Saturday, 24 September 2016 Sit-at-home protest: Nnamdi Kanu controls more influence than Buhari, group says
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has mocked Nigerian leader President Muhammadu Buhari over the success of the group's sit-at-home protest on Friday 23 September 2016.
IPOB reminded the Nigerian Federal Government who is holding their leader Nnamdi Kanu over treasonable felony charges in Kuje Prisons, Abuja, that the Abia State-born Biafra Republic agitator waives more respect and command within the populace of Southeast and South South Nigeria than the former military dictator, Buhari.
In a statement IPOB released today, signed by spokesman Emma Nnaji, the group said: [b]Nigeria govt and her animals in uniform are still wondering how IPOB issued a command and whole of Biafraland and Biafrans in Diaspora obeyed the order simultaneously without use of violent,force,coercion,looting and destruction of properties or bribing people to abide.
They failed to realise that when an ideology take hold of people any other thing is secondary. You can't defeat an ideology with violent,that's reason no force of power by Buhari terrorist armed forces that can deter determined Biafrans from agitating for freedom.
Therefore to keep Nnamdi Kanu in detention will in no way stop the movement rather it will galvanised the movement and attract more supporters as it has done.
Infact Buhari has help to move the agitation far; he made it easy and faster for Biafra to be restored. He will go down the history as the most foolish president of Nigeria who gave IPOB and Radio Biafra unsolicited presidential publicity.
The rate IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu accelerated to stardom is the result of imbecilic attitude of Buhari in fighting unjust war against just course and peaceful people of Biafra.
However despite all the Nigerian govt tyranny against Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu in particular i count it all joy because Buhari’s actions are under international scrutiny at the moment and soon little friendship he enjoys today will vanish.As IPOB will continues to stroke him so shall his provocative actions murder him.
All who think IPOB determinations will wind-down should get consolation pills to cushion the dementia because they're going to be disappointed.
Nnamdi Kanu inculcated die-hard spirit in this class of freedom fighters so even if he is no more his duplicate is in millions.
Present Biafra youths is different from what Nigeria used to know,this set of Biafrans do not sound,act or look like people that will substitute anything for Freedom of Biafra.
So therefore it better for Arewa and Oduduwa to start thinking how to live without Biafra because where Biafra restoration movement has reach is the point of no returned.[/b]

Imo State governor Rochas Okorocha today met the high-flying contingents of Team Nigeria who won 12 medals at the just-concluded 2016 Paralympics in Rio , Brazil.
According to Government House photographer, Michael Omoboriowo, Okorocha gifted each athlete a brand new car and unspecified amount of cash.
Chief Thomas Osen Ekpemupolo, the Tunteriwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and the father wanted ex-militant leader Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, was laid to rest today in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri Southwest LGA of Delta State.
Although Tompolo was absent at the scene, his younger brother, Hon. George Ekpemupolo , the council chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Council, was on ground to oversee arrangements at the event.

A man was beaten after he tapped excessive "current" and ejaculated on a woman's butt on a moving commercial bus in Kenya yesterday. While the man was pleading for mercy, he blurted out that he will "pay" for the act which angered other bus passengers who rained abuses on the sex-starved man.

President Muhammadu Buhari who is currently in the United States of America for the 71st United Nations General Assembly in New York gave the advice to Nigerian filmmakers through his foreword in Africa Film Academy's recently released brochure/magazine titled "Nigerian Film Industry at a Glance."
The Nigerian leader wrote: "The Nigerian film industry that is now called Nollywood, in the fashion of the American, Hollywood and Indian, Bollywood started as the effort of a group of enterprising young men and women who traded on their talents and sheer determination without anyone paying attention.
"It has now metamorphosed into a big industry employing thousands of people, contributing to the national Gross Domestic Product and empowering a new generation of creative entrepreneurs.”
"Our government will continue to support the creative sectors of its economy so as to encourage our teeming youths while we enjoin our filmmakers to continue to project the image of Nigeria and the continent of Africa in a positive way through their story lines. Friday, 16 September 2016 Exclusive photos: Fire razes Police barracks in Lagos
Around 11AM on Friday, a wild inferno swept across residential buildings at Ijeh Police Station, in Obalende under the Lagos State Police Command. The fire destroyed properties worth millions of naira belonging to police officers whom mostly have gone out for the day's work.
One policeman who gave his name as Inspector Mike said it took firefighters an hour to arrive the scene: "It took the fire service more than one hour before they responded to our distress call.
By the time they came, the fire has reduced everything into a rubble. That’s why we drove the fire fighters away."
Another resident named Martina Undie added: "You can see that all the 24 flats have been completely burnt. We could not salvage anything." No lives were lost in the incident but according to eyewitness, a man who was taken to hospital "got some serious burns on his body."
In September 2014, fire destroyed 40 flats in the Ijeh Police barracks during a similar incident.
