I like Hummels because he looks classy and skillful but i am starting to doubt what exactly he brings to the table at this moment.

the young lads will learn from him. that's the most important feature if we get him. our young defenders need guide.

He is a defender who is better with the ball that without the ball, he struggles to remain fit in a less physical league, he and his other Dortmund defenders have always struggled with long high balls into their box (telling me he is not as good in the air as he should be with his size), he is not the quickest defender available and i think his organizational skills are over-rated.

any of our defenders will struggle in the dortmund set up. he does more defending these days than anytime he's been at dortmund. there's no protection at all in the current dortmund side. besides, he would be coming to us - our possession in the last game was 74%. his work would be less with the new LVG system that emphasises more on keeping the ball.

Having said all that Evans out for 1 or 2 out of Hummels,Varane and Marquinhos would be a good change.

i used to diss oshea & brown.......but they are way better than evans & jones even as we speak.

Ashley Young has shown real heart this season i have to give him that and i agree has been one of our more reliable performers this season.

he's completely turned it around - they are working out a new deal for him sef & i say he deserves it.

I hope LVG with our 2nd half performance has finally seen what real width can do for this team.

he will thrive with us. he's an excellent passer of the ball from the back - something you cannot say about our current defenders unless carrick or blind plays in the defence.

They weren't attacked really to assess him well. PSG played all the ball. He looks like a calm defender to me though more like Rio than Vidic. T.Silva was more noticed. He's not better than what we've.

What we need is an experienced CB to bring leadership and organisation at the back. His presence will bring out the best in our young defenders.

chris smalling is starting to find his feet though. if he gets a run of 12 games without injuries or bench time, he might hit his peak this year.
