divinebarz:You must upload your employment letter and other things you can lay your hands on to truly proof you've been working all these while you had study gap. |
A friend said, "I guess it just boils down to cutting off those not so great people." What I think is there is no way you will move through live without coming across people that will make you fill pissed. Life is not a bed of roses. This people are there for a purpose: To build your inner strength. The only way you can help yourself is to know it's your choice either to be pissed or not and if you want to change people around you, change yourself. Hope I made sense? ![]() |
A lot of us might be finding it not that rosy in some things we do because of certain information that we don't have. Lack of information, they say, leads to deformation. A lot of businesses could have been saved if decisions were made based on adequate knowledge. From past experience, I have noticed that there is just a thin line between lack of knowledge and abundance of knowledge. A few tips might be what your world just needs to change and you will be smiling at life. Have you ever heard the story of the giant ship engine that failed? The ship’s owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom. Two of the ship’s owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars. “What?!” the owners exclaimed. “He hardly did anything!” So they wrote the old man a note saying, “Please send us an itemized bill.” The man sent a bill that read: Tapping with a hammer………………. $ 2.00 Knowing where to tap………………………, $9,998.00 GRAND TOTAL ……………………………, $10,000. 00 “Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference”. deji2009:Deji, I appreciate what you have done but at the same thing, I must let you know that this way of linking posts actually looks very much like a spam. Next time you want to refer people like this, make sure you hint people about what they are going to see at the other side of the link. Thanks for your help! Seun. |
Hurray!Hurray!!Hurray!!! NIGERIA @ 49 are people's shout all over the country and Abroad. Consedering the reaction of some youths, some said:"a fool at 49, an adult that still feeds on milk, corruption on the increase, strike here and there, power sector is nothing to write about the education sector which is believe to be the heritage and future of the country is crawling, rule of law is best practised with lips. They are saying our leaders are bad, always searching for more wealth and all to make sure they eat their part in the National Cake and leave;if they want In the same vein, citizens are bad, they sabotage our efforts, they destroy government properties, really on the government for everytin, destroying the image of the country abroad and more , Are the cry of the Leaders. Who Is Now to be blame ![]() ?
Why blame anybody? I notice that we are good at trading blames in this country and never ask ourselves,"What am I doing to make this country better?"We need to understand that regardless of whether you are at the top or bottom, president or bus driver, student or lecturer, we all have a part to play in the progress of this nation. Enough of this talk, talk and blames, lets now start to act on how this country can gain its real independence. I wrote extensively on this at http://seunkilanko.com/becoming-the-solution-the-world-wants/ |
Kobojunkie:That is very true! Freedom first begins in the mind- until you start to believe in yourself and know that nobody has the right to deprive you of your rights, then you are free. However, I can't stop to wonder how this brainwash can be tackled and stopped. puskin:Northern what? |
sowura:Nigerians just don't see the reason to fight. They believe once they have something to eat, that's all- the ones coming behind should fend for themselves. This same thought was what spurred me to write this post-http://seunkilanko.com/nigerians-aren%e2%80%99t-we-tired-of-watching/ Epiphany:I don't think it's the issue of being tired but rather they have the culture of enduring hardship such that when something is going wrong with them and it is very obvious, they pretend as if all is well. They shouldn't be tired because they have never even done anything to free themselves. redsun:Don't curse! Take it softly with them. |
When will Nigeria get his independence? |

citizenY:Thanks for taking the time to follow the link and read the article. The future is ours not mine alone. God bless you too. Nigeria will be great again if all of us stand up and take responsibility for its greatness. Join the band that makes history now cos this is the best time that history can be made. Let the comments keep flowing, friends. |
Spot on! We need unity to move forward as a nation. A bus with more than one drivers are automatically heading to the bush. Let's get that right, first, before we can start thinking of Nigeria moving forward. Am I right?
You are more than right. Thanks to DIG-S, ezeagu, emyah, sjeezy8, puskin, muhsin and ceecee. You guys have been wonderful. You have made it fun all the way. It's when we discuss the progress of this nation and take action that we will move forward. Enough of this national ridicule. Do you all agree we have got a part to play in advancement of this country? Let's be bent on causing a change and the change will surely happen. I hate to sound like this at a place like this but bear with me. The discussion is still fresh. Let comments keep following in. We will all live to see a new Nigeria! |
If Nigeria is going to develop, it's up to us! I believe your words, bro. Let's keep the flag flying.
You are right, my friend. We all need to decide to begin to cause a change at our different places and before we know it, the whole nation will change. It's up to us. Did anybody follow the link and has anything to say about the article? I need your constructive criticisms! |
Relationship is capable of leading one to the throne or on the other side lead one to the mud. Whichever way it leads, we've got a choice to make. Spot on, coNSPIREng!
You can't be more right than this. So much appreciate your contribution. Thank you! |
conSPIREng:Anybody got anything to say about the article I placed in the link. Any constructive advice? |
ezeagu:You are very right! In Nigeria, I think one of our major problem is lack of unity. We have never agreed on one thing we want for this country. I heard that every Nigerian first identify himself with his ethnic group before his country. You know how many this ethnic groups are and you can imagine the level of diversity. Diversity is good in some instances but definitely not in this case. There needs to be a call for the unity of perception. We are all Nigerians and whatever happens to the country will definitely flow down to all these ethnicity or whatever personal interest we are shielding. Let there be unity of thoughts, perception and goals. Thanks for your comment and what do you think about this one? |
More than the looks, what will make you last in that your place of work, relationship or position you find yourself are your inputs. Focus more on your imputs. |
"Great men and mere men are made by the kind of friends they have" - what an insightful quote! |
sjeezy8:Brain washed to believe they are helpless and and that they have no right. Don't you helplessness in the attitude of Nigerian. We never believe we have a right and we can fight for it. |
I think Nigeria is filled with intelligent but brain-washed minds. What do you think? |
princekevo:you seem to have taken your time to search well. I will kindly demand for your results. Which area did these Nigerians contribute and what concrete results do they have to show for it. I doubt if we will have 140 million Nigeria who are so thoughtful as you are and Nigeria will be experiencing what it is today. Bros, get your mind out of the mud and re-think. A wise man falls down and looks what fell him. kuramo:I see respect is written over you! How shameful a citizen in a country like this which is so full of vices and instead of think deeply on why they are been called morons is here fighting for respect. I give no respect to blurred minds. I'm sure it will take time to get some ppl out of their stinking-thinking so that this country might move forward. babaearly:I see you are the funniest of all-the trail blazer. You are a typical Nigerian-they never see what chases them and they run. I know you are not used to reading deep things but find somebody to read the post for you and give you the interpretation. You might still not understand, them let me know. Incase of next time, in forums like this follow the procedures before you decide to drop , |
