Hello house, pls my school starts September 26 but I will apply by August 18 because that's when my POF will mature. Any idea if I would still meet up with the program start date? Another question is do I need to upload my employment letter when applying although my school only said we should upload only what is stated in the CAS and it's only my academic documents. Meanwhile I have a 10 year gap after youth service but I have been working. I await your kind response. Thank you.
You must upload your employment letter and other things you can lay your hands on to truly proof you've been working all these while you had study gap.

A friend said, "I guess it just boils down to cutting off those not so great people." What I think is there is no way you will move through live without coming across people that will make you fill pissed. Life is not a bed of roses. This people are there for a purpose: To build your inner strength. The only way you can help yourself is to know it's your choice either to be pissed or not and if you want to change people around you, change yourself.

Hope I made sense? smiley

A lot of us might be finding it not that rosy in some things we do because of certain information that we don't have. Lack of information, they say, leads to deformation. A lot of businesses could have been saved if decisions were made based on adequate knowledge.

From past experience, I have noticed that there is just a thin line between lack of knowledge and abundance of knowledge. A few tips might be what your world just needs to change and you will be smiling at life.

Have you ever heard the story of the giant ship engine that failed? The ship’s owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship’s owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.

“What?!” the owners exclaimed. “He hardly did anything!”

So they wrote the old man a note saying, “Please send us an itemized bill.”

The man sent a bill that read:
Tapping with a hammer………………. $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap………………………, $9,998.00
GRAND TOTAL ……………………………, $10,000. 00

“Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference”.

PoliticsRe: Why Has Nigerians Lost The Will To Fight by conSPIREng(m): 7:30pm On Oct 07, 2009
sowura:
Despite the harrowing experience Nigerians face on a daily basis, with all the obvious lies, the impunity with which our National coffers is been looted. with all the different forms of corruption and injustice perpetrated by Nigeria government officials all over the world. even in the face of the reality of the contempt with which Nigerians are held by their so called leaders, with all the efforts of people like the Great late Fela, Gani and other genuine patriotic Nigerians. Nigerians have not been able to find the will to fight as a group devoid of tribalism, religion and other social factor which only serve to polarise the common people. Nigerians would rather face death defying odds to seek greener pastures abroad, they would rather join them because they cant beat them, they would form and join militant groups in other to make a quick buck, they would join yahoo boys 419 etc. Nigerians would rather work at very low paying jobs and pay taxes through their noses and pray to God to release them from their sufferings. they will even collect paltry sums from politicians to cause troubles or vote in a well known thief. in short we will do everything except the only thing that can bring lasting solution to our collective suffering. Now am not talking about the half hearted and infact laughable attempt made by some groups all over the country. WHY HAS NIGERIANS LOST THE WILL TO FIGHT n(not necessarily violently) cry cry cry
Nigerians just don't see the reason to fight. They believe once they have something to eat, that's all- the ones coming behind should fend for themselves.
This same thought was what spurred me to write this post-http://seunkilanko.com/nigerians-aren%e2%80%99t-we-tired-of-watching/

Epiphany:
Psychology is a very stong thing. It governs your emotions and eventually, your actions.

I think that psychologically, Nigerians are tired and frustrated. Instead of fighting, it is easy to either adjust to the bad conditions or leave the country. That is what most people do these days.

Another example is that we have been despoiled by successive governments. When you continually despoil a woman . . . or man, he/she slowly loses the will to live and lives in a state of stupor. I think we are in a state of stupor, where very few people, like the late Gani, Soyinka and others (who are financially, emotionally, etc empowered) still live to continue the fight. These kind of people are few in number to those who are not empowered.
I don't think it's the issue of being tired but rather they have the culture of enduring hardship such that when something is going wrong with them and it is very obvious, they pretend as if all is well.
They shouldn't be tired because they have never even done anything to free themselves.

redsun:
How can they give up when the fight is just starting? This is the beginning, people are becoming aware of their human rights and the atrocities of the leaders,it can't be hidden anymore.

It is an information age,it is time to rise and count the blessings.Anybody that does not know now is cursed for good.
Don't curse! Take it softly with them.

ezeagu:
Well people like emyah are right, "putting different animals in one cage" has seemed to have never worked and will never work unless those "animals" have a sense of a common unifying factor which is one of the key parts to the definition of a nation. Nigeria doesn't have a 'unifying factor' because some unimportant member of Victoria's Empire thought to pump up his status by drawing the strongest, largest and most powerful African nations he could find in one spot and pull them into one country. Just like Europeans did when going to places with cultures and people completely alien to them, they completely messed up, and that mess up is several African nations today.

People have argued that 'our diversity is our strength', but my argument is for them to show me a diverse country in which this is true and every member of the nation is equal and also have an equal shot at leadership. There are none. In Brazil the whitest Portuguese descendants run the country, in America the English descendants run the country. Everyone from Abraham Lincoln, to Britney Spears is English, check it, come on they created the modern country.

If you even look at Black African nations that have done well by themselves, you would see that the countries, for the most part, have a common descent.

Botswana is 79% Tswana

Ghana is 45% Akan with other closely related groups

Namibia is 50% Ovambo with white and mixed race people making 13%

When people hear people talking about separating, etc they instantly think racism and separating is out of hate, but if a country was independent before, where is the hate in wanting your people to be independent again, especially (and a big emphasis on especially) when the country that their in is not working, and the other groups don't care for each other because of this union?
You are very right! In Nigeria, I think one of our major problem is lack of unity. We have never agreed on one thing we want for this country.
I heard that every Nigerian first identify himself with his ethnic group before his country. You know how many this ethnic groups are and you can imagine the level of diversity. Diversity is good in some instances but definitely not in this case.

There needs to be a call for the unity of perception. We are all Nigerians and whatever happens to the country will definitely flow down to all these ethnicity or whatever personal interest we are shielding.

Let there be unity of thoughts, perception and goals.

Thanks for your comment and what do you think about this one?
