That code is for your secondary heated oxygen sensor. The one under your car near your catalyst. It’s due for a change

From what I have noticed, if you use your vehicle on ehailing and use 20w50 oil and cheap filters , you must change your oil every 2000 miles max. Failure to do that over a period of two years will almost always result in the vehicle developing sludge, shorting oil and subsequent engine failure.

A man who decides to build a small one bedroom bungalow on a quarter plot of land will spend 20% of the amount the next man who builds a mansion on 2 plots of land would spend. They now both have houses in their names but one of them will keep spending more and more to furnish and maintain his house than the other.

You choose to buy a Bugatti veyron and your neighbor chose to buy his Volkswagen Beetle (ijapa) , you both now have vehicles, but only the amount to service the Bugatti veyron will cost 100 times the amount used in purchasing the beetle.

Learn to tailor fit your lifestyle in a way that it will be right in your own eyes first and stop thinking of what others will perceive of the way you’re living it. Just be upright, law abiding and honest in all your endeavors.

Can't speak to older models. But my '14 5 series has white light during the day.
It only turns orange when you turn on the parking or headlights.
Funny enough, if the headlights are on in daytime, the instrument cluster remains white.
The change in the instrument cluster from white to orange is controlled by sensors that are completely independent the headlights.

Yes it’s true, vehicles are machines and things do get screwed up on a whim especially if it’s caused by a factory defect but concerning the issue of hitting your sump on the floor and damaging it to expose an oil leakage I will chalk up to carelessness or inexperience.

I mean, your vehicle is low, the road is terrible yet you decided to chuuk head and even did so without reducing your speed of course anything that happens next is definitely your fault.

Then when I was little, a classmate of mine’s dad was a taxi driver. He had 3 other siblings and that man trained all of them from nursery to university on a regular city taxi service job with his 504. I know this was over 25 years ago but if it was possible then tell me why it isn’t possible now especially as those same city taxis are still very much in operation with family men manning their wheels?

This same question of dashboard illumination was posed daily by BMW owners until BMW engineers explained the rationale behind the orange lights .

Their explanation makes sense to me till this moment. And frankly, that's all that matter to me.

Then why did they now change the cluster design of their more recent models to have just white lights?

I think you should go back to those forums or groups where bmw owners first queried the company concerning the red lights to know why their rationale was no longer viable today

One of the best lights to have in a dashboard is diffused white lights. It is aesthetically pleasing and easy on the eyes and when brightness levels are adjusted accordingly, it driver can read all he needs to read easily and quickly both in day and night driving times.

Exactly. I can never get why those manufacturers used those horrendous blue and red lights in the old models. Thankfully they’ve learned from their mistakes.

Truly these Japanese people tend to think ahead of their time in many things concerning the automobile industry.

Till date Toyota still has the best hybrid system on any vehicle, go figure.

So they’re now wiser than the Japanese who decided to follow a natural white colour instrument cluster.

In the case of engine knocking, compressor seizing or gearbox spoiling it’s all the resultant effects ignorance or improper maintenance.

In the case of accidents I will like to re-introduce you to a fairly old concept called comprehensive insurance

But I remember driving cars like vw golf .vw toureg .opel zafira ,Honda Accord .Honda Element and sharan ..all had yellow lights on the dash .
I'm sure some Toyota have them .I've only driven some at noon .so I've never noticed .

People spend 99% of their entire ownership life of a vehicle in its cockpit. If I was purchasing a car I’d look very closely at its dashboard and how comfy the seats and cargo space are before considering the body style and shape.

Any vehicle with red lights on its cluster will never be owned by me for a long period of time.

Why red throughout? It’s not nice to the eyes at night I swear. Maybe it will need some getting used to but I’d rather have the bulbs for the dials changed to white or light blue

Whenever you’re sitting in a vehicle and driving, there are only two places your eyes are supposed to be.

1. The windscreens/windows to see where you’re going

2. Your instrument cluster on your dashboard to see your speedometer and warning/fault lights.

I have no issues with the number 1, is the number 2 that gets to me

The main issue with this hustle and it’s effects on your vehicle should be mainly the depreciation of your suspension components due to the terrible road conditions in the country.

Oyibo use their vehicles for taxi and put roughly 30-40k miles on their odometers a month and still sell such vehicles to us here as tokumbos. It all boils down to their maintenance culture. Using original parts and timely services due to their smog checks and such.

I’ve seen a 2018 Toyota Camry with 610k miles that was used as a taxi in usa still going strong and everything sound here in Nigeria before and there are thousands of such examples in the dealer parking lots here in this country waiting for unsuspecting buyers all because they have dubiously rolled back it’s mileage. In fact, apart from rust and accidents their taxis last a long time on the road. Even their rentals are the same story.

Take care of your vehicle and it will work well for you . . . Period.

Just keep money for suspension work and resprays after okada scratching and bashing
