obi4eze:Actually the rice is not overcooked, I only made the mistake of over turning it after it was cooked. For the tomato, after it dried on the fire to reduce water content, I then added the fresh vegetable oil(not preheated). I don't like my chicken fried. Again, I'm a man ooo. I think I did well |
10 years is a long time to have survived together. You two sure deserve each other |
When rice is dry and cooked, mix content together to make all ingredients go even. That's it guys, your Nigerian jollof is ready (at least mine). You can add fried plantain to go with it if you wish. Meat can also be fried, but i chose not to.
|
Bring the pot or frying pan of boiling stew down from fire and turn content into the pot of just washed rice. Turn it a little and place on fire to cook until water is dry and rice is soft(please don't turn while on fire to avoid burning before rice is done)
|
Place your white rice on the fire and allow to per boil for say 15 minutes (the trick here is not to allow the rice overcook, if you do, it would not turn out nice) When rice is perboiled, bring it down and turn content into a sieve. Drain all water out, add more clean water, wash off more starch from rice and return rice into empty pot.
|
Blend your ginger and garlic and add to the boiling stew. Add onion, more salt to taste, more seasoning cubes if you need to, crayfish etc
|
When water in the paste is fully dry, you add some vegetable oil into the paste(tomato and pepper). Allow to fry while you stir constantly to avoid burning. When it is fully fried and looks like it's starting to burn, add some stock from the boiling meat, stir while you continue to add more stock, until the whole stock goes into the tomato paste. Pour the meat into the paste that has turned to stew by now and leave to cook.
|
While it cooks, blend ur tomato and pepper together and pour into another pot. Then place over fire to steam and reduce water content.
|
Now wash your meat and place on fire. Add seasoning cubes, salt, curry, onion and thyme.

Sunday 19th August 2018, i decide to walk into the kitchen and prepare jollof rice from scratch to finish. A feat i last actualized in 2010 during my last days in Unizik. Also thought it necessary to document all stages for my fellow guys who may not know how to cook; Ya'all can learn from this free tutorial. First off I'l list all ingredients i used. You can use more or less, but have it in mind that the outcome of ur jollof rice depends on the ingredients used to prepare it and at what point they were added. (1) 3 cups of rice (2)chicken(or fish) (3) 1 big ball of onion (4)ginger and garlic (5)pepper (6)fresh tomato(or tin ones) (7)crayfish ( normal food spices(9)seasoning powder( i used knnow cubes) (10)Salt to taste (11)2 fingers of plantain (12)vegetable oil (13)curry powder (or leaves)

A danfo scratching you in Lagos will hardly be a mild one, so what's the need if it can't heal deep scratches |

I am not an advocate of police extortions and brutality. I even hate the police, but on the same vain I know the police cannot just give you a head shot and walk away because u did not bribe them. If your vehicle documents are complete and genuine, they have nothing on you, then you could politely tell them you have no money at the moment. But if you know your documents are either expired or fake or incomplete, then they have you on the jugular and you must do their bidding. In a case where u know u are wrong, no matter how little your wrong is, Better resort to begging them politely, rather than arguing and claiming rights. I am no coward and I always stand by my rights, but as you are claiming right be sure that you have not committed any traffic offence and all documents they demand are intact. Rip Young man. This is another death that could have been avoided by simply being polite to them |
Better style. I like women like this. But Sha know say na armed man u dey challenge. Never provoke an armed being |
Poverty and ignorance breeds misdeeds like this. Pastors on the other hand capitalize on the desperation of these poor masses to give them fake prophecies and take the little money they have from them |
Rooneyboy:that's what they do at clubs. she's a runs girl that couldn't get a client for the night, decided to go home with the guy who showed interest in her. She hoped to get paid when they got home, but in the guy's mind, he wants to try his luck to see if he's caught an easy lay. Last last when she demanded for money, the young man realized she's an Okpo. Nigga says "I ain't paying u shit, u sleep n lemmi sleep, tomorrow u leave".... All this their story na for who no know them. |
Wiinnd:it's tricky, especially these days that there are really high quality fake notes in circulation. You can tell from the texture, shades of color, and feel in general. It's different from the real ones, u would know if u Re careful |
Merimental:vehicle wouldn't have broken down if it were kerosene |
yinkeys:like I said before maybe it was a mistake I made not reporting her, but it was a spontaneous act. I finished and left the bank immediately without the thought of making a noise about it or reporting her |
Frenchfriez:it's quite appalling that bankers do this. I was shocked that day the lady acted this out. Since then, i'v been very careful with them |
omohayek:sometimes we do things as the spirit leads. I was led to just let it go. Maybe it was a mistake I made |
Drive further away from the truck to avoid the kids knowing wassup. Tell them u going to help the driver. Loot as much as u can from the truck. Call the Paramedics or the police and take off with your loot |
Went to withdraw 100k from UBA sumtime ago. After I was paid (guess the cashier didn't expect me to recount), I tore the wrapper off and started to count the money, while looking out for a counterfeit note (cos I spotted her slotting it in between the bundle of 500 Naira notes. Boom!, I found it, and I asked her, Madam pls what's dis? Do banks now pay counterfeit notes to customers? I could see the fear in her eyes as she begged me to give her the money back so she would change for me, while apologizing profusely. I just pitied her, returned the money, she changed it, and I left, without anyone else in the bank knowing what happened except I and the lady. I won't be surprised if she has lots of such fake currency and she keeps putting them piece by piece into money she pays to customers who withdraw in bulk. At the close of day, she deducts the real currency from the banks money. Just like that she could make over 50k daily. Moral of the story, there are thieves and fraudsters now working in banks, be careful with ur money |
Maybe a shoe removing machine would have assisted him to remove the shoes
