Politics › Timipre Sylva: Petroleum Industry Bill Ready For National Assembly by contigiency(op): 6:10am On Aug 21, 2020 |
The Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, on Thursday assured that the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) will be presented to the National Assembly in the next few weeks.
Sylva said the executive arm would be requesting the lawmakers to specially reconvene to receive and begin deliberations on the bill. According to him, the bill is key to repositioning of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry under its post COVID-19 agenda.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the minister spoke during a webinar organised by the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) with the theme: “Fiscal Regime Design, Government Revenues and Investors’ Interest in Nigeria Oil and Gas Sector.
“In the coming few days, we will be requesting the National Assembly to specially reconvene to look at the PIB, which may as well take some weeks before its passage,” Sylva said. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/pib-ready-for-national-assembly/amp/

SpecialAdviser: I watched that video and just shook my head.
Irrespective of the fact that one cannot deduce exactly where the arrest is being planned but the arrogant manner they were discussing shows it is planned for a challenger and not a criminal.
Both of them were buoyed with the power they have acquired. This arrogance is a trade mark of an average black man in power it does not matter the party he belongs.
Nigeria really have a long way to go. Oga, I hope you are still referring to the same video under discuss? Because that video was too short, just 8 seconds. So where did you get all these descriptions from? |

Why not those that deceived you with a version that made no meaning at all? Though whether you believe him or not, it doesn't matter. I have watched that clip, and the only thing I can say is that, PDP and that their publicity secretary are all messing up thinking they are playing opposition. In the clip, neither of the two men ever mentioned anybody for arrest. There was simply nothing to make out of their comments as was shown. |

Some of these stupid PDP national Assembly members always talk as if those listening to them are as empty as they were for 16 years they wasted our resources in the name of ruling this country. You can imaging saying that the federal government signed an empty paper. Must everything be reduced to playing dirty politics? What sort of nonsense talk is that? They should go and sit down.
Again, some bloggers should stop lending themselves to ridicule. How can you say the house of Reps said? Whereas it was some members of the opposition that said. |
