No you shouldn’t have allowed the mechanic tamper with the idle on the replacement throttle body. I think you should have returned it and told him to give you another one to test first.

You say the behavior of the vehicle didn’t improve after you first changed the throttle body, did you try to at least drive it for a few kilometers before you had to increase the rpm? Is it only when the ac is on that the issue occurs? Meaning does the vehicle drive and shift gears normally without the ac on?

How long have you been driving with this replacement throttle body? The codes could be stored in the ecu and need clearing.

Did you do any work on your vehicle before the noise started?

I believe your vehicle has an axle. If you’re sure it’s not from your engine or gearbox then you’d need to further pinpoint the source of the noise.

The APC failed government and PDP failed opposition want to play a simple game of checkers with Peter Obi and nnamdi kanu.

They want to calm the tensions in the south east as their first game plan. This is to ensure they can be campaigns there without ugm disruptions.

I can't say if it had been tampered with or not. But what it does is this; while on motion there's an erratic jerk(not so much), then the gear stalls. Acceleration will be slow. When engine is switched off and on, it moves fine till it happens again.

So far as when you switch off the engine and put it on again it functions properly then it means the issue is electrical.

I believe the sensor is bad. You’d need to buy another one and fix.

Yesterday with my gentle face I enrolled into felicity school of hoodlum... I was taking a rider to impressive close during traffic period and the customer decided to go to ICM so I decided to make a turn instead of entering impressive close and coming out back, most driver gave the chance after I beg but I couldn't make a full turn and while trying to reverse back and complete the turn a a jeep smash my back light and scratch my car... I came down shouted with my low voice but the driver and the passenger he took overpowered me and blamed me I was angry and not ready to let go but nothing I could do and they decide to drive away but before they drove off, I smash the back light of the car and they where force to stop and fight start thank God for people around I they for mob me but at the end we all went out separate ways to fix our light after they threaten to bring down my car.....

Lesson learnt patience is Key in Life..

It’s always this way when you’re driving alone and have a ‘bashing’ incident with another vehicle with more than one occupant.

They will always side their person. In Nigeria if a danfo driver bashes you and you come out to hold him his passengers will all gather and fight you even if they know the danfo driver was wrong. What of when all these hausa okada rides drive dangerously and they almost fall you’d still see their passengers following them to abuse you while knowing how stupidly the okada was waving through traffic. Instead of them to caution the driver they will face you the innocent person in the situation.

It’s the way Nigeria is. I’m glad you damaged their own vehicle back, it’s better you two go and sort out your respective damages apart than to allow them zoom off laughing at your loss.

Fuel additives.

The black carbon is dry, not oily.

Your engine is running rich, too much fuel is getting into your cylinders for combustion.

There are only 2 causes of this issue,

1. either your oxygen sensors are not the right type for your vehicle but your brainbox sees it but forces itself to work with the default parameters available. Honda oxygen sensors resemble each other very much and it’s easy to but a wrong replacement. (I’ve seen people put civic or Acura O2 sensors in their vehicles and still experience high fuel consumption without any check engine lights on)

2. Your fuel injectors are leaking (stuck open), in this case even if you like clean them from now till next year it won’t change anything because it’s not dirt that’s their issue but the spray mechanism is stuck plus it’s not easy for a normal mechanic to know if it’s stuck or not. The best solution will be to replace them with good working ones.

From the way your vehicle drinks fuel, your issue must fall between either of the two options above so far your idle rpm isn’t high due to a vacuum leak

You need someone with a good scan tool to monitor your fuel trims to know for sure where the problem is coming from.

Full tank usually runs for about 130 km before showing yellow on the fuel guage.

When engine is idling or driving you won't see or notice black smoke on cabon coming out from exhaust but if you dip your finger inside the exhaust you will bring out black carbon from the exhaust.

I scanned, it got 02 Sensor 1 and 2 codes. I have changed the sensors. No check engine sign on the dash board again, however, the fuel consumption is till the same, if you dip your finger inside the exhaust pipe, you will still bring out thick black carbon.

I need help, please!!

When last did you check your injectors? A leaking injector can cause your issue if truly your oxygen sensors are good and you have no check engine light on.

The black carbon you feel in your exhaust, is it dry or oily?

Have you ever touched your tps before? Have you changed it in the past? It’s like it’s been tampered with and the settings isn’t as from factory again. What is the issue you currently experience as you drive?

If your tps is still good but the settings has been tampered with then you’d need to use a multimeter to reconfigure it according to factory specs Or you’d have to purchase another tokumbo throttle body/injector mouth.

It’s either the belt isn’t the right size or the adjuster isn’t functioning properly. I will buy another spare belt and keep in my boot if I were you.
