down the 30 pieces of silver that he had been paid, and went off and hanged himself. But Acts 1:15-20, gives a different and even grislier version of Judas’ demise. He says that Judas used the blood money to purchase a piece of land and then fell headlong from a high place there, so that “he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.” Jerusalem residents subsequently named the place Aceldama, which means “the field of blood.”

Thursday, 8 September 2016 "Operation Crocodile Smiles" is a joke - Niger Delta Avengers tells Buhari
Pipeline-bombing Niger Delta Avengers militants have written an open letter to president Muhammadu Buhari over Nigerian Army's recent "Operation Crocodile Smiles" exercise in the Niger Delta region in a bid to quell activities of militants.
The letter dated 7 September 2016 and signed by Avengers spokesman Mudoch Agbinibo, read: The High Command of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) and the entire membership on behalf of the good people of the Niger Delta offer our condolences to the families and Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari, C-In-C of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria, on the soldiers murdered in the ongoing military operation cum exercise codes named "Operation Crocodile Smiles". Mr. President from available facts, the untimely deaths of these four (4) fine soldiers in the creeks of Bayelsa and another sixteen (16) that was recorded during the first four days of the exercise along the River Ethiope, in Delta state but was earlier covered up is nothing more than act of murder. Their death is due to negligence, administrative greed and a corruption within the military constructed and perfected by the ascendant APC political class (conflict merchants we have mentioned times without numbers) from the Niger Delta and some Abuja paid and bought up interest. Mr. President, the worrisome dimensions about the ongoing reorganization and restructuring of the unending security operations in the Niger Delta is where two of your head of security apparatus are boasting to the minister of defense that, they have your hears. They assured him, it is now their turn to bloat their pockets and that they can talk you to even borrowing money to sustain the insecurity in the region, which the honourable minister of defense concurred to before the ongoing exercises.
We have earlier advised against timing, strategy and objectives of the show of military might and the deployment of military hardwares to the Niger Delta suddenly when there is certainly cessation of hostilities for peace talks to commence. But the top hierarchy of the Nigerian military led by Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, your Chief Of Army Staff was only after his pecuniary monetary gains and that of some Akpakpa- AJUDAIBO CHAMPAGNE intelligence chief who is desperately arm-twisting the peace processes continuously. The advice is that all lives matters! Why are you in a hurry to train over two thousand military personnel for just 4 to 14 days on amphibious military exercise to occupy the Niger Delta region when the Niger Elders and stakeholders are awaiting your response for peace talks? Have you forgotten the exploits of our great fathers during the infamous Nigerian Civil War in amphibious warfare without any military training? Is it because they were volunteers as such the success was credited to Late Lt. Col. Benjamin Adekunle and Lt. Col Olusegun Obasanjo instead of them? Mr. President as a veteran of that fateful war, you know that after all failures, the amphibious warfare and successes was under the command of Lt. Gen. Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro of blessed memories, the pride and face of the 3rd Marine Commandos (3MCDOS) constituted of able-bodied Ijaw warriors voluntarily. They were not given any formal military training prior to that great contribution to the unity of Nigeria, but they succeeded because there were amphibious by nature.
Mr. President, the truth be told, we are the "GREAT WHITE SHARKS" of the Atlantic when it come to marine warfare! "Operation Crocodile Smiles" is ironically, a simulative military operation cum exercise for waters less than 2 fathoms in depth orchestrated by the top hierarchy of the military to undermine any genuine disposition from your government towards restoration of tranquility in the Niger Delta and to exhaust your security budget for the year, except you are thinking otherwise towards peace in the Niger Delta too.
We the Ijaws and the people of the Niger Delta occurred here times immemorial. We have resisted, any attempt of exclusions in the control of our God Given Resources, from the Portuguese and British colonial trades and periods to date. We are ever ready to continue that resistance even without guns and ammunitions.
Finally, Mr. President, we want you to commission a high powered panel to investigate all processes that led to the ongoing military operation and exercise in the Niger Delta tagged "Operation Crocodile Smiles” and all the ongoing cover-ups of military mishaps that have led to more than twenty (20) deaths so far. Mr. President, in practical terms Crocodiles do not have any capacity to swim close to the water depth small tiger sharks swim and play around not to talk of the depths of the great whites, the heart of the nation's economic where we have overmastered. The mission ongoing in the Niger Delta is a brainchild of orchestrated military corruption at your face Mr. President.
Operation Crocodile Smiles is nothing but a conduit pipe for military contracts, political profiteerism and patronages designed for the stress of your administration’s scarce resources. If it has any other purpose, it is satisfy the ego of a trigger happy Chief Army Staff who killed over 800 Shiite just to have the right of way to a meeting even though there were other routes to his meeting. For the records, depths of 2-3 fathoms in the Niger Delta region is likened to the waters our kids of ages between 3-8 years bathe and swarm with crocodiles, alligators and other aquatic creatures in the mangroves/freshwater swamps of Niger Delta Creeks.

Igboland should build ranches, ban grazing like Ekiti - Ekweremadu
Deputy Senate president Ike Ekweremadu has urged South Eastern governors to pass a law banning open cattle grazing just like Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose did last week. This is in order to reduce "havoc" caused by herdsmen and farmers' clashes.
Ekweremadu made this known via his Media adviser, Uche Anichukwu, at the World Igbo Congress, holding in New York, the United States of America on Saturday 3 September 2016.
His words: "Governments of various states in Igboland and indeed, other parts of the country, should immediately consider enacting legislations that would confine cattle-rearing to modern ranches as obtainable in developed societies.
"In fact, our governments could go a step further to invest in constructing and leasing out modern ranches.
"This will produce healthier animals, give better products, provide employment, added value to the farm products, and help in promoting peaceful co-existence as well as sifting armed bandits and terrorists from real farmers doing legitimate business."
How Chinedu my son was killed - Stella Oduah's ex-hubby laments
Lt-Col. Satchie Emmanuel Etoromi (rtd.), the estranged husband of senator Stella Oduah and father of late Chinedu Maxuel Etoromi who was laid to rest last weekend at his mother's hometown in Anambra, has spoken out again.
In reply to his eldest son, Mr Tuoyo Etoromi-Oduah's letter where Tuoyo swore to be "rather called a bastard than to be called your son," Pa Etoromi wrote on Sunday:
"Eyituoyo my son, they have misled you. When Omabuwa came home last year, Stella, your mother told me to call you to come home.
"She gave me your phone number. She said you were in the United States of America and don't answer calls. All calls to that your phone were not answered. I believe Omabuwa was killed, that is why Stella refused to tell me.
"The stories about how Stella took you away need not be told now. The grief that my son, Omabuwa who was contacted by your junior sister, Valentina Omawumi Etoromi and who came home is dead is too much a pain for me now. Stella should bring our kids home. I want to bury Omabuwa who is now late, and you my lovely son, Eyituoyo should come home. I married Stella traditionally and under Igbo marriage law, every child she has before my dowry is returned belongs to me.
"It is Stella and not yourself who should tell me that my son, Omabuwa, your senior brother is dead.
"You said you offered flight tickets and accommodation to attend the burial and funeral of my son. Burial where? Do you have flight infrastructures at Akili Ozizor now? Is it Ibo culture for a woman whose dowry was paid to take her children's corpse to her home town? That is abomination. The controversies surrounding Omabuwa's death will be investigated".
"My son, do not allow yourself to be dragged into what you do not have knowledge. Could it be that Omabuwa was killed because he came home? This is not the time to talk. May the Almighty God grant us His Mercies, show us light that will make us know the truth. Amen.
"Eyituoyo, I am not Mr Satchie Etoromi. I was commissioned into the Nigerian Army and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before Stella came into my life. I was also conferred with a Chieftaincy title when she was with me. It is a pity that you were not told my status in life. You will know I am not a nonentity as you were made to believe"
"My marriage with Stella was not short. She moved out of our home 19 years ago and so her telling you she divorced me 30 years ago is another big lie. How old are you? So why did she tell you all these lies? I am an incorruptible and disciplined officer and gentleman and you shall be proud that my blood flows in your veins when the truth becomes knowledge. I was a polygamous man before Stella married me. I married many wives and it is a custom of our people. His Royal Highness, Igwe Oduah 1 of blessed memory had many wives too, so what did I do wrong?
"When Stella took you and everything away, in humility I prayed for the Almighty God's mercy. Must she not do the needful and bring you to me? The Almighty God shall judge. I am your father. Bring Omabuwa home and come with him. I am not threatening you nor your mother. .
"May the Almighty God bless you my son. All will be well."
Yeah. I remember when I visited google yesterday, wikipedia told me that "ipad yoots" were the president of Nigeria not one Muhammadu Buhari of katsina.
Recall all Igbo from SW SS,NE,NW,&NC to assemble in south east
Recall all south east law makers from national assembly and house of representatives
Since igbos re the japans of africa they should be able to produce warplane, armoured perssonel carrier,drones,Ak47,rocket launcher, bullets, bombs e.t.c in order guide biafra republic from external aggression.
Hoist bia fraud flag in all 5 South east states and declare Biafra in the broadcasting news to the world.
Simple as that
See what lack of history classes is causing Nigerian teenagers. Everything you listed above was done in 1967 when 60,000 easterners were slaughtered in a religious riot in Northern Nigeria.
What did Gowon do next? He declared war on people who had decided to stay on their own and told to go by Northerners, starving 3 million Biafran women and children to death and losing 1 million Nigerian soldiers and citizens in the process.
Tell your FG to start teaching you guys history. And btw. If you support Igbos to go (and not just to make a one-off point), you wouldn't be using the bolded term in your sentences.
ArmedRobber: Easterns re the problem of this world.
Boko haram - North East
IPOB/massob- south East
ISIS,AL QEADA- middle East
Alshabab -- east africa
Anything with the world east is always full of violence
And it baffles me that you'd swear to withhold the so called violent people from staying in their own different nation. Recall that Mile 12 is in South East while Fulani herdsmen from Libya are from Onitsha?

Friday, 2 September 2016 Women Affairs minister sacked after having affair with two women
Yes, it's called the Ministry of Women Affairs but ministers are not permitted to live reckless lifestyles, so says the law.
India's minister of Women and Child Development Sandeep Kumar has been sacked following a leaked sex tape where he was recorded making out with two half naked women. Although married, Kumar's actions with the unidentified women led to his sack by prime minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday 31 August 2016.
India's chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said of the incident: "We never try to cover up wrongdoings when evidence comes up against our ministers or party workers, unlike other parties. He has betrayed us."
Meanwhile, the accused, Sandeep, a father of one, thinks the incident is a setup.
He narrated while speaking to Indian journalists on Thursday 1 September 2016: "This is a conspiracy against me because I was becoming a prominent face of the Dalit community in the city,
"Check the authenticity of the CD. It is a matter of investigation, a conspiracy to suppress me."
AAP on Saturday suspended Sandeep Kumar who was sacked from the post of Women and Child Development Minister by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over an “objectionable” CD in which he was shown in a compromising position with a woman.
The suspension of his primary membership of the party comes nearly four days after the decision to remove the 36-year-old minister was taken at a high-level meeting attended by top AAP leaders.
“The party is taking action. What Kumar has done is completely wrong and he has been suspended from primary membership of the party. Disciplinary committee has been handed over the matter and whatever its decision, the party will abide by it,” Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said.
Asked about party leader Ashutosh’s tweets defending Kumar, he said, “These are his personal views but the party is clear. In AAP, any charges on character, corruption and crime wouldn’t be tolerated. If there are such charges against me, same action will be taken as has been taken against Kumar,” he said.
Targeted because I am dalit: Sandeep Kumar
The 36-year-old MLA from northwest Delhi's Sultanpur Majra said he was targeted for being a Dalit. Kumar had claimed innocence saying, “Like Eklavya was pulled down, when people from our community rise, some plot is hatched to destroy us.” He also claimed that a “plot was hatched” ever since he installed Dr. Ambedkar’s statue and it was happening because “he is poor and dalit."
"He betrayed the party"
Sources said the decision to sack Kumar was taken before Kejriwal left for the Vatican City yesterday to attend the canonisation of Mother Teresa.
Kejriwal had tweeted, “Received ‘objectionable’ CD of minister Sandeep Kr. AAP stands for propriety in public life. That can’t be compromised. Removing him from Cabinet wid immediate effect.”
In a video message a day after he sacked Kumar, Kejriwal had asserted that he would prefer to die or dissolve the party rather than compromise with AAP’s principles, adding that the same rule will apply to him and all other senior leaders.
× Kejriwal said although the turn of events and the fact that “such people” were in the party “saddened” him, he takes “pride” from the fact that AAP did not attempt to “cover up” the transgressions.
“Sandeep Kumar betrayed the party; he betrayed the AAP movement and the trust people across the country have reposed in AAP. We will never ever compromise on our core values. We will prefer to die, close the party or perish than tolerate wrongdoings,” he had said in the video message.
Buhari is not a magician trending as naira hits N425/$ at black market
The Nigerian naira slipped into 425 naira per US dollar in the black market and showed no signs of changes as the forex market closed today Thursday 1 2016. Now, some Nigerians are tweeting "Buhari is not a magician" to defend the president while some others are bashing (wailing. lol).
Update: Facebook satellite for Nigeria's cheap Internet completely destroyed in rocket explosion I earlier reported that SpaceX Falcon-9, the rocket that was due to carry Facebook's cheap Internet access satellite to the orbit this Saturday into the orbit exploded this afternoon. The update I'm getting is that the satellite itself, Amos-6, was totalled in the blast. Amos-6 cost Facebook about $200m (about 8.4 billion naira) to develop.
Facebook's first ever satellite worth $200m was destroyed when a SpaceX rocket exploded during a test fire.
The space exploration and technologies firm confirmed that Amos-6, part of Mark Zuckerberg's future vision for the internet, was completely decimated.
A launch was scheduled on Saturday at 1.33PM GMT to deliver the satellite into orbit to help bring the internet to Saharan Africa.
But the SpaceX rocket carrying it burst into flames on a test run shortly before 9am (local time) today.
Last year an excited Zuckerberg revealed his intentions on delivering the internet from space.
He wrote: "As part of our collaboration with Eutelsat, a new satellite called AMOS-6 is going to provide internet coverage to large parts of Sub-Saharan Africa.
