BenShammer: It must be a nightmare, having to depend on a woman financially, when just the inability to cater for all their needs while dating because you're struggling to fend for yourself so you won't be a burden on your parents or anyone else brings so many issues. Earlier on it came up that you ventured into business because you didn't want to depend on your parents' money and wanted to make your own money. That's a real man's attitude right there. I don't know the full story of what went down between you and bae, but I have to say I can relate with your experiences. God bless you brother! Its just a situation that no one can understand if UV never been there. |

Amya: I wonder why you're raising dust over something that happened a long time ago. Even when you texted me to forgive you that you had a dream bla bla bla. I replied telling you that I harboured no ill feeling against you and that i have moved on with my life. And you still reached out earlier this year with some business opportunity for me and you said you were doing it more out of guilt. I still shot it down as I didn't feel you owed me anything.
Nairaland used to be a place l vent because its an anonymous forum. No one knows me or you so I can cry out to strangers, get advice, pick myself up on move on. You say never depend on a woman or they'll table your story on Nairaland. I never robbed your dependence on me on your face while we were together. I was making very little, it was hard, but I never complained. I even heard that while I was at work scourging, you were screwing La'noms (my friend I was squatting) after you both get high from smoking weed from morning till night.
You came here to dig up old wounds because you wanted to make your self feel better. Yeah I broke up with you because you were emotionally involved with someone else. The second you picked yourself and started earning a living you realised I wasn't good enough. I came to visit you in Amuwo Odofin when I closed for the year from law school. You told me you were breaking up with me because you called me 4 times the previous day and I didn't take the call. That I was cheating on you. I was shattered. I left for Abuja and you started calling. Some thing was off when we resumed the relationship. I told you to use my pic on your dp, something you used to do before without prompting, but you refused adamantly even when the relationship was hanging on the balance. I knew that moment that the other girl in the triangle meant a lot to you. You would rather hurt me than hurt her. That's why I let go. You're probably still with the same girl as we speak. A match made in heaven!
P.S. This thread was started in October 2013 when we had our first break up which lasted less than 2 weeks. We finally ended things more than a full year later in Nov 2014. we even read this thread together when we got back together and laughed about it. LMAO! At least this your comment has made me understand some stuvs. You are an amazing person, but uv always had trust issues. There is always an agenda for everything we've you. Family › Re: A Cheating Husband Is Not The Worst Thing That Can Happen In Marriage. by continentalceo(m): 2:04pm On Oct 22, 2017 |
Amya: Coming from a pseudo-feminist, it shouldn't be all that alarming.
I was reading a thread yesterday about a young women who tried to commit suicide because she found out her supposedly perfect husband was cheating on her. If she were my kid Sis, I'd have dashed her free slap for that stupidity. This same lady was just justifying her husband's actions when after an argument he pushed her so her hard she banged her head on the edge of a glass table (in the risk of a permanent head injury). This same lady condoned and even justified her husband hating her OWN mother for the flimsy reason that she made some strong recommendations while they were planning their wedding. And suddenly she finds out her husband had a plethora of runs girls at his beck and call, and she overdosed on pills! You've got to be kidding me!
Now, I know my opinion on cheating males is going to be hugely unpopular amongst the female folks in the house (especially the married ones who for some reason think their life's happiness is tied to their spouse's fidelity). I'm also not making excuse for the male folks for cheating, I'm just trying to be realistic about this society. For some reason, men cheat. Most men infact. The sooner women realise this, the happier marriages will be. Sex is not love. To men especially (and me too) sex is just a function that can stand on it's own independent of love and even affection. It's like eating.
Don't be 100% sure that your husband is not cheating or will not cheat on you. That will be living in a fools paradise my dear. It has nothing to do with how pure or holy you were growing up. let's lower our expectations as far as marriage is concerned, and I bet you you'll have a happier and fulfilled marriage.
Or you can always choose not to get married. Divorce is also an option.
Yeah, Yeah I know about the bringing another woman into the house or infecting HIV to the poor innocent wife. Yeah let's hope your husband is sensible enough to not commit to these ladies and he's not stupid enough to not use protection. You have truely matured |

Amya: He did give up on us eventually. You know that all these things you posted are lies... 1. My ex was never involved. 2. Was not kicked out by my parents, I let the house. 3. I wasn't lazy but a victim of circumstance 4. I treated you like a queen and you knew I was always grateful for everything you did for me. 5. Finally, you know I never gave up but irrespective of all the challenges I was facing at the time, I was still a man. A man has pride. |
Politics › Re: Anambra Governorship Election: APC Campaign Rally (Photos) by continentalceo(m): 11:31am On Oct 21, 2017 |
Kingsley1000: the only person capable of stopping Nwoye is Buhari. I don't see him stopping Nwoye. Nwoye was that hammer in the gloved fists of Uba brothers. He was the man that made things happen. Against all odds ,he came out as pdp gubernitorial candidate for the last elections. Even when Jonathan worked against his candidature and placed all coercive forces at Obi's disposal , Nwoye still came second in the election. He beat Ngige in number of votes cast ,despite campaining only for 10 days. Today Andy Uba is rooting for Nwoye, so is Emeka Offor, Uche Ekwunife (who was promised the restoration of her senatorial seat.) Stella Odua will support Nwoye as Obazee winning will eclipse her in the Ogbaru area. Obiano is a no no in Ogbaru. Anambra west and Ayamelum local government areas in addition to Oyi (Nwoye's )local govt will vote Nwoye. Only Anambra east or precisely Aguleri will vote Obiano. So technically Obiano has only one local government in Anambra north. Peter Obi , Uche Ekwunife and Chris Ngige will frustrate Obiano in their Base Anambra central. Andy Uba and co will deliver Orumba north and south plus Aguata to APC. Nnewi north and south will vote Obiano, because it is their turn to produce the next Governor . So they want to hasten his tenure by voting for him. Emeka Offor will always deliver Ekwusigo to whomever he supports. Now Nwoye. Ihiala is a contested Area. Nwoye will clear Anambra north. Obazee will share Anambra central with Nwoye. Obiano will share Anambra south with Nwoye. The disappointed and marginalised PDP faction will join their former Boss Nwoye. Ex PDP Godfather Arthur Eze is now APC. The PDP rigging machine is in custody of Dr Tony Nwoye. The only man that can stop Dr Nwoye is Muhammadu Buhari. But ,can he? Would he? No APC in Anambra! |
