The Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, on Thursday assured that the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) will be presented to the National Assembly in the next few weeks.

Sylva said the executive arm would be requesting the lawmakers to specially reconvene to receive and begin deliberations on the bill. According to him, the bill is key to repositioning of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry under its post COVID-19 agenda.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the minister spoke during a webinar organised by the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) with the theme: “Fiscal Regime Design, Government Revenues and Investors’ Interest in Nigeria Oil and Gas Sector.

“In the coming few days, we will be requesting the National Assembly to specially reconvene to look at the PIB, which may as well take some weeks before its passage,” Sylva said.

I watched that video and just shook my head.

Irrespective of the fact that one cannot deduce exactly where the arrest is being planned but the arrogant manner they were discussing shows it is planned for a challenger and not a criminal.

Both of them were buoyed with the power they have acquired. This arrogance is a trade mark of an average black man in power it does not matter the party he belongs.

Nigeria really have a long way to go.

Listen Oga, stop sounding like market woman, you see in a real sense no body has the capacity to determine or to decide that someone is not from where he/she is truly from, jokes can fly round no doubt but in the real sense no one can do that, in this context what is the template to determined who is half Igbo or who is real igbo so we can find out who is who, jst that some area in the east has a lot of stupid ppl that can only bark bt cant bite, ok let me ask you a question, so after he told the Abakaliki man about not been igbo why didnt he push him out of the meeting or de-register his name from what ever igbo forum that brought the gathering if he is man enough, you see some ppl bcus of their insecurity always settle for name callin to bully others but I think you guys should try another means bcus this style does not hold water
