I am a lady in my mid 20s with a good job and thankfully my career is going well. To the ordinary eyes my life is pretty perfect but I am an introvert and hardly go out except it is work related, hence, I have no friends and hardly ever date.
A few months ago, I met this nice guy and we clicked. We had this connection and it was amazing. The only issue was we weren’t in the same town. To him that was an issue but we sorted it out, I would move to his town as soon as I could get a transfer and I was ok with it.
He told me the issues he had in his life and I took him for who he was and I was glad he was open to me. I never needed his money and he didn’t need mine because he was more comfortable than I was.
A few weeks ago, he went abroad and told me he would be out for a few days. We kept communicating via chats since he claimed he didn’t roam his line and forgot his international line at home.
After a few days while he was still abroad (I chatted with him about an hour before the incidence). I got a BBM invite and I added the person; a female. She asked if I was someone else but I said no but she kept insisting, so she said she will provide proof that I am the one she wants to talk to. She went on to send me personal chats between me and my boyfriend. I was stunned. She cursed me out claiming she was his wife and had a son for him. Telling me he never travelled.
‘I was like hell No!
I have been to his house and he didn’t have a kid or signs that there was one there. I even stayed for days. Then she sent pictures of the kid with his supposed dad, my boyfriend.
She kept rolling out the insults and giving me gory tales about his infidelity. I kept apologising because she had evidence I couldn’t refute. I pinged my boyfriend and asked him where he was. He said he was in Nigeria, I was stunned again. I decided to relay what happened and he claimed she was a deranged ex and he was gonna explain the rest. According to him, she had contacted other friends of his and cursed them out as well.
I was hurt, didn’t know what to believe till he sent a screen shot of the girl claiming she would destroy his life and all he loves. The issue became a police case. I also got a screenshot of the girl apologising for what she made him go through.
It’s been almost a week and my supposed boyfriend hasn’t called to explain, he claims he is sorting stuff out as it has gone on to affect his job as well.
I don’t know what to do, I haven’t been myself since that day and I need to know where I stand. This isn’t easy for me as my folks know about him.
I am confused and need advice.

It is true that just one moment of indiscretion can cause you a life time of pain and sorrow. This is exactly what I am facing right now, it's a very serious situation I am going through now. I am a happily married woman with two beautiful kids. I have been married now for the past six years and everything has been fine until two months ago when I ran into my ex boyfriend. Greg(Not real name) was my boyfriend in school but we had broken up when he graduated because when he left school he moved on and we never saw each other again, although I later heard from his friend that he had traveled abroad after service. I met my husband after I graduated and we got married a year later. Two months ago, I got a call from Greg that he was in Nigeria and really needed to see me. I asked him how he got my number he told me that he got it from facebook. I told him that I can’t see him because I am married and have moved on since he left me. He however, told me that he knew I was married and that he has been deported back to Nigeria and that things were a bit tight with him and he urgently needed my help. Against my better judgment, I had gone to see him that afternoon. When I met him, he was looking so emaciated and I honestly felt pity for him. He then went on to tell me how he got into trouble abroad and was sent to jail and subsequently deported after serving his jail term. He told me he needed to rent a place even if it’s just a self contain because he could no longer afford the hotel where he was putting up. I told him to look for a place and if it is not too expensive I can help him with the funds. I really felt pity for him then. That was how I helped him in renting a place. After renting the place, he once again invited me to come and see the place and at least know where he is living. I refused initially because I felt that would be too close for comfort being in the same apartment with him. We had always met in an eatery before now. He begged me and once again, I went against my better judgment. On getting there I found out it was a two room self contain and the place was really nice. He offered a drink and I requested for Malt. I don’t know how Greg did it because the malt drink was corked when he brought it but I later found out that he had drugged the drink and had forcefully had sex with me. I was mad when I woke up and couldn’t believe my eyes. I threatened to report him to the police but he told me that would mean the end of my marriage because my husband will ask me how I got into his apartment. Right now he is blackmailing me that I should give him the sum of Ten million naira because he has the sex tape and he will send it to my husband if I refuse to give him the money. I don’t have that kind of money and I have offered to give him Three million which is all I have in my account, but he has refused to take it. I cannot tell anybody about this and if my husband gets to know that will be the end of my marriage. I am so devastated, please advise me on what to do.

Hello friends. Please I will need your advice on how to proceed with this. I have been friends with Freda (not real name) since our secondary school days. She is what you will call beauty and brains. Freda is a very beautiful girl and she has always had guys flocking round her. On my part I am also a pretty girl but I must confess I am not as pretty as Freda sha, which is why most times I have always had to play second fiddle to her when we meet guys for the first time. It always turns out that the one I am interested in is always interested in Freda. Although, this is not a problem for me and I am not jealous about it. I have grown to accept this as normal and most times, Freda and I often joke about it because sometimes it turns out that she turns them down and they will be like, had I known I would have gone for her friend. Recently, we both met a very cute guy. Apart from being cute, this guy is extremely rich. He runs a stream of business that has branches in different countries in Africa so he is well loaded. As usual, it was Freda he was interested in. For reasons which I cannot explain, Freda does not seem to be interested in him. This guy showers Freda with lots of gifts and attention but she is still not interested in him. I have tried to talk to her about it because I honestly do not know why she is turning him down and it is not like she is into any relationship right now. Her only complaint was that the guy is a local guy. As far as I am concerned that excuse is extremely absurd. The guy is just a shy guy who will come across to you as being timid. However, that is not the case because he is well educated and widely traveled. The problem right now is that the guy has shifted his attention from Freda and he has now turned to me. In the process of trying to make things work between him and Freda, we started talking more often and hanging out together more often. He started out by complaining about Freda’s attitude and her arrogance and said if he had known he would have asked me out from the first day. Recently, he came to me and told me that it is me he wants to go out with now and that he is no longer interested in Freda. He said he not only wants to go out with me, but would like to marry me because he has seen that I am a good woman. I won’t lie to you, I will not mind going out with him or getting married to him, but my problem is that Freda would see it as a betrayal on my part. I had told him this when he asked me out but he refuted it that he never had anything to do with Freda as they never really went out so I have no reason to be afraid. I have been married for over 6 year. My wife has been living in pretense and that has ruined our marriage. She cheats on me with a very old man capable of being her grand father. She is a health worker and the man is an independent doctor. When I confronted her she denied and rained abuses on me. Little did I know that this same relationship robbed her of her first fiancé. The guy discovered her attachment to the doctor and jilted her after they have courted for close to 3 years. The guy that jilted her before me happened to be a key sponsor in her education in health field.
It has dawned on me that she rather sacrifice her marriage and family rather than severing her illicit relationship with this old doctor.
Right now we have been separated for close to a year with no hope of re-union. I have stopped calling her and the kids also. I intend conducting paternal test for the kids ownership but has not mustered the courage because of its long-term effect on the lives of those kids. I have another crush on a health worker also but it seems she is not so keen in serious relationship with me because of my marital status. I have had series of bed time with her as a result of long term abstinence since my wife deserted the home. We had lived in Dublin Ireland all these while until I came back to Nigeria last year because of the misunderstanding I had with my wife. The issues that led to this misunderstanding are so much but maybe I should tell the story from the beginning so you can understand me better. I traveled to UK in 2005 after working for sometime in Nigeria and gathering enough money that would sponsor my post graduate studies. I had promised my wife, who was then my girlfriend that I will send for her to join me as soon as I am able to. True to my words, I sent for her a year later amidst protest from my family members who were angry that instead of carrying my younger ones so that the burden will be less on me, I took my girlfriend. That was how I brought her from Nigeria and we got married a year later. We have been living together in peace and harmony until about three years ago when she started moving with some group of Nigerian ladies who have been indoctrinating her with this women liberation attitude of these western women that the woman is the owner of the home and all that rubbish. She started out by questioning my every movement and picking up quarrel unnecessarily. Things she has not been doing. I know my wife and I know what she is capable of doing so when these strange behavior started coming out, I knew there was something wrong. I am not the philandering type of man and my wife knows this so when she began to question my activities and picking up quarrels unnecessarily I became worried. I have tried unsuccessfully to disassociate her from these Nigerian ladies who are from the pit of hell and are either single or divorced. It got up to a stage that my wife called the police for me twice. Something she would never had done ordinarily. It was at this stage that I decided to leave the house and leave Dublin entirely before she sends me to jail. It’s getting to a year now that I have left Dublin and luckily for me, some of my friends have gone into politics back home here, so they have been helping me with contracts and I am doing just fine over here. However in the past three months, my wife has been calling me to beg me to return back to Dublin. She told me she has changed and that I should please come back home for the sake of the children. I really don’t want to stay apart from my kids but I am so skeptical about her and don’t know if I should believe her or not. Do you think it will be wise to go back? And how best do I handle this?

It’s totally not funny how banks operating in Nigeria tend to want to misbehave and not care about their customers, which is their worst flaw even, their total lack of customer care ethics. 2015, things have gotten even worse with these banks where you see banks only accepting deposit transactions as a means to get money to run business for that day. Could the lack of funds be as a result of the electioneering period where lots of money had to be liquidated for campaign expenses? Could it be something different? What do you think? I have been friends with Braimah for over twenty five years. We are both in our mid forties and are happily married with kids. Although Braimah is somebody that has a very terrible attitude that people tend to run away from him or avoid him, I have always tolerated him and accepted him. Of all our friends back then in school I am the only one that has maintained and kept our friendship till date. For the past three years, I have been the one taking care of Braimah and his responsibilities because he has been unable to keep a job down. I am quite sure this is due to his overbearing attitude. Late last year Braimah came to me with a proposal that he submitted with an oil company. He said that the company is ready to give him the contract but he does not have the funds to sponsor the contract or even a registered company that can handle it. He offered that we both partner on this and that I should submit my company and sponsor the contract and anything that comes from it we both split it halfway. I agreed with him and went on to do the needful. I registered my company with the oil company and did all the registration with all the agencies involved and eventually the contract was given to us. Because of my job, I knew I would not be dispose to running around so I left everything for Braimah to handle. I even made him a signatory to the account we opened at the bank against the advice of the bankers who argued that since he was not a director in the company, he cannot be a signatory but I wrote an undertaking to overshadow that and eventually he was made a signatory. Now the first installment of payment ought to have been made since March this year, but it was not made. When I inquired from Braimah he said it was due to the fact that our tax clearance was expired. I quickly disburse a hundred thousand naira to him to rectify this so that we can quickly be paid, but the story was still the same. Unknown to me, the money has since been paid and I was not aware of it. I noticed that all of a sudden he started avoiding me. Braimah that used to resume and close with me in my office everyday of the week as if he is a staff in the company where I work suddenly stopped coming to my office. Anytime I call him he is always busy. It now became obvious he was avoiding me. I sensed something wasn’t right so I went to the bank to make enquiries and it was then I found out that we have been paid the sum of Fifteen million naira since April. He had withdrawn the whole money and vanished into thin air. This is somebody that I have been taking care of, since he lost his job. Now tell me my friends why I should not commit murder, if a friend can betray you like this?

The problem I am having right now is my boss. My boss is a fifty something years old woman; although I must confess that she doesn’t look her age. She is such a ravishing beauty with a shape to die for. Most times her backside is often a topic of discussion between the guys within the office. And on one occasion, she walked in on us discussing her shape and I was the one she caught red handed talking about her. She had immediately summoned me to her office and ordered the rest people back to their workstations. She was the very stern type and everybody in the office is often afraid of her because she never fails to issue you query upon the slightest offense. All my other colleagues had thought I was done for on that day, but on getting to her office, she handed me an assignment to go and work on, and warned me to stop engaging myself in idle talk with those laid back people, referring to my other colleagues. From that day onward she has taken a special interest on me and has not failed to show her fondness for me. We both live in the same area and so she picks me up from house in morning and drops me off at night. In fact I am the one that even drives her car. Recently, she has been making passes at me indicating she wants to sleep with me. She is married for crying out loud! and I won’t want to sleep with a married woman. Last week, she opened up to me and told me that she has not had sex for the past three years. She said her hubby was in his late seventies and is very sick and can hardly get it up, so invariably she’s asking me to help her out. If there is something my father has always told me is never to sleep with a married woman; although I have not given her a straight answer yet, because I am dead scared that if I refuse, that will be the beginning of my problem at work. Right now, I am enjoying all the privileges of her friendship and there are indications that I would rise swiftly on my job if I have her backings but then, how can I avoid sleeping with her?

My father is a retired civil servant while my mother is just a petty trader who sells provision in the market; so things are not really rosy for us as my parents are just struggling to make ends meet. However, even in the midst of these difficulties, my parents made sure that they sent all six of us to school, up to the university level. On my own part, I got admitted into the University at the age of 19, and had thought that all things been equal I would graduate by the time I am 23. However on entering into school, I got carried away with the euphoria of campus life, and got involved with bad friends who got me involved in so many things that I am even ashamed to write about here. In the long run, I got expelled from the school for cult activities after spending close to six years on campus because I could not even graduate with my mates as at the time I was suppose to graduate. It was after my expulsion, that I realized what mess I had got myself into. How can I go home to tell my parents that I have been expelled for cult activities after they have suffered so much to make sure my siblings and I get good education? I stayed back on campus and refused to tell anyone in my family what had happened, not even my siblings. I later told them that I had graduated and have been posted to Kogi state for my NYSC. During that year I was supposed to be doing youth service, I stayed with a friend who was posted there and came back home after a year. Since then I have been living with my parents under the guise that I am looking for a job but have not been able to secure one due to the rate of unemployment. Recently, my mum spoke with her younger brother on my predicament and he asked me to send him my CV. Just last week here, I received a letter of employment from one of the telecoms company where his wife is working, that I should report to their head office with copies of my credentials . Now my secret is about to be blown open because I do not have any credential to submit. There is no hiding place for me on this because I cannot make up any excuse why I should not go for the job. Please friends, I need you to help me out here and tell me what I should do.

My Wife of almost 20yrs, runs a flourishing and lucrative retail outlet; with very good daily turnover! Coincidentally, I discovered that one of the sales girls, that happens to be the one she likes and trusts most, lives big and very above the meagre salary she earns. From my private forensic fact finding, I discovered that she daily steals from the sales proceed. Yet, my wife so love and adore this young girl, to the extent of insisting that she will quite our marriage, should I terminate this pilfering sales girl!!!!. After enduring for almost a year, I eventually insisted and terminated this girl's appointment, with our organization and got a better replacement. I just made the most shocking discovery today and I am at loss as to what to do about this. I came home today and found my younger brother having sex with my housemaid. I have always hated the idea of having a maid in the house, most especially considering the fact that a lot of them are not trustworthy, but my wife being a career woman had insisted on having one to take care of the kids and the home, since she cannot combine all these with her work. At a point this was almost turning into a major issue in our home, until I had to give in to let peace reign. We have two kids, the eldest being a boy 3 years old and the younger one is just nine months old. My younger brother who has just graduated and is awaiting his call up has been living with me since he graduated. This morning I went to work as usual but on getting to the office I realize that I forgot my flash drive at home and it contained some sensitive information that I will be needing in the office so I had to drive back home to pick it up. On getting home, I packed my car outside and let myself into the house. On entering the house, I saw my nine month old baby sleeping soundly on the couch in the living room, but my younger brother and maid were nowhere around. Instincts just told me to check the rooms and there they were having the fun of their life. My problem now is whether to tell my wife, or not. I know that if I insist on the maid leaving the house it will lead to another round of problem because my wife will surely kick against it. But I am no more comfortable with leaving my kids with this girl. As for my younger brother, I have already told him he will be leaving, although he has been sending me text messages and begging for forgiveness. How do you think I should handle this?
