Eagle1:You're just talking. . . . . I agree there's still alot to be done. I trust OGD will deliver,remember he's aiming for Senate in 2011. |
RichyBlacK:I'm sure you meant infinite ![]() |
Tornadoz:This is a genuine question for our inept African leaders. |
Anybody wey say witch no de,de fool imsef ! |
scottN:I no dey o ! ![]() |
The fact remains that we have three classes of traditional rulers, the Emirs have woven themselves into the fabric of the Federal government. The Igwes,Obas are mainly operating (not rightly so however) on the state level as essentially local champions. I dare anyone to disprove my analysis. |
dremoney:Beg ke? ![]() E mi omo ti'ya bi ? Just stick to facts. . . . . . |
Because he is arguably one of America's worst presidents not forgetting the fact that he doesn't give two fcuks about blacks
I'm not a Bush fan,but I don't agree that he's racist, apart from Condi, the emergency plan for Africa & his record visits here, his pastor is black. I agree with David, this journalist could not have contemplated this action during Sad mad man Hussein's era. The shoe throwing leaves a bitter taste in the mouth and sorely embarrases the Iraqi Prime Minister.

Gambari pa Fulani . . . . . . . . .? |

Bush Stoned With Shoe Bush stoned with shoe in Iraq . See him taking cover: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/12/14/bush-targeted-by-iraqi-shoe-thrower/ |
Sharia + Emirs |
bawomolo:That's precisely how an illiterate would ask about oxygen. |
hey, relax guys, the point I'm trying to make is that we all believe in this oxygen theory becos we were exposed to the principles. Now suppose someone told you there was no such thing as Oxygen becos there couldn't 'see' it ,does that eliminate the fact that it exists? The spiritual world is real and different religions have their own descriptions of these things. |
Can you see oxygen? Whats d proof you're actually taking in oxygen? |
Well said dear |
Funmi, This guys are heavy jazz men,de don do enuf scarfice to steal the future of unsuspecting/unspiritual youth. |
Eagle1:Eagle1,your post honestly adds more heat than light to the current discourse ![]() |
![]() maybe yours not mine ![]() so tell me why is Halim sad ?
Probably just got jilted ![]() The prolem with these people is that their children will always live in the shadow of their dad's corrupt life style. I feel kind of sad for them,it can be really lonely there |
But the Emirs understand the politics of patronage more than anyone else. |
The fact remains that there exists a spiritual world parallel to our physical world. Atheists seek medical/psychological solutions to their own 'attacks' while religious people attack the spiritual causes. One thing I am very sure about however is that drug use(cocaine, heroin etc) is associated with demonic influences. |
Lets start a movement to stop this Emirates in Nigeria. They siphoning all our money. |
dremoney:Oloshi, them swear for you? ![]() Which wan be dead brain for this one, now? Stick to the issues. If you don't agree with me,present your facts . . .don't resort to cheap insults, knowing fully well you get a bigger dose in return. Ogidi Omo defeated Osoba in 2003 hands down,Osoba himself knew this was going to happen ,2 days to the election he was apologising on AIT to whomever he had 'offended' to forgive him ![]() 2007- rather than rally behind one candidate, the opposition divided their votes between ;Amosun,Kaka & Dipo Dina(the man who could not manage 'Flavours ' successfully). Like i said, state the facts don't defile this lovely thread with falsehood. Remember Obasanjo lost his polling booth in 1999,so who is he as per politics in Ogun state, talkless of Nigeria? He only complicated the whole thing with his 'do-or-die' approach as was witnesssed in Kogi,Cross Rivers,Adamawa etc where PDP was clearly in the majority ,but the immaturity of OBJ politically caused the elections to be re-run with same results . |
dremoney:How can any right thinking person call Obasanjo, ogidi omo's 'benefactor'? Please review your history lessons. The man is much more intelligent than most governor's I know. Nigerians are always quick to ascribe tribal sentiments to everything. How can anyone opine that 'he's focusing on Ijebu,Sagamu'? ![]() Ask yourself, what has Iyabo Obasanjo done to warrant her bravado? Who is she? |
make una leave 'ogidi omo' o !!! ![]() |
We all know Nigerian muslims are the most hypocritcal & shallow minded in the world. They hardly read the Koran, but are quick to criticise everybody. Remember the Danish cartoon controversy, where some Nigerians were killed? US invaded Afghanistan, christians' homes, churches were burnt ! Imagine someone agreeing that anyone that converts from Islam should killed?! Please get it in your head,if indeed you are worshipping God Almighty(capital 'G'),you can't fight for Him! He created heaven, earth & all human beings,He can destroy anyone He so desires without your help, just as He created them(humans) without anybody's help. Stop trying to 'help' God,just read your Holy book ,study the tenets and practise 'peace' ! |
Michelin,but u know now , . . . |
the fact remains that it will NEVER happen ! |
Let me start by saying Michelin types crap over 70% of the time ! As per culture, the fact is that our women love the 'culture' when it suits them, but blame the men when it doesn't. Whether we like it or not ,our culture, background etc, rings a measure of stability to one's life. Gone are the days when the family must see blood stained white cloth on wedding nite,God please help us |
A great man inDEED. |
I have reviewed the whole political thingy in Nigeria & I think the problem emanates from the very top - Sultan and his Emirs. Until we get rid of these guys who thrive on reaping where they have not sown ,we will continue to have problems. My solution is this- they either become traditional rulers and shed their religious garb,or become full time religious leaders without official recognition(&patronage) from government. A country like Kuwait with less than 5% of our population but about half our GDP services only one EMIR,Nigeria on the other hand services one Sultan and at least 9 other EMIRS ![]() This is done directly through government receipts + local govt allocation & indirectly through contracts and top jobs to their cohorts. When will these madness stop? All these does little to prevent the killing of innocent Nigerians ? So please lets discuss how this can be achieved. |
The solution is simple- death sentence for anyone who kills or instructs others to kill in the name of Allah ! Bt this will never see the light of day ! |
