The fresh graduates at OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY who were just received their call up letter for batch B 2011 NYSC programm has refused to go to BORNO STATE{i.e BOKO HARAM STATE}for their youth service due to the present situation and incessant killing of people by great boko haramist in the state. The demand made by this people not to go to any nothern state, especially borno state which is the sources of Boko Wahala are yet to be answered. What you people think, are they in right position to diside themself where to exercise their NYSC or not,do you support their resistance to such offer?TO ME I CANT GO TO WHERE THEY WILL KILL ME FOR MY PARENT,simple. What about you?
the inspector general of police should arrest the director-general of nysc for his sheer incompetence and attempting to aid in the murder of innocent corp members. in developed countries, he will be sacked for even putting borno state on the call-up letters of the nigerian youths.

she didn't even cheat the system. she has suffered multiple miscarriages in a chaotic country called nigeria. it's only reasonable for her come to the united kingdom and deliver her quintuplets. i would rather my tax pays for this woman's babies than the thousands of british yobs who go in and out of rehabs or the ones who stay at home doing nowt and signing on every week.

she needs to thread carefully, she's found a lawyer to represent her but the Tory led governments are not sympathetic to people like her, they would see her as scrounger costing the Nhs thousands of pounds while the people that make huge contributions to the conservative party pay no taxes at all, hmmmm.  the british governement can use money from some of the assets seized from some of Nigerian politicians to fund her care. I remember the case of an illegal Ghanian woman with cancer deported back to Ghana when labour was in power. Maybe the likes of Pastor Ashimolowo and other Pentecostal Pastors should come together and donate some of  their over the top salaries towards those little angels.
there's nothing the tories can do about her case. . . . .hers is an exceptional case.

she came into the country pregnant(that is where the fault lies), as at the time she was due, no airline could have shipped her back to nigeria to deliver her quintuplets. that she also had 5 babies to deliver isn't her fault. the tories should take this on the chin and accept sometimes they have to deal with issues like this. the last time i checked, the brits play the big brother role. they can deal with this.

won't this woman even need a 6-bedroom house in the heart of swiss cottage, 2 maids and 1 butler to take care of her quins? grin

Jose Enrique is far superior to Clichy. Wenger better make sure he cops that boy as replacement cos everyone else is out of his price range.

Rumours doing the rounds is that Inter have pipped Arsenal to Ricky Alvarez. Na so Wenger slow reach? E go dey discuss transfer for 2 months sotay another club just enter collect the player.

The contract negotiation with Nasri dragged on for so long that before you knew it, Nasri was getting double-price offers elsewhere. Although Nasri is worth 110k per week, I can understand Wengers reluctance as he doesn't want Wilshere, RVP and Song approaching him for the same kind of mullah.
nasri is worth £110k per week? by what standard? what has he won with club/country to even justify that wage-packet?

That's why i said making allowances for experience/norms/childhood. Technically as a guest, you aren't supposed to do anything. I on the other hand feel that even if i am one, i have to flow with the household so my activities would be planned around that as well as whatever activities planned for bride to be and groom to be. Not just in a MIL's house but in any house. That's just me and maybe the MIL feels that way undecided

For a person to be classed as mentally ill in a murder case, he will have to go through a lot to prove he is mentally ill if both the defense and prosecutor do not agree. Just because you say you are mentally ill does not mean you will walk free and you can have a serious mental illness and not get classed as criminally insane.
his violent history helps him significantly in this case should he decide to claim he's mentally ill.

On some of the other issues, i can understand.  Like the staying back in bed.  Maybe because, i just feel somehow if i'm somewhere and the household wakes up early, i wake up with them and offer whatever services that is needed, no matter what my husband to be says.
Anyway, they can marry and not visit the MIL only if the man is thus inclined.
isn't this subjected to whatever activities the couple might have gotten into in the night and the early hours?
technically, the bride-to-be is still a guest. if she gets up early to offer services it's a bonus. if she doesn't, i don't think it matters at all.

There must have been some instances that made the MIL refer to the lack of manners.
However, the MIL should have also been less strict about some of the things, like manners. This generation is not the same as hers. Make some allowances for the differences in lifestyle, experience and norms.

Though the last point, i don't know why brides to be have the tendency to want to do beyond their means.
Yes it's your day, but makes some adjustments so that they guy is not going to be totally flatlined before the married life even starts.

Plus, what did the groom to be say about all this?
i actually thought the mother-in-law was too harsh. all the points she raised here had no spine. most of the time, it's the groom-to-be that tells his partner to stay back in bed and not act too forward in the house. the food thingy was uncalled for. so a bride to be cannot voice out she doesn't eat some certain food or she needs government's permission to take more food? abeg, women get issues.

the groom-to-be must be pissed but he has not said a thing about the whole issue. as far as i'm concerned, this marriage is doomed. grin

it can be notoriously difficult to win over the in-laws.
but this bride-to-be may have a tougher task than most after her future mother-in-law emailed her a vicious character assassination in which she attacked her for her ‘staggering uncouthness and lack of grace’.

this is the email:

It is high time someone explained to you about good manners. Yours are obvious by their absence and I feel sorry for you.

Unfortunately for Freddie, he has fallen in love with you and Freddie being Freddie, I gather it is not easy to reason with him or yet encourage him to consider how he might be able to help you. It may just be possible to get through to you though. I do hope so.

If you want to be accepted by the wider Bourne family I suggest you take some guidance from experts with utmost haste. There are plenty of finishing schools around.

Please, for your own good, for Freddie’s sake and for your future involvement with the Bourne family, do something as soon as possible.
Here are a few examples of your lack of manners:

--When you are a guest in another’s house, you do not declare what you will and will not eat – unless you are positively allergic to something.

--You do not remark that you do not have enough food. You do not start before everyone else.

--You do not take additional helpings without being invited to by your host.

--When a guest in another’s house, you do not lie in bed until late morning in households that rise early – you fall in line with house norms.

--You should never ever insult the family you are about to join at any time and most definitely not in public.
I gather you passed this off as a joke but the reaction in the pub was one of shock, not laughter.

--You should have hand-written a card to me. You have never written to thank me when you have stayed.

--You regularly draw attention to yourself. Perhaps you should ask yourself why.

--No one gets married in a castle unless they own it. It is brash, celebrity style behaviour.

--I understand your parents are unable to contribute very much towards the cost of your wedding. (There is nothing wrong with that except that convention is such that one might presume they would have saved over the years for their daughters’ marriages.)
If this is the case, it would be most ladylike and gracious to lower your sights and have a modest wedding as befits both your incomes

--One could be accused of thinking that Heidi Withers must be patting herself on the back for having caught a most eligible young man. I pity Freddie.
is the mother-in-law justified to attack her son's fiancee in this manner or did the fiancee stepped beyond her boundaries?

Its not really about the replacements (though that matters too), its more about breaking the core of the team just when we all think ", just one more season, "
managers replenish their teams every time. the triumvirate of tevez, ronaldo and rooney was broken, fergie signed berbatov. . . . pep guardiola also did the same with messi, henry, etoo. . . .he signed ibracadabra and promoted pedro. these things happen. one cannot just rely on one team to do the deed every season - the manager would get found out.

It took Nasri two seasons to get to where he is now and we are having this issue with him just when the Nasri/Cesc/RVP combo was jelling. Same way we sold Flamini and Hleb just when the Cesc/Hleb and Flamini como was jelling.
whose fault is this. the players want to leave. you are talking it's arsene that's behind these moves. what can a manager do if a player insists on leaving.

Same way we sold Kolo one season and had Gallas/TV5 next season only to sell Gallas the following season and then watch Kos and Djorou.
toure and gallas were past their prime. toure was adding weight like a biatch(reasons he took his wife's pills) and gallas couldn't be fit to save a life.

Fans have every reason to be hyper at this stage. Like buntu said, its business as usual. We are only hoping we will deviate from the norm this time around
the rants are not justified yet. wait until august 31st at least!

dayokanu:
Flamini left in 2008, Song was already in Arsenal just promoted to first team
same thing. wenger could afford flamini leaving cos he already had a smaller general waiting in the ranks. some arsenal fans would actually tell you song has done a better job than a one season wonder flamini.

I give you Nasri
you have to gimme nasri. . . . .and wenger even went as far as providing a plan b for nasri by signing arshavin. what else do gaynners want?

Adebayo left in 2009, Chamakh came a season later So who filled in the immediate gap? Dont be surprised if Clichy leaves and Wenger promotes Gibbs, same with Nasri and Fab
adebayor left in 2009 but van persie has always been there. adebayor took advantage of van persie's injury in 2008 and he did well. when adebayor left, van persie went back to his natural role and he did well. chamakh was added cos van persie couldn't be fit without copping injuries on international assignments. i repeat, these rants are not justified.

Those are not good startegies when you are trophyless, Fergie can afford at this moment to sack his first 11 and bring boys from U21 team of Austria, YES he has proven he can do it.
just like wenger can do it if the fans back him.

Look now A top class lehman left, What did Wenger do? Compare that to when VDS left = De Gea in,  Giggs left = Young in
dayokanu, na u sell giggs? grin cheesy abeg o, our wife-snatcher is still pumping n firing. grin

as per the goalkeeper issue; that is the only justified criticism. since lehmann left, wenger has refused to replace him. i will give you that. a team needs a world class goalkeeper to win trophies. why wenger hasn't replaced lehmann is a mystery. . . . but for the outfield players, there's nothing any manager can do about that.

would you keep a disinterested player or sell him quickly to get another? this isn't rocket science, people.

Slightly different, In most cases when Fergie loses players, He would trade them on his own term and plan a replacement
There was a reason Rooney wasnt sold last season because ferguson does not have a planned succesor lined up
The season Beckham left Fergie planned on getting Dinho it didnt work and he got CR7, Roy Keane left, Carrick stepped in etc.
replacing ronaldo with beckham then was a step-down. . . . .who knew ronaldo would become what he is now?

Compare with Arsenal. In 2008 they had a great season Sold Flamini and hleb 2 of their top 4 performers, Who did they replace them with? They sold Adebayor who did they replace him with, Sold Kolo who did they replace him with? Sylvestre
flamini = song
hleb = nasri
adebayor = chamakh
kolo toure = vermaelen or koscielny.

not so bad replacements. . . .the new boys just need to step up and and challenge.
