Ilekokonit:let me find some of them.....he's a loon but what he said makes sense...he wrote this letter to his son as far back as 1748. "As women are a considerable, or at least a pretty numerous part of company; and as their suffrages go a great way toward establishing a man’s character in the fashionable part of the world (which is of great importance to the fortune and figure he proposes to make in it), it is necessary to please them. I will therefore, upon this subject, let you into certain Arcana that will be very useful for you to know, but which you must, with the utmost care, conceal and never seem to know. Women, then, are only children of a larger growth; they have an entertaining tattle, and sometimes wit; but for solid reasoning, good sense, I never knew in my life one that had it, or who reasoned or acted consequentially for four-and-twenty hours together. Some little passion or humor always breaks upon their best resolutions. Their beauty neglected or controverted, their age increased, or their supposed understandings depreciated, instantly kindles their little passions, and overturns any system of consequential conduct, that in their most reasonable moments they might have been capable of forming. A man of sense only trifles with them, plays with them, humors and flatters them, as he does with a sprightly forward child; but he neither consults them about, nor trusts them with serious matters; though he often makes them believe that he does both; which is the thing in the world that they are proud of. For they love mightily to be dabbling in business (which by the way they always spoil); and being justly distrustful that men in general look upon them in a trifling light, they almost adore that man who talks more seriously to them, and who seems to consult and trust them; I say, who seems; for weak men really do, but wise ones only seem to do it." |
Ilekokonit:i mastered the art from a very young age. came across some of lord chesterfield's musings in my teens & that prepared me fully for this world of sin. But doesn't that take out the spontaneity out of love or is love really and truly dead like everything in the world seems to point to ?chicken & egg, bro...... if you love, you leave yourself exposed. if you don't love, you lose nothing. so it depends on how you wanna play it. ![]() |
Ilekokonit:it's a game of chess..... thank God, i know how to play chess. i'm 100% covered. |
chaircover:grandma ke? i used the MTN to call all my concubines from the north pole to the himalayan mountains. grandma & grandpa can wait. they have lived their lives, it's my time now. ![]() |
itstpia8:you are a fool! you old for nothing sket that pròstitutes herself from thread to thread looking for online relevance. how old are you again? you are what every nigerian teenage girl should pray not to ever become. you have the swag of a leprous woman. |
LordReed:what a simplistic mind you've got.... it's not about fücking, it's the fact that the new woman puts a spotlight on the competence of the wife......so crackhaus is technically correct using that analogy. ask yourself why wives get antsy when they see their MILs making food for the husband. it sends a clear message that the wife isn't good enough to make his food & it will undermine her confidence. if you cannot draw the 2 analogies together then i don't think you can be helped. |
in that case, the old witch called itstpia8 is....... SEXY |
Shirley07:we had no excuse not to walk away with all the 3 points tonight. mcnair & blackett are better than evans. the back four would have coped better with rafael--jones--mcnair--blackett. Anyway, Van Gaal shouldn't be absolved from the blame too. The annoying thing about him is that he keeps promoting the wrong young players. No doubt Wilson is a great talent but we have many forwards in the team that need game time, especially Januzaj and that's when you consider Wilson himself needs regular game time which he's likely to have in the reserves and the fact that the reserve team has no striker.i called him out the moment i saw the line-up. the tactical approach was rubbish. the formation isn't really the problem, the personnel tasked to play the formation is the main issue. And there's Thorpe, the reserve captain who was better than any of Blackett, McNair, Keane in the reserves. I saw him for the u20 worldcup last year and he was a rock in the defence for the England team. He's also a good on the ball, even better than the aforementioned names.you watch under-20 world cup? Lastly, we have some good central midfielders (Pearson, Harrop, Perreira) in the reserves that should have been promoted to avoid the reliance on the likes of Mata and Fellaini in midfield. The two bolded players are even the interesting ones because one is a playmaking CM (Harrop) and the other, a holding CM (Pearson) who's capable of being an understudy to Blind, now that Carrick is put in defence.enough is just enough! any of our old players still crocked after christmas should be sold. we need at least one more defender & a box-to-box midfielder. i thought rojo was fully back - where is he? herrera, fellaini, shaw, rafael, blind, etc. these players better shape up or ship out. |
Eziachi:and which of the hoodlums in that picture is incapable of assassinating a political adversary? look at their murderous faces again and answer my question. |
jonathan's political machine in full effect.... some igbo leaders have been bribed again. these are people's grandfathers displaying gross ineptitude - the type you would expect from street urchins. pray for these men in church tomorrow, they have mortgaged the souls of their unborn generation for a plate of GEJ's pottage. |
limamintruth:i had my doctorate degree in this field long before the biafran war. if i post my certificates here, the forum might crash. ![]() |
Timbuktou:whose orgašm? mine or hers? if it's mine - i don't think so. i have enough brown boots in my store, i dunno what to do with them. nothing compares to orgäsm. ![]() Ilekokonit:but our society is also highly judgemental. i agree the foundation of lies don't last but it buys them time to become someone's mrs before it gets too late for them. Also, only a man that doesn't ask probing questions will be fooled. If you are someone with an inquisitive mind, a retentive memory, someone who doesn't sweep things under the carpet and who can also add 2 + 2 to give 4 then her lies will come crashing down in no time.some women are professional liars..... you don't stand a chance catching their lies unless you are fortunate to find something out by accident. I'm one for laying your cards face up upfront to avoid future BIGGER disappointments which tend to hurt more than if you had told the truth in the first place.it's easier for a man to go that route. what exactly puts a man at any disadvantage? nothing! multiple sėx partners? love-kids? babymammas? none of this seems to affect men like the women. |
limamintruth:bring your fees for the next lecture.... ![]() |
limamintruth:it's hereditary. it is usually inherited in an autosomal recessive fashion, which means that two non-functioning FMO3 genes are usually needed for a person to have symptoms. both parents of an individual with TMAU are carriers of the condition, in other words, they both carry one copy of an altered gene for FMO3. since this condition usually requires two altered genes to cause symptoms, typically neither parent of an individual with trimethylaminuria has any symptoms. The little i know about the TMAU is that its a genetic disorder that causes those affected to develop an abnormal fishy smell of primarily their SWEAT, URINE & BREATH. And this condition can affect both male and/or female.it's not only sweat, urine & breath - it affects reproductive fluids as well. Nonetheless, i completely agree with the OP that such abnormal fishy smell requires medical attention.TMA is incurable. it can only be managed or reduced to the barest stench but an altered gene is an altered gene - and it can be passed to the offspring if care isn't taken before choosing a partner. |
Truckpusher:i am not even talking about 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th names.....it's the first name i am talking about here. a FIL feeling entitled to name a child i sired? he would be thoroughly & verbally lashed......he would tell me which part of his spërm cells produced the baby he wants to name. african parents need to calm down - they are the ones destroying many marriages although the economy could be blamed too. some of these wives spent close to 35 years under their father's roofs so the dads feel like they own them - marriage or not! the FIL that will try such nonsense with me will live to regret it.nansense! |
Ilekokonit:that's the problem with nigerian marriages - the parents always feel like the boss. i have heard cases of FILs/MILs feeling entitled to name the grandkids. can you freaking imagine? a FIL would challenge me cos he feels he should name my own kids? ![]() that will be the day...... |
Mondisweets:she cannot receive gifts that would question his hubby's competence. she's now married - i as her father shoul focus on my own marriage, my other unmarried siblings & leave the daughter alone to deal with her teething problems. if she has meetings to attend during the day she has to move around in cabs with is quite costly, simply because you don't want to bruise your son in-law's ego?who chose the hubby for her? did i? she decided herself that she's found the best man for herself - let her deal with the challenges that come with it. if she needs help, it must be with consent of her hubby. no hidden secrets. rotten attitude abi? If he has to work late, who will pick her up and take her home in time to make dinner? If she has business meetings to attend to during the week who will drive her around? If she wants to attend a wedding out of town and he wants to go watch a game with friends at the bar, who will sacrifice what for who?i expect her to have considered all these things before bringing him to my house that she's found the one. i don't do medicine after death. all i need to ask if she's sure the man she's brought home is her wish. i would endeavour to ask her these questions 3 times before giving my blessings to them. if she answers affirmatively, then i dare not interfere until they seek my counsel. Ibadannimowa:suffer silently in marriage? what kinda daughter do you intend to raise? my daughter's sense of security would be her intelligence, not me. so wives with no parents have no security? |
EnlightenedSoul:what is so disturbing in daughters getting helped by their fathers as it's been explained here? we read naija news everyday of all sorts of incëst going on in hundreds of thousands of households so i am not surprised by the reaction i am getting here. |
Mondisweets:of course.... once my daughter is married, her hubby is the next of kin, not me. young couples should be allowed to build together, learn together & err together. i will not undermine my son-in-law just because I feel like throwing my weight around. only irresponsible fathers do such - the nouveau riche are most likely to have this rotten attitude. why can't 2 people share a car? if the wife can't get pregnant, will the father sleep with her to ease her worries? LordReed:your greek gift overrules my decision. i intend to be the head of my house though so i woulda put you in your place long before I get married to your daughter. keep your gifts to yourself or to your other unmarried kids. this is why i tell men of today to make money before ever thinking of getting married. can you imagine? you would gift my wife a car without my consent as her hubby? what a joke!!! better prepare the guest room under your roof cos your daughter & the car would be coming back in the evening as your guests. |
Ilekokonit:you can't blame them too much.... their biological clock puts them at a huge disadvantage......and if you meet a 35 year old chic, you would want to know her history between 18 & 35, won't you? ![]() taking 10 years off solves 90% of her problems. ![]() |
it's funny! with the amount of talents on the pitch today, we had to rely on ashley young for the bulk of the creativity. his wages should be trebled. he has been as important as carrick & de gea for the number of points we have accrued in the last 7 games. https://giant.gfycat.com/AmpleAdmiredChevrotain.gif |
Ilekokonit:10 bloody years off her age? ![]() by the time she's "28", her eggs woulda calcified. ![]() |
shinejackie:.....but an old witch thinks its noise-making ![]() |
limamintruth:now you know..... |
Chillisauce: Crackhaus come and answer present o. Coogar is already heredon't cosign that old witch of an OP! she's frustrated - menopause often has it's downsides. |
mcfarlin:van persie's sub ruined it for us. wilson played worse than van persie & van persie is the type that has late goals in him....especially a 10-man villa. the substitutions ruined our tempo & we played better against villa's 11 men. if we beat spurs & the toon army, this result won't matter to me. 19 points out of the last 21 is decent but this is one of the matches in that 7-game-run you would have expected us to win with aplomb. |
we have pissed 2 points away... the balance of the team was never right from the outset. we should return evans & wilson back to the reserves. i dunno why poor players rarely get injured. evans should never wear our shirt again. |
Shirley07:if the gift has a malicious undertone to it, i would not stand for it. i am tired of nosey nigerian parents who love to showoff because of some ill-gotten wealth. if you dig deep into the father's past now, you would find out he didn't buy his first car until his 60s. |
the intensity has dropped. villa fans are a disgrace - they are not returning the ball. the ball boys have been fannying around with the ball as well. i hope we score the winner in added time they have managed to cause for themselves. anything else but 3 points would feel like a loss here. |
LordReed:a bïtch-ašs hubby would let his FIL overrule his decision. a sane hubby would flip you a bird & return the car back to you in a bubblewrap. i am the head of my household, not your daughter! Shirley07:if i could cook for myself, i won't need a wife. But in this case, the wife cooks for the husband and the husband lacks no care as opposed to the wife having no car while the husband has one. So, it's the wife that lacks something here, not the husband.her food isn't delicious enough or her care lacks quality. i can make that excuse too. I'm still of the opinion that the dad has every right to give comfort to his daughter whichever way he can. And only an insecure man would feel like a little man because of this.he should have done that before he married her off. after brideprice has been taken from me, i get to decide what is acceptable & what isn't, no? i am the head of my household, not my FIL. if he insists on superseding me, he can have his daughter back. |
remsonik:you are talking bollocks.... i ain't surprised though - not too many people of your gender reason rationally. |
falcao's movement is world class..... i dunno why we played carrick in the defence for 45 mins. he woulda found falcao with at least one pass in that first half unlike fletcher & rooney preferring the safe passes. |
