pendo89:it's not about great sex in marriage. it's about discovering what one doesn't like to see after walking the aisle. by then it would be too late to do anything and one would have to live with it for the rest of one's life. imagine if my partner had a putrescent odour down south. something i never knew cos i never went there during courtship. how am i supposed to feel after the discovery? Age does matter of course. My view is a guy committing before hes 25 is taking a big big risk.Financially ,Emotionaly he still has a lot going on for him so he may be easily distracted. A girl at the same age is pretty mature and ready for marriage.(again my opinion)which goes to show there should be no time-limit on anything cos people meet at different stages in their lives. 8 yrs courtship, 2 months courtship, 5 yrs courtship means nowt. what will lead to marriage will lead to marriage. |
BlueDiva:is that possible? lampard and drogba are the enemies of progress for chelsea. if you play mata in the centre behind torres, goals are guaranteed. but villas-boas wants to accommodate lampard at all cost to please the english media. playing lampard means he must use 2 markers(ramirez and mikel) as lampard is a liability defensively. furthermore, accommodating lampard means mata can't play in the centre which reduces 80% of the spaniard's ability. this should be chelsea's starting xi ---------------cech--------------- ivanovic---luiz---terry---cole-- -------mikel------ramirez-------- --anelka----mata----malouda-- --------------el nino-------------- for chelsea to become a force again, the gaffer must drop lampard and drogba. stick to mata and torres. yes, they may take time to reach the dizzying heights but there's a certain chemistry between those two. lampard n drogba should be bench warmers. only to be relied upon when the game is tight and chelsea need a game-changer to get a win/draw. |
musKeeto:life must be difficult for you without siri. what a dunderhead! you go wait tire. you better sell your iphone 4, sell half of your wardrobe, put the money together and get the iphone 4s. |
pendo89:yes, i have to test sexual compatibility. it's a must, it's my right. when i am buying an automobile, i do a test-drive. I am not an advocate of long time dating. Meet, declare, commit, engage and marry. That shouldn't take 8 years.does this not depend on the age of the man? if i meet a girl at 19 and i love her. . . .whether she likes it or not, she must wait till i am 30 before i can enter marriage. i am never going to marry her @ 24. it's impossible. |
pendo89:different strokes + different folks. For real, some men are such users,They make you invest time and emotions but never get to ask the magic question. I think that if you have been in a stable relationship for about three years and the guy has not said a thing or even hinted on marriage, you should walk out of the relationship.what if he genuinely loves the girl but he's not financially strong enough to push the envelope? This is definitely a hard decision but I believe that if he has not hinted in three years, he may never. And I think most men don’t easily ask women to marry them because so many women start cohabiting and of course do all the things a wife would do for the man. If you are cooking for him, washing for him, pampering him and fulfilling his intimate needs before he has married you, why then should be marry you?legal fuckin! Do you think that after playing wife for him he must marry you?most men would if the woman does not change from a good partner to a lousy one. marriage is a lifetime commitment. you just don't marry a woman based on her services for a mere 3 years. everything else has to be compatible. |
musKeeto:pain me? where's the pain? you seem to think the things people say to me affect me - you thought wrong. you obdurate w@nker! |
musKeeto:except that my dad is still alive and kicking. kindly tell us the brain infection you are fighting, you social reprobate. a son of a thousand fathers! |
musKeeto:can you kindly tell me the kind of brain disease you are currently fighting? |
it's been 6 weeks since the launch of the iphone 4s. i am keen to know if the association of the jailbreakers of this forum have ported siri on their old i-phone4. ![]() tall order, i didn't think so. many are still using their old operating system as jailbreakers have been cut out of the loop to download ios-5. by the time you catch up with the 4s, apple would have released their iphone-5. make una nor vex! |
MRbrownJAY:you did. . . . call him stingy/tightfisted or whatever but he knows how hard he sweated to earn this money and therefore HE has the right to control its flow. who want to put a thief in charge of finances?! look at the 9ja Gov to have a clue of what will happen.that should read "how hard they sweated to earn this money. . . . ." 2 became one the moment they read their vows in the church. my money is my wifey's money and vice versa. |
MRbrownJAY:it's their money. chaircover:don't mind the overgrown babies! Uju & Jenny u don try. I don’t know what else to say. Even if we multiply the N600 by 10,000 times, is it anywhere near what our parents spent on us to make us presentable for one husband to desire us in the first instance. N600 can’t even buy the cheapest brand facial washmaybe he was forced to marry the wife. other than that i don't see how any man will not be happy the wife is pinching is money. if my wife cannot pinch my money, whose money should she pinch? |
emmatok:i am very sure you bagged a professorship in hypocrisy. so i should not judge nigerian marriages by western law when we have fully adopted their practises. why do you practise the religion they brought to your doorstep in africa? why do you wear jeans? you should be covering your honour with pawpaw leaves. . . .like your ancestors! why do you speak their language? why do you use their technology? why the heck won't i judge nigerian marriages by western laws? so you actually feel the way women are mistreated in nigeria is normal? by now, the education and exposure we have had should be reflecting in our society. so it's a shame that this man is complaining about 500 naira in 2011. he belongs to the stone-age. The White Man(rich,middle-class and poor) your are praising here also barks, when their wife inflate their spending.Yes they do.over amounts less than $5, they don't. the money this husband is screaming about will not even get you a meal at mac donalds. what sort of husband is he? and yet, he wouldn't mind spending $500 in a strip club or the various whorehouses in lagos. You also forget to tell us that your White Men now sign Prenuptial before getting married, meaning his assets are intact in case things fall apart.what has prenuptial got to do with police escorting you out of your own house if there's trouble at home? prenuptial ko, pre-nautica ni. Financial management is a serious issue in marriages world-wide which usually leads to divorce , so it is not limited to Nigeria.financial management of 500 naira change, 400 naira change, etc. this husband is a disgrace to manhood. we are talking about his wife here, not the housegirl. she is the mother of his children. pray tell. . . .what does he think the woman does with the extra she keeps to herself? she definitely spends it on herself to look good. shouldn't that make the man happy? my happiness as a husband is incomplete without making my wife look good. the compliments i get from my friends about her looking good will complete my joy. that is my wife, my life partner. this husband shouldn't be married at all if 500 naira makes so much difference to him. i repeat, he's a wuss, a moaner, a cry-baby! |
@slimyem, i will continue this banter tomorrow. |
Depilot:mopol can. if 10 of those 5000 youths protesting fall to the bullets of the mobile police - the others would disappear. ask the students who tried it in the 90s when they they went after ibb's hilltop mansion in minna. it ended in tears and yellow woven baskets. this is nigeria - not washington d.c. |
Gimme your email addy. I don't have an iPhone nor a BB.
let me have yours instead. ![]() not going to fall for the oldest trick in the world. |
slimyem:not really. what makes you good? how are you sure i've never lied to you and that my claim of being a good girl is true?innocent until proven guilty. you are innocent to me until i have a shred of evidence linking you to anything bad. mind, being bad is subjective - what is bad to others might be good to me so it's a grey area. For all you know,i might just be messing with you.everyone has a weak point and the fact that they do doesnt make them *not good*.i can't be messed with. if you have 70% positive qualities then you are average - you are not good. a bad apple will spoil the whole bunch. 5% negative quality is enough to make you bad. |
dayokanu:torres is the first striker on the planet to have played 90 mins without scoring! he is a record breaker. |
slimyem:yes! If i told you, would you believe it?why not? you have never lied to me. innocent until proven guilty. i wanted you to tell me.i needed your opinion.that's why i posed the question to you.and then you tell me but i dont roll with what you told me.see?and i have told you there's no good girl. no human being is perfect. even eve ate the forbidden fruit. some people are just perfect at pretending than the others. |
dayokanu:as usual, the sarcasm flew over his head. torres sat on the bench for 90 mins and you expected him to score like drogba, don't you? you need your brains washed! |
dayokanu:torres played 90 mins tonight n he did not score - what a shame! |
slimyem:are you a good girl? can you show me a good girl? who is a good girl? what makes her "good"? |
emmatok:he is a wuss - a crybaby, a moaner, an inconsiderate husband. his money, his money - it's their money. 2 became 1 the day they walked the aisle. this bush man mentality only exists in nigeria where the man barks every second "my" "my" "my". in marriage - it's "our" "our". if he's not ready to share, he should have remained single. i am not speaking because of the married women boasting here. i just think this issue is no issue at all - that's my opinion. husband/wife matter - every penny belongs to the both of them. it's a relationship not a dictatorship! BlueDiva:you probably married in the 80s, long before mandela got his freedom so marriage is imprisonment for you. may you be delivered from the shackles. ![]() You are right. Most women here come and paint a rosy picture.it's the naija mentality in you. where men turn themselves into demi-gods and tyrants and you think that should be the norm. notice the people who are on the same side as me are all staying abroad. an environment where women are empowered and the husband knows marriage is a 2-way street. if these wives make trouble, the husband is the one that would be escorted out of the house by the police until the wife is comfortable with him around. if you make trouble for your partner, you are the one that would be bruised, beaten and sent back to your parents house. so no one is painting a rosy picture here. the women are just telling you as it is. in 2011, if your husband still harasses you over 1000 naira, then you are probably in the wrong marriage. beware! |
a good girl? there's no good girl? behind every good face, there's an evil brain behind it. |
