As far as I'm concerned, Lindegaard is the *ish ~ whoever recommended that guy to SAF should be given a raise. . . . .he is so damn composed, just looking at him is enough to inspire confidence. His handling so far is good; yes he hasn't really been tested as such but as a goalie is mentally strong enough to keep his head, he is just a short way from being class.
I still say it is not too late to send De Gea right back to Madrid  - hate to see that after all that money splashed, he will be warming the bench!
fufuface: The list of Mediocre players at Manure is about to grow by one, Even Schmeichel can no longer hold his peace.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=844095&sec=transfers&cc=5739, the countdown to January begins and we eagerly await if the trend will change.
Debo, you know since when I've been shouting this from the rooftops (sorry, I meant Arsenal forums).

Can you take a look at this career and tell me this is Manure Quality? anyway Sauron's age old excuse of always making WPOTY at Manure holds no water in this instance as they are yet to make a WGOTY (World Goalkeeper of the year, if there is such an award). Can someone take a look at this stats and tell me this is Manure quality for a 26 year old? abi Lindegaard has come from the bush like Bebe toohuh

he's that highly rated at carrington complex. . . . .the morale of the story is when a player is prodigious, nothing he does extra-curricular matters to his manager.

debosky:
Simple! No arguments there sharon.

Secondly, the comparison with Rossi is the biggest joke of the week. One player leaves league champions to join a top 4 side in the second or arguably best league in the world, one leaves the 4th place team in England to go down a division.

Only Dudu can make such comparisons and expect to get away with it. undecided

Arsene selling JET means he is simply not good enough to play for Arsenal at this time and nothing more.

You go come start to dey deny the boy abi? Its only the ones who make it you want to know.  tongue
My twopence is that the boy is actually very good infact, from an offensive perspective, he had something Wilshere hasn't shown much of recently in that he got goals (not sure if that is down to Wilshere playing a more withdrawn role nowadays).
But some people are lost causes, all that drama in his personal life were bound to be trouble.
Maybe Ole red nose should have persevered with the boy a little more to see if he matured with age.
I don't think drugs can give you skills you never had and I doubt he took those drugs as performance enhancers, he is just a talented buffon in with the wrong crowd.

On Another note sha, it seems there is some brainy chap at work in Ipswich, that is some serious talent they are getting in at good age ranges, if they can get those boys to hunker down and play, dem go hear weeen for Championship. They are really using the money they got from Wickham's sale to improve themselves.

The problem is not what we think, it is what AW thinks. Left to me, Bendtner will still be in the team next season and Chamakh will be gone.
Left to me, Lansbury will be in the team ahead of Rosicky, but Im sure Lansbury will also be sold or sent on loan.
Left to me, Ild have Eboue at RB ahead of Jenkinson but it seems Eboue is 3rd choice now.

Arsene selling JET means that he sees Chamakh, Walcott, Vela, Gervinho, RVP, as his long term forwards. At age 20, JET should be playing regularly or at worst off the bench. Since that option is not available at Arsenal, the best for him is to go on loan or be sold.
if arsene wenger does not think jay emmanuel thomas is better than chamakh, bendtner and vela then it means he's been over-hyped on these pages
i know wenger can be foolish but he cannot be that idiotic to let a prodigious talent walk away and persisting with bendtner and chamakh. it simply means j-e-t is not worth waiting for. no talent, no skills, no bottle.

The Nigerian government is double mouthed when it comes to issue of diasporans relocating to help develop Nigeria. Take d NYSC issue 4 example, quite a lot of Naijas brilliant  inventors, technocrats & professionals excelling in their feild outside d country have completely rejected the idea of going back to Naija becos they never did NYSC 4 one reason or d other hence relocating might earn them being faced with criminal charges or even being alienated from contributing their quota. So they cant give a 4uk
and why should they give a 4k! the government don't give a 4k about us as well. greedy fat bastards, cramming all the money in their bellies and letting their citizens rot away. have you seen how much senators make? semi-illiterates pocketing as much as 40-50 million naira per month saying aye and nay. . . . .and someone wants nigerians in diaspora to contribute to the development of nigeria. . . . . .what are the nigerians in nigeria doing to the fat bastards in power? round them up. . . .beat them up. . . .turn nigeria into egypt and maybe the looters will scamper for safety and the good people will take over for once!

However, I do understand the point in some women abusing privileges. I withdrew all the house support initially but then . . . .

some women love the iron hand. . . . .that's the only way they can be assured you are the man! of course, we all want to treat women the way we want our female siblings or future daughters to be treated but then it doesn't always apply. some of them still want to abuse these incentives and take you for granted and i will not stand for it. . . . .you should not stand for it as well.

rossi was sold because he wanted first team action and there's no way he was going to start ahead of van nistelrooy, rooney, ronaldo, etc. selling rossi was understandable. who in that arsenal midfield is a super duper player that is keeping jay emmanuel thomas from blossoming? ramsey? song? diaby or who? if jay-emmanuel thomas cannot force his way into that arsenal midfield then it simply means he's mediocre. no thrillz, no frillz.

The Fact remains that most Nigerians are bunch of selfish people. even when they are abroad, they look at their jobs from a point of how much it benefits them as individuals. While we are quick to point accusing fingers at the govt, we forget that the so called bad name we have abroad is not because of our government but bthe 419 business that individuals chose to do. Nigerians today are known to be criminals and it is a reflection of the whole society not the government. Until we decide to look upon my country as a plce not sacrificing for, we might never find any personal fufilment. The asian abroad alwaiz thinks creatively.  While Nigerians in the 70'S AND 80'S were studying in the western world, their asian colleagues were thinking about what they could export back home to develop their economies tru their copy technology. We have to change our orientation to one of service irespective of whether u will be appreciated or not, it is only then we can move our country forward
you must be high on weed!

if the govt were doing their jobs . . .creating employment and ensuring the smooth running of the countrry, would so many nigerians be doing 419 business? the country is sick from the head. and when the head is sick, the body will follow. corruption in nigeria is from the top and the leaders don't care about it's citizens. 40 million nigerian youths are jobless and you are saying the government shouldn't be blamed. . . .who should we blame then? our creator?

Having the opportunity doesnt necessarily mean that it will happen especially if the people you work with are not cooperative. But that aside, I believe and will continue to say that diasporans have a role to play. I mean, we have people in all manner of professions: doctors, nurses, engineers, lawyers, prison warders, police officers, social workers, etc, and we can effect the change in Nigeria.Corrupt Politics is also part of what is killing us in that country. If we can get enough people with integrity and who do not have any selfish interests (not necessarily greed but power) then things may just move forward.
all these things can only work in theory. . . . .you cannot practise it in nigeria.
it's not only feasible, the people on ground there would frustrate it from happening.

the "government" is one of the biggest scapegoats for Nigerian problems. Honestly we do not need the government to do everything for us. I have a relative who after about 6 yrs abroad returned home and got elected into important gov post. Now he can help fix it based on things he saw here in the u.s. Nigerian expats have the means to get into these government positions if we really try. But we are letting semi-illiterate elites run Nigeria into the ground.

The expat community is the closet thing Nigeria has to a middle class. And the lack of a middle class is one of the key things that holds a country back from development. Rich people are oblivious and don't care, poor people are scared, so it's always been left to the middle class ppl to push for better policies and changes in their country. We can see examples of this in eygpt and other middle eastern countries.
