CultureMy Father's Will by ConfessionsNgr(op): 1:21pm On Apr 27, 2015
So it happened that my father died about two months ago, leaving three wives and thirteen children which I happen to be the first born. He was a very wealthy man, and we were each expecting meaningful share by the time the will was going to be read. In the will, he said everything he owns should be sold, and then ten percent of the whole money should be shared equally between the sixteen of us, and his four younger siblings. The total value of his assets is approximated 500 million. Yes, FIVE HUNDRED MILLION Naira. Ten percent of that is 50 million, and divided equally between 20 people means 2.5 million each for us. This is ridiculous because just last year, one of my step sisters spent almost 5 million on her birthday alone. The most annoying thing is that when we asked where the remaining 450 million should go, the will said to the church and charity. How can a man be that heartless? And his lawyer is a strict man who won't compromise. We have plans to contest this will or if possible write one that will be favourable. Any ideas on what should be done? What would make a man to be so wicked to his family?

CultureShould I Join Them? by ConfessionsNgr(op): 9:53am On Apr 26, 2015
I really need help in making a decision, but I want anybody reading this to put his or herself in my shoes before judging or rendering advice. I graduated in 2009, with a 2-1 in electrical engineering. Five years after service, I am yet to get a job and I still live with my parents. Even my junior brother that finished service last year now lives on his own. My situation is so embarrassing to me, sometimes I just hate life. One of my closest pals back in school rides a car (evil spirit), and he is doing fine. I approached him for help, and most times he does give me money. He told me he doubts if I can do what he does. He is into smuggling cars into the country from Cotonou. My driving skills is five-star and I feel like joining them. He once told me of a time when a car his partner was driving during a hot chase by the custom patrol team, once summersaulted. The guy died on the spot. The job is very risky, but the gain involved is a lot. I am making plans to join, but an oath must be taken, and that is where the problem is for me. Anyone that wants to join his crew must swear an oath of secrecy, in order not to reveal secrets anyhow when caught or in some other cases. If you were in my shoes, what will you do?

CareerMy Boss Embarrasses Me A Lot... by ConfessionsNgr(op): 12:23pm On Apr 25, 2015
I don't really enjoy my place of work at all. It is a private organization and the wife of the owner happens to be one in charge. The pay here is very OK, as in very very OK, and that is the only reason why I am still working there. But apart from that, everything else is so stressful. We work six days a week, and work is 8am to 6pm everyday. As if that is not enough, this woman of a boss is always on my neck. She is so rude, bossy and villainous. The way she embarrasses we workers is becoming unbearable. She is always quick to rain abuses and curses on us in yoruba. She has a bad mouth. There was even a time she bounced my girlfriend when she came to pay me a visit during break. I was so embarrassed that day. I don't pray for my worst enemies to have this type of boss, she is just like Jezebel. The way she even talks to her husband anytime that one comes around says a lot about her. She once slapped one of the workers because that one forgot to put Ma after answering her, imagine!!!. And besides, the working condition is harsh. We might not get paid for a month's salary until the tenth day of the next month. I have tried looking for another job, but the ones I have seen have less pay. I cherish my ego and self-esteem a lot and it hurts anytime she bruises them. I really wish I could get a solution.

CareerI Cheated My Way Through School, Now Am Born Again by ConfessionsNgr(op): 9:27am On Apr 24, 2015
Please are there born again Christians here? Because this is a very spiritual matter, and I need guidance from a spiritual point of view. I work with an insurance firm in Lagos. I have spent five years in the place already. From my O-levels days to A-levels I cheated my way to pass the exams. I am not talking about giraffing cheating, I am talking of settling invigilator and special centers' types of cheating. This continued all through my university days, back then I only settled lecturers and those students that do help lecturers to mark exam papers. I graduated school with a comfortable second class upper degree. Getting a work was also through runs. I am yet to marry, but I have a fiance who happens to be very spiritual. It was through her that I became born again, and it has been 2 years already since I came into the kingdom. But my conscience has been disturbing me since a year ago. I noticed every achievement I have laid as financial foundation can be traced back to shady and unrighteous means. It prickles my heart till now. I wish I could turn back the hands of time, I know old things have passed away and everything has become new, but if the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do? Please I seek advice on what to do.

EducationMy Sister's Hubby Wants Me :( by ConfessionsNgr(op): 2:40pm On Apr 20, 2015
My sister's marriage is 5 years old already. Blessed with a 2 year--old son. She is enjoying her marriage, as the family has been blessed with a house and two cars. I got admission to a school situated where she lives with her husband, and she decided I should come stay with her. So that the expenses won't be much, and not only that, we enjoy each other's company too, and I assist with house chores. The husband seemed like a good man before and a little after I moved in. I see him as a big brother. My sister often travels out to get her goods for her supermarket, and she could go for days. Her husband comes to my room and treat me special during these times buying all sorts for me. At first I didn't suspect anything until he started touching my hips, hugging me and telling me I am sexy and beautiful. He has come to my room at many nights to say he wants to pass the night at my room. I am afraid he wants to start sleeping with me, hence all his moves and niceness. Should I tell my sister?

Glad I can post here anonymously. Some few years ago, I was posted to south west for my NYSC programme. It was a mixture of the good, bad and ugly. And am always thinking of the "bad" things I did. Luckily or unluckily for me, I had my ppa(primary place of assignment) at a girls'-only secondary school. Most of these girls are my age mates. I got to know that they don't normally start school until like seven years old. Because I am a fine boy and their teacher, it was easy for them falling for me. At a time I lost count of how many of them I had disvirgined. In the process, a few of them got pregnant for me, and I wasn't ready to be a father to three babies. I was the only male corper posted to this school amidst three female corpers. And even one of them happened to be nymphomaniac. She came to me anytime she was in the mood, even though she was aware that I was sleeping with the students. I lived outside the school so it was easy for any of them to come to my place. Two of the students even fought each other dirty because of me. I was such a celebrity and star. But years afterwards, I wish I could turn back the hands of time and change how I lived promiscuously during service.

RomanceHe Beats Her Too Much!! by ConfessionsNgr(op): 10:44am On Apr 17, 2015
Her husband beats her a lot. And she has scars all over her body. I happen to be the middleman and even best man at their wedding five years ago. So most times anytime she gets beaten, I get to hear. Both the husband and wife are my friends, that was why it was easy to match-make them. But I don't like how their marriage is going. They have two children already. The assault started almost immediately after their wedding. I couldn't believe it when I first heard it because my friend isn't violent. Until he gave her a dirty slap right in my presence over something very minute. I reproached my friend on the spot and even stopped associating with him for a while out of anger. Many a times I've counselled my friend and he keeps promising to change. I feel bad anytime the wife comes to me to report. She always asks me to advice her and I also do try my best to talk to her husband. I hate any form of abuse and I sincerely want the best for both of them. I wish my friend will stop it and save his marriage, I also wish his wife will end the marriage so as to save her life because I have seen cases of death and deformity because of abuse. Divorce is better than death. I am in a dilemma as to how to advice both of them.

FamilyMy Hubby Wants A Second Wife!! by ConfessionsNgr(op): 10:22pm On Apr 15, 2015
I am really in six and sevens concerning this issue. I have been happily married to my husband for twenty years. Yes! Twenty years and happily married. Our first born just gained admission into the university and the last is writing common entrance this year. My husband doesn't cheat, or maybe I can't say. Just last week, he woke me up in the middle of the night and told me he wanted to discuss something very important with me. He said he wants to marry a second wife. I couldn't believe my ears. It seemed as if it's a dream. Even right now It still feels like I am yet to wake up from a nightmare. I don't know why all of a sudden somebody who just celebrated his fifty years old birthday wants a second wife. Is it that he has impregnated a girl outside? And he wants to marry her. My husband isn't the type that loves too much intimacy. He doesn't look like an adulterer. I would have sworn that this idea will never cross his mind. I am really confused as I don't just know what to do. Am I actually dreaming? Is there anything I can do to help the issue?

FamilyI Ate Snakes :( by ConfessionsNgr(op): 4:48pm On Mar 27, 2015
Only if I knew that eating could put one into trouble. It wasn't even intentional. We went on this excursion to this rural area, and we had a fun of fun. They had the best of natural everything. From food to palmwine to fruits and vegetables. The bush meats were particularly delicious. We also got to eat snakes too, I never knew they were that delicious and palatable. By the time we were leaving for school, I even came back with some. The meat actually doesn't even look like snake in appearance. I never saw it as an issue. Just two weeks ago, I got to visit my village for the first time since birth. I was happy to be finally home. I got to meet extended families members. But I noticed snakes occasionally crawled about, I made attempt to kill one and was prevented. They told me snakes are part of the community and it's a taboo to kill them or eat them. I couldn't believe my ears, especially the "eat them" part. I have been feeling nervous and easy since then, even though I don't know what happens to anybody who breaks the taboo. I've been having weird dreams since then. What should I do?
