firstolalekan:Son of Mohammed, the paedophile! Your Quran is nothing but a conspiracy to cover-up lies from the pit of hell. On creation of the earth, it says in less than one day Sura 41 verse 9, in verse 10 it recorded two days, in verse 12 it mentioned seven heavens that were created in two days. When Mohammed heard of Biblical account of six days, he quickly used Sura 7:54, 10:3 and 32:4 to cover the lies. Which son did God promised Abraham, the Quran says Isaq (Isaac) in Sura 11:69-73, but the Islamic world did a cover-up that it was Ishmael. Another lie that the Quran descended from heaven, far from it, it was inscribed on pieces of papyrus, flat stones, shoulder blades and ribs of animals, pieces of leather, wooden boards, bark of trees and so on. It was later compiled at about thirty years after the death of Mohammed on the order of Abu Bakr, who was the Khalif. When Umar became the Khalif, he continued the project and kept it with Hafsah his daughter who was Mohammed's wife. The text of ibn Mas'ud deemed to be the most reliable was ignored. On the authority of Anas ibn Maalik, many sects developed because of various versions. Zaid ibn Thabith headed the editorial board that edited the Quran and produced a single copy. Other manuscript which were compiled and being recited in Syria, Iraq and Armenia were retrieved and destroyed. More facts still to come on satanic religion called Islam. |
gemale:You made my day. Any time someone demand for a complete x-ray of tithe payment as a christian doctrine in the new testament, they will quickly shout the person down and quote Malachi 3:10. Like you said, tithe relates to the Levites in Israel because they shall have no inheritance in Israel, Numbers 18:25-26. Abraham paid tithe from the spoils of war also known as battle of kings, Genesis 14:1-20. The tithes to be brought to the holy place is "the tithe of tithes" and not the tithes of the children of Israel, Numbers 18:28. |
thesicilian:May his soul Rest-In-Peace. Above quote is a very reckless statement I have seen in decades. Although, there is need to confirm or refute the allegation of wrong drug prescription, it is incredible to be trapped in fallacy of hasty generalisation by saying that speaking up against perceived misdemeanor of medical personnel relates to unsuccessful attempt to become a medical expert by profession. It is equally laughable to cite the outcomes of research as a basis for this conclusion. What is population of the research? Is the sample a representative of the population? Does the research comply with the law of statistical inertia? What is level of confidence and degree of freedom? There is no need to engage in corporate defence of any profession. Individual practitioner should be grounded in their professional calling, be ethical in practice and be ready to be vicariously liable for professional misconduct. |
I think in Investigative Journalism, there is need for cause and effect, root cause(s) and remote cause(s), before drawing conclusions. During GEJ era, the Agency has been using this particular name. I do not see any controversy. The Ministry of Finance even described the organisation as "Department of State Security / Directorate of State Security" on the Federation Budget Platform. My take is that the Federal Government should empower the organisation to be more effective in its domestic intelligence gathering efforts. Since the establishment of the organisation is tailored towards the US FBI, British MI6 and Russian KGB, its effectiveness devoid of religious and ethnic sentiments will be better for the country. |
goodieuzo:The materials are very easy to buy. It has two components, viz: the POP cement and the POP sponge. The sponge are the same, but the cement varies in quality and prices. The best quality is called "Molda 3" and the price is around N2,400 or N2,500 depending on your bargaining ability. You may even get it lesser than the quoted prices. There are Molda 1 & 2, which are inferior in quality to Molda 3. The cheapest of the three is Molda 1. Insist that you want Molda 3, because they will try to swindle you by saying it is not the market or the quantity they got will not be enough or you can only get it in Lagos. All their tricks are aimed at getting more profits from the work at your expense. Also, ensure that you supervised the materials, because they can bring entirely different ones and hide the bags or replaced them with bags from another site. Even though it is cheaper to buy materials, but they can make you to spend more money by deliberate wastage. For instance, instead of molding more boards from a bag, they will mold less than required just to make you regret buying the materials. |
The conventional asbestos ceiling is cheaper than PVC, while POP is the costliest of the three categories. It all depends on your budget. Recently, I did a 4-bedroom flat in my village, the POP that would have cost me N480,000, eventually cost N510,000 because of inflation rate in the country. The POP Specialists charge the fees by square metre. Like in my case, the agreement was N2,500 per square metre but I ended with N3,500 before the completion of the work. If you are the one that will buy the materials, then you can negotiate N700 per square metre as labour. Best of luck!! |
When the story was first published in one of the national dailies, it was reported that the murder suspect was very generous to the brothers of the slain lady. Unfortunately, her brothers failed to persuade her to marry him. He perceived the mother as an enemy because she refused to intervene by persuading her daughter to yield to his marriage request. There was no record indicating that she ever agreed to marry him or accept any gift from him. In my humble opinion, I think what existed between the duo may qualify as obsession, because if you really love someone and the person decline your marriage proposal, it is not wise to commit murder under whatever guise. |
kinzmen:God will punish your generation. You this bastard child of cursed parents. Idiot!! |
I read some of the contributions regarding this topic. I do not see any controversy in the Federal Government policy direction. The facts are: (1) The current intakes of HND students will be the last set to be issued with the certificate. (2) All non-science / technology-based courses in Polytechnics will be scrapped. (3) Polytechnics will award ND certificates in science-based disciplines only. (4) All FG owned Polytechnics will be colleges under proximate FG Universities, Vice-Chancellors will appoint Provosts for affiliated Polytechnics, while their ND holders who desire further studies will be awarded B.Tech by those Universities. (5) HND certificates will remain legal tender in Nigeria and it is equivalent to Degree. I think graduates should develop capacities to deliver to the best of their ability in various places of engagements. |
The Senior Lawyer just displayed selective amnesia. He cited the National Security Agencies Act by mentioning "Crimes against internal security in Nigeria", but failed to mention " Economic crimes of National Security dimension in Nigeria". Since the DSS has the powers to investigate matters relating to breach of security, law and order, and transfer the outcome to the Attorney-General of the Federation for onward prosecution. Then, the case of budget padding should not be an exception. If one is not guilty of any wrong-doing, why the jittery. Some maxims of equity are: He who seek equity, must do equity. He who comes to equity, must come with clean hands. Delay defeats equity, equity aids the vigilant. |
Timi Agbale Olofa Ina, Olofa baba! HRM M.A. Lawal happened to be the best Lecturer of Quantitative Techniques that OSPOLY, Iree has ever produced. In 2003/2004 Academic session, we students of Accountancy will struggle to secure seats in our lecture hall because students from Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing and even Purchasing and Supply will bombard us to listen to him. Even though, he is serving humanity in another capacity, the academic world will greatly miss him. Long live Oba Alayeluwa!! |
Failure in the Bar final examinations is just a temporary setback for the affected candidates. History has it that the Late Gani Fawehinmi graduated with a 3rd Class Degree and eventually turned out to be one of the finest Legal Practitioners ever produced by the country. Fashola equally failed this particular exam at his first sitting and later became a SAN while in practice. Exams are not the true test of intelligence, but the simplest means of assessment and grading. Some causative factors of failing exams include, but not limited to: misinterpretation of question, inadequate preparation, dearth of relevant textbooks and research materials, emotional and psychological instability, combining tedious work schedule with studies, family problems amongst others. |

Even if you sacrifice quality and get cheap labour, 6.5m cannot complete a six-bedroom duplex. If your foundation is DBC (German floor), it will cost about 0.5m on the average. Blocks: 9000 9" @N150 is about N1.350m for ordinary blocks and N1.8m for stone dust. Cement: Block work, plastering, beams, decking & other ancillary works, say about 0.9m. Others are electrical works, tiling, ceiling, wardrobes, plumbing etc. |
I think he lives in one of Abuja surburbs. I have sighted him once in AYA roundabout. |

Beating up one's wife is more than meet the eye. A man had quarrel with his wife. She dressed up on sunday and left the house without disclosing where she was going because of the quarrel. He went to the church and from there drove to his cousin's house. When he came back, she had locked the entrance door from the back. He knocked the door severally and she refuse to open it. He waited in the car for about two hours, then went to the window of the room to tell her to open the door. She asked him to go back to where he was coming from and that he does not have the right to leave the house without disclosing his whereabout. He asked her whether she informed him where she went to and threatened to break the door because he can never be a slave in his own house. She dared him, he brought a welder that forced the door open around 10pm. He sat in the living room taking apple and a can soft drinks. She came out from the room and started making jest of him about destroying his own property and paying a welder in that regard. When she was frustrated by his refusal to reply her, she took his drinks and pour it to his face. He beat the woman and she was hospitalised. |
Life is a learning process from birth to grave. It is very important to recall a particular topic in Communication in English termed "Register". The topic has to do with 'technical jargons' used by professionals in different fields. Its determinants include: mode of discourse, field of discourse and means of discourse among others. (My humble opinion). |
A tribalistic jobless person like the poster hardly go far in life. Tell us your tribe because you sound senseless. |

Applying in the current First Bank recruitment exercise should not pose a problem to anyone. Even those expecting calls from FBN should apply, as this will widen their chances. Afterall, there is no harm in trial. |
