Good to know that there's no Nigerian player in the list.....

That was how they overhyped one grandfather called Stanley Okoro and even tagged him the "Nigerian Messi" at the tournament held in Nigeria 2009....

But the old man is somewhere in Ngwa road opening bail of Okrika.

How about that T.B Joshua boy called Emmanuel, the lanky Macculey Chrisantus and Oseni?

No where to be found I guess.

Nigeria's media is just useless.

Apart from Premium Times and Sahara Reporters, none of them does investigative journalism.

Nobody is worried that things don't work in the country, including the media.

We just concluded an election a few months ago.

Instead of these nonentities to dwell on development and get elected officials to work, they are busy discussing 2023.

Who cursed the Blackman?
Oga, who made you angry this morning. You sound very angry. These people you are calling nonentities and other unprintable names are doing their business.
Politics › Re: 2023: Osinbajo, Tinubu, Bakare Favoured Presidential Hopefuls by contigiency(m): 10:56am On Nov 05, 2019
Bakare is not in the mix forget his noise, at least not in APC. Another thing I know for sure is that Osibanjo will not square up against Tinubu and vice versa. Either of them will run with an understanding that the other is not running. Even Fashiola will not vie for the ticket if either Tinubu or Osibanjo is in the mix.

The only person I know that will run regardless of who is running in the south west is Fayemi the governor of Ekiti state.

And if for any reason the party looks the way of the south east, Ogbonnaya Onu stands very tall amongst other APC members in the region to pick the ticket.

Meanwhile Yahaya Bello and Dino should fail for the sake of kogi citizens
If bello fails and Wada wins, that's the worst case for kogi state. The Wadas family were the ones who ruled the state and handed over to bello after accumulating months of salary arrears. Unfortunately to bello, everyone who didn't do a proper check is blaming him for the sins of his present opponents.

If yahaya bello wins in kogi, any kogi person that complains of poverty should be ignored
Unfortunately bello is up against those who institutionalized poverty and corruption in the state. The PDP and the Wadas. They accumulated the salary arrears that everyone is criticising bello about. So bello is still a better option.

How will Onu get the winning votes to clinch the ticket in the APC primaries against the likes of Osibanjo, Fayemi, Fashola, Amaechi, Akpabio, Oshiomole etc?
I said Igbos, none of those names you mentioned is from Igbo. And apart from Osibanjo, Onu will be more acceptable in every part of the country than any other name you mentioned there. The man has been in politics at the top level since 1990 and yet, no one has accused him of any scandal, it's not easy to maintain such integrity in this country. And the man is well learned.

Igbos should just rally round and present Dr Ogbonnaya Onu minister for science and technology in APC and Dave Umahi in PDP. These two men are quite outstanding politicians in Igbo that will have general acceptance both within and outside Igbo.

Your examples show how Hitler started. He was performing all sorts of atrocities against the law and was applauded. I am sure you would scream fire fire if you are the direct beneficiary of such lawlessness

To the topic, ASU has a point while the FG has a point too. ASU is saying that the law setting up the uni allots powers over their finances to their governing council and not a government fiat as is being done under the FMF IPPIS. That is the law

The FG knows this. What they should do is not shoving this illegally down the throat of the uni but getting the national assembly to pass the appropriate laws to ensure they can do this legally. IPPIS is good and has harmonised the payment structures within the federal staff system

I am sure this is the future and has come to stay. However simply cos it's good doesn't make it ok to illegally implement
Oga, all agencies of government have governing boards just as the universities, so if all other agencies have enrolled in IPPIS, why should ASUU own be different? Even in the same universities being governed by the same governing councils, NASU and other staff unions have enrolled and ASUU kept quiet. Now it's their turn they want the universities to be shut down.
Well, I am not even bordered because buhari will not even shift bit.

Yes, the FG said that, but only with word of mouth. It didn't capture it and during the meeting ASUU asked them some pertinent questions which they could not answer. Please click on the link below the original post to see what those currently on IPPIS are suffering
Look at what you are saying in the bolded statements, it didn't capture it? When they are yet to submit information for the enrollment you already said it didn't capture it.

Please can you help post the pertinent questions ASUU asked the FG which FG was unable to answer. Some of us may help FG to provide answer to the questions assuming they suddenly have become dafts.

My own is that ASUU will fail on this one. If they make good their threat by embarking on strike, they will definitely get it bad this time because majority of Nigerians will never support them.

destinie2019:
Ask the core civil service whether they didn't lose their overtime, etc, when IPPIS was instituted. For external examiners, a university (or many) where they don't work will pay these monies, and IPPIS will show them as suspicious transactions. Remember that it's usually the senior professors and authorities within the area of study that come, with allowances for their hotel.and feeding etc. For someone who doesn't see the importance of education to national development, it would certainly appear as if these are frivolous expenses.
The flip side of this discourse is that aides of governors and councillors of local governments draw multiple times more than professors in travel and entertainment allowances, hence you find professors agreeing to become aides to politicians. How are we calibrating our national formula sef? Where will this take us?
Oga, you are misleading people with false information. Over time allowances, traveling allowances, hotel accommodations, visiting lecturers honorarium etc are never part of regular wage bills or salaries. They fall into other charts of accounts.

For instance, you will see such items like, travelling expenses, part timers honorarium, traveling and accommodation, overtime duty allowances etc. All these fall into overhead expenditure. Unless you are saying that IPPIS has eliminated anything overhead expenditure entirely, which is not and will never be true.

After all those other government agencies that have enrolled in the IPPIS still pay overtime duty allowances, travelling and accommodation expenses etc. And mind you, lecturers do not earn overtime but earn what they call "earned duty allowances" which they have been told that IPPIS will accommodate including their retirement age which will is not the same with that of regular civil servants.
Education › Re: IPPIS: Nigerian Lecturers Do Not Hold Multiple Full Time Lecturing Jobs by contigiency(m): 6:57am On Oct 29, 2019
IPPIS will only stop FG staffs from holding a full time job in another FG institutions. But can't stop such when the other job is in private institution because the private institutions are not in IPPIS.

One major thing the IPPIS will address is that the actual wage bill of the institutions will be ascertained because the issue of ghost workers will be eliminated. More so, the issue of illegal recruitments will be checkmated since every recruitments will be justified with all necessary approvals shown as evidence before any employed staff gets enrolled for salaries.

if you really care to know it not that they are being scared, but the government it self devise means to cheat, in this IPPIS when you are 60 years of age the system automatically remove, and a proffesor who are entil to lecture up to 70 years. not that alone the system is not programme to activate and pay outstanding fee of promotion and allowance. there are other thing they are 'SCARED' of sha.
You lied especially on the bolded statements. You talk as if you are an agent. It has been demonstrated to ASUU time without number that their status and peculiarities will be configured in the IPPIS such that it will accomodate their retirement age and earned allowances. So why are you misleading people here?
