Its really sad indeed. ![]() It just shows the plight of appalling leadership we face in Nigeria. In a state with 70% illiteracy & almost 80% live below the poverty line ![]() From a scientific point of view,Yuguda would need either 'burantashi' or viagra to keep up with the task of servicing his 4 wifes, now in a time of economic recession, dwindling oil receipts & credit cruch, this man is going to include aphodisiacs into Bauchi state government balance sheet?? ![]() This is a sign for those who still believe in this present crop of leaders !!! |
With all due respect, this just confirms that we really need to understand each others culture better. I can't imagine giving my daughter to my friend as a third or fourth wife. From my side of town,if you really want to cement friendship ,you try to get your daughter to marry your friend's SON Imagine this old guy that has seen all that life has to offer ,penetrating this beautiful looking virgin ![]() |
Give Yuguda 2 months from now,he'll be back in PDP ! Dejavu : https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-61668.0.html |
superboi:You have hit the nail on the head ! Every crime should be investigated, but the views of both sides of the divide tell it all: Once Christians are slaughtered in the North, you never see any high powered federal govt panel, but once 'they' are at the receiving end,you get things like state of emergency(courtesy mumu OBJ) and the like. This is the point I have been trying to make,no one is pointing fingers ,but until we really sit down and tell ourselves some truth . . . . . . . . . . Abu maryam,Muza, please tell me: Where are the killers of the teacher in bauchi(or Gombe)? Where ae the killers of the Christians in Borno? Was there a Fed Govt probe of Kaduna,Kano,Gombe,Maiduguri,Sokoto,Bauchi riots of 2000-2007? |
Please send your wishes to the latest celebrity couple in town !
|
Do I smell Dariye style 'state of emergency'? |
blinx4real:Very simple answer- remember Ribadu,El-Rufai,daramola(ekiti)? Get involved with Nigerian politics at your own peril my friend. Online blogging ,commentary has proven to be an effective tool for sensitizing & mobilizing people. You should only get involved with PDP & co if you can handle Area boys, hand guns & machetes effectively,ok? |
When you say " Alaafin should pray very hard" what does this mean? ![]() If he dies or something really bad happens to him, you'll say " I prophecied" , if on the other hand nothing happens you say " Remember I asked him to pray". ![]() Prophecies are by definition something that WILL happen, why all the drama?? ![]() Even if God had revealed something concerning the Alaafin specifically, you should tell him(Alaafin) & not the press. ![]() Just my 2 cents ! ![]() |
Need I say more ? ![]() |
Kuns:'Mother' worship is idolatary-recall mystery Babylon in Revelations. Its also the cornerstone of the occultic world like Ogboni(Omun ya dun !),Freemasons etc |
olabowale:Alfa,no need for this ok? Just prove your point & I do same ! olabowale:Although your lengthy response actually doesn't address the issues raised. . . . . . . . . . . . . This is precisely the point I want you to arrive at. Never present the Holy Koran as been the 'perfect' Holy book & christians as confused people. The same way you attempt to misread the bible & present it as fact has just been given to you. I'm watching you, alfa ! |
I really shouldn't be the one defending Sharia how did I get myself into this in the first place? ,however I need to expand on some issues:4 Play:Like every successful nation/state ,strong leadership(aided by religious beliefs) coupled with common values& beliefs ultimately have a huge part to play in achieving any vision. The common faith & belief system tend to give any plan some foundation and direction. Homogeneity(in this case with respect to religion, language & race) in itself has really helped the gulf states. In the absence of common causes(fight against apartheid(ZA),against colonialism, royalty(US,Russia),the rich(Cuba). Religion serves as a rallying point for people& this creates the necessary platform for growth, development & stability. I dare say there's a gross absence of anything like this in Nigeria today! 4 Play:Thats pecisely my point.Only in a deeply religious environment can this hold sway, while I may have disgreements, the fact is that it brings enourmous benefits to its people, which to me should be the sole goal of any leadership. As Seun(N'land Admin) once posulated I think he quoted some old sage, the best form of govt 9in his opinion)is a benevolent dictatorship 4 Play:You may need to update yourself ,have a look at this recent article in the Economist http://www.economist.com/sponsor/qfc/index.cfm?pageid=article104 ,you can search for more. The Islamic banking world has been largely unaffected by the Global Financial crises. 4 Play:I'm not saying Sharia(as I pointed out there are different shades to this) is the only reason for their prosperity,my points above should suffice. |
Thank you for solving this 2 year riddle with your 1st post. Welcome !! |
4 Play:It does have its good sides. I have lived in the gulf before, their Sharia is not zamfara style,'cut-Adamu's hand-for stealing cow-while Gov steals N billions' . To a large extent their kind of Sharia guarantees some measure of equity, guaranteed services, welfarism(certainly linked to gov receipts !) etc. Also it has a big impact on interest free financing which is good for business. We can't also completely seperate a stable/predictable cultural environment from business successes. |
4 Play:Correction-contributed. We equally have large hydrocarbon deposits, agreed larger population, but Sharia govs&Emirs(tho' a recent phenomenom here) don't live the priciples of Sharia ! |
Sharia has lead to great things in other countries(esp the Gulf) except Nigeria. Thei leaders deliberately make their countries safe ,habitable etc,but Nigeria's emirs don't give. . . . . . . & like someone says illiteracy is a big problem. By God's grace Nigeria will Never be divided,we will live together & get out of this mess together, but we need the buy-in of our very powerful Northern elite(led by the Emirs). They must realise stealing and capitalising on religion, illiteracy,Almajiri isn't going to take the country anywhere !!! |
zoomzu:zoomzu, Aren't u lettered? ![]() State your case without resorting to all these written drama. Take time to read my posts above ,ok? OGD isn't performing now, abi? ![]() Dats ur point? ![]() |
![]()
@poster If u don't knw no silver bullet will take away Emirs in todays contry so-called Nigeria. Those Emirs are the golden hand wrapping what u knw today as Nigeria. Amalgamation of Southern protectorate nd the northern protectorate is the solid and foundatmental downfall of Arewa. Go back to history, before the coming of the so-called colonial masters Arewa waz a developed and a civilise region in western Sahara. There waz trading and farming. People in the region are wearing clothe unlike their counter part in south who leave in wild. Ask Your grand father. They ve government, law and order waz existing long before your grandfather start wearing clothe. Thats why rule waz indirect in northern region. You bear me witness if you go school. whats is happening is the batrayal of your forefathers. We gave them trust and use our Economy to exploid the resources in Niger Delta. And one night u want to quit. For where. The Emirs are the one have the Army and everythng if u point ur useless finger the finishe u. A good news. Very soon we are going to give u independance but i ve heard Niger Deltans will not join ur nation. Sad story.
Abu-Maryam,how is Maryam? I'm happy you live in an Islamic country-Saudi,I just hope you're not one of the Emir's children ! ![]() You must have visited other Muslim countries in that region I am sure. We both agree on one thing, which is that the Emirs wield enormous power, why is it then I ask you the Northern region is nothing compared to where you are right now? They control government, army etc. . . . .to what effect? ![]() So the earlier we relegate them to history or turn them to tourist artifacts, the better. & don't give us that crap that the amalgamation hindered the North. . . puhleeeze ! |

olabowale:@Olabowale, How can you say Muslims don't believe in multiple godheads? Question 1. Are there more than one *Allah* as creator in the Islam? The Qur'an says an emphatic YES!! Read the following: Sura 6 vs.94 "And behold! ye come to Us bare and alone as We created you for the first time: ye have left behind you all (the favours) which We bestowed on you. . ." Sura 7 vs.11 "It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who prostrate." Q.23 vs.12 "Verily We created man from a product of wet earth" Q.51 vs.47-49 "And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are the makers of things ample. . .And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out. . . And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction." Question 2. Are there more than one *Allah* that people pray to in Islam? The Qur'an says an emphatic YES!! See for yourself: Sura 10 vs.12 "When trouble toucheth a man, he crieth unto Us (in all postures)- lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes!" Question 3. Are there more than one *Allah* that is being worshipped in Islam? Qur'an answers with an emphatic YES!! Check it out for yourself: Q.21 vs.73 "And We made them Imams who guided (people) by Our command, and We revealed to them the doing of good and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of the alms, and Us (alone) did they serve" (translated by Pickthal, the verse truly reads: "and they were worshippers of Us (alone)." - meaning that more than one *allah* is being worshipped by Muslims and they don't even know it!!). The Qur'an even states that this polytheistic gods in Islam will be the judges of all Muslims: Q.21 vs.35 "Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial. to Us must ye return." So, Olabowale. . . your 'monotheism' is actually polytheism disguised. |
@Pastor-Plenty mad men on N'land .olabowale:Really wonder why 'Muslims' resort to violence at the slightest provocation? |
"Weeping may endure for a night. . . . . ." Our own weeping for Nigeria no de get end? |
And this will be really difficult to stop becos the Holy Prophet(pbuh) married Aisha when she was six !!! |
4 Play:I'm sorry I'm not cut out for such. I guess our dialogue ends here ! Bye ! |
4 Play:Believe me it would have done the US and everyone else a world of good. One of the first laws in general management is to avoid as much as possible other people's problems ! Another clear case of Superman GWB's high handedness. 4 Play:So who should determine the rules of engagement in a Multilateral world? GWB? ![]() 4 Play:Correction,States. Last time I checked,Spain,UK,Germany,Italy all had some form of Al-Qaeda attack or threat, yet - NO GITMO 4 Play:Fine,I raised is from your previous assertion that the US had to adjust the rules of engagement in view of the enemy. This simple can't hold !! 4 Play:Is it just me or you can't seem to complete a paragraph without expletives? Like I said I appreciate America's unique circumstances post -911,however multilateralism that saw the end of the 2 world wars and arguably the Cold war,is the solution not the mess reffered to as 'Bush Doctrine', GWB's war on terror' & of course GITMO ! |
He's another foolish guy probably high on something. He should be made to repay every kobo !! |
Igba yi l'aro ! We really need to fix the electoral system. Because these twats always asume they will always come back to power via rigging, police,Iwu etc, they really don't care if they peform or not. Imagine telling us YOU WILL perform halfway through your 4 year term ![]() |
What Rick Waren infers is that Jews,Mulims Hindus etc can't get into the Christian Heaven. Why do people have a problem with that? |
4 Play:Like I said these detainees aren't stateless,if indeed the have committed crimes ,the prevailing laws in their countries should hold sway ! i don't need to go to the whole torture thingy & Human rights charter etc ! You will agree the convention assumes conflict between two states? Becuase how else can you determine the 'duration' of the war? Now we have a conflict between a state(US,Western World) and an amorphous organistaion, one would think the right thing to do in such circumstances in to get a binding UN resolution which everyone agrees with. Mind you this isn't the first time a state would fight a terrorist org. I know you will tell me there wasn't time but that just points back to the incompetece of GWB & his 'all star team'. 4 Play:This is so,so wrong. So because Al Qaeda totures captured US soldiers ,the US can do the same? Because they behead POWs,they should likewise be beheaded. Thats the summation of the war on terror. The fact is you either go down to their level (in which case they can declare victory for adequately changing your ways &systems) or you maintain your really 'high standards' and use your means to force them to conform? Finally, high handedness(e.g Gitmo) never got any country anywhere & its sadly one of the things GWB(a man that shares many aspects of my beliefs) would be remembered for. |
I guess the ruling conforms with Sharia law. Are we sure this isn't being practised in Nigeria already? |
